Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of service quality, trust and commitment to community satisfaction. The population in this study were all people who used services in Pandean Lamper Village, Gayamsari District, Semarang City, amounting to 741 people (Data for April-May 2016). While the samples taken were 88 people. Sampling uses stratified proportional sampling. The data analysis tool used in this study is multiple regression analysis. Based on the results of the study: There is a significant positive effect between the quality of service on community satisfaction. There is a significant influence between trust in community satisfaction. There is a significant influence between commitment to community satisfaction. There is a significant influence between service quality, trust and commitment to community satisfaction

Abstract

This study aims to investigate and test the role of organizational ambition in improving innovation speed and marketing performance in MSMEs in the creative industries, especially handicraft in Semarang, Central Java. A sample of 173 SMEs were taken using convenience sampling techniques. Using regression analysis techniques, the study concluded that innovation speed is more influenced by exploitation than exploration. Organizational ambidexterity is not able to increase innovation speed and marketing performance and innovation speed is only influenced by exploitation. This result is thought to be strongly influenced by the character of MSMEs who are less familiar with technology as supporting exploitation activities. Exploitation capabilities are more prominent because modifying products by changing shapes, colors and sizes is easier and lower risk compared to creating products that are completely new with the use of the latest technology.

Abstract

This paper aims to propose some behavioural biases of trading in Bitcoin. It is review literature in the areas of behavioural finance that address issues related to Bitcoin to underpin the conceptual model. A conceptual model for understanding the behavioural bias that affects investing in cryptocurrency is proposed. The biases are herding, optimism, overconfidence, confirmation bias, loss aversion, and gamblers’ fallacy.  This paper ought to fill the research gap on cryptocurrency from the behavioral perspective. This paper implies that prices and Bitcoin transactions are more determined by psychological factors.

Abstract

This study attempts to analyze the ability of precious metals (gold, silver, platinum, and palladium) to act as a safe haven and hedging instruments on some of the capital market in the world. This study uses monthly data from January 2007 to December 2016. Stationarity Test, ARCH Effect Test and GARCH (1,1) Analysis are used to analyse the data. The results of this study indicate that gold is only capable of being a safe haven instruments in the capital markets of Tokyo, as well as gold are not able to be a hedging instrument for all capital markets studied. Silver is only capable of being a safe haven instruments separately Tokyo capital markets, as well as silver are not able to be a hedging instrument for all capital markets studied. Platinum is not capable of being a safe haven instruments for all capital markets studied, but platinum is able to be a hedging instrument for the Korean stock market and Tokyo. Palladium is not capable of being a safe haven instruments for all capital markets studied, but palladium is able to be a hedging instrument separately Australian capital markets, New York, Hong Kong, Korea, and Tokyo.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company which works in industry of oil and gas. With a lot of competition in the industry, PT XYZ needs to improve their performance especially in their main business line, Oil and Drilling Services Operation and also improve their Human Resources. One way to increase their performance is to know and improve the intrapreneurship in the company.This research is using qualitative approach. The first step conducted in this research was to look for the problem from the object being researched by the author. The data collections consist of primary data from questionnaire. There’ll be two questionnaire distributed. First one is Entrepreneurial Orientation Survey (EOS) to assess the current entrepreneurial condition in the company which distributed to the entire division of the company. The second one is Entrepreneurial Leadership Questionnaire (ELQ) which will asses the leader of the divisions with four types of intrapreneur leaders, Miners, Explorers, Accelerators and Integrators. ELQ was distributed in two key divisions, Division of Drilling and Oilfield Service as PT XYZ’s  core business and Human Resources Division to manage PT XYZ’s employees. This research will analyze the EOS and ELQ’s results and compare the result of both divisions of ELQOn the basis of the results of this research, it can be concluded that PT XYZ has a good entrepreneurial. PT XYZ’s employees also able to accept entrepreneurial environtment within the company. PT XYZ is also perform above average in the market, able to compesate the employees, empower the employees and doing innovation in par with the competitors. PT XYZ’s employees are also have some understanding about entrepreneurial knowledge. The leader in the PT XYZ’s Human Resource Division is Accelerator type while the leader in Division of Drilling and Oilfield Service is Miner type

Abstract

Management ability should be the activity that supports small and medium enterprises to be more effective and efficient in carrying out the enterprise in order to have high competitiveness. The problem occurred is there are many small and medium enterprises have poor management. The same problem also faced by Batik Tulis lasem industry, so the competitiveness of Batik Tulis Lasem industry is not optimal. This research aim is to obtain the proper enterprise management model as the effort to improve Batik Tulis Lasem competitiveness. Data analysis used is qualitative approach and SWOT analysis. The research result is the enterprise management model developed consists of production management, human resources management, marketing management and financing management. In implementing this enterprise management model is also developed criterion of enterprise performance measurement. The enterprise subjects have to carry out SWOT analysis for their enterprises, so the enterprises conditions and the competitor position this time can be identified.

Abstract

The research looks at the phenomenon of Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Limited Company as a company engaged in the business of property and development of integrated tourism area which has a vision to be the biggest and the best in Southeast Asia by having the widest network. To achieve that vision of course companies are always trying to improve the performance of its employees work in order to survive, thrive and have the confidence to compete with competitors of the company. Phenomenon that occurs is the low level of performance on Pembangunan Jaya Ancol limited Company is in terms of doing the work in team.This research was conducted to find out Application of Dimension of Knowledge-Sharing Behavior On Performance Of Tourist Sector Employees In Indonesia. The research is using primary data with the dissemination of the research questionnaire, respondents to this study are all employees in the marketing unit as respondents. Researchers assume this part is the cutting edge of Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Limited Company.The result of this research is the increasing of Knowledge Knowledge of Collecting and Donating variable will contribute significantly to influence Employee Performance of Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Limited Company. In other words Knowledge of Collecting and Donating Knowledge has a positive and significant influence simultaneously, while for  test partially Knowledge in Donating have the positive and significant influence and also with Knowledge Collecting gave a positive and significant influence on employee Performance of Company  Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Limited Company

Abstract

This study aims to examine and obtain empirical evidence about the effect of tax avoidance on firm value with transparency as a moderating variable in manufacturing companies listed on the Stock Exchange in 2013-2017. The data used is archived data in the form of annual reports and financial statements of manufacturing companies listed on the IDX. The results of this study indicate that tax avoidance as measured by the Effective Tax Rate (ETR) proxy which has a significant positive influence on firm value measured using Tobins' Q ratio and transparency can weaken the moderation between the effect of tax avoidance on firm value

Abstract

This research aim is to formulate business model for developing Batik Tulis Lasem Industry. The research object is Batik Tulis Lasem industry in Rembang Regency. The collecting data used is questioner and interview. The sample is 42 Batik Tulis Lasem entrepreneurs taken by purposive sampling. Analyzing data used is descriptive analysis technique, SWOT analysis and Business Model Canvas Approach. The result of the research shows that business model developed is Business Model Canvas by considering Existing condition. Some segment blocks must be developed and created. Customer segment block is the customers’ segment based on the area developed. Motif and design patent proposed have to be developed in value propositions block, and creating interesting design, motif and the packaging. The use of Dekranasda Showroom has to be improved in channels block and created the outside area promotion, e-marketplace and online selling. In costumer relationship block must be improved the services qualities and created customers’ fulfillment and loyalty. In revenue stream block must be developed and created the existing currents from product variation. In key resources block must be improved the labor skill. Key block activities must be carried out to improve capacity and quality of human resources. Key partnership is the existing condition improved and networking created for the same field entrepreneurs. Cost structure is the existing condition survived

Abstract

The shoe industry in Indonesia collided with each other to strengthen its brand in various ways to attract consumer buying interest. This study was aimed to examine the efforts of the Piero brand to create a buying interest in consumers through several marketing mix variables as variables that represent independent and intervening variable brand image. The population of this research were the followers of the @piero_jateng_diy account who took 30 samples from followers of the account. The sampling used was purposive sampling. Data analysis in this study was using descriptive analysis, multiple regression test, determination coefficient test (R2), t test, F test, and path analysis test. Descriptive analysis had shown the average answer agreed on each tested variable, with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 91.3% and multiple regression resulting in a regression equation Y = -1.360+ 0.282 X1 + 0.383 X2. The first to third hypotheses test which used the t test showed the effect of significance below 0.05 and test the four hypotheses used the F test to showed the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable with a significance below 0.05. The fifth hypotheses test was using path analysis test to produce that mediating variables can provide indirect influence on independent variables on the dependent variable.Piero must strengthen in terms of the availability of goods, easy to remember the Piero brand in the minds of consumers and strengthen it to make Piero one of the consumers' choices.
