Abstract

Klinik XYS is a company that provides health care services. This health care services include medical care and treatment services. In it’s function as a medical services provider, Klinik XYZ provides a pharmacy services. These services have an important role for the clinic because almost all of health services use pharmaceuticals. In the pharmaceutical activities, this company is still having some problem related to inventory management. From the initial observation,it is found that several types of drugs excess the stock which affect the expiration. Further, several types of drugs are out of stock which may result in reduction of patient services. Based on further observation the excess and the emptiness of drugs caused by company’s inability to control and plan the inventory. Therefore, this study proposes an EOQ method to plan and control the inventory in order to optimize the drug supply

Abstract

Most of the workers work without pay attention to their body posture. This is caused by lack ofknowledge and awareness about the importance of education. As result, health problem occurs among the workers that might causes injuries. Reba is one of the method that has been used to score/inspect body posture related to health problems among the workers. There are some steps to calculate Reba Score such as shooting stage, stage of determining the angles of worker posture, weight determination, and data processing Reba .Processing stage takes a long time because the user should see a table reference in calculating REBA score. Therefore we need a tool to calculate the Reba score. Designing tools to facilitate calculation REBA scores made on Android-based HP. As a result, when calculating scores Reba with the tools to save time 62% of the manual count

Abstract

The research is aim to design the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) using Performance Prism Method with a case study of a batiks production house namely Batik Putra Bengawan. The research might assist the Batik house to translate the stakeholders’ satisfactions and contributions into organization objectives, strategies, business processes and capabilities. The level of achievement in each factor could be indicated through several performance indicators (PI). Then the importances of the stakeholders’ concern, organization objectives and the PI are measured using a concept that could accommodate a linkage among them namely the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). By doing so, the KPI might be set based on the ten most importance PI such that the performance improvement could be done effectively. This PI design indicates the 25 PI spread over 12 objectives, 23 strategies, 19 business processes, 19 capabilities and includes six stakeholders. The importances wighted using AHP shows that the stakeholder employee has the highest importance and the community gets lowest importance level. The ten most importance PI are choosen as the KPI of the Batik Putra Bengawan. These are the employee productivity, the order fulfillment, the net profit margin, the absentism, number of loyal customers, the bonus receivers among employees, the ratio of new customers, the feedback periods, the consumers’ satisfaction index and the ratio of defect products.

Abstract

PT. Kirana Semesta Panganis a company engaged in the field of food processing. The industry isproducing a wide range of food products such as meatballs, spicy meatballs and sauce seasoning. From the initial identification, the existing conditions of production layout does not fit the flow of the production process, thus causing the material handling is not optimal. The purpose of this research is to improve the plant layout to minimize the cost of material handling using Systematic Layout Planning (SLP). This research is obtained 3 alternatives layout that is able to minimize the cost of material handling by 24,15-36,41%. With this result, the company can choose the layout that fits the production process.

Abstract

Multi Media Training Centre Yogyakarta (MMTC) is one of the education institution which have some resource which must be managed, among others are peralatan studio and sarana penunjang. Peralatan studio and sarana penunjang are loaned for the praktik of student and rented for the eksternal of MMTC. Therefore, system which is integrated are needed to yield the presentation of information and good data management. This Journal was analized the system to know requirement of system, then designed the system to design the inventories information system which required by a system. Information system design were using object oriented approach and use UML covering to identify the actor, making business process model using activity diagram, making use case diagram, making sequence diagram and identify the class. At phase of application design, were designed of database and interface. After design the database and interface, hence were made a program code by paying attention of use case diagram and interaction diagram which have been specified previously in the object oriented model from designed system. From result of design of inventories information system has got the inputs which is form for login, inventories data, rent expenses data, location data, merk data, lender data, condition data, unit data, maintenance schedule, maintenance action, searching lender data, searching inventories data, loaning transaction, rent transaction, return transaction, and input of loaning report. And the outputs are maintenance early warning, surat order, list of inventories report, list of lender report and list of loaning report. From the result of validation to function in application obtained that the function are valid and work well.

Abstract

Social media is not only a social network that facilitates social interaction, but social media becomes an effective medium used by consumers and companies. Consumers use social media to find products information, while companies use social media to communicate with their customers. Social media becomes a powerful tool for companies to reach their customers and create sales. Social media allows SMEs to compete with large companies by increasing brand awareness of their products. Many new SMEs have emerged using social media, but the use of social media is not optimal. Its because SME lack of understanding of how social media is used in an organization. Therefore, research is conducted to investigate the potential use of social media on SMEs. Qualitative method is used as data collection method by conducting interview to 15 SMEs. Qualitative data then convert to affinity diagram. Based on the affinity diagram, it can be known how SMEs use social media. The results showed that most SMEs only use social media as promotion and sales tool. Some SMEs do not manage social media properly, such as inconsistencies in updating content of social media. A few SMEs use social media as an effective marketing tool such as profiling potential customers, measuring the impact of promotion and maintaining long-term customers relationships

Abstract

Forecasting is one of the methods required by a company to plan the demand of raw materials in the future, in order to avoid the emergence of various problems such as stock out. However, not all forecasting methods can be used to forecast demand in the short term a specially a condition where the company only has a few historical data. Grey method is a forecasting method which can be used to predict the short-term demand. The purpose of this study is to determine how well the Grey method used to predict the demand of alternative energy and compared with other forecasting methods. Mean Squared Error (MSE) is used as a measure of the goodness of the method. The result of the study indicates that the Grey Forecasting Methods MSE value that is smaller than other time series forecasting methods.

Abstract

Printpro is printing industry. Printpro is located at Kauman, Surakarta. Printpro produces some products such as invitation cards, calenders, and hardcovers. It makes every costomers in Printpro are new costomers. The new customers’ address which is never known before makes the shipping process become a problem because the sender should find the shortest route to decrees the fuel cost. The purpose of this paper is to decide the shortest route to make the shipping process from Karanganyar to Sukoharjo easier. The decission in finding the shortest route used Shortest Route Problem approach with Unsy methode. The sortest way to get to Karanganyar was 16,6 km and to Sukoharjo was 16,2 km. With using this shortest route method for the shipping to Karanganyar dan Sukoharjo is done in September 2015 and known that the different cost of the transportation was Rp 13.560,00. It means that the transportation cost can be minimized by deciding some route.

Abstract

SBPPK (sistem berbasis pengetahuan untuk pengendalian kualitas) is a knowledge based system which using human knowlwdge that being planted in computer to help solving problem that needs special skill or expertise. This system can be used by anyone whose not an expert to increase their skill in specivic domain problem solving.SBPPK is designed by integrating quality control function that consist of X-R chart, NP chart, process capability, pareto diagram and also the ability to analyze the output. By using this system manufacturing statistical quality control application will take shorter time.

Abstract

This research aim to develop an improvement plan of GTR 2 pump production process at CV. Guntur Malang by incorporating Lean Six Sigma approach. Following DMAIC steps (Define-Measure-Analyse- Improve-Control), at Measure stage shows that the most affecting waste is waiting and defect . Next at Improve stage using 5 W – 1 H method resulted on improvement plan consist of (a) applying statistical based quality control system by developing control chart during GTR 2 pump test process, (b) additional training to operator, review and correct work instruction, (c) relocate material warehouse from Research and Development area and material stock pile rearrangement, and (d) applying coolent to material before drilling process.
