Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the application of EDS as an effort to improve the quality of primary schools. This research was conducted in Ponorogo District with elementary school research object and elementary school operator in UPTD Jenangan District and UPTD Pulung District. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used are (1) interview, (2) observation, and (3) documentation. The data analysis used is a qualitative technique, namely to examine the problem on a case by case basis because the researcher believes that the nature of a problem one will be different from the nature of the other problem.The results showed that school self-evaluation became an alternative for schools to improve school quality. With school self-evaluation, school strengths and weaknesses are known. Furthermore, with the school self-evaluation, will be known position of school accreditation.

Abstract

Puppet (Wayang) in its development has been used as media of entertainment, show, preaching, illumination, even social criticism. At Ponorogo, there was Wayang Kemplo which writes and tells stories of puppet figures in accordance with the local area reality and considered as a feedback or criticism towards some social realities, based on self anxiety of its puppeteer. This paper will examine the criticism of Wayang Kemplo againts the social dynamic of Ponorogo, particularly on the education and the academic society response towards these criticism. Among those things that can be summed up by this study, are: (1) Society, the education world in particular is a community that is supposed to be familiar with valuas such as honesty, hard working, discipline, etc. however, it showed that the reallity was as its opposite. Academic community often showed lies, laziness, and lack of discipline through purchasing the academic degree, cheating culture, or false scientific work. Those reality caused corcern of the puppeteer to criticize them through his wayang kemplo, (2) The criticism of wayang kemplo was responded differently, some took it seriously and even tried to intimidate the author, mainly the criticized officials. Many also thought of it as an entertainment for its humor and jokes, so the presence of these posts were always eagerly anticipated.

Abstract

teaching learning activity is a purposeful thing created to bring the students to success. However, in the middle of this process, it often encounter obstacles. In this case, the problem was on the lack of the students understanding towards the lesson taught by the teacher. The research object were the students of class I Al-Hakim Islamic elementary school of Boyolangu. The data collection technique was through test, observation, interview, and fieldnotes. The collected data related to the drilling method application were analyzed qualitatively. From this research, it was found that: (1) the application of learning by using drilling method could improve the students learning achievement. (2) the students activeness in joining the learning process was increasing, it can be seen from the observation to the students activities, that there were improvement from the 1st cycle to the 2nd cycle, that was 60.71%  improved to 82.69%. For the test results also increased from the students’ average 79.44 to 93.88. Likewise, in terms of completeness also had risen from 83.3% to 100%. Then it can be concluded that the application of drilling method can overcome mathematics learning difficulties of low-grade students.

Abstract

Changes or modernization of islamic education in Indonesia which related to the idea of islamic modernization affect the science dynamics on educational environments, including Pesantren. The idea of Islamic modernization finds its momentum since in the beginning of 20 century AD, on the educational field is realized with the establishment of modern educational institution. Boarding School (Pondok Pesantren) as an educational institution could not avoid modernization which penetrated and influenced all places and regions. A concrete manifestation of this modernization in the educational management at boarding school is including: management of formal education done in kindergarten (TK), Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), Mdrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), and Madrasah Aliyah (MA) and the management of education and teaching outside the formal school hours which is undertaken by the parenting teacher with some supporting factors. From the study it was found that the boarding school had successfully showed the strength of Islamic educational institution despite the implementation of modern learning pattern and system.Boarding school was still actively educating people with its role and function as an alternative instituion, that were: a commitment on Tafaqquh Fiddin, a whole time education (full day school), integrated education (integrative), a whole education (affective, cognitive, psychomotor), a free diversity, independent, and responsible, as well as a small society

Abstract

The essence of religious truth genuinely is found in its answer for human problem. For every religion has its own secret mission to save and guide human beings to the good and right way. Pluralism is a reality happens around our daily lives. It appears in terms of religious, cultural, and educational pluralism, race and ethnic. All kinds of pluralism are natural things without any kind of engineering or human desire. It means that it's God's wish as the only creator of human beings and all lives in this world. Of course, on the purpose that people can find within all differences the positive sides as guidance for cooperation, introspection, and help for each other. So that, basically the pluralism values have strong roots in religious teaching, especially Islam whose reality and history are closely related to monotheism as a basic teaching in Islam. In this case, if only Allah wished, all people become one ummah, one ethnic, one nation, one religion, however Allah does not wish so. Intentionally, Allah created us in different kinds to examine whatHe has given and let His servants compete each other in good deeds.

Abstract

This study tried to reveal the relationship between emotional intelligence and learning motivation, the relationship between learning motivation and students achievement, and to explain the direct and indirect relationships between emotional intelligence and learning motivation with the students achievement. In accordance with the theme, this study is a correlational quantitative research. In collecting the data, this study used a questionnaire consisting of emotional intelligence and motivation variables. While the data of students achievement variables was obtained from the results of the students' test scores. While the techniques used to test hypotheses was path analysis with the technique of multiple linear regression analysis. The result of the data analysis proved that (1) emotional intelligence possessed by the students was high, the learning motivation was classified as very high, and students achievement was also high, (2) there was relationship between emotional intelligence and learning motivation, that the significance of the t-test value was 0.012, (3) there was relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement, the significance of the t-test value was 0.007, (4) there was simultaneous relationship between emotional intelligence and students learning motivation which was described by the significance value of F test that was 0.000. Whereas the scale of relationship between emotional intelligence and learning motivation was 65.5%, while 35.5% of which were influenced and related to other variables or by other factors that was not included in this research model, such as: the physical condition of the children, the learning environment, parental upbringing, etc. Moreover, as shown by the results of the ANOVA test, the significance value of R square was 0.682. The scale of direct relationship between Emotional intelligence and the students achievement was 0.012, and the scale of direct relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement of the students was 0.007. While the value of indirect relationship between emotional intelligence and students achievement was at 0.337 and the indirect relationship between learning motivation and learning achievement of the students was 0.360.This study tried to reveal the relationship between emotionalintelligence and learning motivation, the relationship between learningmotivation and students achievement, and to explain the direct and indirectrelationships between emotional intelligence and learning motivation with thestudents achievement. Abstract

The development of the quality of religious universities in general is still left behind. One of the causes, construction of the foundation of quality in religious colleges is still partial. This article attempts to identify the quality of general religious college education in Indonesia through critical analysis and offers alternative solutions to improve it. One of the right models to improve the quality of education is the global quality assurance model. This model is an integration of PD Dikti quality standards, quality standards of National Accreditation Board, internal quality audit, Webometric, and religious institutions distingsi standards. As for improving the quality of education and learning of lecturers and students are able to produce learning products in the form of books and scientific articles published in national and international scientific journals as well as increasing the competence of graduates. Therefore the aspects of ontology, epistemology and axiology in the integration of science in the curriculum of education need to be constructed with critical interrelation model. This model is relatively effective enough to anticipate the occurrence of pseudo interconnects, preventing hybridity and new hegemonic scholarship in the pattern of interconnectivity and protect the characteristics of every science.

Abstract

TKI post-migration becomes an important phenomenon that needs to get noticed intensively both from the government and society at large. Their return from abroad in addition to providing a positive contribution both for themselves, their families, and government. Due to the presence of migrants remittances of money increases so drastically. But a new problem arises, namely the workers did not have any postmigration activities that lead to improvements in the productive economy. Their income from abroad is used for unqualified consumptive needs. Through this research is expected to empower workers carry out postmigration economic development through productive ventures to materialize sakinah family. In particular, this study aims to 1) change the pattern of the workers think the post-migration from consumer culture to be productive by converting mental labor to employers, 2) economic empowerment of the workers productive post-migration and family education sakinah, 3) create a model of post-migration through the empowerment of migrant workers sakinah productive economy and family. The research was conducted in Ponorogo, East Java Province. The selection is based on considerations of the high number of migrants after migration in this area as well as the efforts to improve the quality of a productive economy. The method used by triangulation techniques, the method combined qualitative with quantitative methods. The analysis of secondary data using descriptive domain analysis techniques, taxonomy, Componential. The results of this study in the form of modules that will be applied to the empowerment of workers after the migration is, first, the modules of the changing patterns of the workers think the mental postmigration of workers into entrepreneurs; Second, entrepreneurship education and training modules; Third, education and training modules to build sakinah families according to the concept of religion.

Abstract

Learning is a complex activity in education, good teaching needs to be supported by systems and components, some of the learning system are students, teachers, methods (strategies) learning, learning activities and evaluation tool selection, some of these components are interrelated each other and support each other, to achieve the goal of education is needed in schools PAI (Islamic Education) assessment, some of the components of the learning objectives can be achieved as expected. Thus, reconstruction some of components is expected to maximize the learning activities at school, so the PAI learning objectives can be achieved.

Abstract

This study is a kind of awareness training application model for enhancing school counselors multicultural awareness. Awareness training model consists of two phases, such as (1) giving tasksfinishing tasks, and (2) reflection task analysis and reflection. Training model application followed by the use of strategy and supporting media like film display, bibliolearning can be done via discussions, presentations, speech, and role plays. This study exerted experimental research pretestpostest control group design. Research subjects were 30 counselors of MTs divided into experimental group and control group. Data collection used awareness multicultural scales, validities, reliabilities analyses, while the data analysis exerted descriptive technique and statistical analyses. Based on the data analyses the research results indicated, awareness training model affected multicultural awareness. By these findings, awareness training model could be applied effectively in the multicultural training because it affected significantly towards counselors multicultural awareness.
