Abstract

The lack of self-regulated learning of a learner in a series of learning activities often hurts the achievement of their learning outcomes. It is necessary to provide a learning environment that supports an increase in one's self-regulated learning, which is through the application of blended learning. This study aims to look the effectiveness of the application of blended learning using the Moodle LMS in improving Polytechnic students’ self-regulated learning. This study applies a quantitative approach through the pre-experiment method and uses a One-Group Pretest-Posttest research design. This study compares the results of pretest and posttest on experimental class students after applying blended learning using the Moodle LMS. The research instrument analyzed was in the form of a non-test instrument which was arranged in a questionnaire. Statistical tests on research data were processed using SPSS 26 software. Wilcoxon nonparametric test results on questionnaire data gave results in the form of a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05 and the average N-gain value showed a value of 0.64. Through the results of statistical tests that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the application of learning with the blended learning model using the Moodle LMS has implications for increasing self-regulated learning for Polytechnic students with moderate effectiveness criteria.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Kurangnya kemandirian belajar atau self-regulated learning seorang pembelajar dalam serangkaian aktivitas pembelajaran seringkali memberikan dampak yang buruk pada pencapaian hasil belajar mereka. Penyediaan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung peningkatan self-regulated learning seseorang perlu dilakukan, salah satunya melalui penerapan blended learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat tingkat keefektifan penerapan Blended Learning melalui LMS Moodle dalam meningkatkan self-regulated learning mahasiswa di Politeknik. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metode Pre Eksperiment serta menggunakan desain penelitian One-Group­ Pretest-Posttest. Penelitian ini membandingkan hasil pretest dan posttest pada mahasiswa kelas eksperimen setelah diterapkan blended learning melalui LMS Moodle. Instrumen penelitian yang dianalisis berupa instrumen bentuk non tes yang disusun dalam sebuah kuisioner. Uji statistik terhadap data hasil penelitian diolah menggunakan software SPSS 26. Hasil uji nonparametric Wilcoxon terhadap data angket memberikan hasil berupa nilai signifikansi 0.00 < 0.05 dan rata-rata nilai N-gain menunjukkan nilai 0.64. Melalui hasil uji statistik yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran dengan model blended learning melalui LMS Moodle berimplikasi dalam peningkatan self-regulated learning mahasiswa Politeknik dengan kriteria efektifitas sedang.

Abstract

The studies on the worked-out examples teaching approach (WOETA) have been investigated globally and in South Africa, showing gains in learners' performance. This study reports on the Euclidean geometry short learning programme (EGSLP), which used worked-out examples teaching approach (WOETA) intervention to secondary mathematics teachers enrolled in one university campus in the Free State province. This study used one group pretest-posttest research design.65 participants completed the pre-test, participated in WOETA, and later completed the post-test. The WOETA engaged the participants in the Euclidean geometry six topics, straight-line geometry, classification of triangles, Pythagoras, similarity and congruency, properties of polygons, and measurement that helped them to acquire procedural and conceptual knowledge. The findings revealed that the WOETA improved the participants' performance in two topics, straight-line geometry and classification of triangles. In contrast, it failed in four topics Pythagoras, similarity and congruency, properties of polygons, and measurement. Cronbach alpha was used to calculate the reliability of the pre-test and was 0,52, while the post-test reliability was 0.30, and these values were deemed not acceptable and not reliable. The findings also revealed that the WOETA does not affect participants' Euclidean geometry performance.

Abstract

The activeness of students is important and fundamental to support the effectiveness of online mathematics learning. However, the reality shows that students often lack courage and enthusiastism in asking and answering questions, conveying understanding, and being less involved in doing assignments. Some of these indicate that students are less active in learning mathematics online. One of the efforts that teachers can make is through the application of various interactive media. Therefore, this paper aims to review and examine the implementation of various interactive media as an effort to stimulate the activeness of the students in online mathematics learning. Using descriptive qualitative research methods, it is evident that the implementation of various interactive media can enourage students to be active in online mathematics learning. The implementation of  various interactive media make students pay attention, so they can be encouraged to be actively involved in the learning process. Thus, students can be led to maximaze themselves in every opportunity to glorify God, including in the mathematics learning process. In the application of interactive media, teachers are advised to record every development of student responses for the improvement and development of interactive media.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Keaktifan siswa menjadi hal penting dan mendasar yang dapat menunjang keefektifan pembelajaran matematika secara daring. Namun, kenyataan menunjukkan bahwa siswa sering kurang berani dan antusias dalam bertanya, menjawab, menyampaikan pemahaman, serta kurang terlibat dalam mengerjakan tugas. Beberapa hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa siswa kurang aktif dalam pembelajaran matematika secara daring. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan guru dalam mendorong keaktifan siswa adalah melalui penerapan media interaktif yang bervariasi. Olehnya tulisan ini bertujuan meninjau dan mengkaji penerapan media interaktif sebagai upaya yang dapat menstimulus keaktifan siswa pada pembelajaran matematika secara daring. Melalui metode kualitatif deskriptif, diketahui bahwa penerapan media interaktif yang bervariasi dapat mendorong siswa menjadi aktif dalam pembelajaran matematika secara daring. Media interaktif yang bervariasi menarik perhatian siswa sehingga mendorong siswa terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, siswa dapat dituntun untuk memaksimalkan diri dalam setiap kesempatan untuk memuliakan Allah, termasuk dalam pembelajaran matematika. Dalam penerapan media interaktif, guru disarankan mencatat setiap perkembangan respon siswa guna perbaikan dan pengembangan media interaktif.

Abstract

The ability of mathematical representation is needed by students to communicate mathematical ideas. However, the student's representation ability is still not optimal, especially in geometry material. The purpose of this study is to describe the representational abilities of students of SMP NU Sunan Ampel in solving geometrical contextual problems. The study was conducted on 19 students at SMP NU Sunan Ampel Poncokusumo. Data was collected through tests and interviews. The indicators of representation ability used are visual representation, symbolic, and verbal. The results of the research are the level of student representation ability as much as 53% in the low category, as much as 42% in the medium category, and as much as 5% in the high category. Students with high representation ability can fulfill the indicators of visual, symbolic, and verbal representation well according to their abilities. Students with moderate representational abilities can meet the indicators of symbolic representation, but there are still errors in writing and calculations. Students with low representation ability have not reached the three indicators of representational ability well as a whole according to their abilities. It is hoped that the teacher can provide practice questions to students by requiring students to describe and write down the mathematical model in detail and completely. In addition, the teacher can also introduce various forms of flat shapes in contextual problems so that students can be trained to solve contextual problems related to flat shapes.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Kemampuan representasi matematika sangatlah dibutuhkan oleh siswa untuk mengkomunikasikan ide matematika. Namun, kemampuan representasi siswa masih belum optimal khususnya pada materi geometri. Tujuan penelitan ini mendeksripsikan kemampuan representasi siswa SMP NU Sunan Ampel dalam menyelesaikan masalah kontekstual geometri. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 19 siswa di SMP NU Sunan Ampel Poncokusumo. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes dan wawancara. Indikator kemampuan representasi yakni representasi visual, simbolik, dan verbal. Hasil penelitian yakni tingkat kemampuan representasi siswa sebanyak 53% pada kategori rendah, sebanyak 42% pada kategori sedang, dan sebanyak 5% pada kategori tinggi. Siswa kemampuan representasi tinggi dapat memenuhi indikator representasi visual, simbolik, dan verbal dengan baik sesuai kemampuannya. Siswa kemampuan representasi sedang dapat memenuhi indikator representasi simbolik, namun masih terdapat kesalahan penulisan dan perhitungan. Siswa kemampuan representasi rendah belum mencapai ketiga indikator kemampuan representasi dengan baik secara keseluruhan sesuai dengan kemampuannya. Harapannya guru dapat memberikan latihan soal kepada siswa dengan mewajibkan siswa menggambarkan dan menuliskan model matematikanya secara detail dan lengkap. Selain itu, guru juga dapat memperkenalkan berbagai bentuk bangun datar dalam masalah kontekstual agar siswa dapat terlatih menyelesaikan masalah kontekstual yang berkaitan dengan bangun datar.

Abstract

Transparency is an attitude of life that can be used as a role model for others.  The role of the teacher as a role model in the classroom can be implemented through ways of speaking and behaving with students. Therefore, to be a role model for students, a teacher must have good personality competencies. However, as the author experienced, Practice Field Experience Christian teachers are not yet capable of having good personality competencies. This is because they have not been able to control and manage emotions when faced with problems that occur in teaching online. In addition to explaining the personality competence of Christian teachers, the writing of this article aims to outline the efforts of the author, as a Christian teacher, in improving personality competencies to become a role model for students. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. This method is done by revealing facts, phenomena, variables, and circumstances that occur during the research. The results of the research are described based on real situations.  Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that to improve the personality competence of a Christian teacher, there needs to be an effort to deepen the personal relationship with God through understanding the Word of God. If a Christian teacher has improved personality competence by learning the Word of God, then a Christian teacher in practice will be a role model for students.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Keteladanan adalah sikap hidup yang dapat dijadikan panutan bagi orang lain. Peran guru sebagai seorang teladan di dalam kelas harus diimplementasikan melalui cara berbicara dan bersikap yang baik dengan siswa. Oleh karena itu, untuk menjadi teladan bagi siswa seorang guru harus memiliki kompetensi kepribadian yang baik. Pada kenyataannya, ketika Praktek Pengalaman Lapangan 2 penulis sebagai seorang guru Kristen belum cakap memiliki kompetensi kepribadian yang baik. Hal ini dikarenakan penulis sebagai seorang guru Kristen belum dapat mengontrol dan mengelola emosi ketika dihadapkan dengan suatu masalah yang terjadi dalam mengajar secara online. Selain menjelaskan kompetensi kepribadian guru Kristen, penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan upaya penulis sebagai seorang guru kristen dalam memperbaiki kompetensi kepribadian untuk menjadi teladan bagi murid. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode ini dilakukan dengan mengungkapkan fakta, fenomena, variabel dan keadaan yang terjadi saat penelitian berlangsung. Hasil penelitian kemudian dideskripsikan berdasarkan situasi nyata.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa untuk memperbaiki kompetensi kepribadian guru Kristen perlu adanya upaya memperdalam hubungan pribadi dengan Tuhan melalui pemahaman akan Firman Tuhan. Jika seorang guru Kristen sudah memperbaiki kompetensi kepribadian dengan belajar Firman Tuhan, maka seorang guru Kristen dalam prakteknya akan menjadi panutan bagi siswa.

Abstract

One of the benchmarks of individual quality is seen in numeracy literacy skills. The purpose of this study was to identify the numeracy literacy skills of grade 11 students at Warta Bakti Kefamenanu High School, Nusa Tenggara Timur, in solving numeracy literacy problems with the minimum competency assessment (MCA) instrument in integral and domain algebra. This research was descriptive qualitative. This research technique was carried out with a test in the form of MCA, identifying the variations of errors made, identifying them in the types of errors, and mapping them to numeracy literacy indicators. Instrument items were taken from previous research and modified and content validity was done. The result of data analysis shows that participants who had principal errors met the numeracy literacy indicators item 1 and item 2, participants who had operating errors met the numeracy literacy indicator item 1, and participants who had conceptual errors did not meet all numeracy literacy indicators.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Salah satu tolak ukur kualitas individu dilihat dari kemampuan literasi numerasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa SMA Kelas XI SMAS Warta Bakti Kefamenanu, Nusa Tenggara Timur dalam menyelesaikan masalah literasi numerasi model instrumen asesmen kompetensi minimum (AKM) pada domain aljabar topik integral. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tes berbentuk AKM, mengidentifikasi variasi kesalahan yang dilakukan, mengidentifikasinya ke dalam jenis/tipe kesalahan, dan memetakan pada indikator literasi numerasi. Untuk butir instrumen, diambil dari penelitian sebelumnya dan dimodifikasi kemudian dilakukan proses validitas isi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah partisipan yang memiliki kesalahan prinsip memenuhi indikator literasi numerasi butir 1 dan butir 2, partisipan yang memiliki kesalahan operasi memenuhi indikator literasi numerasi butir 1, dan partisipan yang memiliki kesalahan konsep tidak memenuhi semua indikator literasi numerasi.

Abstract

The digital era is synonymous with the use of technology that is beneficial for education. The use of technology must be balanced with character education to provide direction to students in utilizing technology. The decline in character in the digital era is evidence that character education has not been implemented optimally so that students deviate from the use of technology and internet networks. Teachers play an important role in overcoming character decline by instilling character values based on Christian ethics based on the Bible. Christian ethics is the basis for providing character education in the digital era. The purpose of this study was to determine the teacher's role in implementing character education to overcome the decline in student character in the digital era which was reviewed based on the study of Christian ethics. The method used is a literature review, namely a description of reading materials that are relevant to the research topic. Based on the literature review that has been carried out, it can be concluded that teachers have an important role in implementing character education to overcome the decline in student character in the digital era. The teacher has a role as an agent of reconciliation who guides students to have a Christ-like character with the aim of developing a Christian mindset, social responsibility, mental, physical, and social health and preparing students for the world of work.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Era digital identik dengan penggunaan teknologi yang bermanfaat bagi pendidikan. Penggunaan teknologi harus diimbangi dengan pendidikan karakter untuk memberikan arahan kepada siswa dalam memanfaatkan teknologi. Kemerosotan karakter di era digital adalah bukti pendidikan karakter belum dilaksanakan secara maksimal sehingga siswa melakukan penyimpangan terhadap penggunaan teknologi dan jaringan internet. Guru berperan penting untuk mengatasi kemerosotan karakter dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter berdasarkan etika Kristen yang berlandaskan pada Alkitab. Etika Kristen merupakan dasar dalam memberikan pendidikan karakter di era digital. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran guru dalam menerapkan pendidikan karakter untuk mengatasi kemerosotan karakter siswa di era digital yang ditinjau berdasarkan kajian etika Kristen. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian literatur yaitu deskripsi mengenai bahan-bahan bacaan yang relevan dengan topik penelitian. Berdasarkan kajian literatur yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru memiliki peran yang penting dalam menerapkan pendidikan karakter untuk mengatasi kemerosotan karakter siswa pada era digital. Guru memiliki peran sebagai agen rekonsiliasi yang menuntun siswa untuk dapat memiliki karakter serupa Kristus dengan tujuan mengembangkan pola pikir Kristen, tanggung jawab sosial, kesehatan mental, fisik, dan sosial serta mempersiapkan siswa untuk dunia kerja.

Abstract

Bullying behavior is currently very widespread in the school environment. The school as a place for students to study and pursue education becomes an environment that is no longer conducive to supporting the learning process. Therefore, this study aims to see the importance of the teacher's role as a guide in dealing with bullying behavior that occurs in the classroom. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The instruments used are observation sheets, interviews, and reflection. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the teacher as a mentor is very important in overcoming bullying behavior because the teacher acts as a role model, as well as a person who has authority in the classroom. As a supervisor the teacher pays attention to things that can be done, namely giving advice, instilling character education, as well as role models in the form of active action, namely giving motivation and exemplifying friendly and polite interaction patterns. The result is the creation of a classroom atmosphere that has good communication quality which has an impact on reducing bullying behavior in class.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Perilaku perundungan saat ini sangat marak terjadi di lingkungan sekolah. Oleh karena itu, sekolah sebagai wadah bagi para siswa untuk belajar dan menempuh pendidikan menjadi lingkungan yang tidak lagi kondusif dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pentingnya peran guru sebagai pembimbing dalam mengatasi perilaku perundungan yang terjadi di kelas. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, wawancara, dan refleksi. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah guru sebagai pembimbing sangat penting dalam mengatasi perilaku perundungan dikarenakan guru berperan sebagai teladan sekaligus pribadi yang memiliki otoritas di dalam kelas. Sebagai pembimbing guru menaruh perhatian terhadap hal-hal yang bisa dilakukan yakni memberi nasihat, menanamkan pendidikan karakter, juga teladan dalam bentuk tindakan aktif yaitu memberi motivasi dan mencontohkan pola interaksi yang ramah dan santun. Hasilnya berupa terciptanya suasana kelas yang memiliki kualitas komunikasi yang baik yang berdampak pada menurunnya perilaku perundungan di kelas.

Teachers and students around the world faced considerable challenges in coping with the sudden shifts in teaching and learning methods. In facing this challenge, teachers were required to be creative leaders in their teaching approach. Both teachers and students had to adapt quickly to change. One way to make learning more enjoyable and interesting is through collaborative learning. During online learning, teachers may use the Breakout Room feature of the Zoom application for collaborative learning. Teacher leadership and student motivation are two important elements in sustaining collaborative learning. The purpose of this quantitative study was to examine the effect of teacher leadership and student motivation through collaborative learning on the cognitive abilities of students at XYZ Elementary School. Thirty-six grade six students completed the online questionnaire. Research calculations using path analysis through the PLS SEM software were used to test the proposed hypothesis. The results showed that teacher leadership had a positive effect on collaborative learning and students' cognitive abilities. It was also found that student motivation had a positive effect on collaborative learning and students' cognitive abilities. Finally, collaborative learning has a positive impact on students’ cognitive abilities.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Dalam masa pandemi COVID-19, siswa harus melalui pendidikan mereka dengan pembelajaran daring dan pembelajaran jarak jauh. Guru dan siswa di seluruh dunia mengalami tantangan yang cukup berat untuk mengatasi perpindahan metode pembelajaran dan pengajaran yang mendadak. Dalam menghadapi tantangan ini, guru dituntut untuk menjadi pemimpin yang kreatif dalam mengajar dan para guru dan siswa harus cepat beradaptasi dengan perubahan. Salah satu cara untuk membuat pembelajaran menjadi lebih menyenangkan adalah melalui pembelajaran kolaboratif. Pembelajaran kolaboratif dalam pembelajaran daring dapat menggunakan fitur Breakout Room dari aplikasi Zoom. Kepemimpinan guru dan motivasi siswa adalah dua elemen penting dalam keberlangsungan dan keberhasilan pembelajaran kolaboratif. Tujuan dari penelitian kuantitatif ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh kepemimpinan guru dan motivasi siswa melalui pembelajaran kolaboratif terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa di Sekolah Dasar XYZ. Tiga puluh enam siswa SD Kelas 6 menyelesaikan kuesioner online. Perhitungan penelitian menggunakan analisis jalur melalui metode PLS SEM digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis yang diajukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan guru berpengaruh positif terhadap pembelajaran kolaboratif dan kemampuan kognitif siswa. Ditemukan juga bahwa motivasi siswa berpengaruh positif terhadap pembelajaran kolaboratif dan kemampuan kognitif siswa. Hasil terakhir adalah pembelajaran kolaboratif berdampak positif terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa

Abstract

Most students find it difficult to visualize in a three-dimensional coordinate system in a spatial analytic geometry course, so they need learning videos that can help them. The purpose of this study was to determine the results of an expert team's validation of a learning video about the three-dimensional coordinate system for a spatial analytic geometry course. In addition, this study also aimed to see the students' responses to the three-dimensional coordinate system learning video for the spatial analytic geometry course. This research used the ADDIE development research method (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). This research was conducted in the Mathematics Education Study Program at Pattimura University. The validation results of a team of 3 experts had an average score was 3.74. Based on the validation criteria, the expert team is in the very valid category. Furthermore, the total score obtained from the student response questionnaires is 1304 which is in the good category.  The recommendation from this research is that further research needs to be done to see whether the use of this learning video can improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities in a three-dimensional coordinate system.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Sebagian besar mahasiswa kesulitan melakukan visualisasi dalam sistem koordinat dimensi tiga pada mata kuliah geometri analitik ruang sehingga membutuhkan video pembelajaran yang dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam melakukan visualisasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil validasi tim ahli terhadap video pembelajaran sistem koordinat dimensi tiga pada mata kuliah geometri analitik ruang. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk melihat respon mahasiswa terhadap video pembelajaran sistem koordinat dimensi tiga pada mata kuliah geometri analitik ruang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Prodi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Pattimura. Hasil validasi tim ahli yang berjumlah 3 orang diperoleh jumlah skor rata-rata mencapai 3,74. Berdasarkan kriteria kevalidan validasi tim ahli termasuk kategori sangat valid. Selanjutnya, diperoleh jumlah skor total hasil dari angket respon mahasiswa adalah 1304 berada pada kategori baik. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlu dilakukan penelitian lanjutan untuk melihat apakah penggunaan video pembelajaran ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa pada sistem koordinat dimensi tiga.
