Abstract

Abstrak Hijauan pakan ternak terdiri dari berbagai macam jenis, namun sebagai pakan ruminan hijauan pakan ternak dari keluarga Poaceae dengan genus Pennisetum adalah pakan yang paling populer digunakan saat ini, hal ini karena produksinya yang cukup tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan hijauan pakan lainnya. Hijauan pakan dari genus Pennisetum biasa disebut rumput gajah atau rumput napier memiliki banyak jenis, diantara jenis-jenisnya yang memiliki potensi produksi dan kandungan nutrien yang baik adalah rumput gajah mini (Pennissetum Purpureum cv Mott), rumput pakchong (Pennisetum Purpureum cv Thailand), rumput gajah Biograss (Pennissetum purpureum) hasil pemuliaan invitro yang dilakukan oleh Balai Besar Bioteknologi dan Sumberdaya Genetik Pertanian Balitbangtan, dan Red Napier (Pennissetum purpureum cv Purple). Rumput-rumput tersebut memiliki kandungan nutrien yang sangat memadai untuk dijadikan pakan ternak. Rumput odot mempunyai kandungan protein kasar hingga 13,94%; sedangkan kandungan protein kasar rumput pakchong, Biograss, dan red napier masing-masing dapat mencapai hingga 13,18; 17,95; dan 17,07%. Kandungan nutrien didukung dengan produktifitas yang tinggi, dimana produksi rumput odot, rumput pakchong, Biograss, dan red napier masing-masing dapat mencapai 55,90 ton BK/ha/tahun; 87,00 ton/ha/tahun; 6,88 ton segar/ha/panen; 59,80 ton BK/ha/tahunKata kunci: rumput gajah mini, rumput pakchong, rumput Biograss, rumput red napier AbstractForage for livestock consists of various types, but as ruminant feed, forage from the Poaceae family with the genus Pennisetum is the most popular feed used today, because it has a high production when compared to other forages. Forages from the genus Pennisetum, commonly called elephant grass or napier grass, have many types, among the species that have potential production and good nutrient  they are dwarf napier Pennissetum purpureum cv Mott, napier pakchong (Pennisetum Purpureum cv Thailand), napier Biograss (Pennissetum purpureum) the result of in vitro breeding conducted by Balai Besar Bioteknologi dan Sumberdaya Genetik Pertanian Balitbangtan, and Red Napier (Pennissetum purpureum cv Purple). These grasses have very adequate nutritional content to be used as animal feed. Pennissetum purpureum cv Mott has a crude protein content of up to 13.94%; while the crude protein content of napier pakchong, napier Biograss, and red napier each can reach up to 13.18; 17.95; and 17.07%. Abstract

Pellet in the catfish can replaceable with fermented duck manure. The effect of substitute pellet feed juvenile catfish with fermented duck manure was investigated. Fermentation of duck manure with traditional food starter. Traditional food starter is tape yeast containing of genus Aspergilius, Saccharomyces, Candida, Hansenulla, dan bakteri Acetobacter. Catfish diets studies with 5% pellet/fish/day (W/W/day). Four treatment replacement in the total weight diets was substitute by fermented duck manure 45% (A), 30% (B), 15% (C) and 0% (D) levels formulated and feed to catfish juvenile (weight 2,75±0,05 g) for 30 day on controlled aquaria. Results from studies found that the best diet formulation can provide catfish juvenile growth response was diet C and D. Duck manure can reaplace feed juvenile catfish with duck manure fermentation until 15% from catfish diets.Key words: fermented duck manure, substitute pellet, catfish juvenile growth

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tinggkat pengunaan fitobiotik nanoendkapsulasi minyak buah merah terhadap presentase karkas dan lemak Adominal, dan meningkatkan pengetahuan peternak tentang pengaruh pemberian fitobiotik nanoenkapsulasi minyak buah merah yang diberikan pada rasum ayam broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) menggunakan 36 ekor DOC (Day Old Chick) broiler terbagi menjadi 3 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan yaitu: P0 = air minum tanpa aditif (kontrol), P1 = air minum + 2,5% nanoenkapsulasi bioaktif minyak buah merah, P2 = air minum + 5% nanoenkapsulasi bioaktif minyak buah merah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan fitobiotik nanoenkapsulasi minyak buah merah dalam air minum tidak berpengaruh nyata terhada presentase karkas dan lemak abdominal, untuk presentase karkas ayam broiler pada P1 lebih tinggi dari pada P0 dan P2

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan bungkil kedelai dan bungkil kelapa dalam ransum berbasis indeks sinkronisasi energi dan protein (E-P) terhadap sintesis protein mikroba (SPM) rumen sapi perah. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode in vitro, menggunakan rancangan anak lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial (2x3). Sebagai faktor A yaitu bungkil kedelai dan bungkil kelapa, sedangkan faktor B yaitu indeks sinkronisasi E-P (0,5 ; 0,6 dan 0,7). Dengan demikian, terdapat 6 macam perlakuan dan setiap perlakuan diulang 4 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat interaksi yang nyata (P0,05) antara penggunaan bungkil kedelai dan bungkil kelapa dengan indeks sinkronisasi E-P terhadap produksi ammonia (NH3). Kemudian, tidak terdapat interaksi antara penggunaan bungkil kedelai dan bungkil kelapa dengan indeks sinkronisasi E-P terhadap SPM, akan tetapi pengaturan indeks sinkronisasi E-P berpengaruh sangat nyata (P0,01) terhadap SPM. Selain itu, indeks sinkronisasi E-P yang terbaik yaitu pada level atau taraf 0,7. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam penyusunan ransum sapi perah yang didasarkan pada peningkatan SPM dapat digunakan bungkil kedelai atau bungkil kelapa (keduanya) dengan indeks sinkronisasi E-P 0,7.Kata kunci : Indeks sinkronisasi energi dan protein, ammonia, NH3, sintesis protein mikroba

Abstract

Indicators of milk quality commonly used by the Milk Processing Industry (MPI) is the milk density (MD). Some factors that influence the milk density is milk protein in the form of casein and milk temperatures. This study aims to examine the correlation between protein content and milk temperature to milk density. The material used was 90 lactating FH cows in the II - III of lactation period and 2 – 3 of lactation months. The analysis used is simple linear correlation regression. The results showed that the increase in protein content caused an increase in the milk density by 73.48%. The decreased in temperature caused an increase in the milk density by 5.25%. Protein content and milk temperature to milk density had a significants correlation value (P 0.01). The overall calculation shows that there is a relationship between the protein content and milk temperature to milk density. Protein content with milk density, shows a very strong positive correlation. The milk temperature and the milk density shows a very strong negative correlation. The conclusion is that there is a positive relationship between protein content to milk density, and a negative relationship between milk temperature to milk density. The higher the protein content, the higher the milk density. The lower the milk temperature, the higher the milk density value. Keyword : milk, protein, temperature, density

Abstract

The digestive tract is the main key to an animal's health which manifests livestock productivity. Healthy animals produce optimal livestock productivity. The purpose of this study was to determine egg production from a combination of turmeric and garlic against Salmonella enteritidis infection or commonly referred to as Salmonellosis disease. The method of preparing turmeric and garlic is done by giving heat treatment at a temperature of ± 70° C, then given by mashing. The results showed that after infection with Salmonella enteritidis, abnormal egg-laying occurred, namely eggs are very small than normal. The productivity of magelang ducks infected by Salmonella enteritidis and supplemented with black garlic and turmeric (P2) can pursue control treatment (P0) and treatment without infection plus black garlic and turmeric supplementation (P1). Whilst, egg weight from treatment P1 was heavier than P0 and P2 after infection. It can be concluded that the addition of black garlic and turmeric can improve both egg productivity and egg weight. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan potensi pengembangan sapi potong, memetakan sebaran potensi lumbung pakan, dan mengkaji potensi pakan dapat digunakan untuk menghitung kapasitas daya tampung ternak perkecamatan di Kabupaten Magelang. Ruang lingkup ini meliputi wilayah Kabupaten Magelang. Metode yang digunakan menggunakan analisis laju pertumbuhan populasi, analisis potensi pakan, analisis tampung wilayah, dan analisis komoditas basis. Variabel yang diukur pada penelitian ini yaitu kecamatan potensi pengembangan sapi potong, kecamatan sebaran potensi pusat atau penyimpan pakan, dan kecamatan sebaran potensi pengembangan sapi potong dan lumbung pakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecamatan yang mempunyai potensi pengembangan sapi potong terdapat pada 9 kecamatan. Kecamatan dengan potensi lokasi pusat pakan sapi potong terdapat pada 11 Kecamatan. Wilayah prioritas satu meliputi 10 wilayah, wilayah prioritas dua meliputi 8 wilayah, dan wilayah prioritas tiga meliputi 3 wilayah.

Abstract

               The content of AFB1 in feed with low levels and spend a long time, will cause primary damage or primary liver carcinoma. This study aims to reduce the toxicity of AFB1 with amino acid methionine-cystine supplementation in broiler chicken feed. This study used a 3 × 3 factorial design with methionine-cystine amino acid levels (M + C: 75, 100 and 125%) and AFB1 levels (0, 200, and 400 ppb). The variables collected were liver physiology, liver histopathology, SGPT levels, and SGOT levels. Observations of liver physiology showed that feed containing aflatoxin without methionine-cystine amino acid had a paler yellowish color (T4, T7 and T8). Pathological examination resulted that aflatoxicosis will attack the liver. Transition amino acid cystines in chicken feed contaminated with AFB1 did not occur in blood SGPT levels. Blood SGOT levels were highest at 21 days of age, namely T2 (M + C 100%) and T3 (M + C 125%) at AFB1 0 ppb which showed excess liver damage. The administration of methionine-cystine amino acids of 75, 100 and 125% in chicken feed contaminated with AFB1 0, 200 and 400 ppb consumed by broilers carries a risk of physiological and pathological damage to chicken liver.

Abstract

Salah satu itik lokal yang memiliki kemampuan produksi telur yang tinggi yaitu Itik Magelang dengan ciri khas kalung putih di lehernya dengan warna bulu pada dada, punggung, dan paha didominasi oleh warna cokelat tua dan muda. Penentuan kualitas telur yang baik dapat dibedakan melalui dua hal yaitu kualitas internal dan eksternal. Metode penentuan kualitas eksternal telur dapat dilakukan dengan mengukur berbagai parameter quantitative eksternal kualitas telur antara lain berat telur, panjang telur, lebar telur, keliling panjang, keliling lebar, dan volume telur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengobservasi parameter eksternal telur itik Magelang yang berada di Kabupaten Magelang. Hasil penelitian terkait parameter eksternal kualitas telur Itik Magelang diperoleh rata-rata dan standar deviasi dari berat telur, panjang telur, lebar telur, keliling panjang, keliling  lebar, dan volume telur secara berturut-turut adalah 66,78 ± 5,30 gram, 5,72± 0,27 cm, 4,57± 0,16 cm, 16,45 ± 0,62 cm, 14,71 ± 0,55 cm, dan 60,95 ± 5,56 ml.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengkaji pengaruh bahan penyalut maltodekstrin yang digunakan pada mikroenkapsulasi probiotik bakteri asam laktat (BAL) dengan metode spray drying terhadap viabilitas sel BAL selama penyimpanan dan pengeringan. Probiotik BAL yang digunakan adalah Streptococcus thermophilus (Kp-2), Lactobacillus murinus (Ar-3), Pediococcus acidilactici (Kd-6). Probiotik disimpan pada temperatur ruang semalam 6 minggu dalam kondisi aerobik. Pengujian viabilitas mikrokapsul probiotik BAL dilakukan setiap minggu. Viabilitas mikrokapsul probiotik memiliki kemampuan hidup 60 hingga 80% pasca spray drying dan menunjukkan kecenderungan yang semakin menurun pada viabilitas selama penyimpanan. Kata kunci: Mikroenkapsulasi, maltodekstrin, probiotik unggas, viabilitas, spray drying
