Abstract

This research aims to design a receptionist information system at the Palembang City Library and Archives Office to facilitate visitor registration and data management. The system is designed to enhance operational efficiency and improve service quality for visitors. Using the Prototype development model, the system goes through the stages of requirement analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The research results show that the developed system improves visitor management with features such as digital registration, data recapitulation, and data export to Excel format. Additionally, the system supports library operations by accelerating data retrieval and generating more structured reports. The implementation of this system is expected to accelerate digital transformation in library administration and enhance service quality for the public.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has made access to digital entertainment easy. This includes online games such as eFootball, which has been downloaded more than 100 million times and received mixed reviews on the Google Play Store. This study examines the sentiment of eFootball user ratings using the Naive Bayes algorithm. The methodological process includes data selection, pre-processing, transformation using CountVectorizer and TF-IDF, and classification with Naive Bayes. From 1500 reviews on Google Play Store, the Naive Bayes model obtained 85% accuracy, 85% precision, 86% repeatability rate, and 85% F1 score. The results of this study show that Naive Bayes is effective for classifying sentiment from eFootball game ratings.

Abstract

Technology plays an important role in human survival in daily activities that cannot be separated from technology. Information technology makes it easy for humans to share information or search for information. Cyber ​​attacks such as malware attacks or hacking attempts are a serious threat to IT networks. The purpose of network security is to anticipate the risk of network threats that can disrupt daily computer network operations. In this study, the author used the Action Research method. This study aims to test and develop, find and design. The network in the IT Department of PT. Pupuk Srwidjaja Palembang is quite safe because when network monitoring was carried out for 10 days on June 6, 2023 to June 22, 2023, there was no illegal access.

Abstract

As technology advances, the level of intelligence in humans increases, so humans always want to create progressive innovations, but besides that, it can also give rise to crime in society. Therefore, security aspects are very much needed in various sectors of life today. One of them is the locker security system which can influence criminal acts. A locker is a place for storage that usually has a lock, which is used to store or place valuable items. One of the facts is that there is often theft and loss of items at places where lockers are rented or borrowed. Thieves can easily open the locker lock using a piece of wire or other artificial keys. This research designs and builds a locker door security system consisting of QRcode sensors, solenoid locks, UV lights, Arduino and other sensor devices. The result of this research is an implementation of a locker security system that can open and close locker locks automatically using Arduino Uno which can provide automatic lock security with a better level of security such as the use of an automatic lock that uses a QRcode scan sensor which only the owner can open by pasting the QRcode code, and additional automatic locks such as a password keypad to open the locker.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has increased the need for robust data security, especially in public administration managing sensitive information. This research aims to design a farmer group management application for Dawuan District, integrating the Blowfish algorithm to secure member data. The study employs the Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodology, comprising problem identification, system design, implementation, and evaluation stages. Blowfish, chosen for its speed and efficiency, encrypts critical information such as identification numbers, addresses, and contact details. System functionality and security tests confirm the algorithm’s effectiveness, demonstrating faster encryption times and reliable protection against data breaches compared to AES and 3DES. User feedback highlights the system’s practicality and alignment with local administrative needs. However, the study notes limitations in computational resource requirements and key management. Future research may explore performance optimization, blockchain integration for layered security, and mobile app development to enhance accessibility. This research contributes to the literature on cryptographic applications in public systems, presenting a scalable solution to secure farmer data and supporting regional efforts to comply with data protection regulations.

Abstract

Information systems play a crucial role in data management and providing useful information, including in the context of higher education. Student achievement, as an indicator of study success, needs to be managed effectively and efficiently. This study aims to develop a website-based student achievement data collection information system in the Information Systems and Technology Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Kotabumi. Data collection methods used include literature studies to understand the concept of student achievement and information systems, as well as direct observation to analyze the current data collection process. The system development uses a waterfall model with stages of system analysis, design, implementation and system testing. The results of this website-based information system research are expected to be able to improve the efficiency and accuracy of student achievement data collection, as well as provide more complete and easily accessible information. This system is expected to support the improvement of the quality of student services in the Information Systems and Technology Study Program, Muhammadiyah University of Kotabumi

Abstract

CTP / CTCP machine which is a machine used in the printing industry that functions to make printing plates. CTP (Computer to Plate) CTCP (Computer to Conventional Plate). Continuous usage of this machine may cause the vacuum blower motor to overheat and shut off, which could impede the creation of printing plates and ultimately halt output. The performance of the machine can be enhanced by using protective system technology on the vacuum blower motor. By using microcontroller Node MCU ESP 8266 as control system, using a DS18B20 as temperature sensor, two fan as cooler, PZEM 017t as voltage and current monitoring motor, LCD 16x2 as display showing the values of current, voltage, DC motor temperature, DC motor speed control, and telegram to monitoring system realtime. The research’s output is a prototype that uses a DC motor as vacuum blower motor for monitoring and cooler if the DC motor temperature reaches a certain point, it will automatically notify the user via a chatbot (Telegram). So that when used with the plate printing machine, it can subsequently aid in improving output results.

Abstract

The web-based collaboration information system is designed as an application to facilitate a dynamic and structured collaboration process between Muhammadiyah University of Kotabumi (UMKO) and various external parties. At UMKO, the management of collaboration documents currently faces several significant challenges, including limitations in accessibility and efficiency in handling physical documents. This research aims to address the problems arising from conventional collaboration methods, which are often time-consuming and prone to errors, by offering comprehensive digital solutions to improve overall collaboration effectiveness. The system development method used is the waterfall model, a systematic and structured approach that includes stages such as in-depth needs analysis, detailed system design, careful implementation, rigorous testing, and continuous maintenance. Data collection was carried out through observation of the existing collaboration flow, in-depth interviews with relevant parties such as collaboration units, lecturers, and external partners, as well as comprehensive literature reviews to understand the concepts and best practices in developing collaboration information systems. The research results show that the developed system has successfully and significantly increased the efficiency of collaboration data management, facilitated fast and accurate information access for lecturers, students, and partners, and produced more accurate, comprehensive, and timely collaboration reports. This system is expected to support UMKO in enhancing the quality and quantity of collaborations, expanding its cooperation network, and strengthening the institution's image as a progressive and cooperation-oriented educational institution.

Abstract

As the demands for quality service in the digital era increase, strategic companies such as PT. PLN (Persero) utilize Contact Center 123 as the front line of communication with customers. The background of the success of other digital innovations such as the PLN Mobile application which has been proven to significantly increase customer satisfaction, emphasizes the urgency of continuous evaluation of all service channels. This study aims to measure the level of customer satisfaction with the PLN 123 Contact Center service and provide strategic recommendations for improving quality in the future. The method used is a comprehensive analysis with the PIECES framework, which evaluates six dimensions: Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, and Service. The results of the study showed very satisfactory system performance, with all dimensions achieving a level of conformity above 90%. The Control aspect obtained the highest score (94.81%), while the Efficiency aspect was recorded as the lowest (90.26%). Although the overall performance was very good, these findings indicate that there is clear room for improvement in the efficiency area to improve the customer experience.

Abstract

The Public Relations Section of the South Sumatra Regional Police has an important role in establishing communication with the media, especially in the process of registering and attending journalists at press release activities. However, the process that is still carried out manually creates various obstacles, such as the accumulation of physical documents, delays in the verification process, the risk of losing data, and the potential for errors in recording attendance. Based on these problems, this study aims to design and implement a web-based Journalist Service Information System (SILAW) to automate all administrative processes involving journalists. The development method used is the prototyping approach, which includes the stages of requirements gathering, prototyping, user evaluation, system coding, and testing. The system was developed using PHP programming language and PhpMyAdmin database. The implementation results show that this system can improve operational efficiency, speed up the registration process, minimize the risk of data loss, and facilitate the process of recording and reporting journalists' attendance. SILAW provides online registration, digital document management, file validation, automatic attendance recording, and systematic activity report generation. With the implementation of this system, the management of relations between PR and media becomes more effective, structured, and responsive. This research makes a real contribution to the digitization of public services in the police environment, and becomes a model that can be applied in similar agencies.
