Abstract

Teachers are educators who are required to have pedagogical, professional, social, and personality competencies. The role of educational institutions prepares prospective teachers to have these competencies. This paper is a descriptive study involving 25 prospective mathematics teachers who program field experience courses in schools. This course requires a prospective teacher to develop mathematics teaching modules for the high school level. So, the purpose of this study describes the mistakes of prospective mathematics teachers in developing mathematics teaching modules. The data is collected through the documentation by collecting mathematics teaching modules developed by the prospective teachers, and then analyzed based on three components, such are general information, core information, and attachments. The results of this study indicate that the mistakes made by prospective teachers in the general information component happen in determining the model, approach, learning method, diagnostic results, time duration, and meetings assigned. Then, the mistakes in core components happen when prospective teachers determine meaningful understanding, triggering questions, designing assessments, not explaining learning syntax, scientific approach, 21st-century skills, Pancasila student profiles, and differentiation. Furthermore, in the attachment component, the mistakes happen in the development of LKPD which is not yet constructivist and can be done individually, has not developed appropriate learning media, has not been appropriate in developing remedial and enrichment programs, and has not written glossarial in mathematics teaching module. Abstract

One of the concerns in mathematics education currently lies in the lack of use of learning media to support student success in training their mathematical communication skills. Based on these problems, this research aimed to create Student Worksheets using the Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending (CORE) model that are feasible for use (valid and practical) and effective for facilitating students' mathematical communication skills. This research is part of a Research and Development (R & D) type of research which refers to the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). It was administered at State Junior High School 12 Tangerang City, and the research subjects were students in class IX.8 for the 2022/2023 Academic Year with a total of 35 students. Validity data from validation sheets by material and media experts, practicality data from teacher and student response questionnaires, along effectiveness data from mathematical communication skills tests were used for data collection. The percentage validity of material and media experts is 81.1%, and 82.0% with very valid criteria. The practicality percentage of teacher and student response questionnaires was 82.7%, and 75.6% with very practical for teacher response and practical criteria for student response. The student completeness percentage is 78.1%, was declared effective with high criteria, so the student worksheets already facilitates mathematical communication skills. Thus, the student worksheet has been produced is feasible to use and effective in facilitating mathematical communication skills. Abstract

Geographically weighted regression (GWR) is the development of global linear regression for data containing spatial heterogeneity. The model obtained from the geographically weighted regression is different for each location of observation. The purpose of this study is to explain the procedures in geographically weighted regression, apply geographically weighted regression in modeling human development index (HDI) data in Papua in 2019, and identify factors that have a significant effect on HDI in each regency/city in Papua in 2019. Based on the analysis, the following results are obtained, (1) The best model for HDI data in Papua 2019 based on the smallest AIC value is the model with the weighting function fixed Gaussian, (2) Geographically weighted regression is better than multiple linear regression in modeling HDI data in Papua 2019, (3) Variables that significantly influence HDI in Papua 2019 differ in each regency/city where HDI in 25 of 29 regencies/cities is influenced by high school participation rates and per capita expenditure, while HDI in 4 regency/city are influenced by the percentage of the poor population, high school participation rates, and per capita expenditure.

Abstract

Rhythm is one of the basic elements of music. It is formed from a combination of a group of sounds and silences, as well as various timelines and lengths of tempos. One of the rhythm patterns is Ostinato, which is a rhythm pattern that has special characteristics with a sound that is heard repeatedly and takes place regularly throughout the song so that it forms a rhythmic unit. The timeline of rhythmic ostinatos is easy to recognize and remember and plays an important role in music. In addition, it acts as a conductor's function to organize and can give cues to musicians through the fundamental cyclic structure of the pieces of the rhythm. The aim of the research is to examine the results of the rhythm patterns that have been recorded by the electrocardiogram in a schematic diagram, with the given keys divided into sound and silent keys. The Ostinato rhythm pattern is periodic or repeated and then transformed into a circular arc as the seat of the keys. The result of this research is a circle that constitutes a polygon, with the sides being the rhythm timeline between each sound key and the next sound key. Keywords: Ostinato, keys, timeline, polygon

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to develop Canva-assisted Student Worksheets (LKPD) for eighth-grade students at MTsN 5 Padang City, focusing on enhancing their understanding of concepts in relations and functions. The research followed the Plomp model, involving three phases: initial investigation, prototype development, and evaluation. Questionnaires, interviews, and tests were used to measure validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics. The results of the Canva-assisted LKPD development showed high validity, with a content, language, and presentation score of 93.02%. The LKPD also demonstrated practicality, achieving 87.77% and 89.39% scores from students' and teachers' perspectives, respectively. Factors like ease of use, time efficiency, attractiveness, comprehension, and alignment with the curriculum were considered. Additionally, the LKPD was effective, as 87.5% of students scored above the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) in concept comprehension tests. Utilizing Canva in LKPD development successfully created an engaging product that improved students' understanding of mathematical concepts in relations and functions. The data collection method supported these findings, indicating that Canva-assisted LKPD enhances students' comprehension. The test results revealed that 28 out of 32 students (87.5%) achieved scores above the KKM threshold, categorizing them as "highly successful." The validation of Canva-assisted LKPD confirmed high validity in terms of presentation, language, and media aspects.
