Abstract

This study aimed at formulating a model of conflict-resolution counseling with comprehensive guidance ground for developing peace and harmony life competences of vocational high school students. Quantitative-qualitative approach with researchand development method was used. Population of the research consisted of students of vocational high schools in Bandung Municipality with its sample amounting to 364 students, 4 counselors, and 1 expert of guidance and counseling intervention. Results showed: (1) learning to be and learning to live together were education pillars which were not neglected, where there is a view that learning to live together as a parexcellent pillar; (2) Generally students’ peace and harmony life competences were in high category but affection, harmony, and thanks giving aspects needed to be developed; (3) conflict resolution was under the umbrella of peace education, in agroup with peace, reconciliation, tolerance, respect to human rights, and civil participation; (4) based on theoretical and empirical consideration, the conflict - resolution guidance with comprehensive guidance background was predicted to beable to become an alternative solution for developing students’ peace and harmony life competences, and (5) validation results of a rational model that involved guidance and counseling experts and school counselors showed that the model had feasibility to be implemented at school.Keywords: counseling, conflict-resolution, comprehensive guidance, peace and harmony life.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan merumuskan model konseling resolusi konflik berlatar bimbingan komprehensif untuk mengembangkan kompetensi hidup damai dan harmoni siswa SMK. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif-kualitatif dengan metode riset pengembangan. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SMK di kota Bandung dengan jumlah sampel 364 siswa, 4 orang konselor, dan 1 orang pakar intervensi BK. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) learning to be dan learning to live together adalah pilar yang tidak dapat diabaikan, sementara ada pandangan bahwa learning to live together sebagai pilar keunggulan; (2) secara umum kompetensi hidup damai dan harmoni siswa berada pada kategori tinggi namun aspek keharuan, harmoni, dan terima kasih masih perlu pengembangan; (3) resolusi konflik berada dalam payung pendidikan damai (peace education) satu gugus dengan perdamaian, rekonsiliasi, toleransi, penghargaan terhadap hak asasi, dan partisipasi sipil; (4) berdasarkan pertimbangan teoretis dan empiris, konseling resolusi konflik dapat menjadi alternatif solusi pengembangan kompetensi hidup damai dan harmoni siswa; dan (5) hasil validasi rasional menunjukkan bahwa model memiliki fisibilitas untuk diimplementasikan di sekolah.This study aimed at formulating a model of conflict-resolution counseling with comprehensive guidance ground for developing peace and harmony life competences of vocational high school students. Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan salah satu faktor pendukung untuk mewujudkan cita-cita bangsa. Dalam sistem pendidikan nasional Indonesia, pendidikan diselenggarakan melalui 2 (dua) jalur, yaitu jalur pendidikan sekolah dan jalur pendidikan luar sekolah. Objek penelitian ini adalah siswa IPS kelas filial SMA Kertanegara di daerah Kalisongo, Kecamatan Dau, Kabupaten Malang. Kelas filial diperuntukkan untuk anak-anak disekitar daerah Kalisongo yang tidak dapat mengikuti kelas reguler pada umumnya, baik itu karena faktor ekonomi maupun jarak tempuh yang cukup jauh. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh guru masih menggunakan metode ceramah sehingga kondisi di kelas banyak siswa kelas filial SMA Kertanegara Malang tidak dapat mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran dalam kelas ( bergurau dengan teman di luar konteks pembelajaran, bermain gadget ). Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini dilakukan dengan tujuan : (1) Memaparkan respon kelas ketika diterapkannya model picture and picture , (2) Memaparkan tingkat pemahaman dan hasil belajar siswa terhadap materi yang disampaikan ketika diterapkannya model pembalajaran picture and picture. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan mengolaborasikan pendekatan Lesson study (LS). Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa ranah yang paling dominan dapat dicapai oleh siswa yakni ranah kognitif, dibuktikan dengan kemampuan analisis fenomena yang diberikan oleh guru. Selain itu kemampuan lain yang dapat dicapai oleh siswa sebagai data primer yakni kemampuan untuk menghargai pendapat teman (ranah afektif), dan kemampuan untuk menginterpretasikan hasil diskusi dengan kelompok dalam bentuk tulisan (psikomotorik). Education is one of the supporting factors to realize the ideals of the nation. In the national education system of Indonesia, education is conducted through 2 (two) channels, namely the school education path and the out-of-school education path. The object of this research is students of IPS class filial SMA Kertanegara in Kalisongo, Dau District, Malang Regency. The filial class is for children around the Kalisongo area who can not attend regular classes in general, be it economic or long distance. This research is motivated by teachers still using lecture method so that the condition in the class of many students of SMA Kertanegara Malang filial class can not follow the learning activity in the class (joking with friends outside the learning context, playing the gadget). Classroom Action Research is done with the aim of: (1) Exposing the class response when the application of the picture and picture model, (2) Presenting the level of understanding and student learning outcomes to the material presented when applied model of picture and picture. The method used is Classroom Action Research Method by collaborating with Lesson Study (LS) approach. The results of this study that the dominant domain can be achieved by students that is cognitive domain, evidenced by the ability of analysis of phenomena given by the teacher. In addition other capabilities that can be achieved by students as primary data that is the ability to appreciate the opinions of friends (affective sphere), and the ability to interpret the results of discussion with the group in writing (psychomotor).

Abstract

This study was intended to uncover the challenges faced by parents in developing the social competence of their children with visual impairment who live in the community of sighted children, the results of which are expected to be used as the basis for developing a guidance and counseling program to help them to meet the challenges. The study was carried out using the qualitative approach with the case study strategy; the in-depth interview was used to collect the data, and the Social Attribute Checklist adapted from McClellan Katz (2001) was used to portray the social competence profile of the children. The results of the study indicated that children whose parents were active in exposing them to their social environment and encouraged and supported them to enter a sighted peer group, had a high interest in interacting with their peers, were well accepted by the peer group, and were successful in developing friendship with sighted peers, and, in its turn, these children were also successful in showing a good social competence.

Abstract

Speech and language is an initial capability to be owned subsidiaries as capital to be able to interact and communicate. Intervention is given to those who experience barriers to development including speech development of language in children with Down syndrome. This study aims to formulate intervention programs in accordance with the development and needs of children with Down syndrome. This study to determine the speech development in children with down syndrome and the efforts that have been undertaken to help develop their speaking skills. This study used mixed methods with sequential exploratory design, which is a design study that combines qualitative and quantitative research gradually. Results from this study showed that the ability to speak the child is still limited to the pronunciation of the word without any specialhandling. The program consists of interventions designed aspects of understanding of the vocabulary, syntax and schematically drawn based on the child's development. The results of the implementation of this program showed improvement in the children speak a few words. This program can be implemented in teaching and learning in the classroom. More attention in children can help children with Down syndrome improve speaking ability.Keywords: intervention program, speech intelligibility, down syndrome, mixed methods

Abstract

This research is to generate a guidance program through playing to increase the development of adaptive behaviour in preschool students. The research used qualitative approach. The subjects were students of Taman kanak-kanak Sekolah Laboratorium (Percontohan) UPI along with their parents. Data were obtained by observing the children and interviewing their parents with Vineland Social Maturity Scale as reference. Data analysis was done by: (1) reducing the data; (2) displaying the data; and (3) concluding. It was shown in this research’s results that students who had received a guidance progrm through playing from their teachers showed a better adaptive behaviour. Teachers as mentors can implement guidance program through playing properly by fulfilling some conditions regarding their ability, attitude, and skills in understanding the meaning and types of guidance. In order to make a guidance program to develop preschool students’ adaptive behaviour, a preschool teacher may follow these steps, a) observing each student’s adaptive behaviour development; b) integrating guidance program through playing into the learning program weekly or daily; c) completing the learning facilities; d) carrying out a guidance program through playing with measurable results. A guidance program that suits the student’s needs is recommended in developing his adaptive ability.

Abstract

Writing this article aims to describe the empirical data on student psychological power S1 UPI that includes psychological problems in fulfilling the needs and competencies of intrapersonal and interpersonal competence as elements that build psychological power. This study was conducted in 2011 using quantitative descriptive method to sample as many as 585 students S1 UPI selected using non probability sampling techniques. The results showed that at the university level andfaculty, the highest percentage in the fulfillment of psychological problems is not free in the choice of life and does not understand the responsibilities attached to the selection. Psychological power level students in general are in a category average, the percentage of students who have psychological power below the average higher than the above average, as well as the distribution of competence intrapersonal and interpersonal competence. The percentage of students FPBS and FPMIPA with power levels of psychological, interpersonal competence, and interpersonal competencies under average considerably higher than students with psychological power levels above the average; while the percentage of students FIP and FPTK with power levels of psychological, interpersonal competence and interpersonal competence above average muchhigher than students with psychological power levels below average.Keywords: psychological power, psychological, interpersonal competence, interpersonalcompetence.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Metode VAKT terhadap peningkatan kemampuan mengenal bangun datar pada Anak cerebral palsy. Metode VAKT merupakan singkatan dari Visual, Auditori, Kinestetik dan Taktil yang merupakan metode dengan menggunakan seluruh indera anak. Penggunaan Metode VAKT dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal bangun datar pada Anak cerebral palsy. Materi bangun datar merupakan konsep paling dasar dalam pelajaran matematika. Pengetahuan akan bentuk diperlukan dalam berbagai aspek dalam kehidupan. Berdasarkan hal itu anak cerebral palsy di PAUD GaMus (Garasi Anak Muslim) mengalami masalah dalam mengenal bangun datar. Anak cerebral palsy memiliki intelegensi yang rendah (pelupa) serta memiliki rasa rendah diri. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian Subjek tunggal atau disebut Single Subject Research. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Desain A-B-A yang memiliki tiga fase yaitu : A-1 (Baseline 1), B (Intervensi), A-2 (Baseline 2). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa metode VAKT dapat meningkatkan kemampuan anak cerebral palsy dalam mengenal bangun datar. Hal itu dapat dilihat dari hasil mean level pada setiap sesi terjadi peningkatan. Dari mean level A-1 dengan hasil 33,33 %, mean level Intervensi dengan hasil mean level 82,29 % dan mean level A-2 100 %. Berdasarkan hasil perolehan itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa Metode VAKT dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal bangun datar pada Anak Cerebral Palsy.AbstractThis study was conducted to determine the effect of VACT method on increasing the ability to recognize flat waking in children with cerebral palsy. The VAKT method stands for Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic and Tactile which is a method using all children's senses. The use of VAKT method in this study aims to improve the ability to recognize flat waking in children with cerebral palsy. Flat building material is the most basic concept in mathematics. Knowledge of forms is needed in various aspects of life. Based on this, cerebral palsy children in GaMus Early Childhood Education (Muslim Child Garage) experience problems in getting to know flat building. Cerebral palsy children have low intelligence (forgetfulness) and have a sense of inferiority. The method in this study is a single subject research or called Single Subject Research. The research design used is A-B-A Design which has three phases, namely: A-1 (Baseline 1), B (Intervention), A-2 (Baseline 2). Based on the results of the study, it is known that the VAKT method can improve the ability of cerebral palsy children to recognize flat waking. It can be seen from the results of the mean level in each session an increase. From the mean level A-1 with a result of 33.33%, the mean level of intervention with the mean level of 82.29% and the mean level of A-2 is 100%. Based on the results of the acquisition, it can be concluded that the VAKT method can improve the ability to recognize flat waking in children with cerebral palsy.

Abstract

AbstrakPerkembangan dunia pendidikan sudah selayaknya diimbangi dengan peningkatan mutu dan layanan pendidikan di Indonesia.  Dengan upaya mempersiapkan calon guru yang kompeten, sudah seharusnya mahasiswa yang dididik menjadi calon guru memiliki ketertarikan berkarir menjadi guru. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengungkap hubungan antara adversity intelligence (X1) dan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap karir keguruan (X2) dengan ketertarikan berkarir menjadi guru (Y). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian deskriptif korelasional. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang telah memenuhi uji validiras dan reliabilitas dengan mengambil sampel penelitian mahasiswa S1 PTI angkatan 2014 sebesar 130 responden. Teknik analisis data menggunakan korelasi parsial dan regresi ganda. Dari hasil penelitian didapat persamaan regresi Y= 7,859+0,292X1 + 0,167X2 dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,001 yang artinya terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara X1, X2 dengan Y secara simultan. AbstractThe development of the world of education should be balanced with the improvement ofquality and education services in Indonesia. With the effort to prepare a competent teacher, there are already students who are educated to be teachers who have an interest in becoming a teacher career. The purpose of this study is to reveal the relationship between adversity intelligence (X ) and student perceptions of career training (X ) with the interest 1 2 of career to be a teacher (Y). This research is quantitative descriptive correlational design. Data collection methods used questionnaires that have met the validation test and reliability by taking a sample of undergraduate students of PTI class of 2014 for 130 respondents. In analyzing the data partial correlation and multiple regression has used. From the results of this research it can be concluded that there are matching regression which is Y = 7.859 + 0.292X1 + 0.167X2 with significant 0.001 which means that there positive correlation between X , X with Y simultaneously.

Abstract

AbstrakIdentitas dan citra guru di mata masyarakat Indonesia hingga dewasa kini masih identikdengan ungkapan “Pahlawan Tanpa Tanda Jasa”. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan sebab akibat yang muncul dalam ungkapan pahlawan tanpa tanda jasa. Dengan memahami hubungan sebab akibat dari ungkapan pahlawan tanpa tanda jasa diharapkan dapat memandu masyarakat ataupun orang-orang yang terlibat dalam pendidikan untuk memposisikan guru di Indonesia pada sisi yang lebih manusiawi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis framing atau analisis isi mengenai fenomena ungkapan pahlawan tanpa tanda jasa dari sebuah kajian sosial di dalam masyarakat Indonesia, objek kajian dalam tulisan ini merupakan pendekatan interpretasi peneliti selama konteks hubungan sebab akibat ungkapan pahlawan tanpa tanda jasa yang menjadi fokus analisisnya. Hasil dari penlitian ini menunjukan bahwa ungkapan pahlawan tanpa tanda jasa dianggap telah menjadi identitas bagi guru di Indonesia. Tulisan ini juga diharapkan dapat merangsang penelitian dan pengembangan profesi guru di Indonesia. AbstractThe identity and image of the teacher in the eyes of the Indonesian people to adulthood is now still synonymous with the expression "Hero without a sign of service". This paper aims to analyze the causal relationships that appear in unsung heroic expressions. Understanding the causal relationship of unsung heroes' expressions is expected to guide people or people involved in education to position teachers in Indonesia on the more human side. The method used in this study uses framing analysis or content analysis on the phenomenon of unsung heroic expressions from a social study in Indonesian society, the object of study in this paper is the approach of researcher interpretation during the context of the causal relationship due to the unsung heroic expression that is the focus the analysis. The results of this research show that the expression of unsung heroes is considered to have become an identity for teachers in Indonesia. This paper is also expected to stimulate the teaching profession research and development in Indonesia.
