Abstract

Heap is defined to be a non-empty set with ternary operation satisfying associativity, that is for every and satisfying Mal’cev identity, that is for all . There is a connection between heaps and groups. From a given heap, we can construct some groups and vice versa. The binary operation of groups can be built by choosing any fixed element of heap and is defined by =[x,e,y] for any . Otherwise, for given a binary operation of group , we can make a ternary operation defined by for every On heaps, there are some notions which are inspired by groups, such as sub-heaps, normal sub-heaps, quotient heaps, and heap morphisms. On this study, we will associate sub-heaps and corresponding subgroups and discuss some properties of heap morphisms.

Abstract

Let G be an undirected, connected, and simple graph with edges set E(G)and vertex set V(G). An edge irregular reflexive k-labeling f is one in which the label for each edge is an integer number {1,2,…, k_e} and the label for each vertex is an even integer number {0,2,4,…,2k_v}, k = max{ k_e,2k_v}. This type of labeling results in distinct weights for each edge. The weight of an edge xy in a graph G with labeling f, indicated by wt (xy), is the total of the labels on the vertex that are incident to the edge as well as the edge label. The minimum value k of the largest label in the graph G is referred to as res (G), which stands for the reflexive edge strength of the graph G. The topic of edge irregular reflexive k-labeling for mongolian tent graph (M_(m,n)) and double quadrilateral snake graph (D(Q_n )) will be discussed in this paper. The res (M_(m,n)),m≥2,n=3 has been obtained that is ⌈(5m-1)/3⌉ for 5m-1≢2,3 (mod 6) and ⌈(5m-1)/3⌉+1 for 5m-1≡2,3 (mod 6). Also the res (D(Q_n )),n≥2 has been obtained that is ⌈(7n-7)/3⌉ for 7n-7≢2,3 (mod 6) and ⌈(5m-1)/3⌉+1 for 7n-7≡2,3 (mod 6).

Abstract

Let G in this paper be a connected and simple graph with set V(G) which is called a vertex and E(G) which is called an edge. The edge irregular reflexive k-labeling f on G consist of integers {1,2,3,...,k_e} as edge labels and even integers {0,2,4,...,2k_v} as the label of vertices, k=max{k_e,2k_v}, all edge weights are different. The weight of an edge xy in G represented by wt(xy) is defined as wt(xy)= f (x)+ f (xy)+ f (y). The smallest k of graph G has an edge irregular reflexive k-labeling is called the reflexive edge strength, symbolized by res (G). In article, we discuss about edge irregular reflexive k-labeling of alternate triangular snake A(T_n ) and the double alternate quadrilateral snake DA(Q_n ). In this paper, the res of alternate triangular snake A(T_n ) , n≥3 has been obtained. That is ⌈(2n-1)/3⌉ for n even,2n-1≢2,3 (mod 6),⌈(2n-1)/3⌉+1 for n even,2n-1=2,3 (mod 6),⌈(2n-2)/3⌉ for n odd,2n-2≢2,3 (mod 6), and ⌈(2n-2)/3⌉+1 for n odd,2n-2=2,3 (mod 6). Then, the reflexive edge strength of double alternate quadrilateral snake DA (Q_n) ⌈ (4n-1 )/3⌉for n even, 4n - 1 ≠2,3 (mod 6), ⌈ (4n-1 )/3⌉+1 for n even, 4n - 1 = 2,3 (mod 6), ⌈ (4n-4)/3⌉ for n odd, 4n - 4 ≠2,3 (mod 6), and ⌈ (4n-4 )/3⌉+1 for n odd, 4n - 4 = 2,3 (mod 6).

Abstract

A call option is a type of option that grants the option holder the right to buy an asset at a specified price within a specified period of time. Determining the option price period of time within a certain period of time is the most important part of determining an investment strategy. Various methods can be employed to determine the prices of options, such as Quasi-Monte Carlo and Monte Carlo simulations. The purpose of this research is to determine the price of European-type call options using the Quasi-Monte Carlo method. The data used is daily stock closing price data on the Apple Inc. for the period October 1, 2021, to September 30, 2022. Apple Inc. stock options in this study were chosen because it is the largest technology company in the world in 2022. The steps taken in this study are to determine the parameters obtained from historical data such as the initial risk-free interest rate (r), stock price (, volatility , maturity time (T), and strike price (K). Next is to generate Halton’s quasi-randomized sequence and simulate the stock price by substituting the parameters by substituting the parameters. Then proceed to calculate the call option payoff and estimate the call option price by averaging the call option payoff values. The results showed that the call option price of the company Apple Inc. using the Quasi-Monte Carlo with Halton’s quasi-randomized sequence on the 1000000th simulation with a standard error of 0,045 is $90,163. The call option price obtained can be used as a reference for investors in purchasing options to minimize losses from call option investments in that period.

Abstract

The presence of weeds can affect the productivity of coffee plants. The use of herbicides that are not wise in controlling weeds can have a negative impact on the quality of coffee production and land. This study aims to obtain a binary logistic regression model of the use of reductant herbicides by coffee farmers in Pagaralam South Sumatera. This research involved 165 coffee farmers, consisting of 81 farmers who used reductants and 85 farmers who did not use reductants. In the results of bivariate analysis, variables that have a significant effect on the status of using reductant herbicides, do not necessarily have a significant effect on the logistic regression model. Overall prediction accuracy of the model results of the enter method and backward method are respectively 78.2% and 76.4%. The two best models obtained show that farmer age, number of trees, number of family workers, and land productivity can reduce the probability value of farmers using reductant herbicide. On the other hand, variables that can increase the opportunity value of using reductants, starting with the greatest effect, are net income, length of harvest, frequency of herbicide use, frequency of use of organic fertilizers, and age of trees. Based on the factors that affect the use of reductants, coffee farmers should set aside costs for land maintenance, including costs for environmentally friendly weed control, so that they can support the coffee plants to continue producing optimally.

Abstract

The spline regression model is a nonparametric model and it is applied to data that do not have a certain curve shape and do not have information about it. In this study, the results of the analysis of the B-Spline regression model and the Spline Truncated model were compared on temperature data at several stations on Java Island to obtain the best model that can be used to forecast the temperature for the next few days. Daily temperature data were obtained from BMKG at Semarang, Juanda, Serang, Sleman, Bandung, and Kemayoran stations. The temperature data were modeled with the B-Spline and Spline Truncated regression using the optimal knot point of the GCV, and the best model was obtained. The analysis shows that the B-Spline regression models are better than the truncated Spline models with a fairly small MSE value and a greater coefficient of determination than the truncated Spline model.

Abstract

The increase in transportation activities is the leading cause of the emergence of the air pollution risk, which harms public health. especially in big cities. Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) gas is one of the critical factors explaining air pollution. NO2 contributes to particle pollution and acid deposits and is a precursor of ozone, the leading cause of photochemical smog. Meanwhile, Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) is another substance that is a source of pollutants and can cause acid rain and aerosolized sulfate particle pollution. Therefore, it is necessary to estimate the concentration of pollutants, especially NO2. One method that can be used in this estimation is Cokriging, which considers secondary variables to record primary variables. Based on the results obtained, the Cokriging analysis shows that the estimation of NO2 content in the five predicted areas, namely Tanjung Priok, Johar Baru, Gelora Bung Karno, Pancoran, Halim Perdanakusuma, has a quality standard value below 80 µppm (quality standard value set by the BMKG). In summary, the research unveils variations in SO2 and NO2 levels across distinct regions in Jakarta, with Monas recording the highest SO2 levels (10 μppm), while Grogol exhibits the lowest NO2 levels (16 μppm). The average SO2 level among all surveyed areas is 5.875 μppm, while NO2 averages 17.375 μppm. These findings emphasize the pressing need to implement measures aimed at preserving air quality within the limits established by government standards. Additionally, Cokriging estimates reveal that the content of NO2 in Tanjung Priok, a coastal area, significantly deviates from estimations in other Jakarta areas and ranks as the highest among the locations studied, with GBK displaying the lowest content.

Abstract

The Weibull-Poisson distribution represents a continuous distribution type applicable to various forms of hazard, including monotone up, monotone down, and upside-down bathtub shapes that ascend. The distribution characterizes lifetimes and can effectively model failures within a series of systems, which evolves from the Exponential-Poisson distribution. This distribution emerges through the compounding of the Weibull Distribution and Zero Truncated Poisson Distribution. The compounding itself integrates several mathematical properties, such as statistical order and Taylor’s number expansion, to reach its final form. Alongside the formulation of the Weibull-Poisson distribution, this paper includes the probability density function, distribution function, rth moment, rth central moment, mean, and variance. For illustration, the Weibull-Poisson distribution is applied to guinea pig survival data after being infected with Turblece virus Bacilli.

Abstract

The commutation matrix is a matrix that transforms any vec matrix , to vec transpose . In this article, three definitions of the commutation matrix are presented in different ways. It is shown that these three definitions are equivalent. Proof of the equivalent uses the properties in the Kronecker product on the matrix. We also gave the example of the commutation matrix using three ways as Moreover, in this study, we investigate the properties of the commutation matrix related to its transpose and the relation between the vec matrix and the vec transpose matrix using the commutation matrix. We have that the transpose and the inverse of the commutation matrix is its transpose.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is a disease which is very contagious among human. To prevent this from happening, Semarang city government has enacted vaccination for exposed individuals and treatment for the infected individuals. Vaccination and treatment are forms of control that will be applied to dynamic model systems of Tuberculosis. The present paper will describe epidemic model of Tuberculosis with control using Pontryagin Minimum Principle to find optimal solution of the control with fixed time and free end point. The optimal control will aim to reduce or minimize the number of infected populations. Numerical calculation is carried out with MATLAB software programming to illustrate and compare the graph of the dynamic model with and without optimal control. The results of dynamic modeling of Tuberculosis with control state that vaccination and treatment have succeeded in reducing the population of infected individuals.
