Abstract

In recent years, Indonesia has started to adopt electric motorcycles (EMCs), but until 2019 the market share of electric vehicles (EVs) was only around 0.05%. This figure is far from the target set by the Ministry of Industry of a 20% market share in 2025. This quantitative research was conducted to get a novel picture of what potential customers think about EMC products. The proposed model used structural equation modelling with SmartPLS-3 over 300 respondents. The research found that detailed product information positively and significantly influences consumer attitudes toward adopting EMCs. Tacit knowledge also positively and significantly influences consumer attitudes toward the environment. Furthermore, tacit knowledge directly affects the purchase intention of EMCs with a significant and positive value. As the mediating variable, consumer attitudes towards the environment have no mediation effect toward purchase intention. These findings are expected to increase the public’s knowledge and awareness of the environmental impact in determining which EMC products are more environmentally friendly than others. Here, environmentally friendly means the absence of direct emissions on vehicle exhaust and the total direct and indirect emissions.

Abstract

The massive increases in textual data from Twitter and text analytics simultaneously have driven organizations to obtain hidden insights to implement the proper marketing strategies for businesses. The vast information generated by Twitter enables most e-commerce businesses to utilize Twitter to implement social media marketing. One of those e-commerce businesses is Blibli Indonesia. Intense business competition has led them to perform marketing strategies to understand consumer tendencies. Focusing the marketing strategies on consumer preferences enables the increase of consumer interest in Blibli, which is in line with enhancing the opportunity to reach new consumers. This research aims to discover Twitter content based on k-means results to cluster the tweets of @bliblidotcom. The best cluster is determined with the elbow method by selecting the deepest curvature, three clusters. The result suggests that Twitter users like Park Seo Jun's content. Hence, Blibli can focus on that content as its business marketing strategy on the Twitter platform.

Abstract

The characteristics considered in this study are probabilistic demand, perishable products, and warehouse constraints for multi-item inventory models. This condition occurs in several industries that consider perishable factors and warehouse constraints, namely companies that produce food, food sales agents, and retail that sell goods to end customers. The Karush-Kuhn-Tucker Condition approach was used to solve the warehouse capacity problem to find the optimum point of a constrained function. The results of the developed inventory model provide two optimal ordering times, namely ordering time-based on warehouse capacity and joint order time, and the two ordering time values will be compared to determine which ordering time is optimal. In addition, the sensitivity analysis to the model was done to analyse the total inventory costs in a planning horizon, the time between goods ordering from one cycle to the next cycle, and the number of items that will expire. The parameters to be changed for the sensitivity test were warehouse constraint, a fraction of good condition goods, holding costs per unit per period, and all unit discount factors. The sensitivity analysis was done to see the behaviour of the total cost, time to order changes, and the quantity of perished products. The result of model testing and sensitivity analysis showed that total cost, based on joint order, is sensitive to the fraction of good condition products, discount, and holding cost.  The joint order was not sensitive to the warehouse capacity. In general, the model was perceived as able to describe the behaviour of the model components.

Abstract

The footwear industry is distinguished by its manual assembly line and a high proportion of shared workstation configuration. This study focuses on a subset of the single row facility layout problem known as the paired single row facility layout problem. As one of type of single-row facility layout, the paired single row facility layout problem cannot be solved quickly. Further, different objectives also need to be considered in the decision-making process. Therefore, multi-objective approaches are proposed to minimize the penalty of material handler usage while maximizing the adjacency function based on each workstation's closeness rating. A Single Row Facility Layout is an NP-hard problem; this problem also belongs to the NP-hard problem class. As a result, we propose a hybrid method combining variable neighborhood search (VNS) and genetic algorithm (GA) to solve the problem of obtaining the optimal configuration of a multi-objective paired single-row assembly line. A heuristic approach was used to create the schematic representation solution. To obtain the neighborhood solutions, a hybrid VNSGA was used. The schematic representation solution employs crossover and variable neighborhood descent. Using the concept of VNS, the neighborhood was changed in each generation.

Abstract

This paper deals with the vehicle routing problem with multiple trips and time windows (VRPMTTW). The problem combines two features to the basic vehicle routing problem (VRP): multiple trips and time windows. The basic VRP and its variants fall into hard combinatorial optimization problems. Therefore, many heuristics have been developed to solve large problems. Local search (LS) is one of the heuristics using a neighborhood structure in order to find a better solution. This paper focuses on the comparative study of neighborhood structures applied in LS for the VRPMTTW. Two classes of neighborhood structures are compared: Tour-based and permutation-based neighborhood structures. The tour-based neighborhood structures are the neighborhoods in which the moves are performed on the solution represented by a set of tours. The permutation-based neighborhood structures are the neighborhood structures in which the moves are carried out on the solution represented by a permutation of customers. Comparing the performance of the neighborhood structures uses two responses: (1) relative improvement in the objective function value and (2) computation time. The first response is used to measure effectiveness, while the second is used as efficiency. Based on the computational experiment results, it is generally revealed that the permutation-based neighborhood structures used in LS are more effective than the tour-based neighbourhood structures. However, the permutation-based neighborhood structures are less efficient because they give higher computation times.

Abstract

Patients under the methadone Flexi dispensing (MFlex) program are required to do blood tests like renal profile. To ensure the patient has a kidney failure, a doctor assesses one parameter like creatinine. Unfortunately, the existing system does not have a stable ecosystem towards classification and optimization due to inaccurate measurement methods and lack of justification of significant parameters, which will influence the accuracy of diagnosis. The objective is to apply the Mahalanobis-Taguchi system (MTS) in the MFlex program. The data is collected at Bandar Pekan clinic with 34 parameters. Two types of MTS methods are used, such as RT-Method and T-Method, for classification and optimization. As a result, the RT-Method can classify healthy and unhealthy samples, while the T-Method can evaluate the significant parameters in terms of the degree of contribution. Fifteen unknown samples have been diagnosed with different positive and negative degrees of contribution to achieving lower MD. The best-proposed solution is type 5 of 6 modifications because it shows the highest MD value than others. In conclusion, a pharmacist from Bandar Pekan clinic confirmed that MTS could solve a problem in the classification and optimization of the MFlex program.

Abstract

In recent years, the issue of fuel depletion has become a significant problem in the world. The logistics sector is one of the sectors with an increase in fuel consumption. Therefore, route optimization is one of the attempts to solve the problem of minimization fuel consumption. In addition, this problem generally also has time windows. This study aimed to solve the Green Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows (GVRPTW) using the Camel Algorithm (CA). The objective function in this problem was to minimize the total cost of distribution, which involves the cost of fuel consumption and the cost of late delivery. The CA parameter experiment was conducted to determine the effect of the parameter on distribution cost and the computation time. In addition, this study also compared the CA algorithm's performance with the Local search algorithm, Particle Swarm Optimization, and Ant Colony Optimization. Results of this study indicated that the use of Camel population parameters and the total journey step affected the quality of the solution. Furthermore, the research results showed that the proposed algorithm had provided a better total distribution cost than the comparison algorithm.

Abstract

The agriculture industry has proliferated in the last decades, increasing the environmental footprint. Several development concepts include integrating the ecological aspect into the supply chain to reduce environmental degradation. In implementing the idea, companies in the agriculture industry need to evaluate their performance in the environmental area. This measurement uses the Green Supply Chain Operations Reference (GSCOR) Model that provides its entire supply chain aspect. This study demonstrates that the enable parameter criterion, which shows the magnitude of employee management toward environmental requirements, significantly impacts supply chain performance. Other criteria are also critical, such as a plan that considers every entity's usage and a source that considers the supply of the entities. The performance measurement produces a 6.357 value in the yellow color category with an average condition in the company. It produces three key performance indicators (KPI), such as water usage, percentage hazardous materials in inventory, and percentage hazardous waste, with a red classification that should be improved.
