Abstract

Low safety factor in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in handling grenades that fail to explode at the training location can be fatal for personnel and instructors. In a previous study, a stick manipulator was designed. However, this tool has disadvantages because the operator is too close to explosives. By considering the security of personnel, the authors make "Design Robot Manipulator Build on Unmanned Grenade Tamer (UGT)". This tool is used to assist trainers and instructors in the implementation of laying explosives as a procedure for handling grenades that do not explode properly in position. The mechanism of this tool is made to complement the base tank that is driven by a robot remote control system that moves using a servo motor as an actuator. The total length of the horizontal arm stretch is 780 mm and 795 mm for the vertical stretch. Arm foundation is designed capable of rotating as far as 120⁰. Link 1 moves 150 °, link 2 150 °, Link 3 1801, and wrist roll 90 °. The force acting on link 1 is 16.758N in the direction of the y-axis parallel force, torque is 5.5 Nm and with an angular acceleration of 142rad / s². On the link 2 force of 16.66N, the direction of the force is parallel to the y axis, torque of 9.4 Nm and angular acceleration of 496rad / s². And on the 3 link force of 14.7N of torque of 3.3 Nm and angular acceleration of 293rad / s². Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACT Lapetal is an organization within the Indonesian Navy that is tasked with carrying out Navy recruitment. With the increasing number of duties and responsibilities of Lapetal and seeing the current condition of Lapetal, it is necessary to make efforts to develop Lapetal in the future. The purpose of this research is to identify the factors that influence in determining the Lapetal development strategy, determine the alternative strategy for Lapetal development, and produce a roadmap of the selected alternative strategies for Lapetal development. This study uses an integrated SWOT analysis and Interpretative Structural Modeling. SWOT analysis is used to formulate and provide alternatives in Lapetal development strategies. ISM is used to determine the priority order of the selected strategy which is then applied in making the roadmap. Based on the results of the SWOT matrix analysis, the SO Strategy consists of 6 (six) strategic steps, the ST Strategy consists of 5 (five) strategic steps, the WO Strategy consists of 8 (eight) strategic steps and the WT strategy consists of 4 (four) strategic steps. Based on weighting using the EFAS and IFAS matrices, the chosen strategy is the WO Strategy, so that the WO strategy becomes the first alternative. Based on the results of the classification of elements in the WO strategy, there are 4 (four) levels of hierarchical structure. In this hierarchical structure, it can be seen that the (WO5) and (WO6) sub-strategies are at level IV. Then the sub strategies (WO3) and (WO4) are at level III. At level II it consists of 3 (three) sub strategies, namely (WO1), (WO2), and (WO7). At level I, it is the sub strategy (WO8). The output of the SWOT and ISM analysis process in determining the Lapetal development strategy is a map or roadmap implemented in a strategic plan which is divided into five-year programs. Abstract

The Marines are a component of the combat forces owned by the Navy. In carrying out their duties as infiltration forces and landing forces, sophisticated equipment is needed to support each movement in terms of knowing the position of coordinates in the form of latitude longitude and compass direction to facilitate the movement of troops in carrying out operational tasks. For this reason, a tool was made to visually know the position of the latitude and longitude of the compass, making it easier for troops to carry out their duties both on the training ground and on the battlefield. This tool is in the form of a Design Combat Helmet for Visual Data Viewer GPS and Microcontroller-based Compass for the Navy Navy. This tool uses Arduino Mega Pro Mini 2560 as a microcontroller, V.KEL 2828U7G5LF as a GPS module, HMC5883L as a Compass module and Wemos Oled LCD 64x48 0.66 "as an analog data viewer. This tool has a working principle like Google Glass that can display data visually. How it works in order to display data visually is to use the reflection of a small mirror that will be enlarged using a convex lens or loop lens and then transmitted the reflection to a visual viewer that is placed in front of the eye. In order to get data in the form of latitude longitude and compass direction alternately a push button is used which is designed as a data selector switch or counter. In testing, this tool proved to be accurate in taking GPS data and compass direction after compared with equipment that has the same function. For the V. KEL2828U7G5LF GPS Module compared to FURUNO GPS and Google Map, while for the HMC5883L Compass module compared to the Android Compass Application. Keywords: GPS data, Compass, Visual Combat Helmet

Abstract

Abstract

The level open unemployment is a value that shows the number of working-age population who looking for work, is preparing a business, feels impossible to get a job or already have a job but have not started working and often used for measured employment. Like at Central Java has increasing the total population at 2014 and have high total investation whereas should be can getting more employment, but actually still give high unemployment about 996.344 population at 2014. So that, in this research used nonparametric regression approach which multivariate adaptive regression splines (MARS) for modeling the level open unemployment in Central Java at 2014 because the level open unemployment in Central Java predicted influence by some factors. This research resulted in the best modeling for level of open unemployment in Central Java Province with value of GCV minimum that obtained at 0,396 with R-square at 86,5 percent as well as the predictor variables were entered into the model as much as three, namely the total population with interest rate of 100 percent, the minimum wage with interest rate of 41,955 percent, and the total working population with interest rate of 39,547 percent. Abstract

The United Nations (UN) was founded on October 24, 1945 or after World War II ended. At the time of its establishment, the UN consists of 51 member countries and continues to grow until now it has 193 members. The birth of the UN was motivated by the failure of The League of Nations because it could not realize the desire of its founders to create peace throughout the world by preventing war. After World War I, it turned out that World War II was still followed. The UN is considered successful in preventing a widespread war so that until now there has been no World War III. However, in the current situation, wars in several parts of the world have recurred, such as in Syria, Palestine, Azerbaijan and others. The existence of the UN as a universal organization that maintains peace is again being questioned. The ability, especially the Security Council, as one of its organs to prevent war, needs to be improved. Keywords: The Security Council, UN Charter, Veto

Abstract

Historical facts show that in their heyday, the kingdoms in the archipelago such as Majapahit and Sriwijaya were maritime kingdoms with enormous power. With the ability to project their military power on and through the media of the sea, the two great empires were able to control the entire archipelago and even abroad. Although the government has declared Indonesia as the world's maritime axis, in its implementation there are several obstacles and among them are related to the culture of border communities who still do things that are contrary to the laws and regulations in Indonesia. The object of the research in this study is focused on the culture of the Indonesian people who are on the border area of Indonesia and the Philippines in the province of North Sulawesi, which has hundreds of years and for generations, has a relationship with the Filipinos. So that by examining the variables related to the culture of border communities, it will be possible to determine the best maritime policy that can have positive implications for Indonesia's national security. This study aims to obtain a conceptual model that can present the cultural influence of border communities on the Indonesian government's maritime policy and its implications for Indonesia's national security, this model is needed as a basis for determining maritime policies that can have positive implications for strengthening Indonesia's national security. The conceptual model and framework are based on quantitative descriptive analysis method by describing the relationship between the variables and the indicators of each variable. The results of the study show that there is a significant influence between X1 (social culture of border communities) and Y1 (Maritime Policy), there is no significant effect between X2 (Economic activities of border communities) and Y1. Keywords: Social culture, economic activity, illegal activities, maritime policy, national security.
