Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find the best digital marketing strategy and its development strategy for retail companies in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative approach of SWOT analysis, and data collection through interviews and direct observation, in five retail companies in Indonesia, namely Indomart, Alfamart, Alfamidi, Carefour and Lottemart. The results of the study show that each company has advantages in terms of wide market reach, marketing cost efficiency, and ease of interaction with customers through digital platforms. However, there are challenges that need to be overcome, such as limited human resources in digital marketing, tight competition, and cybersecurity threats. As a development strategy, this study recommends several main steps, including: (1) Improving digital HR competency through technology-based marketing training, (2) Utilizing AI and Big Data technology to personalize customer experiences, (3) Diversifying digital marketing platforms, including using live shopping and influencer marketing strategies, (4) Strengthening customer data security to increase user trust, and (5) Expanding omni-channel and e-commerce services to increase sales effectiveness.

Abstract

Indonesia’s logistics sector faces high costs and inefficiencies due to toll road congestion and delays. Multilane Free Flow (MLFF) offers a solution by enabling seamless toll transactions that can reduce delays and costs. Using a SWOT framework, with RBV and Institutional Theory, this study assesses MLFF’s impact. It highlights MLFF’s strengths in efficiency, lower VOC, safety, and environmental benefits. Challenges include technological accuracy, financial viability, user acceptance, and fragmented regulations. Public support offers opportunities for adoption, but implementation needs regulatory reform, infrastructure upgrades, and stakeholder collaboration. MLFF could reduce logistics costs and enhance competitiveness, but success depends on overcoming hurdles through coordinated efforts.

Abstract

Indonesia, particularly Bandung Regency, faces significant flood risks that disrupt livelihoods and damage infrastructure. This study identifies the optimal locations and number of evacuation centers using the Set Covering Problem (SCP) model, integrating geographic data, population density, accessibility, and infrastructure capacity. The study applied constraints including a 1,000-meter maximum service distance, minimum road width of 6 meters for Class IIIB and IIIC access, shelter capacity limits, and full coverage of demand points. Using ArcGIS 10.2.1, candidate locations were evaluated by overlaying flood vulnerability maps with accessibility and facility data. Environmental sustainability was addressed by selecting sites with minimal ecological disruption, avoiding sensitive zones, and reusing existing structures to reduce land conversion. Results show that five centralized shelters in high-density, well-connected areas can cut evacuation travel time by up to 20% compared to dispersed locations. This integrated approach improves response efficiency, ensures access for vulnerable populations, and supports sustainable site planning. The findings contribute to disaster logistics theory and offer practical, replicable guidance for policy in other flood-prone regions.

Abstract

This study explores how applying the Taguchi method as a robust design tool can strengthen value chain integration in Indonesia’s ride-hailing services. A survey of 162 users was conducted, with responses examined through factor allocation, variance analysis, and a structured quality control cycle covering verification, validation, implementation, feedback, documentation, and reporting. The findings highlight several service quality drivers: timely response during peak demand, transparent pricing, convenient digital payments, and dependable customer support. The results reveal gaps between actual operations and customer expectations, underscoring the need for tighter alignment. By positioning the Taguchi method within a service-based value chain, this research introduces a novel contribution, demonstrating how quality design principles traditionally applied in manufacturing can enhance efficiency, resilience, and customer satisfaction in the competitive ride-hailing sector.

Abstract

This research aims to improve logistics in Indonesia's furniture export sector, focusing on companies that face challenges in choosing the best air cargo service for product samples. While air cargo is preferred for its speed and reliability, selecting the optimal provider remains complex due to various service factors. The study applies the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to evaluate air cargo services based on six criteria: delivery speed, document preparation, problem handling, customer maintenance, promotional activities, and shipping cost. The results indicate DHL as the best provider with a score of 0.93913, followed by FedEx and TNT Express. DHL excels in delivery speed and document preparation, crucial for international trade. This study highlights the SAW method's effectiveness in offering a transparent, data-driven approach to logistics decision-making, potentially benefiting other companies facing similar logistics challenges, improving shipment efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing global competitiveness.
