Abstract

The student interest of learning a traditional music instrument such as Saron and innovative media lacking in extracurricular learning traditional music instrument have an impact on the low skills of students. The purpose of this study is to improve the skills of students through the use of the VAM application as a medium for practicing and memorizing song notations in extracurricular of traditional music instrument. This study uses action research designs. The results in this study indicate students' skills in playing traditional musical instruments increased significantly after being given actions to apply VAM applications in extracurricular traditional music instrument. Students also like learning by using the VAM application in learning traditional music instrument. this is proven by a questionnaire or post-action survey, at the end of the study, according to them the VAM application is easy to play anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

The low sensitivity tones of students in elementary school is still a problem, especially in creating a sense of music. This study aims to determine the effect of the Dalcroze method through the Meludia Melody-Ear Training of sensitivity tones and differences with conventional learning; and to find students' responses to learning Dalcroze method through the Meludia Melody-Ear Training. The research design used was quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study were 2 rows in class IV at one of the primary schools in Cimanggung Subdistrict, Sumedang. The results showed that learning Dalcroze method through the Meludia Melody-Ear Training had a positive influence on sensitivity tones and 17% better than of conventional learning, and there was a positive response from students to learning Dalcroze method through the Meludia Melody-Ear Training. The conclusion is the Dalcroze method through the Meludia Melody-Ear Training can help improve sensitivity tones skills.

Abstract

Music art learning in understanding the solmisation notation in elementary schools still have many difficulties. Understanding the song solmisation notation is very important to learn especially in playing musical instruments. Difficulty understanding the notation can be solved using the Kodaly method of hand signing technique. The research method uses the experimental quasi method as well as the design of non-equivalent control group design research.  This research was conducted in one of the primary schools in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia with a total subject of 68 students in two classes studying in the fourth grade with a range of 9-10 years. The results showed that the increase in the experimental class averaged 39.70 to 51.67 and in the control class an average increase of the value of 38.23 to 45.58. This study showed an increase in the ability to understand song solmisation notation in experimental classes using the Kodaly method hand signing technique is better than the control class using conventional learning

Abstract

One of the problems that occurs today is the low ability of student’s singing accuracy. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the increase in the student’s singing accuracy in the experimental class who did pitch-matching exercises with the control class that did conventional learning without pitch-matching exercises. The design of this study was quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study were 30 students in the experimental class and 31 students in the control class. Based on the results of the study, the average value of students in the experimental class increased from 40 to 68.8, while in the control class the average value of students increased from 33.5 to 40. However, based on the results of statistical tests that there were differences in improvement which indicated an increase in class the experiment was higher than the control class.

Abstract

One of the problems in singing at elementary school is the skill students of stabilizing tempo, when the tempo becomes an important because it is one of the main elements in singing. Application metronome become alternative solution that teachers can use as learning media to stabilize singing tempo. The study aims to determine the difference in student skills to stabilize the singing tempo in experimental classes and control classes. The design of this research is a quasi-experimental with non-equivalent design control group. The samples on this study were 30 students of experimental class and 30 students of the control class. The results showed, the grades of students in the experimental class increased from 41.3 to 80.0, the grades of the students  control grade from 46 to 61.3. However, based on statistical results, there are differences in improvements that show higher experimental class upgrades than the control class.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of critical thinking skills of elementary school students. Problem Based Learning (PBL) models with Pre-Learning Reading were chosen as a solution to improve students' critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of critical thinking skills through PBL models with pre-learning reading; knowing the improvement of critical thinking skills through conventional learning; knowing the level of difference in critical thinking between students who study with the PBL model with pre-learning reading and students with conventional learning; knowing students' responses to PBL models with pre-learning reading. The design of this study was quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The instruments used were questions of critical thinking skills and student response questionnaires. The results of the study show that the PBL model with pre-learning reading and conventional learning can improve critical thinking skills, in terms of improving critical thinking skills, PBL models with pre-learning reading are better than conventional learning and students in the experimental class respond positively to use of the Problem-Based Learning model with Pre-Learning Reading.

Abstract

Abstract_This research is motivated by the implementation of anti-corruption character education that has not been written explicitly in the national curriculum, but this does not rule out the possibility that experienced teachers in elementary schools implement anti-corruption character education in hidden curiculum. The purpose of this study is to find out the implementation of anti-corruption character education in elementary school’s learning activities. This study uses a descriptive method with a cross-sectional survey. The sample used in the study is 10% of the total elementary school population. In Paseh sub-district there are 18 elementary schools, and two were selected, namely the Legok I Elementary School and Sukamulya Elementary School. This study examined teachers in the lower grade and high grades. The conclusion of this study is to apply anti-corruption character values by inserting them in learning activities with various learning methods even though not all character values have been applied.

Abstract

IPA merupakan salahsatu proses dalam pembentukan tingkah laku guna mengarahkan siswa agar berkompeten dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan secara proses ilmiah. Oleh karena itu, siswa harus memiliki keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Namun, keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa masih tergolong rendah, sehingga digunakanlah pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis proyek terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Desain penelitian adalah kuasi eksperimen menggunakan nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD se-Kecamatan Kramatmulya. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan SDN II Ragawacana sebagai kelas eksperimen serta SDN Pajambon sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tes berupa tes keterampilan berpikir kreatif serta non tes berupa observasi kinerja guru, observasi aktivitas siswa, catatan lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa secara signifikan, dengan nilai rata-rata gain sebesar 0,329. Sementara pada pembelajaran konvensional, nilai rata-rata gain sebesar 0,150. Sehingga, pembelajaran berbasis proyek lebih baik daripada pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini ada karena rendahnya rasa tanggung jawab dan hasil belajar siswa pada  pelajaran IPS. Oleh karenanya perlu adanya perbaikan melalui penerapan Quick On The Draw untuk meningkatkan karakter tanggungjawab dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah PTK, dengan subjek penelitiannya siswa kelas IV B SDN Panyingkiran III yang berjumlah 28 siswa. Hasil penelitian meningkat setiap siklusnya dengan target keberhasilan hasil belajar 85%, kinerja guru 100%, aktivitas siswa 85j%. Siklus I perencanaan 97%, pelaksanaan 59% aktivitas siswa 64%, hasil belajar siswa 43% tuntas. Siklus II perencanaan 100%, pelaksanaan 84%, aktivitas siswa 71%, hasil belajar siswaj 61% tuntas. Sedangkan siklus III perencanaan 100%, pelaksanaan 100%, aktivitas siswa 90% hasil belajar siswa 86% tuntas. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Quick On The Draw dapat meningkatkan rasa tanggung jawab hasil belajar siswa kelas IVB SDN Panyingkiran III pada pelajaran IPS.

Abstract

Science education atithe elementary level is a subject related to natural phenomena that often occur in real life, in which some problems must be solved in learning. This study aims to see an increase in students' creative thinking abilities after the discovery learning models syapplied to natural event material. The method used in this study is the pre-experimental method with agresearch design using the design of the one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all fifth-grade students of SDN 5 Kersamanah. The sample in this study was class V students. The instruments used were tests and non-tests. Test questions are questions about the test of creative thinking skills, while non-test questions include question aires, interviews, and observation of student activities. The conclusions that can be obtained from this study are the increase in the ability of creative thinking of high group students, middle group students, and low group students, as well as the existence of differences in the increase in creative thinking skills that exist in the three groups.
