Abstract

The construction industry in Indonesia is experiencing rapid growth, yet the improvement in construction project management to minimize construction accidents is not commensurate with the expansion. According to data from the Social Security Administration for Manpower in Sumatra and Riau, there were 31,801 workplace accidents in 2021, with 216 cases involving construction workers, predominantly occurring at job sites. This is largely attributed to the frequent neglect of implementing the Construction Safety Management System (SMKK) on construction projects, which inherently pose high risks and accident rates. This research aims to identify the inhibiting factors in the implementation of SMKK during the construction phase, based on The Ministry of Public Works and Housing Regulation No. 10 of 2021. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, involving interviews with 11 key informants including Commitment Making Official of planner, Commitment Making Official of execution, Commitment Making Official of supervisor, Consultant of Planner, Contractor of construction, Consultant of Inspection and tender committee. The study identified four main barriers: inadequate awareness among workers regarding safety priorities, infrequent presence of HSE personnel from consulting supervisors until project completion, lax oversight by Top Management, and ineffective outcomes following internal audits, failing to achieve expected improvements.Keywords: Inhibiting Factor, Construction Accident, Construction Project, Inhibiting Factor, The Ministry of Public Works and Housing Regulation No. 10 Year 2021, SMKK

Abstract

Swamp land ecosystems have significant potential as productive agricultural areas, but face challenges of excessive water inundation during the rainy season and extreme drought during the dry season, which impacts the reduction of planting intensity. This research aims to comprehensively examine the periodic maintenance methods of the Main Distribution Channel (SDU) of the Sugihan Kanan Delta Water Swamp Irrigation Area in Tirta Mulya Village, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, and identify types of damage and effective repair methodologies. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach through field observation, in-depth interviews with stakeholders, literature study, and documentation during the period from February to June 2025. The research results identified three main categories of damage: massive sedimentation, proliferation of wild vegetation, and deterioration of embankment structures that caused a reduction in channel capacity to 60-70% of design capacity. Implementation of periodic maintenance includes equipment mobilization, precision measurement, sediment dredging, vegetation cleaning, and embankment reconstruction with dimensions of 11 meters width, 2 meters depth, and 3 meters berm width. This research concludes that systematic periodic maintenance can restore optimal function of swamp irrigation channels and recommends implementation of sustainable sedimentation control programs and strengthening community participation in operational and maintenance of irrigation infrastructure to support regional food security.Keywords: Periodic Maintenance, Swamp Irrigation Channel, Sedimentation, Swamp Irrigation Area, Sugihan Kanan

Abstract

Titanium dan paduannya lebih banyak dipilih untuk material implan gigi, khususnya pemasangan kawat gigi, karena mempunyai sifat tahan korosi dan sifat mekanik yang jauh lebih baik dibanding baja tahan karat. Namun demikian, penggunaan titanium dan paduannya masih memiliki kekurangan. Ketahanan korosi titanium dapat berkurang di lingkungan asam (pH asam). Seperti diketahui, masyarakat Sumbar suka mengkonsumsi makanan yang mengandung zat asam (mengandung santan/lemak) seperti rendang, gulai, dan goreng-gorengan. Karena itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui laju korosi terhadap titanium dan paduannya di lingkungan asam. Ada 4 (empat) sampel titanium yang dipilih dalam pengujian ini. Yakni Ti-12 Cr, TNTZ-ST, Ti64 ELI (Extra Low Intertitial) dan Commercial Pure Titanium (CpTi). Empat spesimen ini diuji rendam (immersion test) dalam larutan Simulated Body Fluid (SBF) Kokubo (pH 5,0) dengan empat (4) variasi waktu (t); 1 minggu, 2 minggu, 3 minggu dan 4 minggu. Laju korosi dihitung dengan metode pengurangan berat (weight loss). Hasil pengujian didapatkan laju korosi tertinggi terjadi pada CPTi (0,0985 mm/y) pada waktu pengujian 4 minggu. Sementara laju korosi terendah terjadi pada Ti-12 Cr, 0,0515 mm/y. Untuk nilai kekerasan, CpTi memiliki kekerasan paling tinggi, 365 HVN (1 minggu). Sementara Ti-12 Cr memiliki kekerasan paling rendah, 130 HVN.

Abstract

Settlements on river borders are generally associated with the need for land for commercial and residential activities, resulting in changes in land function in various areas. The aim of this research is to determine and analyze the perceptions and preferences of residents in the Indragiri River border area and the aspirations of the people of Kec. Tembilahan Hulu as well as knowing and analyzing the influencing factors and dominant factors on the perceptions and preferences of residential residents. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and the data collection method was by distributing questionnaires directly to respondents using a quantitative method approach. Data analysis uses the respondent achievement level (TCR) and confirmatory factor analysis approaches. The dominant factor for perception is government regulations with a cumulative factor value of 36.44% and the dominant factor in the preferences of residents of settlements along the river is personal interests with a cumulative value of 75.88%. The community aspirations conveyed by several communities that live outside the river border area are that settlements on the river border must receive special attention from the government and have regulations that are right on target and the government can pay attention to their livelihood factors which are related to the community's own economy.Keywords: Settlements, rivers, riverbanks, perceptions, preferences

Abstract

Population growth in Sidoarjo Regency accompanied by increasing industrial waste has a negative impact on environmental sustainability and provides challenges related to innovation regarding this problem. Waste separator equipment in industrial companies is one of the relevant innovations to make it easier to process the waste produced. This research aims to create a waste separation device based on Internet of Things (IoT) technology that can help people sort waste automatically. This system uses a combination of STM32F407 and ESP8266 microcontrollers with three main sensors: inductive proximity, capacitive proximity, and infrared. This tool is designed to help identify types of metal, non-metal, organic and inorganic waste by automatically moving the waste to the appropriate container with the help of a servo motor. Notifications in the form of trash bin capacity status are also sent via the Telegram application on smartphones. Test results show that this tool is successful in sorting waste with a high level of accuracy, although notification speed depends on the stability of the internet connection. This research provides innovative solutions to waste management challenges and is expected to encourage the application of the 3R principles (reuse, reduce, recycle) in society.Keywords: IoT, Waste Sorting, Sensors, Automation, Waste Management

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of a Rain Water Harvesting (RWH) system as a solution for providing clean water reserves in Banyu Urip Village, Tanjung Lago Subdistrict, Banyuasin Regency, particularly during the dry season. Banyu Urip Village faces a clean water crisis during the dry season due to the poor quality of peat water. This activity involved designing and implementing a simple household-based RWH system. As a result, the system was able to collect up to 600 liters of rainwater during a single heavy rainfall, which was then used by residents for daily needs. Abstract

The success of agriculture in tidal swamp areas significantly depends on the sustainability of irrigation infrastructure. SR Agung Village in Karang Agung Hilir, Banyuasin Regency, is a transmigration area suffering from the degradation of secondary irrigation channels due to sedimentation, embankment damage, and uncontrolled vegetation growth. This study aims to comprehensively describe the existing conditions of the secondary channel and evaluate the effectiveness of the rehabilitation efforts undertaken. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collection through field observations, interviews with project stakeholders, documentation review, and active participation. The results revealed damage including embankment cracks up to 30 cm deep, sediment buildup reducing channel capacity by 60%, and aquatic vegetation covering 70–80% of the water surface. Rehabilitation strategies involved embankment reinforcement using geotextiles and crack injection, sediment dredging, and integrated vegetation control. Technical design followed the Detail Engineering Design (DED) approach, incorporating topographic, hydraulic, and geotechnical data. Rehabilitation outcomes showed a 40% increase in flow capacity and a 25% reduction in water loss. In conclusion, the rehabilitation significantly improved irrigation efficiency, agricultural productivity, and local food security. It is recommended to implement routine maintenance programs using digital technology and encourage community involvement through Water User Associations to ensure long-term infrastructure sustainability. Keywords: Secondary Irrigation, Irrigation Rehabilitation, Swamp Channel, SR Agung Village, Water Efficiency

Abstract

preliminary design untuk perancangan rangka portal bangunan sekolah 2 tingkat. Tujuan utama dari preliminary design ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran awal mengenai konsep struktural, dimensi elemen-elemen utama, dan pertimbangan desain yang akan digunakan dalam tahap perancangan lebih lanjut. Bangunan sekolah 2 tingkat yang direncanakan memiliki fungsi penting sebagai fasilitas pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, perancangan strukturnya harus memenuhi berbagai aspek seperti keamanan, kenyamanan, efisiensi, dan estetika. Rangka portal sebagai sistem struktur utama akan memegang peranan krusial dalam mendistribusikan beban dan menjaga stabilitas bangunan secara keseluruhan. Hasil dari preliminary design ini akan menjadi dasar untuk tahap perancangan detail selanjutnya. Pada penelitian ini digunakan software SAP2000 untuk memodelkan struktur bangunan yang diberi beban sesuai dengan peraturan SNI 2847-2019. Melalui proses ini, diharapkan dapat diperoleh solusi desain yang optimal, aman, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan bangunan sekolah 2 tingkat yang direncanakan.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a web-based information system for equipment and event decoration rental services at Persadadita Decoration, a community-based business managed by local youth. Prior to the development of the system, the business operated manually, with inefficient data recording, service delays, and difficulties in managing customer and transaction information. To address these issues, the system was developed using the Waterfall  method, which includes five stages: requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and deployment. The Laravel framework was used as the foundation for system development, with MySQL serving as the database management system for storing and organizing data. The system was evaluated using two methods, including Black Box Testing to verify functional completeness and the System Usability Scale (SUS) to assess user  satisfaction. The test results showed that all system features worked as intended, and the SUS evaluation involving 30 respondents yielded an average score of 82.5, which falls into the “Excellent” category. The system includes key features such as role-based login, decoration package management, booking approval, and integrated contact functionality. Overall, the developed system successfully improves service efficiency, accuracy in data management, and provides user s with a convenient way to access information and make reservations online.

Abstract

The braking system is one of the main components in a vehicle that plays an important role in driving safety. This research aims to design and develop an electromagnetic field-based brake system as an alternative to conventional brake systems. The system utilises the magnetic field generated by the solenoid to create braking force through the principle of electromagnetic induction. Simulation results show that the system is able to generate optimal braking force with faster response and higher energy efficiency. Prototypes tested on small-scale vehicles show improved braking performance with reduced braking distance compared to conventional brake systems. In addition, the system successfully reduced mechanical component wear and demonstrated good reliability under various conditions, including wet road surfaces. However, the research also found challenges in the form of relatively high energy consumption and the need for more heat-resistant conductive materials. In conclusion, electromagnetic brake systems have great potential to improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of transport in the future.
