Abstract

Lake Tempe is a technical lake that stretches across three districts in South Sulawesi, namely Wajo Regency, Sidendang Rappang Regency and Soppeng Regency. Because of its vastness, people use the lake for various activities, one of which is the textile industry. The textile industry uses a lot of chemicals which are then dissolved in water. These materials contain suspended solids, organic substances and heavy metals. The washing stage is the final process of the textile industry. The waste product is liquid waste containing heavy metals, including copper (Cu). To reduce or remove Cu metal found in Tempe Lake, phytoremediation techniques are used. Phytoremediation is an effort made to remove hazardous substances in areas contaminated with waste by using plants that have phytoremediator properties. Water plants that can be used are apu wood (Pistia stratiotes). The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of apu (Pistia stratiotes) to remediate Cu2 + in contaminated Lake Tempe water. The research method used included: Cu2+ assay, physicochemical analysis, Bio-Concentration Factor (BCF) and identification of functional groups. The greatest adsorbed Cu metal ion on apu wood is on the 10th day of 100,274 mg / Kg.

Abstract

Estrogen-α (ER-α) is a major target in cancer therapy. Targeting the ER-α target protein is known to slow the proliferation of breast cancer cells. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction of the complex compound Zn(II)Prolinedithiocarbamate against the Estrogen-α Receptor. The Zn(II)Prolinedithiocarbamate complex was predicted canonical SMILE by Cheminfo online application (O=C(O)C1CCCN1C2S[Zn]S2) and modeled with online corina to obtain a three-dimensional structure. The structure of the complex compound Zn(II)Prolinedithiocarbamate interacted with Estrogen receptor alpha protein to test its potential anticancer activity. Molecular docking results show the interaction of the Zn(II)Prolinedithiocarbamate complex with the Estrogen- receptor on the amino acid residues ARG394, LEU387, GLU353, LEU346, LEU349, and PHE404. The Zn(II)Prolinedithiocarbamate complex interacts directly with ER-α in the estrogen region which causes the failure of the interaction between estrogen and the estrogen receptor, so it can be predicted that the Zn complex has activity as an ER-α inhibitor and has the potential to be developed in the treatment of breast cancer.

Abstract

This study aims to compare student learning outcomes between those using the TGT cooperative learning model and the STAD type. The type of research used is quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental) with Pretest-Posttest One Groups Design. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The instrument used to determine student learning outcomes is a multiple-choice test. The results showed that the average learning outcomes of students who were taught using the TGT type cooperative learning model were 86.7, while the intermediate student learning outcomes taught using the STAD type cooperative learning model were 79.71. The results of inferential data analysis show that the significance value obtained is 5.13 > T table 2.003. In conclusion, there is a significant difference between the TGT type of cooperative learning model and the STAD type of cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of class VII students of SMP Negeri 2 Majauleng. Abstract

This study aims to determine the mother-in-law's tongue (Sansevieria trifasciata) has the potential to remediate Cu contained in the soil. The method used is an experimental method to test the absorption potential of mother-in-law's tongue plant on ground contaminated with Cu metal. The results showed that the samples from days 0, 3, 6, and 9 did not show any changes in the adsorbed metal. The four samples contained the same heavy metal copper (Cu) concentration, which was <0.50 ppm. In conclusion, the mother-in-law's tongue (Sansevieria trifasciata) is not very effective as phytoremediation of soil contaminated with Cu metal but can still be used as phytoremediation. Abstract

This study aims to determine the initial content of copper metal found in land kangkung (Ipomoea reptans) plants. The method used is the descriptive quantitative analysis method. The results showed that samples 1, 2, 3, and 4 each had <0.50 mg/kg copper metal found in land kangkung. In conclusion, land kangkung has not been polluted, so it is safe for consumption and can also be used as phytoremediation in an environment contaminated by heavy metals. Abstract

This study aimed to obtain a Puring cultivar (Codiaeum variegatum) that can adapt to heavy and robust copper (Cu) stress and test its potential as a phytoremediation plant. The method used was a randomized block design (RAK). The results showed that the number of leaves and plant height did not show a significant difference. The most important copper (Cu) convergence in the formation was found in the Teri cultivar, with a convergence level of 126,399 ppm. In conclusion, puring cultivar can be used as a phytoremediation agent in an environment contaminated with substantial copper (Cu) metal because of its long roots and does not require more expensive costs. Abstract

Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) merupakan salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat. Dalam PHBS terdapat beberapa indikator yang diacukan dalam pelaksanaan penyuluhan PHBS .salah satunya Cuci tangan pakai sabun sebagai upaya preventif dalam melindungi diri dari berbagai penyakit menular . Mencuci tangan dengan air dan sabun dapat lebih efektif menghilangkan kotoran dan debu secara mekanis dari permukaan kulit dan secara bermakna mengurangi jumlah mikroorganisme penyebab penyakit seperti virus, bakteri dan parasit lainnya pada kedua tangan. Cuci tangan pakai sabun sebagai upaya preventif dalam melindungi diri dari berbagai penyakit menular. Cuci tangan menggunakan sabun dapat kita lakukan pada waktu-waktu berikut: sebelum menyiapkan makanan, sebelum dan sesudah makan, setelah BAK dan BAB, setelah membuang ingus, setelah membuang dan atau menangani sampah, kemudian setelah bermain/memberi makan/memegang hewan, serta setelah batuk atau bersin pada tangan kita. Cuci tangan pakai sabun yang dipraktikkan secara tepat dan benar merupakan cara termudah dan efektif untuk mencegah berjangkitnya penyakit. Mencuci tangan dengan air dan sabun dapat lebih efektif menghilangkan kotoran dan debu secara mekanis dari permukaan kulit dan secara bermakna mengurangi jumlah mikroorganisme penyebab penyakit seperti virus, bakteri dan parasit lainnya pada kedua tangan. Mencuci tangan dengan menggunakan air dan sabun dapat lebih efektif membersihkan kotoran dan telur cacing yang menempel pada permukaan kulit, kuku dan jari-jari pada kedua tangan. Tujuan penyuluhan ini untuk meningkatkan kesadaran siswa SD 94 Watampanua, agar tidak lagi salah dalam melakukan kebiasaan cici tangan dengan menggunakan sabun. Metode palaksanaan yang digunakan memberikan contoh cara cuci tangan yang benar dengan menggunakan sabun, ada beberapa siswa yang sudah menerapkan cuci tangan dengan benar menggunakan sabun

Abstract

Kegiatan pendampingan ini adalah untuk memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat di kelurahan Cempalagi tentang hidroponik, meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang media tanam hidroponik dan mengharpkan masyarakat mengetahui cara pembuatan media tanam NFT dan wick sistem. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode demonstarsi karena warga/masyarakat melihat secara langsung media pembutan tanam hidroponik dengan media power point, praktik dengan media hidroponik yang telah disediakan agar memudahkan warga/masyarakat dalam membuat media tanam hidroponik. Hidroponik adalah suatu metode bercocok tanam tanpa menggunakan media tanah, melainkan dengan menggunakan larutan mineral bernutrisi atau bahana lainnya yang mengandung unsure hara. Teknik hidroponik ini juga terjamin kebebasannya dari hama dan penyakit, tanaman tumbuh lebih cepat dan pemakaian pupuk lebih hemat, bila ada tanaman yang mati bisa diganti dengan tanaman baru dengan mudah tanaman akan memberikan hasil yang continue, dan lain sebagainya. Beberapa faktor penting yang harus diperhatikan larutan nutrisi, media, dan oksigen. Prospek usaha dengan menggunakan teknik budidaya hidroponik ini sangat bagus sekali

Abstract

This study aims to learn about using the WhatsApp application in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method used is Traditional Review. The results showed that WhatsApp was useful in bridging the communication gap between lecturers and students during the e-learning process and cost-effective, easy and practical to use. In conclusion, the use of the WhatsApp application tends to get a positive response, so it has an important role in the world of education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Abstract

The importance of essential metal ions and their metal complexes in the creation of prospective medical therapies has long been recognized. In chemistry, molecular biology, and medicinal fields; the interaction of metal complexes with DNA has been a subject of study. The dithiocarbamate essential metal complex is described extensively in the literature for its various benefits and advantages. With proper use of ligands, it is proven to increase the cytotoxic activity of metal complexes against cancer cells. Some researches have shown significant progress regarding the biological activities of the dithiocarbamate essential metal complex as antimicrobial, antioxidant, and anticancer agents. Metal complexes form complexes with dithiocarbamate ligands with unique structural variations. In this study, we presented an overview of the cytotoxic effects of some dithiocarbamate essential metal complexes on cancer cells, as well as fresh approaches to the design of essential metal-based therapeutics containing dithiocarbamate and molecular targets in cancer therapy. This review may provide an update on recent developments in the medicinal use of essential metals with dithiocarbamate ligands, carried out to identify recent relevant literature. Finally, we predict that the essential metal complexed with dithiocarbamate can be a new breakthrough in the future development of cancer drugs.
