Abstract

The purpose of this research is to formulate a model for the Strategy to Enhance Competitiveness and Sustainability of SMEs in Supporting Independence in East Java. The research method is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use 1) Data reduction, 2) Data display, 3) Data triangulation, 4) Data verification. The informant determination technique uses indepth interviews with key informants such as SME actors, relevant agency officials, representatives from East Java's SME Banks, and academics. The results of data analysis and literature review indicate that the Strategy to Enhance Competitiveness of SMEs in East Java focuses on the adoption of digital marketing (utilization of social media, marketplaces, and e-commerce), product and process innovation (development of unique and quality products, production efficiency), as well as strengthening partnerships and collaborations with various parties (government, financial institutions, large companies) to expand market access and resources. The strategy for enhancing the sustainability of MSMEs in East Java heavily relies on prudent financial management practices (cash flow management, access to affordable financing such as Prokesra and Dagulir), compliance with legal and certification requirements (PIRT, halal, BPOM), as well as the potential implementation of circular economy concepts for resource efficiency and waste reduction. The strategy supporting the independence of MSMEs in East Java focuses on a comprehensive empowerment program, including entrepreneurship training and intensive mentoring for capacity building, ease of access to capital, and facilitation of business matching and exhibitions/bazaars for network and market expansion. The active role of the government and supporting institutions is crucial in creating a conducive ecosystem. The relationship between competitiveness, sustainability, and independence of SMEs is synergistic and mutually reinforcing. Increasing competitiveness directly contributes to economic sustainability. Sustainability creates stability that allows SMEs to continue innovating and enhancing their competitiveness. Meanwhile, independence empowers SMEs to be proactive in achieving competitiveness and sustainability, with the ability to make strategic decisions and adapt to changes. Overall, SMEs in East Java have great potential to continue growing and contributing to the economy. However, sustained support through appropriate policies, relevant empowerment programs, and facilitation of access to essential resources will be key to realizing SMEs that are not only competitive and sustainable but also fully independent Keywords: Strategy for Increasing Competitiveness, Sustainability, Independence.

Abstract

Distribution in Islam is a fundamental concept that emphasizes economic justice, equitable welfare, and the prevention of wealth concentration among specific groups. This study aims to analyze the Islamic perspective on distribution by employing a literature review supported by Qur’anic and Prophetic foundations. The findings indicate that Islamic distribution encompasses two key dimensions: the distribution of goods and services through lawful market mechanisms, and the distribution of income through Sharī‘ah-based instruments such as zakat, infaq, sadaqah, gifts, and inheritance. Foundational principles including the prohibition of riba and gharar, the concept of ownership as a trust, and the obligation to uphold social justice play a crucial role in regulating the flow of wealth. Comparisons with capitalist and socialist systems reveal that the Islamic model provides a balanced structure that integrates individual freedom with social responsibility. Ethical guidelines demanding transparency, honesty, and spiritual orientation further strengthen the system’s effectiveness. Thus, the Islamic distribution framework offers significant contributions to developing just and applicable economic theories for contemporary economic challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Islamic Work Ethics, Islamic Work Motivation, and an Islamic Work Environment on Employee Performance at Bank Muamalat Serang Branch. The study used a quantitative approach, distributing questionnaires to employees as respondents, and multiple linear regression analysis was used to test the relationship between variables using SPSS 25. The results showed that the three variables: Islamic Work Ethics, Islamic Work Motivation, and an Islamic Work Environment, had a positive and significant effect, both partially and simultaneously, on employee performance. This finding confirms that the application of Islamic values ​​in the work culture can improve employee performance at Islamic financial institutions. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam penerapan akad muzara’ah dalam meningkatkan pengelolaan perkebunan kelapa sawit, meliputi pengelolaan, produktivitas, efisiensi, dan keberlanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari pemilik lahan dan penggarap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan di Kecamatan Air Napal ini kebanyakan pada umumnya dalam dalahma sudah sesuai dengan akad dan syarat-syarat tersebut sah walaupun hanya ada perjanjian lisan. Dan, untuk pembagian hasil sudah sesuai dengan akad muzara’ah. Adapun pembagiannya ialah 1/3, 2 bagian untuk pemilik lahan dan 1 bagian untuk penggarap. 2 bagian untuk pemilik karena dari lahan, bibit, perawatan kebun, dan semua alat-alat yang dibutuhkan oleh penggarap, semuanya sudah disediakan oleh pemilik lahan. Untuk pemilik lahan dan penggarap menggunakan prinsip tauhid dan prinsip keadilan. Prinsip keadilan untuk biaya-biaya seperti pupuk dan keperluan untuk lahan semuanya itu di bebankan kepada pemilik lahan, penggarap hanya menggelola saja, dan itu sudah sesuai dengan kesepakatan di awal dan sudah sesuai dengan akad muzara’ah jika pupuk itu di bebankan kepada pemilik lahan. Menurut akad muzara’ah adalah sah karena sudah memenuhi syarat dan rukun akad muzara’ah juga sudah sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip ekonomi islam yaitu pada prinsip tauhid, prinsip perwakilan dan prinsip keadilan.Kata kunci: Akad, Muzara’ah, bagi hasil, tauhid, keadila

Abstract

This study aims to measure the influence of religiosity, brand loyalty, halal label, BPOM label, and price on the purchase decision of Wardah halal cosmetic products. This research is a research study. The data type used is primary data sourced from a questionnaire. The study population consisted of residents of Pagar Dewa Village, with a sample of 97 respondents. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis with SPSS 25 software. The results of the study indicate that 1) Religiosity has a significant influence on the purchase decision of Wardah cosmetic products. (2) Brand Loyalty has a significant influence on the purchase decision of Wardah cosmetic products. (3) The Halal Label has a significant influence on the purchase decision of Wardah cosmetic products. (4) The BPOM label significantly influences purchasing decisions for Wardah cosmetic products. (5) Price significantly influences purchasing decisions for Wardah cosmetic products. Religiosity, brand loyalty, the halal label, the BPOM label, and price simultaneously have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions for Wardah halal cosmetic products.

Abstract

This analysis aims to evaluate the effectiveness of partnership asset management within Perum Perhutani Divre East Java using the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) framework. Public asset management plays a strategic role in enhancing operational efficiency and generating economic value, yet its implementation still faces challenges related to data accuracy, asset conditions, marketing limitations, and regulatory rigidity. The findings indicate that the optimization process begins with identifying and verifying underutilized assets, followed by offering them to potential partners and preparing cooperation agreements grounded in accountability and transparency. Monthly evaluations are conducted to monitor revenue realization, asset utilization, and partner compliance, although effectiveness remains constrained by informal marketing practices, variations in asset potential, and misalignment between revenue targets and actual field conditions. Through PDCA implementation, improvement efforts focus on strengthening asset information systems, enhancing cross-unit coordination, modernizing asset marketing strategies, and revising regulations to be more adaptive to partner needs. This analysis emphasizes that transparent governance, adequate human resource capacity, and continuous evaluation are essential elements in achieving productive and sustainable partnership asset management

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of lifestyle, price, and product quality on the purchase intention of secondhand clothing (thrifting) among the people of Bengkulu City from an Islamic economic perspective. This research employs a descriptive quatitative approach with data collected through questionnaires and processed using SPSS version 26. The population consists of Bengkulu City resident who have purchased secpndhand clothing at Panorama Market, with a sampel size of 100 respondentd. The data analysis tehniques include validity testing, reability testing, classical assumption test (normality, heteroscedascity, and multcollinearity tests) multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing (t-test, f-test, and R2 test). The result show that lifestyle has a significant effect on the intention to purchase secpndgand clothing, as indicated by a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) and a t-value of 27.786. the higher the purchase intention. Price also has a significant influence, with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) and a t-value of 24.003, indicating that affordable and reasonable prices increase consumers’ purchase interest. Furthermore, product quality significantly affects the purchase of secondhand goods, as shown by a significance value of 0,000 (<0,05) and a t-value of 22.798. this implies that the better the quality offered, the higher the consumers’ buying interest.

Abstract

This article examines the concept of the hermeneutic circle and its application in Islamic exegetical tradition, as well as its implications for contemporary Islamic legal reform. The hermeneutic circle, developed within Western hermeneutical philosophy, resonates with classical Islamic exegetical methodology that recognizes the dialectical relationship between text (al-nash), context (al-waqi'), and interpreter (al-mufassir). This study employs library research methods with a qualitative approach, and data are comprehensively analyzed using a descriptive-analytical approach by revealing how classical scholars who accepted and rejected the application of hermeneutical principles in their ijtihad debated, then analyzing these differences of opinion based on primary and secondary data sources. The findings indicate that the debate concerning hermeneutics in Islamic exegesis reflects the rich and complex dynamics of contemporary Islamic thought. Progressive groups view hermeneutics as a valuable opportunity to revitalize and refresh Islamic understanding in the modern era, while understanding of the hermeneutic circle can serve as an bridge for formulating Islamic legal reform methodologies that are responsive to changing times without losing textual authenticity. Practical implications include the reformulation of usul al-fiqh, reconstruction of maqasid al-shariah, and development of contextualist approaches in contemporary Islamic legal determination.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the Lia Jaya Crackers Home Industry in improving the welfare of the community of Pasar Pedati Village and to analyze it from the perspective of Islamic economics. Using a descriptive qualitative method through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, this research finds that the home industry plays an important role in providing employment opportunities for the community, particularly for women and residents affected by layoffs, thereby helping increase household income, fulfill basic needs, and improve overall quality of life. The home industry also contributes positively to social aspects by enhancing workers’ self-confidence, economic independence, and participation in productive activities, although several limitations remain, such as the absence of health insurance and formal labor protection. From the perspective of Islamic economics, the activities of the Lia Jaya Crackers Home Industry align with the principles of maslahah, justice, lawful work, and community empowerment, as it provides real benefits to society without contradicting Islamic values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh komisaris independen dan kepemilikan institusional terhadap kinerja perusahaan dengan menempatkan transformasi Industri 4.0 sebagai variabel mediasi. Berlandaskan teori keagenan, keberadaan komisaris independen dan peran pemegang saham institusional dipandang mampu memperkuat fungsi pengawasan, menekan biaya keagenan, serta meningkatkan kualitas pengambilan keputusan strategis. Transformasi Industri 4.0 merefleksikan perubahan terencana dalam proses bisnis, teknologi, dan tata kelola operasional melalui pemanfaatan sistem digital terintegrasi, Internet of Things, analitik data, otomatisasi cerdas, dan integrasi rantai pasok. Penelitian ini menggunakan data panel perusahaan manufaktur selama periode 2019–2023 dan dianalisis dengan regresi panel two-way fixed effects serta uji mediasi berbasis produk koefisien menggunakan metode bootstrap. Hasil empiris menunjukkan bahwa komisaris independen dan kepemilikan institusional berpengaruh positif terhadap tingkat transformasi Industri 4.0 dan kinerja perusahaan. Selain itu, transformasi Industri 4.0 berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja perusahaan dan terbukti memediasi secara parsial pengaruh komisaris independen dan kepemilikan institusional terhadap kinerja. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa peningkatan efektivitas tata kelola perusahaan akan lebih optimal apabila disinergikan dengan strategi transformasi Industri 4.0 yang terukur dan berorientasi pada penciptaan nilai jangka panjang.
