Abstract

Tata Letak atau layout dalam sebuah desain adalah suatu kebutuhan dan memberikan dampak yang sangat besar. Bagaimana prinsip layout menurut Tom Lincy, yaitu: proporsi, keseimbangan, kontras, irama dan kesatuan didapatkan dari tipografi, ruang kosong dan warna berdasarkan psikologi warna yang kemudian dicoba untuk dijadikan sebuah kesatuan yang harmoni. Penampilan cover layout memberikan kelas tersendiri yang kemudian dimaknai seragam oleh si pembaca atau penerimanya. Kelas dari majalah Cosmpolitan berada jauh dilevel majalah Aneka Yess, walaupun secara isi sesungguhnya keduanya sama. Kekuatan seni dan desain grafis dituntut dalam pembuatan layout ini, dan inilah yang kemudian harus dijadikan suatu acuan apakah memang ini telah sesuai dengan keinginan dari segmentasi pasar yang dibidik oleh kedua majalah tersebut.

Abstract

This research is focused to know crisis management strategy at Internal Communication and Protocolaire division at PT Krakatau Steel (PT KS) Cilegon in handling a legal dispute case of Kubang Sari land between PT KS and Cilegon city government, to know the implementation program which are done by Internal Communication and Protocolaire division PT KS, and also to criticize the lackness of crisis management system conducted by Internal Communication and Protocolaire division PT KS. This research is qualitative research. The result of the research shows that the strategy which is used in handling the legal dispute crisis of Kubang Sari land uses social recoveryprogram, and law solution. Social recovery program is a short term program that are focused to solve crisis for public, government, Non Government Organization, mass media, and other stakeholders, to eliminate negative thoughts towards company, to acknowledge the problem that really happen, and to return back the companies image in society, through negotiation, compromize, and lobbying. Then, law solution program tent to handle crisis through law systems. From this research, it can be concluded that PT KS managemet crisis is well enough, but there are still many lackness in applying media relation, and PT KS’s public relation doesn’t have crisis plan in the form of manual book to solve sudden crisis.                                                                                                 Keywords: Crisis, Crisis Management, Public Relations

Abstract

The investigation of the E-KTP case that dragged some members of DPR led to the formation of Pansus Hak Angket KPK. Instead of exploring information about the function of eradicating corruption, the formation of Pansus Hak Angket KPK is tend to be political propaganda in improving the image of DPR. This can be seen from how the using of vertical communication channel (especially through the mass media) rather than the horizontal communication channel. Moreover, the initial goal of Pansus Hak Angket KPK is to urge KPK to open a recording of the examination of Miryam Haryani who became a suspect in the case of E-KTP. This research uses qualitative methods to disquss the propaganda of DPR against KPK. With descriptive method, this research is to describe what and how propaganda DPR against KPK. From the various issues raised by Pansus Hak Angket KPK, it is seen how the formation of Pansus is irrelevant, because the existing problems can be solved through working meetings between DPR and KPK. Meanwhile, the communication channels tend to be more done vertically (especially through the mass media) rather than horizontally. In addition, DPR as a political communicator does not have adequate credibility in conducting propaganda against KPK. The public is also more confident of KPK rather than DPR. This research concludes that the formation of Pansus Hak Angket is full of political interests, became a political propaganda to improve the image of DPR and to strike down KPK rather than seeking truth or strengthening KPK. Keywords: Political Propaganda, DPR-RI, Hak Angket, KPK, Combating Corruption.

Abstract

Media cetak memiliki peran sebagai penyampai informasi, pendidikan, hiburan, kontrol sosial dan  lembagai ekonomi. Pada masa sejarah awal media massa, media  lembaga ekonomi tidak menjadi fokus kajian pengamat komunikasi. Karena media hanya dipandang sebagai produk penyampai informasi. Memasuki tahun 1990, dimana media sudah menjadi sebuah industri, faktor ekonomi menjadi kajian khusus. Maka pendekatan ekonomi politik media menjelaskan adanya pertarungan kepentingan ekonomi, politik, dan sosial sebagai bentuk mempertahankan dan meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan. Radar Banten sebagai harian terbesar di Banten dengan oplah 20.000-30 ribu eksemplar berhasil menjadi koran terpercaya, terbesar, dan menjadi rujukan para pengambil keputusan dan masyarakat di Banten. Untuk mengetahui strategi Radar Banten, sebagai pers daerah yang berkembang pesat, dapat menggunakan teori ekonomi politik dengan pendekatan komodifikasi: isi, khalayak, dan sumber daya manusia. Komodifikasi adalah proses transformasi nilai guna menjadi nilai tukar.Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma kritis dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif, metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan studi pustaka dengan objek Radar Banten. Bertujuan mengungkapkan strategi komodifikasi yang ditempuh Radar BantenHasil penelitian menunjukkan studi ekonomi politik kritis yang digunakan Radar Banten varian strukturalis,  dalam memproduksi berita, mencari iklan, dan mendistribusikan  menggunakan  aturan yang telah dibakukan. Manajemen Radar Banten tetap bekerja sesuai kaidah-kaidah pengelolaan sebuah suratkabar yang profesional. Namun semua prosedur yang ditetapkan dalam proses pembuatan berita, harus memiliki nilai guna sehingga dapat mengandung  nilai tukar. Proses seleksi berita, diarahkan agar berita yang disajikan serta kemasan produk harus  menarik dan memiliki nilai jual. Dengan tujuan untuk memenuhi keinginan pemilik modal dan pemasang iklan.

Abstract

This research entitled “The Relationship Between The Use of Suave Magazine and Fulfillment Information Needs of Customers”.The purpose of this research is to know the relationship between the use of Suave magazine consisting of the intensity of use, the contents of the information, the relationships of individual with the media content, and customers needs of information.  With the methods of correlational or eksplanation survey, in this study used the technique of descriptive data analysis and inferential through the hypothesis test of rank Spearman.While to determine the total sample,Slovin formula was used. There are two sources of data in the data collection, that is primary data obtained through poll by means of collecting respondents data magazine Sueve and secondary data obtained through observation and the study of literature.The population of this research is Suave magazine.  The theory of uses and gratifications used as the basic theories in this research used to analyze the use of components and component of media effect.Components include the use of media relations, kind of the contents and relationship with the contents that used as the main research. The component of the use of this media can be lowered into three elements, namely the amount of time used in various media, kind of the content being consumed, and the various relations between the individual consumer media with the content being consumed or with the media overall.  Theresearch results shows that there are significant relationship between the use of information Suave magazine and meeting the needs of customers. The analysis of this research is able to prove that the use of information Suave magazine can meet the needs of customers, this means that the higher the use of Suave magazine, the higher the meeting the needs of customers information.Meeting the needs of customers to improve information, Suave magazine suggested to more innovative in displaying the content of information. Abstract

Televisi sebagai media yang memiliki kelebihan “motion picture”nya menjadi media yang paling dituding berpengaruh terhadap meningkatnya kekerasan yang terjadi. Gambar bergerak menghasilkan imajinasi yang luar biasa dalam benak pemirsanya, apalagi bagi anak-anak. Dengan pikiran anak-anaknya, mereka lebih mudah mengadopsi suatu perilaku dalam kehidupan nyata akibat adanya “modelling” yang ditampilkan televisi. Anak-anak yang melihat tayangan yang kejam akan lebih mungkin untuk menentang, otoriter dan membantah dibanding anak-anak yang tidak menyaksikan tayangan kekerasan. Dari perspektif belajar sosial, anak belajar perilaku dengan meniru apa yang mereka liat dan tayangan kekerasan di media agaknya langsung mengarah ke perilaku mereka

Abstract

The existence of affirmative policy rules applied in 2009 election has been successful to increase the number of women in parliament. Within the scope of Banten Province, the quota for women's political participation is still not fully utilized by Bantenese women, although there is a significant increase in the general election in 2004 with the election in 2009, and placing women in formal political space such as Governor, Mayor, and Vice Regent in the two districts. Furthermore, the implementation of the Regional Regulation About Gender mainstreaming (Bylaw No. 10 of 2005 and regulation No. 39 of 2006 on Guidelines for the Regional Action Plan for Gender Mainstreaming in Banten province) is not strong enough to provide a significant increase in the development of gender-based violence in Banten province, it is seen of IPG and IDG that are still below national standards. These conditions proved that increasing women's political participation in Banten still puts oligarchs at the local level (political family, a network of local elites and the ruling political party affiliation).

Abstract

The study is titled " Virtual Interaction of Teen on Social Media". The purpose of this study was to find out the meaning of Facebook social media for adolescents as a medium of communication in the virtual world, how teenagers express themselves through social media and show the symbol of virtual interacting contemporary teen-age.  The theory in this study is the symbolic interaction with the methodology of virtual ethnography. Techniques of determining informants using snowball technique that is through the recommendation of facebook users among adolescents aged 15-18 Years in Cilegon City. Data collection techniques are done by direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. While virtual ethnographic observations are done online and offline. Online observations of researchers interact with resource persons in social media, offline researchers face to face with sources. Triangulation of sources is used in the technique of data validity. The results of this study's first teenage interpreting Facebook as an entertainment, interaction and media interaction in the virtual world. Second, teenagers can express themselves through the status update activity with slang, upload photos with "contemporary" pose and intensity of interaction by chatting to forget the time, and the dependence of updates in social media facebook.

Abstract

Penelitian yang ini memfokuskan pada perkembangan budaya Korea di Indonesia akibat globalisasi media. Tahun 2010 hingga 2013 penyebaran drama Korea melalui media televisi tidak pelak sangat mempengaruhi masyarakat Indonesia. Pada akhirnya  drama Korea kian menjadi populer di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bisa untuk mendeskripsikan secara luas dan gambang tentang fenomena drama Korea yang berkembang menjadi budaya populer di Indonesia yang kemudian dikenal dengan budaya Hallyu. Hegemoni drama Korea di Indonesia mempengaruhi peningkatan ekonomi dan kunjungan wisata ke Korea. Dampak dari sektor pariwisata meningkatnya kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara yang datang untuk mengunjungi Korea. Semakin popular dan menyebarnya produk-produk khas Korea dari segi elektronik, kuliner, pakaian, peralatan, dan lain-lain. Citra dari Negara tersebut semakin membaik di mata dunia, identitas sudah sudah berhasil mereka sebarkan melalui budaya populernya.

Abstract

Journalism is an activity of gathering news and reporting events. Delivery of news or information in general often also called the press. To protect journalistic activities and freedom of the press, the press council established by law. Press Council as an independent agency to establish guidelines which must be done by any reporter or journalist in writing or delivered the news. Journalistic ethics is a guideline to behave in journalistic activity compiled by journalists, press organizations to be ethical or moral grounding in journalistic activities. The purpose of this study, to find a model settlement of violations of journalistic ethics in the press council. This research method using descriptive analytical research model with normative juridical approach. Collecting data using literature study by collecting data and legal regulations. Besides the interviews to the parties concerned to complete the data. Press Council in resolving violations of journalistic ethics, to maintain the freedom of the press with a mechanism that provides power to the press council to decide a case arising from journalistic activities completed by the press council. Settlement due to journalistic activities outside the press council will shut down and eliminate the freedom of the press as mandated by law. The right model is the removal of press offenses perspective that may affect national press by giving power and authority to the press council to resolve matters arising from journalistic activities.
