Abstract

The increasing population in Indonesia has also had an impact on the increase in the number of workers. Increasing the number of workers without being followed by the availability of labor will cause unemployment problems, and increasing unemployment will have an impact on reducing economic growth and inhibiting development. This study aims to determine what factors can affect employment in the Pati Residency. This observation uses a panel data regression analysis using data obtained through the official BPS website. The results of the analysis of this study explain that the Gross Regional Domestic Product has a negative and significant effect on employment in the Pati Residency in 2017-2021.

Abstract

The development of technology and the internet has made companies increasingly use platforms to execute their marketing strategies. One platform that is currently popularly used by the beauty industry is TikTok. Emina is one of the brands that is often seen on this platform. This study aims to analyze the antecedents of information adoption and its effect on purchase intention of Emina products. The method used is a quantitative method with the SEM model. The number of samples in this study were 221 respondents. The data analyzed is primary data collected using a questionnaire and processed using LISREL 8.8 software. There are five hypotheses in this study, the results showed that information adoption affects purchase intention.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the recruitment process and competencies regarding the performance of PT employees. Bumi Mineral Sulawesi, Luwu Regency, this research was carried out from January 5 - January 13 2023. Sample determination used the Slovin formula which obtained 50 samples to represent 1000 populations. The method in this research uses the causality method with a qualitative approach, data collection analysis in this research uses primary data by distributing questionnaires to respondents, data processing in this research is assisted by the SPSS version 22 application. The results of partial statistical calculations for the recruitment process variables can be seen that the value sig 0.000 < 0.05 and t-count > and t-table value, namely -0.2770> 2.012; meaning that the recruitment process has a negative effect on the performance of PT employees. Bumi Mineral Sulawesi, Luwu Regency, and for the competency variable, it shows that the sig value is 0.225>0.05 and the t-count is > the t-table value, namely 1.152<2.012, meaning it has no positive effect on PT's performance. Sulawesi Mineral Earth, Luwu Regency. Testing the influence of the independent variables simultaneously using the F test obtained a sig value of 0.028 <0.05 F-count of 3.842 > F-table of 3.19. So it can be concluded that the recruitment process has a partial negative effect on employee performance, the Competency variable has no partial effect. Meanwhile, the recruitment process and competency simultaneously influence the performance of PT employees. Sulawesi Mineral Earth, Luwu Regency.

Abstract

This very valuable company asset has a vital function in increasing the quality of service and the quality of agency work in maintaining consumer loyalty to keep shopping at the company. This study aims to understand the impact of product quality and service quality on purchasing decisions. The type of study used is quantitative through the use of Lemeshow sampling technique. The application used to help process the data in this research is SPSS version 25, while the sample in this study is 384 respondents. To collect data carried out by distributing questionnaires. The results of statistical tests can be determined if the variables of product quality, service quality, and purchasing decisions are normally distributed, in which the independent variables in this study show no signs of multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity. The results of the t test show that the product quality and service quality variables have a good and significant impact on purchasing decisions, and the f test results show that the product and service quality variables have a simultaneous impact on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The share price is the prevailing price on the stock exchange at a certain time. The findings from this study will help to ascertain whether Profitability, Liquidity, Solvency can contribute to the Stock Price of the Building Construction industry sub-sector on the Stock Exchange. There were 19 industries selected by applying purposive sampling technique. The findings of the study will be tested coming from secondary information, particularly the annual financial reports of the Indonesia Stock Exchange and panel information. Data analysis methods to validate hypothesis data include descriptive testing, classical assumption testing, and hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression analysis with the SPSS v25 program. The study findings prove (1) Profitability using a net profit margin proxy or net profit margin does not contribute to the building construction industry stock price on the Indonesia Stock Exchange; (2) Liquidity by proxy current ratio or current ratio cannot contribute to the building construction industry stock price on the Indonesia Stock Exchange; (3) Solvability by proxy debt to equity ratio or debt to equity ratio contributes to the share price of the building construction industry on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company that operates in the field of breeding chicken broilers produce products every day. In the production process of corn that is needed in the production of livestock feed this often experiences conditions of overstock and stock-out. This research aims to conduct control of the supply of raw materials for livestock feed in PT. XYZ by comparing the company method with the continuous review (Q) back order method and periodic review (P) back orders method so that the total cost of inventory is minimal. Based on the calculation with the company method obtained the total cost of inventory of Rp 60.220.905.000,- and the total minimum cost of stock obtainable by using the continuous review (Q) back order method of Rs 60.030.457.600. The forecast for corn demand from January 2023 to December 2023 was 12,900 tons. The company made the order amount of 685 Tons and reorder point of 106 Tons, so the total cost of inventory was Rp 60.698.546.500,-.

Abstract

In the current era, cases of accounting fraud in companies in Batam City occur repeatedly. Many mass media are reporting on this so that for the public, the case of accounting fraud tendency does not seem to be an open secret anymore. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of internal control on accounting fraud factors in companies in Batam City. The analytical methods used in this study are quantitative analysis and use descriptive statistical tests, validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression tests, and hypothesis tests. Taking samples using the purposive sampling method, researchers collected primary data using questionnaires given to accounting staff at companies in Batam City with a total sample of 122 respondents. The results showed that the effectiveness of internal control affects the tendency of accounting fraud with a sig value of 0.007>0.05; Observance of Accounting Rules and Unethical Behavior affects the Tendency of Accounting Fraud with a sig value of 0.001<0.05; The suitability of compensation simultaneously affects the Tendency of Accounting Fraud with a sig value of 0.010<0.05. The value of the coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.720 or 72%, while the remaining 28% is explained by variations in other variables that are not present in this study model.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of promotion strategy, product sales, store design and service excellence on competitive advantage in traditional and modern retail. The research method is explanation (explanation) with a quantitative approach. The research conducted in this study used a survey that collected information using a questionnaire through the Google form. The analytical method uses Partial Least Square (PLS). The basic population of this research is traditional and modern retail customers. In this study, non-probability sampling was used as the sampling method. The samples obtained in this study were 96 respondents. The results of the study show that the variable promotion strategy and excellent service have a positive effect on competitive advantage. Retail product variables and business layout do not affect competitive advantage. The higher the retail store implements promotional strategies and excellent service, the greater its competitive advantage, but the higher product differentiation and business layout of the retail store does not increase competitive advantage.

Abstract

Boss-subordinate (guanxi) relations in the organization are important in encouraging and increasing productivity. The involvement of these relationships in the company creates a good improvement and development of workers. Motivation and job satisfaction are things that influenced by good guanxi relations. This study aims to identify employee performance from superior-subordinate relationships (guanxi) on motivation, worker satisfaction with the moderation effect of Islamic work ethic. This study used purposive sampling as a method involving 210 workers from office employees in a multinational manufacturing industry in Indonesia. Data is tested with SEM (Structural Equation Model) as the method and data analysis using Smart PLS 3 (Partial Least Square) as the software. The study shows superior-subordinates (guanxi) have a significant direct and positive effect on motivation and job satisfaction. Furthermore, motivation and job satisfaction have a significant direct positive effect on employee performance. While the moderation effect of Islamic work ethic has no impact or has no influence on motivation to job satisfaction. improving superior-subordinate relations (guanxi) in the company, may impact the motivation, job satisfaction, and employee performance.

Abstract

Intense competition among universities for new student enrollments has created a strong need for significant differentiation. This article introduces the concept of strategic brand management as a way to distinguish open distance education (in this case, Open University) and discusses how they strategically manage their brand through the higher education marketing mix (namely, prominence, prospectus, program, cost, staff, incentives, and promotion). Using a closed-ended survey and PLS-SEM modeling from a sample of management students, the research finds that utilitarian elements (namely, prominence, prospectus, program, and cost) in the higher education marketing mix have a direct positive impact on the university brand. However, hedonic elements (namely, staff, incentives, and promotion) in the higher education marketing mix do not have a significant impact. Implications of these findings for theory, practice, and future research directions are concluded.
