Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan suatu unsur yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari manusia dan sangat besar artinya bagi kemajuan bangsa dan Negara, karena pendidikan merupakan sarana dan wahana yang sangat baik dalam pembinaan sumberdaya manusia (SDM), sehingga pola pendidikan perlu mendapatkan perhatian, penanganan dan prioritas yang baik dari pemerintah. Pengembangan manusia sangat dibutuhkan, salah satunya melalui proses penyadaran yang berusaha menggali dan mengembangkan potensi diri lewat metode dan model pembelajaran yang kreatif bahkan penggunaan media itu sendiri turut menunjang sekali terhadap keberhasilan belajar siswa. Salah satu model dan juga media yang dirasa dapat mengembangkan hal tersebut adalah Model Student Fasilitator and Explaining (SFAE) melalui Media Peta Konsep. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah menjelaskan meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif IPA kelas VIII pada materi Sistem Ekskresi di MTs.NU Hasyim Asy’ari Tawangsari dengan menerapkan Model Student Fasilitator and Explaining (SFAE) menggunakan Media Peta Konsep. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan dua siklus dengan masing-masing siklus mempunyai 4 tahap. Tahap-tahap ini berupa siklus spiral yang meliputi kegiatan 1) perencanaan, 2) pemberian tindakan, 3) observasi, dan 4) refleksi. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan adalah siswa MTs.NU Hasyim Asy’ari Tawangsari Kelas VII sebanyak 34 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Model Student Fasilitator and Explaining (SFAE) melalui Media Peta Konsep dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa MTs.NU Hasyim Asy’ari Tawangsari Kelas VII. Abstract

Pesticides are chemicals we use in almost everyday chorus. In addition to their beneficial uses, the active ingredient of pesticides is also a source of toxins that harm human health. Pesticide poisoning effect on the work of organs and organ systems. Intake of pesticide poisonings can occur consciously or unconsciously through the skin, respiratory and orally. Symptoms of pesticide poisoning is characterized by a decrease in the level of health condition from mild to severe, even so an accurate diagnosis requires a definite medical process.. Abstract

This study aims to produce problem based learning kits which are valid, and effective to improve the science process skills. This study was a research and development (R&D). The development was made by adapting the development model by Borg and Gall consisting of seven development stages: (1) preliminary investigation, (2) planning, (3) preliminary product arrangement,(4) product validation (5) small group tryout, (6) field tryout, and (7) dissemination. The tryout subjects in this study were 40 students. The details of those students were 11 students for small group tryout, 28 students as the experimental group and the other 29 students as the control group. The experimental group was taught using problem based learning kits, while the control group using learning kits that already exist. The data were collected through product validation sheets, classroom observation sheets, students questionnaires, science process skills test and science process skills observation sheets. The results show that the developed problem based learning kits are valid and effective to improve students science process skills. The study validation showed the kits are excellent, with an average score of 4.52. The tryout results shows that the kits at the level of practicality on small groups and field are very good showing that 87.90% learning process is well done on small groups , while on the field tryout is 97.22%. The kits are effective to improve science process skills based on the comparison of the experiment and control classes. Keywords: development, science process skills, PBL kits

Abstract

Indonesia has a wide variety of of moss plants. Approximately 1500-2000 types of true moss and liverworts are found in Indoensian territory. Moss are commonly found in humid habitats, in climatic conditions of tropical forests and waterfalls such as Kapas Biru Waterfall Pronojiwo Lumajang. This descriptive explorative study aimed to identify moss species found in Kapas Biru Waterfall Pronojiwo Lumajang. The sampling area was divided into 3 regions based on topography ie parking area, along the footpath heading towards the waterfall, and the area around the waterfall. The study was conducted using cruise method and plotting method. Several environmental factors such as temperature, air and soil humidity, soil pH, light intensity, wind velocity and elevation. The result showed that there are 13 species of mosses found belonging to 11 different families. Keywords: Biodiversity, Bryophyta, Kapas Biru Waterfall.

Abstract

Global competitions require human resources that have competitive advantages, including in the field of education. UIN biology education program has responded by developing ICT-based lecture system. The development of the most up-to-date courses is e-learning, which is one of the learning system which use communication and information technology. Learning object becomes very important part. Students become accustomed to utilize the various learning sources available online. On the other hand, the ability to develop teaching materials is one of the required skill as professional teachers. The research purpose was to obtain more information about the ability of students to develop ICT-based teaching materials. This research used descriptive qualitative method, the assessment of teaching materials developed by students done before and after the lecture. The subject of research was the 25 students who were enrolled in Vertebrata courses. The validity of the teaching materials assessed by experts using specific instrument, students respond data also collected using questionnaire.The results showed that the average value given by the expert validators was 83 that fall into good category. While the average response of students to teaching materials fall into moderate category. Teaching materials developed by students before and after the lecture also showed significant changes. Before the lecture, all teaching materials developed by students are still in the form of power point. After attending lectures, the types of teaching materials developed by the students were varied. Those consist of wordpress (24%), wix (20%), webnode (12%), prezi (12%), android (8%), macromedia 3D Presentation, Power Point Inspiring, and Website UIN respectively by 4%. Abstract

Kombucha is a fermented drink from nata kombucha starter which is symbiosis between Acetobacter sp. And Saccharomyces sp. Which were grown in medium of A. bilimbi. A. bilimbi kombucha produces various types of acids, enzymes, alcohol and vitamins in addition A. bilimbi fruit contain flavonoids, alkaloids, triterpene saponins, terpenoids, and essential oil. This study aimed to analyze the influence of A. bilimbi kombucha on growth of E. coli. This kombucha has an antibacterial activity on E. coli growth. E. coli is a diarrhea causing bacterium. Concentration of kombucha used were 25%; 27.5%; 30%; 32.5%, and 35%. Antibacterial test using a pour plate method. Analysize tested using one way ANOVA and followed by post hoc test LSD with 95% levelof confidence. This research showed that Averrhoa blimbi kombucha perform antibacterial activity against E. coli and at concentration of 35% kombucha buluh perform inhibition which different significally (p>0.05). Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw Plus. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini terdiri dari dua (2) siklus dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas VIIIA SMP Negeri 1 Sidayu yang terdiri dari 14 siswa dan 16 siswi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw Plus dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Dengan hasil yang didapatkan, motivasi sebesar 86 % sedangkan hasil belajar mencapai 87 %. Keywords: Motivasi, hasil belajar, jigsaw plus.

Abstract

Course Review Horay (CRH) learning model based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is a cooperative learning model that provides many questions to encourage active learning and critical thinking ability of students. Cards of CRH contain 9 or 16 or 25 columns to write down the students' answers. If they answer three questions correctly as vertical/horizontal/diagonally they would shout “horay”. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of CRH learning model based on PBL approach on the students’ critical thinking skill and learning outcome for the eleventh-grade science students of SMA Arjasa Jember. There were used control class and experimental class. The results showed that learning model of CRH based on PBL approach had increased the students’ critical thinking skill (p = 0.000) aswell as significantly increased the students’ learning outcome of cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Abstract

The disease of fish is the most common problems in fishery resources. Fish can get sickness due to several factors, including the existence of parasites, feed and environmental conditions that are less supportive of fish life. Tricodina sp. is an fish ectoparasite in freshwater and seawater, one of the freshwater fish that is often attacked is mujair (Oreochromis mossambicus). The purpose of research was to determine prevalence and degree of infections Tricodina sp. protozoa on mujair resourses. The research method is survey and random sampling. Location of sampling in ponds owned by farmers at Keramat Mengare Village, Bungah District, Gresik Regency. The result of research is prevalence and degree of infections Tricodina sp. is 91,87% and 54,81. Keywords: Prevalence, degree of infection, Trichodina sp., mujair (Oreochromis mossambicus).

Abstract

The high diversity of plant species makes the Kapas Biru Waterfall a suitable area of tourism, research and other related activities. The plant species in this area are mostly seed plants and shrub. The shrub is a tree-like plant but with shorter and smaller main stem. The woody stems alsobranching near the surface of the soil. The aim of this research was to find out the species of shrub plants in the area of Kapas Biru Waterfall. This descriptive explorative research was conducted to systematically, factually and accurately describe and interpret the data of shrub seed plants in the area of Kapas Biru Waterfall. The study was conducted from April to May 2017. The research design included the selection of research sites, sampling and drawing, and plant identification stages.Samples were collected using total explore sampling method. Research result showed that there are 562 shrub plants in Kapas Biru Waterfall. They consist of 19 species incorporated in 11 families. Those family are Asparagaceae, Rutaceae, Asteraceae, Euphorbiaceae, Oleaceae, Arecaceae, Verbenaceae, Rubiaceae, Melastomataceae, Solanaceae, and Araliaceae.
