Abstract

Sains learning is one of the processes in the formation of student behavior that leads the students to be competent in solving problems in a scientific process. Therefore, students must have creative thinking skills. However, student's creative thinking skills are still relatively low, so that project based learning is used. The purpose of this research is to know implementation of project based learning to creative thinking skills. The reserch design is quasi experiment by using nonequivalent control group design. The population in this research is all of students in grade V on all of Kramatmulya subdistrict. The sampling skills in this research is using purposive sampling technique with SDN II Ragawacana as experimental class and SDN Pajambon as control class. The instrument in this research is using tests in the form of tests of creative thinking skills and non tests in the form of observation of teacher performance, observation of student activities and field notes. Based on the results of the reserch can be know that project based learning has a positive effect on improving student's creative thinking skills significantly, with an average gain of 0,329. While in conventional learning, an average gain of 0,150. So that, the project based learning is better than conventional learning in improving student's creative thinking skills.

Abstract

The background of this research based on Creative Problem Solving (CPS) skill and low student’s self-efficacy. Because CPS skill and student’s self-efficacy is very important, so it needs to step up. The solution to increase both of those goals, the researcher was chosen Situation Based Learning (SBL). This research method used quasi-experimental research with non-equivalent control group design. Sample of this research were students of SDN Karapyak I, which is VB class as the experimental class and VA class as the controlled class. The instrument of this research used CPS test, questionnaires, teacher’s performance observation sheet and student’s activities, and field notes. The results showed that SBL learning had a positive effect on CPS skill and student’s self-efficacy. SBL learning is better than conventional learning towards student’s CPS skill.Both of those learning give the same effect towards student’s self-efficacy , but it is not better effect. There is a positive relationship between CPS skill and student’s self-efficacy.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the increase in mathematical understanding and mahematical  disposition of students who study with the Realistics Mathematics Education (RME) approach with Squarec Smart, compare it to conventional learning, and knowing the relationship between mathematical understanding and disposition. This research used quasi-experimental method with nonequivalent control group design. The population is all class IV in Sumedang Selatan Subdistrict with samples of class IVA (experiment) and IVB (control) in SDN Sukaraja I. The results of this research show that learning with the RME approach assisted by Squarec Smart and convensional learning both increase mathematical understanding and disposition. However, the RME with Squarec Smart significantly improved mathematical understanding and mathematical disposition compared to the conventional approach. In addition, the result show that there is no correlation between mathematical understanding and mathematical disposition.

Abstract

Science process skills are very well developed to support the daily lives of students in order to optimize the science learning that has been learned by students, but students are often difficult to remember the material that has been learned at school. This study aims to determine the effect of inquiry learning models on students' science process skills in long term memory. In this study the method that will be used is the pre-experimental method with the design chosen by one group pretest posttest. The instruments to be used are the question of science process skill and questionnaire. Pretest is done when students are in grade IV and posttest is done when students are in grade VI. The results is obtained the value of the average test different pretest and posttest in the high group using paired t-test, in the medium group using the Wilcoxon test, and in the low group using the t-test paired with p-value (Sig.)0.210 means that p-value α shows no change in students' science skills or still persists in long-term memory of students in the high, medium and low groups with the use of inquiry learning models. then the posttest value in all groups was calculated using the kruskal wallis test, obtained the value of Asymp. Sig 0.172 which means greater than α. This means that there is no difference in improvement or science process skills equally surviving in the long term memory of students in the high, medium and low groups.

Abstract

Measurement is one of the important mathematical concepts. Studying material about “pengukuran panjang” is not easily understood by students. This is evident from the number of learning obstacles experienced by students in learning. One of the obstacles experienced about “pengukuran panjang” can occur because students have low accaptance finding skills. Such problems encourage researchers to minimize learning obstacle students. These efforts are carried out by implementing a didactic design characteristic SBL to overcome learning obstacles in accaptance finding skills regarding “pengukuran panjang” students grade IV. The research method used is DDR. The research began with preliminary study. Furthermore, the didactic design hypothesis to be implemented. The result of the implementation students indicate tendency to a particular response, so that it can produced a revised didactic design implemented for better teaching materials result. Data collection techniques used are through test instrument in of question, participatory observation, interviews, documentation and the combination of all there or triangulation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of problem-based learning to critical thinking of Class V elementary school students on water cycle material. The population of this study was the fifth grade students of the Public Elementary School in Sedong Subdistrict, Cirebon Regency with a total of 21 schools with the research sample of SDN 1 Panongan and SDN 1 Panongan Lor in class V because the design used was quasi-experimental. Based on the results of the study concluded that problem-based learning can improve students' critical thinking on water cycle material significantly; Conventional learning in water cycle material can significantly improve students' critical thinking; and There is a difference in the improvement of students' critical thinking skills in a significant water cycle material between problem-based learning and conventional learning, which occurs because problem-based learning is significantly better with an average gain of 0.323 compared to conventional learning with an average gain of 0.176. Therefore problem-based learning is better than conventional learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Tujuannya adalah untuk memperbaiki permasalahan yang muncul di dalam kelas. Permasalahan tersebut diantaranya kinerja guru perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, dan hasil belajar siswa. Keterampilan yang akan diperbaiki dalam penelitian ini adalah menulis ringkasan melalui penerapan metode 4P Duti Duta. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas lima SDN Pasir I. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kinerja guru perencanaan siklus I 88,88%, siklus II 95,5%, dan siklus III 100%.  Kinerja guru pelaksanaan siklus I 83,33%, siklus II 92,5%, dan siklus III 100%. Aktivitas siswa siklus I 44%, siklus II 60%, dan siklus III 85%. Hasil belajar siswa siklus I 52%, siklus II 72%, dan siklus III 92%. Dengan demikian, penerapan metode 4P Duti Duta dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, dan hasil belajar siswa dalam menulis ringkasan.

Abstract

Pembelajaran sains pada sekolah dasar masih jarang yang mengkaitkan konsep Sains dengan kehidupan nyata atau lingkungan sekitar sehingga pembelajaran menjadi tidak bermakna. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa dengan menggunakan pembelajaran berbasis masalah serta mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan literasi siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain kelompok kontrol tidak ekuivalen. Populasi penelitian berasal dari seluruh siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Palasah, Kabupaten Majalengka. Sampel yang terpilih adalah SDN Waringin II (eksperimen), dan SDN Palasah I (kontrol). Variabel bebas adalah pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan variabel terikat adalah kemampuan literasi sains. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes kemampuan literasi sains, angket, observasi, dan wawancara, Simpulan penelitian yang diperoleh, yaitu : 1) Pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan literasi sains siswa 2) Pembelajaran konvensional dapat meningkatkan literasi sains siswa 3) Pembelajaran berbasis masalah lebih baik dalam meningkatkan literasi sains siswa dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional 4) Terdapat perbedaan secara signifikan literasi sains siswa laki-laki dan perempuan, dengan kemampuan literasi sains perempuan lebih baik dibandingkan siswa laki-laki.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of mathematical connection skills of students, mathematical connection ability is one of the skills that must be possessed by students in learning mathematics. In learning also students need to have self-efficacy to increase self-confidence in learning. Learning by using the connected mathematics project model is one option that can be used to improve students' mathematical connection skills and self-efficacy. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in mathematical connection ability and self-efficacy of students using the connected mathematics project model, to determine the differences in mathematical connection abilities and student self-efficacy in the experimental and control classes, and to determine the relationship between mathematical connection ability and focus-efficacy. The research method in this study is a quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The population used is the 4th grade students of elementary school in Kertasemaya District. While the sample used was the 4th grade students of SDN 1 Tulungagung as the experimental class and Kertasemaya 1 Elementary School as the control class. After conducting research for three meetings, mathematical connection ability and self-efficacy in both classes increased. The increase in mathematical connection ability in the experimental class is better than the control class, while self-efficacy in the control class has improved better than the experimental class. Even though both of them experienced an increase, there was no significant difference between the two classes, between mathematical connection ability and self-efficacy also had no relationship. Thus, it can be seen that the connected mathematics project model and conventional models have a positive influence on students' mathematical connection skills and self-efficacy.

Abstract

Level of elementary school is assumed as the most basic level for beginning doing everything. In a school commonly students just focus on cognitif aspect including ecosystem material. Truthfully, there is afective aspect which can be implemented in ecosystem material as one of scientific attitude in science it is care attitude toward environment through learning based on project in ecosystem material. That;s all, it is elaborated in developing care attitude toward environment to the fifth grade students through learning based on project in ecosystem material. The objective of this study is to know development of care attitude toward environment to the fifth grade students in through learning based on project in ecosystem material. This research uses approach of qualitative research with descriptive method. And the research design that the writer used is qualitative description. The subject of this research is fifth grade students in SDN Cilimbangan, Cimalaka district. Technique of sample is non probability sampling and purposive sampling. The instruments that the writer used are questionnaire of care attitude, list of checklist, and note of field. The conclusion of this research is development of care attitude toward environment to the fifth grade students in SDN Cilimbangan after project-based learning in the ecosystem material shows positive development, both of stable or progressive development.
