Abstract

The background of the designing of Jakarta Integrated Urban Farm is the lack of Jakarta’s vegetables and fruit productivity which is caused by the decreasing of it’s farm field. On the other hand, farming technology has improved significantly to afford a farming activities in a small urban area. Beside those, Jakarta as one of the largest metropolitan area in South East Asia also suffers from the environment damage as the effect of global warming that had already spread worldwide. Architecture and the industries that directly involved are one of several that causes it. Green Architecture as one of architecture’s discipline can be applied  to minimize the damage of a building to the environment. The purpose of this designing process is a design of an integrated urban farm that can integrate among cultivation, production, research, and marketing activity, also contribute to the healing of the environment by apllied Green Architecture’s principles. The design issue is how to integrate cultivation, production, research, and marketing activity on an urban farm building that applies Green Architecture’s principle. The method that used is architecture designing method which consist of several stages. The conclusion is a design of an urban farm that integrate cultivation, production, research, and marketing activity, also contribute to the Jakarta’s environment health by apllying energy conservation, land conservation, and water conservation. Keywords: Cultivation, Green Architecture, Jakarta, Marketing, Production, Research, Urban Farm,

Abstract

Indonesia has a huge diversity of marine biota but there is degradation based on IUCN Red List. In this case, the preservation of marine biota is necessary. Besides that, Yogyakarta has a big potential to develop the maritime tourism especially in Parangtritis Beach. However, the location is susceptive with the external interferences like earthquake, windstorm, and tsunami. Therefore, it is necessary to build oceanarium which can protect the marine biota with three functions; recreation, education, and preservation. Furthermore, the design of oceanarium uses the resilient architecture approach that is adaptive towards the external interferences (earthquake, windstorm, and tsunami). The method which is used is descriptive qualitative with case study of resilient architecture literature, physical condition of site and government regulation. The application of resilient architecture is applied to five aspects of design; site (evacuation access, minimum height, and assembly point), form and mass (modification and circle application), building appereance (material that has durability), structural systems (construction system that withstands earthquake and tsunami). The analysis process produces an oceanarium design that accommodates marine biota and adaptive towards the external interferences (earthquake, windstorm, and tsunami).

Abstract

Bus terminal and railway station’s planning and designing in Depok motivated by the government's plan in realizing an integrated transportation in this city. The need of bus terminal and train station’s integration is to easily facilitate the movement and displacement modes for the user of transportation mode (commuter) especially in Depok City. Design issues found is that how can the circulatory sistem be able to facilitate the movement and displacement modes for commuters, that are efficient, swift, and safe, also accommodated its building system. The design method used the concept of wayfinding. The application of wayfinding concept is able to resolve the design issues such as the design of circulatory sistem, which are efficient, swift, and safe, also accommodated its building system. In the wayfinding concept, users are the main concern, specifically on the movement and displacement towards a mode. According to the wayfinding concept, the problem solving is that the users make and execute the decision, also know and understand their environment. It influences the design of wayfinding with circulation planning and space layout, also the information design, in order to reach the success of wayfinding design which are efficient, swift, and safe, and accommodated its building system.

Abstract

Abstract: Elderly building residential and care are a building that can accommodate the activities and needs of physical, psychological and spiritual for the elderly in Bogor Regency. Number of phenomena related to the demands of the existence of a welfare facility for the elderly in Bogor Regency, increasing the urgency of the sustainability of this building. The existence of elderly residential and care will strengthen the potential of Bogor Regency as the development of residential areas in Jakarta. Design problems that arise are how to design residential buildings and services for the elderly according to the physical and psychological condition of the elderly. Theory of behaviour in architectural design is used as emphasis to produce a comfortable and secure facility for the elderly. Utilizing open space or communal space with applying the principles of social space and theories of sociopetal space.  Applying the technical requirements of accessibility according to the physical condition of the elderly. Emphasis in the architectural behaviour expressed through the pre - design process is further transformed into the design to produce a physical building. Keywords: Behaviour, Elderly, Residential and Care, Bogor Regency
