Treatment of cancer such as surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy have many side effects such as cardiotoxicity, hepatotoxicity, and immunosuppressant, therefore selective cochemopreventive agent is needed. Awar-awar (Ficus septica) is a traditional medicinal plant that is known as a potential cancer chemopreventive agent. The purpose of this study was to determine the cytotoxic effect of ethanolic leaves extract of awar-awar (EFs) against 4T1 and MCF7/HER2 breast cancer cells; WIDR colon cells cancer, HeLa cervix cells cancer, and Vero normal cells. The cytotoxic test was performed by MTT assay. The parameter obtained from the cytotoxic test was IC50. Selectivity index was determined from IC50 ratio of cancer cells to normal cells Vero. The results showed that EFs has a cytotoxic activity on cancer cell line with IC50 61,2 µg/mL on 4T1; 48 µg/mL on MCF7/HER2; 122,4 µg/mL on Hela; 75,9 µg/mL on WiDR; and 394,8 µg/mL on Vero. It can be concluded that EFs has high selectivity on various cancer cells with selectivity index more than 3.

Asphyxia is a condition in which a newborn baby suffers from respiratory failure spontaneously and regularly. It causes neonatal mortality. Globally, 120 million babies are born every year and 1 million of them die because of asphyxia. The research aimed to find the relationship of pregnancy disease and labor type to asphyxia. The research design was cross-sectional. The sample size was 203 babies, taken from secondary data. The statistical test showed that most of the pregnancy disease was severe preeclampsia (45.8%), most of the labor type was spontaneous labor (44.3%), and most of neonatals was moderate asphyxia (82.8%). The result of statistical test by using Chi Square showed p value of 0.025, in which p value < alpha (0.05). It can be concluded that the relationship of pregnancy disease and asphyxia was present. It may happen due to a disease suffered by the mother such as hypertension and preeclampsia which influences placental uterine circulation of fetus. A deficient placental uterine circulation impacts on fetus development disorder and respiratory disorder. Meanwhile, the relationship of labor type and asphyxia showed p value of 0.945. It can be concluded that there was no correlation between labor type and asphyxia. The research recommends monitoring on the condition of pregnant mother and her fetus, especially the mother with pregnancy disease, and motivating pregnant mother to do ANC visits regularly.

Complication that can occur in type II diabetes mellitus is painful diabetic neuropathy (PDN). The impact of untreated PDN is an increased risk of amputation. PDN is assessed by using a valid and reliable instrument of neuropathic pain, namely Douleur Neuropathique en 4 questions (DN4) questionnaire. One of nursing interventions for PDN is Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) which can help reduce pain and increase the ability to feel touch/light pressure of the lower extremities. This research aimed to analyze the nursing intervention of TENS in diabetic patients with symptoms of PDN. This research used experimental method applied to one patient with type II diabetes who has PDN symptom. TENS was applied for 5 days with the duration of 30 minutes for each day. The results showed decrease in Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) from 5 to 2 (0-10) and an increased ability in feeling touch/light pressure to the lower extremities. Therefore TENS intervention is highly recommended to be applied in nursing care, especially for patients with type II diabetes mellitus.

Cancer is the most leading disease that cause of death. Doxorubicin chemotherapy is often used in cancer treatment, because of its effectiveness. Although doxorubicin has a positive effect for killing cancer cell, doxorubicin has many side effects, one of which doxorubicin can cause kidney damage through the process of interstitial fibrosis. Utilization garlic chives extract as co chemotherapy to reduce renal damage induced by doxorubicin is a prospective opportunities. This study aimed to analyze the effect of garlic chives extract as a nephroprotective on levels of BUN and creatinine of wistar rats induced by doxorubicin. The research method was quasi experimental design with post test only randomized controlled group. The results showed that extracts of garlic chives can reduce levels of BUN and creatinine (p <0.05) in the group that only induced by doxorubicin. In conclusion, extract of garlic chives has nephroprotecive effects on wistar rats which were induced by doxorubicin.

A good nutrient status is influenced by the amount of food intake. Malnutrition status is directly influenced by food intake and infectious disease. It is also indirectly influenced by nurturing system, food availability, social, economic, culture and political factor. This research was conducted to describe condition of baby, under five years old children, and pregnant woman in coastal area and mountain range. This study was a descriptive research with cross sectional approach. There were 25 respondents in mountain area and 25 respondents in coastal area taken by purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaire and observational sheet of nutritional status of pregnant women, babies, and under five years old children. Result based on major assessment of nutrient status showed tendency to emaciation of babies and under five years old children in coastal area and tendency to obesity of pregnant women in coastal area. This condition was influenced by education level, family income, and knowledge of nurturing system. Weight of pregnant women should be adequate and increases according to the gestational age because the normal weight gain of mother will result in a normal weight gain of the baby. Nutrient status of pregnant woman during their developmental stage and during their pregnancy will affect fetal growth and development. Results of this research indicate that role of all sectors are needed to monitor health status by observing some aspect of nutrient status in a susceptible groups such as pregnant woman, babies and under five years old children as the target of Sustainable Goal Standard (SDGs).

Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the major infectious diseases in the world. There were 10.4 million new tuberculosis cases in 2015 and the number of deaths reached 1.4 million. This literature review described the effectiveness of peer group support to improve the quality of life of clients especially with pulmonary tuberculosis and other chronic diseases. This literature review used 25 electronic journals from over 100 international and national electronic journals published between 2006 and 2016, with the inclusion criteria of studies using peer group support treatment, tuberculosis disease and other chronic diseases treated with peer group support. The exclusion criteria is research using group method, but there was no resemblance due to illnes among client that follow the group method. Keywords used to find the journals were peer group support for pulmonary tuberculosis and “dukungan sebaya terhadap klien dengan tuberkulosis paru”. Search engines of this study were Google search, PNRI (Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia) and Master journals. Twenty five journals used in this literature review concluded that peer group support can improve quality of life of clients with pulmonary tuberculosis and other chronic diseases such as diabetes mellitus and HIV-AIDS, but some conditions need additional therapy to be more optimal. Peer group support can improve quality of life of TB clients and can be recommended as a variety of nursing interventions in controlling pulmonary tuberculosis

FPE was given four times a week with a total of 12 times in 3 weeks and the duration was 60 minutes for each session. Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (ZSAS) was applied to measure anxiety level. The result of data analysis using Kruskal Wallis test showed p value of 0.001 (α=0.05). There was a significant influence of family psychoeducation (FPE) therapy on the anxiety level of family whose member suffers from cataract. Psychoeducation therapy can increase knowledge and empowerment of families in caring for family members who suffer from cataracts.
