Abstract

The rapid and limitless development of information technology marks the era of technology and media. However, the constraint of instructional time often poses a challenge for teachers utilizing technology-based learning media. This research aims to develop and validate a geography learning media based on the Animaker application for high school students, particularly focusing on basic mapping concepts. Using the ADDIE model, the study was conducted at MAN 2 Jember during the academic year 2022/2023, targeting X IPS grade students. Data collection involved student needs surveys, validation of content and media by experts, and student feedback on the learning media. The study developed a video-based geography learning media using Animaker for SMA/MA students, involving a sample of 45 X IPS grade students. The analysis phase included administering student needs surveys, which indicated a majority requirement for learning media. The design of the Animaker application focused on layout, characters, and learning material presentation. Validation by media, content, and educational experts showed valid average scores across all evaluation aspects. Implementation in X IPS 3 and X IPS 4 classes yielded positive student responses, with average ratings of 4.28 for the large group and 4.38 for the small group. Evaluation indicated that the learning media was well-received by students, demonstrating readiness for broader application.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of 3D Hologram Pyramid learning media on students' interest in learning about volcanism in class X at SMAN 54 Jakarta. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically a one-group pre-test post-test design. The sampling technique employed is random sampling, ensuring that all members of the population have an equal chance of being selected. The sample for this study consists of 36 students from class X-F. Data collection was conducted using a learning interest questionnaire administered before and after the treatment. The research instruments were found to be valid and reliable, and the data was determined to be normal and homogeneous. Based on the research results, the average score of the questionnaire after the treatment for the experimental class was 81%, categorized as "Excellent." Data analysis using the Paired Sample T-test revealed a significance value (sig) of 0.000 < 0.05, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho) and the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). Therefore, the use of 3D Hologram Pyramid learning media has a significant effect on students' interest in learning in class X at SMAN 54 Jakarta.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the range of fire post locations on the fire vulnerability map in East Jakarta. The methodology of this research is quantitative research with data analysis techniques using GIS analysis, namely network analysis to create fire post affordability, and overlay analysis to create fire vulnerability maps. Based on result there are still areas that have not been reached, especially in Duren Sawit, Cakung, Makasar, Cipayung and Ciracas Districts. When viewed in terms of fire disaster vulnerability, East Jakarta City has a medium-high level of vulnerability, while areas with a low level of vulnerability are very few with an area of only 15 hectares. Areas with a medium level of vulnerability dominate with a total area of 12,362 hectares, while areas with a high level of vulnerability cover an area of 6,124 hectares. If an overlay analysis is carried out on the distance between fire posts and the fire vulnerability of residential areas in East Jakarta, it can be seen that there are still areas with a high-medium fire vulnerability class that are not yet reached by fire posts covering an area of 6,018.08 hectares. In fact, 46% of all areas with a high level of fire vulnerability have not been reached by fire stations. These areas are found in Duren Sawit, Ciracas and Cipayung sub-districts. It is recommended that fire posts be built in unreached areas to ensure disaster management is more efficient. Abstract

Population growth is a major driver of land cover/use change in general as it leads to economic development, which in turn requires land availability for other land uses, including infrastructure, services, industry and settlements. Using the symbolism of remote sensing satellites to plan land use over large areas is one approach that can be taken. This study aims to analyze land use change in Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra in the 2018-2022 period using Sentinel-2 satellite imagery. The method used is visual interpretation of satellite images with the help of ArcGIS software and multi-temporal spatial data comparison analysis. The results showed that there were 8 land use classes, namely water bodies, forests, rice fields, plantations, developed land, open land, clouds, and shrubs. Significant land use change occurred in built-up land which increased by 627 hectares (from 34% to 37% of the total area), while forest area decreased by 521 hectares (from 8% to 5%). These changes indicate land conversion from forest areas and other productive lands to built-up areas, driven by population growth and infrastructure needs. This study concludes that regular monitoring of land use change is necessary to support spatial planning and sustainable land resource management.
