Abstract

PT XYZ is a distributor company that moves in the heavy equipment sector. One of KPIs that is used to evaluate the company’s operations is On Time In Full (OTIF). On the other side, PT XYZ is monitoring the readiness of spare parts in all branches on a daily basis. The objective of this research is to find out if there is a correlation between spare parts readiness and OTIF performance, to identify to what extent the readiness of parts can affect OTIF performance, and to provide a solid understanding basis for companies to make strategic decisions related to improve company processes and achieve optimal OTIF performances. The method that will be performed in this article is Pearson correlation, by using historical data from the 5 branches (Jakarta, Medan, Banjarmasin, Ujung Pandang, and Sorong). From the research, it is known that the correlation values in the 5 branches are, by order, 50%, 49%, 55%, 56%, 58% in which all of them are categorized as “moderate positive”, which means between parts readiness and OTIF performance in the company is correlated, but it can also be affected by other factors such as lead time agreement, strategic inventory management, solid cooperation between company branches, and a good relationship between company and the principal.

Abstract

Waste is a serious environmental issue both in Indonesia and globally, with negative impacts on the environment and health. Effective waste management, from TPS3R to households, is crucial in reducing its impact. In Kudus Regency, TPS3R implements the 3R concept before sending residual waste to TPA Tanjungrejo. Despite generating 31,855.73 tons of waste annually, only a small portion can be managed due to inadequate processing technology. Developing a waste shredder machine can enhance processing efficiency. This machine can shred various types of waste into compost or valuable raw materials. The research aims to design an ergonomic waste shredder machine for TPS3R Kudus using Quality Function Deployment (QFD), integrating customer preferences into technical design. Among 13 primary attributes, multifunctionality in shredding receives high priority with an importance rating (IR) of 4.6, while waste washing facility has the lowest IR at 4. Benchmarking against competitor products shows superiority in customer satisfaction for the designed machine. Improvement priorities in the House of Quality (HoQ) include machine frame at 10% and security sensor at 6%. The waste shredder machine is designed using QFD method, focusing on 13 main attributes with design dimensions based on anthropometric data: height 106 cm, width 78 cm, length 170 cm, and overall height 135 cm, ensuring comfortable and efficient use for operators.

Abstract

The trend of drinking coffee at coffee shops is becoming increasingly popular in Indonesia, especially in Semarang, where there are now numerous coffee shops. With so many options available, consumers often face difficulty choosing a café, while coffee shop owners want to understand consumer preferences regarding aspects such as beverage products, affordable pricing, café ambiance, service quality, strategic location, and comprehensive facilities. This study aims to identify the ranking of consumer preferences for the combination and levels of attributes when choosing a café in Semarang. The study uses conjoint analysis, involving 96 respondents who have visited cafés in Semarang. Data were collected using purposive sampling. The study focuses on six attributes: product, price, café ambiance, service, location, and facilities, each with three levels. The results indicate the preferred combination and levels of attributes for consumers, which include: a price range of Rp. 10,000 – Rp. 15,000, a semi-outdoor café ambiance, visually appealing menu items, wifi facilities, a location close to residents, and very fast service.

Abstract

Comfort is a crucial factor in supporting the intended use of a space, including library spaces. Some previous studies have successfully examined the comfort of library spaces. However, there is still a lack of research that simultaneously examines the aspects of visual comfort, thermal comfort, and energy conservation. This study aims to evaluate the comfort of library space, including lighting, air conditioning, and energy conservation aspects, with a case study conducted in the library of Politeknik ATMI Surakarta. The research stages include data collection and calculations, followed by result analysis. Lighting calculations use the Lumen method, while cooling load calculations utilize the Cooling Load Temperature Difference method. Result analysis is carried out through a comparison between observation results and calculations, referring to several applicable standards. The research findings indicate that the lighting level in the library space needs improvement through the addition of lights and the even distribution of lighting installations. Another alternative solution is the replacement of lights with LED types that are more energy-efficient. The installed air conditioning unit in the room is in line with the cooling load requirements. However, it is recommended to replace the Window-type air conditioning unit with a Split Wall type and to exchange their locations.

Abstract

Abstract

The problem that occurs in the online group of Gen-Q Educational Product Distribution (EPD-R), namely the lack of qualified EPC which causes organizational performance in the EPD-R online group is less than optimal. The purpose of this study is to know whether the style of leadership and work environment affects the performance of the team in the EPD-R online group. The method used is SEM with the Tools Partial Least Square (pls). Partial Least Square (pls) is a multivariate statistical analysis technique by predicting the effect of variables X to Y variables and explaining theoretical relationships between the two variables. The results showed that the influence of leadership style variables on team performance was proven significant with a value of p-value 0.05 and the working environment variable on the team's performance did not have a significant effect because of the value of p-value 0.05. The coefficiency value of the leadership style variable on the performance of the team has a positive value. Where, when leadership style increases, team performance will also increase. While the coefficient value of the work environment variable on the performance of the team has a positive value.
