Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the reaction of PG-PAUD students’ satisfaction level to the training program organized by Sanggar Batik Cikadu Tanjung Lesung. This approach used a qualitative approach by adopting kirkpatrick evaluation model at level 1. Respondents to this study were 25 people who had participated in the training. The results of the study obtained that 60% of students dissatisfied with the material provided, 40% of students were dissatisfied with the implementation of the material due to delays in implementation time, all students were satisfied with the facilities and infrastructure of the training and all students were satisfied with the performance of the instructor. Thus, this study concluded that although batik instructors had a reliable ability in facilitating student learning and the infrastructure facilities provided greatly support the implementation of training but they were not able to overcome students’ learning problems because the material presented was not in accordance with the needs of the participants of the training. In fact, the training through the art of batik was expected to be able to bridge students’ problems in creativity and blessing courses in order to build creativity and talent of students in the art of batik. Unfortunately, student did not like the art of polishing so that the results of the questionnaire obtained showed that only 40% of students were interested in the art of painting.

Abstract

Education is mandatory for the nation's children, without education the whole community does not have the competence to lead or teach something. Schools are places where the learning process takes place, where teachers act as teachers and educators become students as learners. The learning process cannot be separated from the components that support it. One of the components is learning evaluation. Evaluation is obtained intentionally to get the desired data that can be used as a decision. Evaluation activities are carried out systematically, and structurally require a lot of data or information and are clear. For example, if the teacher wants to measure the students' ability to accept the material given, the teacher deliberately asks questions to determine the level of students' understanding. In addition, by asking questions, teachers can evaluate students in the learning process through various kinds. Learning by observing students is a way to improve the quality of learning so that the data obtained from these activities will be used so that teachers can make the right decisions. This development is also accompanied by changes in student conditions from year to year. Evaluation of learning also develops as the field conditions.

Abstract

The standard of assessment for elementary schools in Donggala Regency is only at level 2 reaching 2.59% (low category). This happens, because the application of higher-order thinking skills in elementary schools in Donggala District, especially Banawa District, is not optimal. So the research was conducted to reveal data on the ability of teachers in carrying out HOTS-oriented learning assessments. This study uses a quantitative and qualitative approach. This research was carried out by the Elementary School in Banawa District, Donggala Regency by determining the sample using purposive sampling. Data was collected by means of questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis techniques are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results showed that of the 30 elementary schools in Banawa District, only 13 schools or 45% had known and obtained information about HOTS-oriented learning assessment. It was concluded that (1) the assessment of HOTS-oriented learning in elementary schools throughout Banawa sub-district was not yet understood (2) the government and stake holders as well as the school had not utilized the existing information channels to convey and exchange information about HOTS, (3) sufficient time was needed to distribute information about HOTS. HOTS in order to form a diffusion of innovation (4) in this case the social system or teacher group work (KKG) has not become a forum for distributing information about HOTS assessment in elementary schools throughout Banawa District, Donggala Regency.

Abstract

Although the pedagogical benefits of comics have been widely proven, attention to the operational aspects needed to support visual literacy strategies in resource-limited environments remains minimal. This study aims to analyze the gap between students' visual literacy preferences and the availability of school library resources at MI Asih Putera using the Dual Coding Theory. Using a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design, this study integrates survey data from 30 students in grades 3-5 with in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and librarians. Quantitative findings reveal a disconnect where, despite students' high preference for comics (73%) and interest in physical facilities reaching 93%, there is a sharp gap where 93% of students report unmet needs, particularly in library collection availability, as well as minimal interaction with librarians (13%). The qualitative phase explains that although comics successfully serve as a strategic cognitive hook, library services fail to keep pace with this need due to structural barriers, including a phased procurement budget system, irrelevant book donations, and administrative burdens stemming from manual library management. This study concludes that schools' operational capacity hampers the success of visual literacy strategies. To overcome this, the study recommends cost-effective transformations, such as adopting open-source library automation to ease administrative workload, using open-access e-comics displayed on classroom projectors to address hardware deficits, and formalizing comics into the curriculum to ensure budgetary priority.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning model on third-grade students' mathematics learning outcomes at SDN 2 Biskang in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study uses a quantitative method and a pre-experimental research design. The population in this study consists of all third-grade students at SDN 2 Biskang. The sample was taken using non-probability sampling, specifically a convenience sampling, in which the population served as the sample, consisting of 23 third-grade students. To determine the students' initial abilities, the researcher administered a pretest with an average score of 59.69, which was categorized as poor. After the researcher applied the Problem-Based Learning model, students' learning outcomes improved, with an average score of 81.26, indicating good performance. This research can be supported by the correlation coefficient of 0.960, which indicates that rhitung (0.960) ≥ rtabel (0.184), so Ha is accepted. Thus, the Problem-Based Learning model strongly influences the learning outcomes of third-grade students at UPTD SPF SD Negeri 2 Biskan. As seen from the t-test results, 3.783 ≥ 2.080, indicating that Ha is accepted. This shows a significant positive influence of the Problem-Based Learning model on the learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN 2 Biskang for the 2024/2025 academic year.

Abstract

The integration of STEM education and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) has been widely acknowledged as a practical approach to developing students' scientific competencies. However, empirical findings remain fragmented, particularly regarding the impact of flipbook media on science process skills and learning outcomes. This study aims to systematically review current research on the integration of STEM-based PjBL in science education. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted using the PRISMA protocol. Articles were retrieved from Scopus, Google Scholar, and SINTA databases, yielding 45 studies published between 2020 and 2024. Based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria related to relevance, accessibility, and methodological rigor, 15 studies were selected for in-depth analysis. The findings indicate that STEM-integrated PjBL contributes significantly to the development of science process skills, particularly in observation, experimentation, data interpretation, and problem-solving. Several studies also report improvements in students' conceptual understanding and learning outcomes, particularly when flipbook media are used to enhance engagement and structured learning support. Nonetheless, challenges were identified, including students' readiness for project-based tasks and the need for sustained teacher scaffolding. In conclusion, STEM-integrated PjBL supported by flipbook media is a pedagogically robust approach to strengthening science learning. Future studies are recommended to employ more rigorous designs to improve generalizability.

Abstract

This study aims to explore: 1) the learning outcomes of expository text reading skills using Google Form media based on the learning community program; 2) the similarity of learning outcomes of expository text reading skills using Google Form media based on the learning community program per sample group. The population of this study were grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Bintan who participated in expository text reading skills learning using Google Form media based on the learning community program. They numbered 105 students divided into three parallel classes with the same number of students. The sample was determined at 84 students based on a statistical formula drawn randomly from the population group. Data on expository text reading skills learning outcomes were collected using a valid test instrument. Data were analyzed using parametric inferential statistics. The results of the study: 1) the learning outcomes of expository text reading skills using Google Form media based on the learning community program reached a mean of 81.11 exceeding the KKM of 80.00; 2) There is no difference in learning outcomes for expository text reading skills using Google Form media based on the learning community program per sample group.
