Abstract

This research is a research and development that aims to develop the big book medium of conductor material in primary school with the 4D model (define, design, development and dissemination) proposed by Thiagarajan in 1974. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The subjects of this study were 6 students from a public primary school in Pekanbaru. Research and development involves media experts as validators of the developed media. The data collection technique in this study was in the form of a validity and practicality questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study is to calculate the average percentage score seen from the aspects of content feasibility, presentation feasibility, language assessment, practicality of teacher and student responses. The results obtained from the media validity test show that the big book media conductor material is in the "very valid" category with a percentage score of 89.92%. While the results obtained from the practical test of teacher and student responses show that the big book media conductor material is "very practical" with a percentage score of  96.56%.

Abstract

The purpose of this reseach was to analyze the implementation of the BDR program, student learning patterns at SD Negeri Mojoagung 01, Pati, Central Java. This type of research is qualitative which is presented in the form of a description. The research data was obtained from the results of filling out questionnaires and interviews involving parents, teachers, and students of SD Negeri Mojoagung 01. The results of the analysis of questionnaires and interviews showed that the BDR program at SD Negeri Mojoagung 01 was carried out in a blended manner. The learning patterns of students at SD Negeri Mojoagung 01 are cognitive and aesthetic learning activities; visual, auditory, kinesthetic learning styles; forms of self-study, group, tutorial; playing games, listening to music, watching TV, playing with younger siblings to relieve boredom of studying; comfortable learning places are study tables, rooms, family rooms, dining tables; quiet learning atmosphere, accompanied by music, any atmosphere.

Abstract

This study aims to develop media in the form of natural motion-based dance learning videos in the Cultural Arts and Craft lessons in elementary schools. The method used is research and development (R&D) using the Four-D model, which are the steps: Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination proposed by Thiagarajan. The R&D  involved material experts, linguists and media experts as expert validators for the developed video. The data collection technique was in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used was to calculate the average score obtained from the material expert validator, language experts and media experts as well as the average score obtained from the product trial, namely the teacher and student responses. Based on the results of the video validation of natural motion-based dance learning that was developed, the criteria were very feasible with an average percentage of 87.57%. Meanwhile, for product trials, the teacher's response got a score of 91.02% and the student response got a score of 90.23% with a very good category. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the natural motion-based dance learning video has met the criteria of being very feasible and very good, and it can be used in learning dance in recognizing motion in dance, especially for third grade students in elementary schools.

Abstract

Instructional design has a strong influence on the success of university-level learning. Learning in higher education is effective if it is designed properly by the course unit tutor because the instructional design helps the preparation of a good lesson plan that contains objectives, materials, methods, media, class activities, evaluations, and so on. There are various instructional design models and one of the popular designs for media application is ASSURE. Some experts use the acronym ASSURE differently. In this article, ASSURE consists of Analyze learners, State objectives, Select method-media-materials, Utilize media-materials, Require learner participation, Evaluate and revise. The ASSURE model can be applied to various fields of study and levels, but has never been published in English language learning at university. Therefore, this article will explain the application of the ASSURE model in general English courses in universities.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a big book learning media on the theme of growth and development of living things sub-theme 1 which is valid and practical for third grade elementary school students. This research is research and development, and the researcher applies the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The learning media developed was validated by 2 media experts. To test the practicality, the researcher distributed questionnaires to teachers and students. The data in this study were obtained through interviews, questionnaires, and student learning outcomes in the form of LKPD. The data obtained were then analyzed quantitatively and descriptively. The learning media developed was very valid with an average score of 87.03% and included in the very practical category with an average score of 93.05% from teachers and 90.55% from students. Student learning outcomes in the form of LKPD with an average score of 83.33%. Therefore, the big book learning media with the theme of growth and development of living things in sub-theme 1 can be used by elementary school students and teachers.

Abstract

Students' attitudes are less positive towards mathematics and students' motivation to learn is also still lacking in learning mathematics. This study aims to determine the influence of students' attitudes and motivation together on the results of mathematics learning for class VIII of SMP in Baubau. This research is an ex post facto study with the population is all students of class VIII in one of SMP in Baubau which consists of 10 parallel classes with 304 students. Based on this population a sample of 47% or 142 people ware taken. 142 samples were taken from 10 classes. Thus, each class is taken at random as much as 47% of the total number of students in each class with a proportional random sampling technique. Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis of students' attitudes towards mathematics (X1) and students' motivation in mathematics (X2) together with students' mathematics learning outcomes (Y) it was found that the average score of students' mathematics learning outcomes (Y) will experience changes of 0.689 for each unit of change that occurs in students' attitude scores in mathematics (X1) and is also expected to experience a change of value of 0.190 for each unit that occurs in students' motivation test scores (X2). It was concluded that the attitudes and motivation of students in mathematics had a significant positive effect on mathematics learning outcomes of students in one of SMP in Baubau.

Abstract

The research aims to know teachers’ social competences based on the educator certificate. The research method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative method. The data-collection technique used was a questionnaire technique. The data analysis technique used is a descriptive analysis. Teachers’ social competences based on educator certificates in general have a good category. This corresponds with teachers’ social competence indicators of being inclusive and objective, adapting to the assigned environment, effective communication and good manners in communication.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of confidence and rewards on the performance of elementary school teachers in Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency, both simultaneously and partially. The population in this study was 269 people, while the study sample was 161 people. The data analysis used is regression analysis, regression coefficient, and determination coefficient. The results showed that in silmultan there was a negative influence of confidence (X1) and reward (X2) on teacher performance (Y) of 72.7%. While partial confidence (X1) negatively affects teacher performance (Y) by 48.5%, and reward (X2) negatively affects teacher performance by 4.5%. It can be concluded that confidence and reward (X2) together have a negative effect on the performance (Y) of elementary school teachers in Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency in a strong category.

Abstract

The implementaton of differentiated learning in the Independent Curriculum on the Solar System material in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Tembilahan is a Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles to improve learning and student activity. Starting with a diagnostic assessment, the teacher can carry out learning according to the learning needs of students. From the results obtained a significant increase in student learning outcomes from the pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II. Thus, differentiated learning is one of the definite learning approaches to the independent curicculum.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the leadership of the principal, how is work motivation, how is organizational commitment, is there an influence between leadership and teacher performance, is there an influence between work motivation and teacher performance, is there an effect between organizational commitment and teacher performance, and is there a joint influence between leadership, work motivation, and organizational commitment on the performance of SD Muhammadiyah Unggulan teachers in Temanggung Regency. This research is a quantitative research with data collection techniques through questionnaires. Validity test using normality test and linearity test.The results showed: 1) the principal's leadership was in good criteria, namely 67.5%, 2) work motivation was in the good category at 52.5%, 3) organizational commitment in the good category was 52.5%, 4) teacher performance in good category by 50%, 5) there is a positive and significant influence between leadership and teacher performance of 7.93%, 6) there is a positive and significant influence between work motivation and teacher performance of 47.0%, 7) there is a positive and significant influence between organizational commitment and teacher performance of 6 ,09%, 8) there is a positive and significant influence between leadership, work motivation, organizational commitment to teacher performance of 65.3%.
