Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze achievement elastisity, to know the different level of consument achievement toward meet broiler in early and final month, to know the factors influence meet broiler achievement, and to know the influent of Al occur toward consument favorite on buying meet broiler in traditional market in Surakarta. The step of collecting data of this research was done on Juni to Juli 2007 with the taking data location in Gede market, Legi market, Kleco market and Kadipiro market. The research basic method used is descriptive method with taking sample technic is porposively random sampling on selling respondent is about 40 people. The analysis data used is analysis of double linier product function. The result of this research shows the average of the buying total per day in every selling respondent is about 51,75 broiler. The average detail of the buying consist of in early month is about 52 broiler and in final month is about 51,5 broiler/day/treader. From t-test exam is known that t value count the average month and meet broiler in early month and in final month is same. It means 0,240 where the value smallest than the value t table of the belileve level 95% (t count < t table), so H0 achieved means the buying meet broiler in early and in final month is not different. From regretion analysis result was done achieve regretion model: Y=0,908+0,040X1+0,000X2-0,001X3+0,143X4-0,088X5+e, with determinant coeficient (R2) is about 22,9%. The F value count is about 10,651 where value Fcount > Ftable is about 2,621 with df to counting is about 5 (k-1) and df together independent variable (the income of consument family, the price of meet broiler, the price of substitution goods, the total of members of consument family, and (the total of meet broiler achievement). While, the individually is only price of meet broiler  variable has fact influent. From the analysis result conclude that the achievement of meet broiler in Surakarta is inelastically, it caused by significant regretion, coefisien is 0,001 and among value 0 and 1 (0<ES<1).

Abstract

Increasing on electricity price by Indonesian Government in 2001 by 17.47% and 2002 by 24% not only has negative impact on industry sectors but also on agricultural sectors. This paper aims to analysis impact on agricultural sectors performance with using a Recursive Dynamic Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) Model, namely “INDOF model”. The simulation indicates both in the short run and long run increasing on electricity price will reduce industry output, household consumption and employment in agricultural sectors. Besides that the policy will increase price of agricultural product. The negative impacts except household consumption are higher in the long run than that in the short run.

Abstract

Malnutrition is still one of the big problems the majority of developing countries including Indonesia. Malnutrition is the result of insufficient intake of available nutrients in the human diet. The availability of nutrients is mainly determined by the output of food produced from agricultural systems. Plants provide almost all the necessary vitamins and minerals, but due to low mineral content in staple crops, resulting in the intake becomes less and lead to malnutrition or lack of nutrients. Unfortunately, as a result of population pressure, a lot of the current global food system does not provide enough micronutrients to ensure adequate micronutrient intake for everyone. This has resulted in an increase in the prevalence of micro-nutrient deficiencies (for example, iron deficiency, vitamin A deficiency, and iodine), which now afflicts many poor women resources, infants and children in developing countries. To get a balanced nutrition and adequate then improve the quality of agriculture as a food ingredient indispensable. Various attempts to overcome nutritional deficiencies especially regarding micro nutrient deficiencies, such as supplementation, food fortification and diversification of the food has a lot to do, but did not provide maximum results. Another alternative approach to address the problem of shortage of micronutrients is biofortification, genetic biofortification or agronomic biofortification. This approach emerged due to health and human well-being depends entirely on the plants, either directly or indirectly.

Abstract

The research ordering to analyze the greatest affecting of production factors to the production result in soybean farm in Sukoharjo Regency and to find out whether the farmer in Sukoharjo Regency had reached the highest economic efficiency. The main method of research was descriptive and the technique was by using survey. The research was conducted in Sukoharjo Regency. The research took 30 farmers as the sample. The samples are monoculture soybean farmer which selected by purpusive sampling. The result of the doubled-linier regression analysis performed that the production factors which gave the greatest affecting to the result of soybean production is large of land. The large of land has linier comparison effect to the production result of soybean and affected to the production result of soybean, means addition of production factor of seeds exactly will be bring increase the production result of soybean. Based on the maximum profit approach can be found out that the combination of the use of production factors in soybean farm in Sukoharjo Regency not yet optimal. It means that the soybean farm needs combination of increasing and or decreasing production factors to optimize the use of production factor.

Abstract

Rice production in Indonesia can not cover the national needs. The low productivity caused by the decline in soil fertility. One way to increase the phosphorus content in the soil is to provide natural phosphate fertilizer and Azolla inoculum. This study was conducted to determine the proper dose of Azolla inoculum and rock phosphate to increase the availability of phosphate and increase the yield of rice plants on land Alfisol. This study uses the two-factor factorial CRD comparative treatment of manure and fertilizer N, P, K. Analysis of the observed data using analysis of variance at 5% level and if there is a significant difference effect followed by DMRT 5% level to compare between treatments. The results showed that treatment of Azolla inoculum and phosphate can increase the availability of phosphate in the Alfisol soil and can increase rice yield. On the parameters available P showed the highest results in the treatment of Azolla 2.5 tons / ha without natural phosphate and Azolla 5 tons / ha of natural phosphate 350 kg / ha which is 10.81 ppm. In addition, administration of Azolla inoculum and phosphate levels give rise to CEC, organic matter, total N in the soil and soil pH.

Abstract

Abstract

Planting drought-resistance plants in terms of agronomy, such as induction of plant tolerance using calcium is assumed to be able to solve the climate anomaly problem. Calcium is known as an element that plays an essential role in determining the response of plant resistance to drought through biochemical activity. This study aimed to determine the role of calcium in changing photosynthesis activity in order to increase the resistance to drought stress. The treatment was arranged in factorial of 3 x 4 in a split plot Randomized Complete Block Design replicated three times. The first factor was the dose of calcium application consisted of 0 (control/without calcium), 0.04, 0.08 and 0.12 g. The second factor was the intensity of drought stress, which referred to the Fraction of Transpirable Soil Water method consisted of 1 (control/field capacity), 0.35 (moderate drought) and 0.15 (severe drought). The measurement data of stomatal aperture, Abscisic Acid (ABA) content, chlorophyll content, carotenoid content, proline content, nitrate reductase activity and photosynthesis rate that fulfill the assumption of homogeneity and normality were analyzed using variance at 95% accuracy and continued using DMRT. Moreover, regression analysis were determined of relationship between the treatment and parameters. The results revealed that drought resulted in a decline in leaf water potential and stomatal aperture. The effects of calcium on chlorophyll and carotenoid under drought stress could not be explained in this study. However, the application of calcium has a significant effect on decreased ABA, increased proline and nitrate reductase activity resulting in an increase in the photosynthetic rate of oil palm seeds in drought stress.
