BAREKENG: Jurnal ilmu Matematika dan Terapan is one of the scientific publication media, which publish the article related to the result of research or study in the field of Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. Focus and scope of BAREKENG: Jurnal ilmu Matematika dan Terapan, as follows: - Pure Mathematics (analysis, algebra & number theory), - Applied Mathematics (Fuzzy, Artificial Neural Network, Mathematics Modeling & Simulation, Control & Optimization, Ethno-mathematics, etc.), - Statistics, - Actuarial Science, - Logic, - Geometry & Topology, - Numerical Analysis, - Mathematic Computation and - Mathematics Education. The meaning word of "BAREKENG" is one of the words from Moluccas language which means "Counting" or "Calculating". Counting is one of the main and fundamental activities in the field of Mathematics. Therefore we tried to promote the word "Barekeng" as the name of our scientific journal also to promote the culture of the Maluku Area. BAREKENG: Jurnal ilmu Matematika dan Terapan is published four (4) times a year in March, June, September and December, since 2020 and each issue consists of 15 articles. The first published since 2007 in printed version (p-ISSN: 1978-7227) and then in 2018 BAREKENG journal has published in online version (e-ISSN: 2615-3017) on website: (https://ojs3.unpatti.ac.id/index.php/barekeng/). This journal system is currently using OJS3.1.1.4 from PKP. BAREKENG: Jurnal ilmu Matematika dan Terapan has been nationally accredited at Level 3 (SINTA 3) since December 2018, based on the Direktur Jenderal Penguatan Riset dan Pengembangan, Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi, Republik Indonesia, with Decree No. : 34 / E / KPT / 2018. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the status of student scholarships (get or not get a scholarship) using ordinal logistic regression analysis. The subjects involved were 100 students at Mataram University. The data used in this study are primary data collected using the Google Form online survey sheet. The research variable is the status of student scholarships as a response variable and entry path to state universities, the type of parent's occupation, the status of the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) as its predictor variable. Each variable is divided into several categories on an ordinal scale, so that ordinal logistic regression is a solution in explaining the relationship between these variables. The results showed that the factors influencing the status of student scholarships were college entry channels and the type of parent's occupation. The relationship of these three variables is given by one logit model.

Abstract

The government expects practicality in using the budget, especially in conducting testing. With the development of technology in the revolutionary era 4.0, the government was able to reduce the budget for conducting tests, namely by using technology. This study aims to develop an android-based test instrument on the appropriate material for trigonometric formulas for class XI SMA. This type of research is Research and Development by applying the Borg and Gall model. This study involved 32 students of class XI MIPA 4 at SMAN 2 Tanjungpinang. The data analysis technique used was content validity and item analysis. The results obtained were 98.9% categorized as very valid by material experts and 100% categorized as very valid by mDevelopmentedia experts and the results of the item analysis showed valid and reliable, the level of difficulty of the test instrument was 68% categorized as moderate, and the distinguishing power of the test instrument was 59% categorized as good.

Abstract

Backpropagation Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is an ANN that uses a supervised learning algorithm. The purpose of this study is to determine the parameters and measure the accuracy of the classification accuracy of the student status of the Open University Statistics Study Program. Based on the results, the simulation obtained 15 parameters that can affect student status, including gender, age, education (Senior High School, Diploma, Bachelor, and Magister), marital status, employment status (not working, private employees, entrepreneurs, and civil servants), initial registration year, registration number, semester credit system, and GPA). Meanwhile, for the classification accuracy, the activation function and the learning rate are used minimum mean square of error (MST) on training data. The simulation results are also applied to the testing data with a cut-off point value of 0.3481, so the accuracy of the ROC curve is obtained in the training data for not active students is 99.43% and 99.14% active, while the testing data for not active students is 94.00%. and active 93.94%. So from this research, it can be concluded that ANN Backpropagation is a very good method in applying the classification method.

Abstract

One effort to get teachers who are competent in their fields is to conduct a teacher recruitment process based on four teacher competencies, namely personal, social, pedagogic, and professional competencies. However, the obstacle of the teacher recruitment process that often done is the subjectivity of decision-making. One way to overcome subjectivity in teacher recruitment is by using tahani fuzzy logic. For this reason, this study aims to determine the implementation of tahani fuzzy logic in the supporting system of decision making for teacher admissions based on the results of the four teacher competency tests. This research consists of three stages. The first stage is determining the function of the degree of membership from the value of personal, social, pedagogical, and professional competencies. The second step is designing the tahani fuzzification program using Microsoft Excel. The third stage is implementing the fuzzy tahani program that successfully created for the decision to make admissions. The results showed that teacher acceptance decision making using tahani fuzzy logic was better than just using an average value. Because tahani fuzzy logic considers various criteria, while the average only considers one criterion that has a high value.

Abstract

Decision tree is a algorithm used as a reasoning procedure to get answers from problems are entered. Many methods can be used in decision trees, including the C5.0 algorithm and Classification and Regression Tree (CART). This research aims to determine the classification results of the C5.0 and CART algorithms and to determine the comparison of the accuracy classification results from these two methods. The variables used in this research are the average monthly income (Y), employment (X1), number of family members (X2), last education (X3) and gender (X4). After analyzing the results obtained that the accuracy rate of C5.0 algorithm is 79,17% while the accuracy rate of CART is 84,63%. So it can be said that the CART method is a better method in classifying the average income of the people of Teluk Baru Village in Muara Ancalong District in 2019 compared to the C5.0 algorithm method

Abstract

The tendency of increasing industrial and population activities in the city of Bandung causes a decrease in air quality. One material that causes air pollution which is very dangerous for health is particulate matter 2.5 (PM2.5). Efforts to control and overcome PM2.5 concentration are carried out through measurements in several locations. However, due to limitations of measuring devices and costs, so not all locations in the city of Bandung can be measured PM2.5 concentration. PM2.5 concentration data tends not to be stationary. Therefore it is necessary to interpolate the PM2.5 concentration data using the Universal Kriging method. In this paper, the Universal Kriging method can be applied to predict PM2.5 concentrations in locations that are not sampled because the observed PM2.5 concentration data are spatial data that have different PM2.5 concentrations at each location. Data were analyzed with the help of software R 3.5.3 and ArcGIS 10.4 to create contour maps. Based on the prediction results of PM2.5 concentrations at locations that were not sampled, obtained a first order trend equation is better used to predict PM2.5 concentrations because it has a minimum Universal Kriging error variance value compared to the second order trend equation. The results showed that the location with high PM2.5 concentration was in the northwest of Bandung City. Contour maps show locations that have low to high PM2.5 concentrations

Abstract

This article is included in the scope of mathematical epidemiology. The purpose of this article is to describe the dynamics of the spread of disease with some assumptions given. In this paper, we present an epidemic SVIR model with the presence of immigration in the vaccine compartment. The analysis of equilibrium point stability discussed only local stability. First, we formulate the SVIR model, then the equilibrium point is determined, furthermore, the basic reproduction number is determined. In the end, the stability of the equilibrium point is determined depending on the number of basic reproduction. The result is that if the basic reproduction number is less than one then there is a unique equilibrium point and the equilibrium point is locally asymptotically stable. This means that in those conditions the disease will tend to disappear in the population. Conversely, if the basic reproduction number is more than one, then there are two equilibrium points. The endemic equilibrium point is locally asymptotically stable and the disease-free equilibrium point is unstable. This means that in those conditions the disease will remain in the population

Abstract

Quantile regression as a robust regression method can be used to overcome the impact of unusual cases on regression estimates such as the presence of potential outliers in the data. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of quantile regression in dealing with potential outliers in multiple linear regression compared to ordinary least square (OLS). This study used simulation data in multiple regression model with the number of independent variables (p=3) for different sample sizes (n = 20, 40, 60, 100, 200) and and repeated 1000 times. The effectiveness of the quantile regression method and OLS in estimating β parameters was measured by Mean square error (MSE) and the best model is chosen based on the smallest Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) value. The results showed that in contrast to OLS, quantile regression was able to deal with potential outliers and provided a better estimator with a smaller mean mean square error. Compared to OLS and other quantiles, this study also provides sufficient results that quantile 0.5 provides the best parameter estimate and the best model based on the smallest MSE and AIC values.

Abstract

Mathematical models that describes the pattern of cell formation in hydra are expressed in a system of equations known as the Meinhardt model. This model is a continuous model in the form of diffusion equations. Thus, one of the studies which can be applied to Meinhardt equation is discretization. The finite difference model is a numerical method that can describe the discrete form of a continuous differential form. The method used in this study is finite different methods implementing explicit scheme. The advantage of the explicit scheme is easier to use for solving non-linear partial differential equations. This method used finite forward difference for derivatives of 𝑡 and finite centre difference for derivatives of 𝑥 at theactivator 𝑎(𝑥, 𝑡) and inhibitor 𝑏(𝑥, 𝑡). The Steps conducted by analyzing Meinhardt equation andcontinued with discretization such that earn the solution of system cell formation in hydra. According to the research its found that the activator cell population graphic have cell growth disposed ascend by the unit time, be different with the inhibitor cell population disposed descend of cell growth by the unit time.

Abstract

Stillbirth merupakan kematian fetus setelah usia gestasi 20 minggu dan sebelum persalinan, tanpa adanya tanda kehidupan setelah lahir. Permasalahan bayi lahir dalam keadaan meninggal merupakan problem yang masih menjadi tugas bagi pemerintah dan perlu perhatian secara khusus untuk diselesaikan. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk meninjau faktor penyebab yang paling dominan secara signifikan terhadap kematian bayi, khususnya terkait permasalahan stillbirth pada Puskesmas yang terletak pada pusat kota Aceh Timur.Data yang akan dianalisis merupakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari puskesmas Idi Rayeuk dan dinas kesehatan kabupaten Aceh Timur. Pada penelitian ini, penulis akan menganalisa faktor-faktor yang signifikan serta berpengaruh terhadap stillbirth dengan menggunakan anilisis regresi logistik biner. Respon pada kasus ini bersifat biner yaitu hidup dan mati. Metode regresi logistik digunakan untuk memodelkan variabel respon serta mencari hubungan antara variabel respon dengan variabel prediktor. Model regresi logistik binner untuk menggambarkan hubungan antara stillbirth pada ibu hamil dengan infeksi kehamilan, cacat bawaan, kondisi kesehatan ibu, dan usia ibu adalah . Berdasarkan model regresi logistik biner, dapat dinyatakan bahwa dari empat variabel bebas yang di analisis untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap kejadian stillbirth pada ibu hamil, menghasilkan bahwa variabel infeksi selama kehamilan yang paling mempengaruhi terjadinya stillbirth pada ibu hamil yang sampelnya diperoleh dari puskesmas Idi Rayeuk dan dinas kesehatan kabupaten Aceh Timur. Ibu yang mengalami infeksi kehamilan 2 kali lebih berpengaruh dibandingkan dengan ibu yang tidak mengalami infeksi kehamilan terhadap kejadian stillbirth pada ibu hamil.
