Abstract

Business resilience in MSMEs during the COVID-19 pandemic is an important phenomenon to be researched. The purpose of the study was to examine the effect of entrepreneurial characteristics, technology utilization, government support on business resilience mediated by crisis management. This study uses a quantitative approach with the subject of analysis of MSME actors, members of the East Java APUKW in Malang City, totaling 77 business actors. The data analysis technique used WarpPLS 7.0. This study proves that crisis management is supported by the use of technology and the level of business resilience of MSME actors is strongly influenced by crisis management. However, crisis management has not yet become a mediation between entrepreneurial characteristics and government support that has an impact on the resilience of MSME businesses. This phenomenon shows that MSMEs as members of the East Java APUKW have used information technology optimally, so that during the COVID-19 pandemic, their businesses still survive, while entrepreneurial characteristics and government support have not optimally helped their business resilience. In addition, it was found that entrepreneurial characteristics, use of technology and government support contributed to increasing business resilience through crisis management. This research provides a practical contribution to APUKW East Java Malang City to provide training on the use of information technology to make sales online.

Abstract

Marketing is a very crucial aspect in a company directly dealing with consumers. Good marketing management in the company increases optimal purchasing decisions to achieve company goals. To achieve maximum purchasing decisions, it is necessary to pay attention to the importance of brand ambassadors and brand awareness. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the variable brand ambassador, brand awareness on purchasing decisions for Maybelline lipstick products in Sidoarjo Regency. Using purposive sampling technique as the determination of sampling based on standards. SEM partial least square (PLS) system was used as a tool to analyze the data. This study shows that brand ambassadors have an insignificant positive effect on purchasing decisions. Meanwhile, brand awareness has a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Tax revenue is one of the sources of state financing. The achievement of the tax revenue target can be achieved if the taxpayer is obedient in carrying out his tax obligations. This study aims to see the level of compliance of corporate taxpayers with corporate action consisting of merger, consolidation, expansion or takeover of taxpayers' businesses on tax revenues. The research design approach used is descriptive qualitative research, which is research that aims to make a systematic, factual, and accurate description of the facts and characteristics of the research population. The data collection tool used in this research is document study. The results of this study indicate that the level of taxpayer compliance in corporate actions related to mergers, consolidations, expansions or takeovers is still low so that state tax revenues are not optimal.

Abstract

Smart investors will consider several aspects before investing to avoid the worst possibilities including the company's financial performance. This research aims to look at the macroeconomic analysis model, financial performance against share traded with profit as an intervening variable in food and beverage sub-sector companies in the Indonesia stock exchange for the period 2016 - 2020. Macroeconomic variables will be proxyed with indicators of inflation, exchange rates, interest rates and the money supply. Financial performance variables with current ratio indicators, quick ratio (proxy of liquidity), debt to assets ratio, debt to equity ratio (proxy of solvency), total assets turnover, fixed assets turnover and inventory turnover (proxy of activity), return on asset, return on equity, net profit margin, gross profit margin and operating profit margin (proxy of profitability) and earnings per share,  price earning ratio and price book value (proxy of market value). The investment approach can also be done by analyzing historical data from stock prices and linking it to share traded that occurs in the market. The research will use profit as an intervening variable, consisting of gross profit, operating profit and net profit. The company has different performance with significant differences in the food and baverages sub-sector, will affect the amount of sales and profits earned by the company. This research data uses secondary data published by relevant and competent parties. This study uses a component-based SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) analysis or variance, namely Partial Least Square (PLS), using Smart PLS 3.0 software. The results showed 1) macroeconomic variables had no effect on financial performance. 2) Macroeconomic variables have no effect on profits. 3) Macroeconomic variables have no effect on share traded. 4) Financial performance variables affect profits. 5) Financial performance variables affect share traded.  6) The profit variable affects the traded share.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of product rating, promotion, and COD (cash on delivery) service on purchasing decisions at the Shopee marketplace in Sidoarjo. Respondents in this study are consumers who have shopped at the Shopee marketplace who are domiciled in Sidoarjo, with a sample of 80 people. Sampling in this study using non-probability sampling with purposive sampling technique. The data pocessing used PLS (Partial Least Square) with the help of the SmartPLS 3.0 application. Based on the test, the result and conclusions were found that product rating, promotion, and COD service have a positive and significant effect on purchase decision at the Shopee marketplace in Sidoarjo.

Abstract

In running a company, funding is needed for all company activities. Funding decisions have a very important role in the survival of a company. There are two sources of funding in the company, namely internal and external sources. Internal sources are retained earnings and external sources are debt and issued shares. Company’s manager must consider which sources would have the best result on the company. The analytical technique used in this research is a comparative descriptive analysis technique. Primary datas were collected through interviews and observations while secondary data were obtained from literatures related to the research topic. Asset structure, business risk, tax, liquidity and funding decisions are used as research objects. The results shows that asset structure, risk and liquidity had no effect on funding decisions at Kawi company. Taxes had an effect on funding decisions at Kawi company. Asset structure, business risk, tax and liquidity together have no effect on funding decisions at Kawi company.

Abstract

Cimory is a well-known yogurt brand in Indonesia, consumed by various groups, making this yogurt brand the main choice when consuming yogurt. This is evidenced by the Top Brand Award Indonesia 2020 in the fermented milk category, Cimory brand ranks first with an index of 69.6%, followed by Heavenly Blush brand in second place with an index of 13.9%, and 10.4% for Nutriboost. This study aims to determine the effect of brand image on Cimory yogurt purchasing decisions by applying 4 dimensions of brand image, namely brand identity, brand personality, brand association, and brand benefit and competence. The population in this study was 266 families in the coverage area at Alfamart Mekar Wangi and the sample was taken based on calculations using the slovin formula, namely, 73 respondents answered a questionnaire with 21 questions. The results of the study prove that the brand image variable has a significant influence on purchasing decisions with a value on hypothesis testing of 14.621 > t table 1.994. Output R Square of 75.1% (0.751) the data shows that purchasing decisions are influenced by brand image while the remaining 24.9% is on other variables not tested in this study.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of local taxes and local retribution on economic growth, using local own-source revenue as an intervening variable in Sidoarjo Regency in 2016-2021. This type of research is quantitative. The data used is secondary data with data collection techniques using documentation techniques. The sample selection method in this study used the saturated sampling method. The data analysis technique used in this research is to use SmartPLS 3.0. The result of this research is that local taxes and local retribution have no effect on economic growth. local taxes and local retribution have an effect on local own-source revenue. Local own-source revenue has an effect on economic growth. Local own-source revenue cannot mediate the effect of local taxes and local retribution on economic growth

Abstract

This research purposes are to analyze the score results of the Altman Z-Score bankruptcy prediction model, Zmijewski model, Springate model and Grover model towards companies that are listed in the BEI Delisting Year 2018. Also to find out which bankruptcy prediction models that have the highest accuracy among the four the bankruptcy prediction model. The sample used in this research are companies that are listed in the BEI Delisting Year 2018 which are as many as 4 companies. Calculations are made on the financial statements of the last 4 years of each company from 2014 to 2017. The results of the research indicate that the Springate bankruptcy prediction model is a bankruptcy prediction model that has the highest level of accuracy of 100%.
