Abstract

This present study examines the effect of technological turbulence in driving cooperation, the role of non-economic satisfaction in mediating between focal constructs of relationship marketing (RM) with cooperation, and the effect of interpersonal commitment on interorganizational commitment. The findings show that high technological turbulence dampens the positive relationship of two focal constructs of RM, non-economic satisfaction mediates focal constructs of RM and cooperation, and interpersonal commitment influences interorganizational commitment. The study uses empirical data from business-to-business (B2B) ICT resellers in Indonesia to test the hypotheses developed. A structured questionnaire via an online platform is used as a research instrument with one hundred and one companies participating. https://doi.org/10.21632/irjbs.14.2.171-186

Abstract

Although textile industry and textile products belong to the strategic sub-sector of manufacturing industry in Indonesia, they are facing problems on the availability of energy, old production machines, and the flooding of imported products into the domestic market. This study is aimed to analyze the efficiency and productivity as performance indicators and how the efficiency and import penetration affect the productivity of textile industry and textile products. The methods of data analysis used in this research are divided in two phases. The first phase, the non-metric approach of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is applied to measure the efficiency and productivity. Secondly, the fixed effect model of econometric regression approach is used to find out the effects of efficiency and import penetration on the productivity of textile industry and textile products. The result shows that the average level of efficiency of textile industry and textile products during the period of 2004 – 2008 is about 40 percent with a growth rate of average productivity increases 2.4 percent. Whereas, the econometric estimation results indicate that the increase of efficiency will positively and significantly affect the productivity of textile industry and textile products. On the other hand, the increase of import penetration will negatively affect the productivity of this industry.

Abstract

This study tried to identified the market and the rental value of Grha Z as one of the local assets in Province A. This study used cost approach and income approach in valuation to obtain rental value and Net Present Value (NPV) of the building, the construction cost of a new Grha Z building, management office, home generator, and warehouse. Because of the limited information, this study valuates the asset asymmetrically. The result of the calculation produces the value of assets, taxable value assets as the basis for calculating the value of the rental assets according to Minister of Finance (MoF) Regulation 33/2012. The results showed that the rental value of local assets such as land and buildings in the area Grha Z can be increased by Regulation of Indonesian MoF Number 33/2012. It can be used as a materialconsideration in the improvement of regional asset rental agreement. Keywords: rental value, income approach, cost approach, local asset(1) Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis Magister Ekonomika Pembangunan, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia(2) Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia(3) Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan Yogyakarta, Indonesia(4) Fakultas Ekonomi, Universitas Negeri Malang, Indonesia* Corresponding Author https://doi.org/10.21632/irjbs.12.1.31-39

Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) are recently popularised new form of financial market instruments that provide benefit of both mutual funds and stocks. Present study investigated if there exists any difference between the average returns of selected Gold ETFs during COVID-19 era against pre COVID-19 era and subsequently analysed the long term and short term impact of new COVID-19 cases and fatalities on returns of Gold ETFs through Auto-regressive distributed lag (ARDL) model. It has been observed that in long term new COVID-19 cases had positive and significant impact on the returns of ETFs while new fatalities had significant negative impact on the returns of all the Gold ETFs except for BSLGOLD ETF. Short-run relationship between dependent and independent variables was in contrast to the long-term relationship. https://doi.org/10.21632/irjbs.14.3.187-198

Abstract

Rural has become a prime headline for Indonesia’s development since the enactment of the Rural Act. Since the ratification, rural governments in Indonesia have more authority to manage their village economy through the establishment of a Bumdes. Unfortunately, although several Bumdes show good performance, most have problems that hamper their growth. This article stems from the researchers’ desire to observe the contribution of entrepreneurial activities in the village to rural resilience. This research applied qualitative research by interviewing rural stakeholders in nine Bumdes. The findings of the study indicate that low commitment from village heads and Bumdes directors, low motivation from Bumdes management, inadequate business knowledge from Bumdes management, rural political dynamics, and fluctuations in community participation are all obstacles to Bumdes' ability to promote rural resilience. This research demonstrates that in order to attain rural resilience, Bumdes requires a more holistic strategy to promote stakeholder attachment. https://doi.org/10.21632/irjbs.14.3.257-266

Abstract

With the recent outbreak of COVID-19, the fragility of the global SC has been revealed. Significant disruption from both the demand and supply side has jolted the garment industry of Bangladesh. This paper aims to foster a more explicit understanding of the disruption vulnerability factors of the Bangladesh RMG SC beyond COVID-19. To achieve the aims, exploratory study methodology is used by extensive literature review. Analysis revealed that Bangladesh RMG SC is vulnerable to hazard, strategic, financial, operational, infrastructural, and demand and supply factors. Natural calamities, infrastructural collusions, labor and political unrest, globally intensified competition, non-compliance issues, high dependency on imported materials, lack of product and market diversification can lead Bangladesh RMG SC to disruptive events. The analysis of this study will help factory owners, industrial managers, and designated authorities to identify vulnerabilities associated with the Bangladesh RMG SC and take measures to reduce the vulnerabilities to disruption. https://doi.org/10.21632/irjbs.14.3.199-214
