Abstract

Social media platforms like Instagram play a crucial role in shaping public opinion and fostering community engagement in the digital age. The "StandWithUs" Instagram account, dedicated to raising awareness and advocacy, has garnered significant attention and interaction through its posts. However, understanding the sentiment behind user comments on these posts remains challenging. This study addresses this issue by employing Naive Bayes Classification to analyze the sentiment of comments on the "StandWithUs" Instagram account. The primary objective is to accurately classify comments into positive, negative, or neutral categories, providing insights into public opinion and engagement.Our findings indicate that the Naive Bayes Classification model achieves high accuracy in sentiment identification when trained with a substantial dataset. This research highlights the effectiveness of Naive Bayes in conducting sentiment analysis on social media, underscoring its potential to enhance our understanding and management of public opinion on advocacy-related content. The implications of this study are significant, offering valuable perspectives on how social media sentiment analysis can be leveraged to gauge public reactions and involvement, ultimately contributing to more informed advocacy strategies and community engagement efforts.By accurately interpreting the sentiments of user comments, stakeholders can better understand public perception and tailor their content and messaging strategies to foster more meaningful and positive interactions within their digital communities.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a web-based decision support system (DSS) for selecting pre-wedding photoshoot locations in Medan, utilizing the Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method. The DSS provides an efficient tool to assist couples in making informed decisions by evaluating various location options based on multiple criteria such as aesthetics, accessibility, and cost. The study employs a combination of data collection from popular pre-wedding locations, user preferences, and algorithmic processing to rank and recommend optimal locations. The MOORA method is chosen for its ability to handle multi-criteria decision-making problems effectively. The system's effectiveness was tested using real-world data, demonstrating its potential to simplify and enhance the decision-making process for users. Results indicate that the DSS can significantly reduce the time and effort required to choose a suitable pre-wedding location, while also providing personalized recommendations that align with user preferences. The findings suggest that the MOORA-based DSS can be a valuable tool for the wedding planning industry, offering a scalable solution that could be adapted to other location-based decision-making contexts.

Abstract

Mastery of tajweed is an important aspect in reading the Qur'an correctly, but often conventional learning methods are considered less attractive to students. To overcome this challenge, this research developed an interactive learning media based on Augmented Reality (AR) that is designed to introduce the science of tajweed in a more interesting and easy-to-understand way. Augmented reality (AR) technology allows for the integration of digital elements into the real world, creating immersive and interactive learning experiences. This application provides a three-dimensional visualization of the hijaiyah letters and the rules of tajwid, as well as examples of their application in the reading of the Qur'an. The evaluation of the use of this media shows an increase in students' interest and understanding of tajweed materials, as well as providing a more in-depth and interesting learning experience. Thus, this AR-based interactive learning media has the potential to be an effective tool in the process of introducing and mastering tajweed science, which is expected to improve the quality of learning in the religious field.

Abstract

With the advancement of technology, educational institutions, particularly universities, have begun to implement the use of PowerPoint. However, PowerPoint has not been widely adopted in primary schools. It is essential to understand the benefits and analyze the usage by various institutions that have already integrated it. This analysis focuses on the benefits using an approach that addresses the issues and challenges of PowerPoint as a learning medium. The study provides an overview of the implementation of PowerPoint in educational institutions and offers recommendations for effective utilization.

Abstract

The development of computer-based information technology is so fast that it has made many changes in human life. One of the latest technological developments that is becoming the center of attention is artificial intelligence. With this artificial intelligence, computers can perform certain tasks like humans do, namely chatting (chatbot). Chatbot is a computer program that can handle and respond to conversations through writing. The tourism sector is one area that has the potential to grow the economy of a region. Tourism is closely related to the use of information technology. Tourism in Greater Tangerang has the potential to be visited by many tourists. However, the development of existing tourism information is still considered to be less effective and informative. In conveying information, it is still done manually, namely from information heard by other people. Therefore, researchers are trying to develop a chatbot application as a helpdesk using a Natural Language Processing approach. With this application, tourists will be able to ask questions and answers to the system being built. This application uses language that is used daily for humans to communicate with each other.

Abstract

PT PLN (Persero) UIP SUMBAGSEL, as a government company in the energy sector, faces challenges in ensuring reliable and efficient internet network access for employees. The lack of a monitoring system that assists administrators in monitoring network devices causes difficulties in ensuring consistent device status and connectivity. Zabbix is an open-source software for network monitoring, offering an effective solution to monitor network performance and detect problems in real-time. This research aims to design and implement a network monitoring system using Zabbix at PT PLN (Persero) UIP SUMBAGSEL. The research method used is Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC), which includes the stages of analysis, design, simulation, implementation, monitoring, and management. The results showed that Zabbix is able to detect Mikrotik devices connected to the network and monitor device performance, such as network traffic and memory usage. In conclusion, the implementation of monitoring with Zabbix is effective for monitoring the availability of network devices, which is expected to increase operational efficiency and productivity at PT PLN (Persero) UIP SUMBAGSEL.

Abstract

Higher education institutions play an important role in creating quality human resources, and one of the main factors that influence the quality of higher education is the academic services provided to students, as seen at STMIK Widuri. The Academic and Student Affairs Administration Bureau of STMIK Widuri needs to provide quick and accurate responses to ensure the quality of services is maintained. This study aims to predict the services of the Academic and Student Affairs Administration Bureau using the Naive Bayes Classifier algorithm, which is a probability-based classification method for predicting a class. The datasets used in this study are perceptions and expectations derived from questionnaires distributed online to STMIK Widuri students, which were processed using RapidMiner through the stages of Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD). The evaluation results show an accuracy of 95%, precision of 100%, and recall of 93.75% for the perception dataset, and an accuracy of 90%, precision of 87.50%, and recall of 87.50% for the expectation dataset. This algorithm has proven to be effective in predicting the satisfaction of services provided by the Academic and Student Affairs Administration Bureau at STMIK Widuri.

Abstract

This study discusses the Nimbus BM application as an Android-based employee attendance solution at the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Attendance is the process of recording the presence and return of individuals in activities, which is important in managing attendance. However, the Nimbus BM application sometimes experiences errors when employees check in and out, especially when the network is unstable, resulting in inaccurate time recording. The simple features of this application are also considered less supportive of optimal attendance needs. This study uses the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach to measure employee acceptance and identify aspects that need to be improved, through four main variables: perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude towards use, and intention to use. The results of the analysis show that the Nimbus BM application received an average score of 85.09% for all variables, indicating that this application is accepted by the majority of employees. This study is expected to be the basis for further development of the Nimbus BM application, especially in improving features and network stability to be more optimal in meeting employee attendance needs effectively at the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.

Abstract

Choosing a major for vocational students is an important step in determining their future career. Inappropriate decisions in choosing a major can have a negative impact on the learning process and career prospects of students. This research aims to apply the Decision Tree C4.5 algorithm in determining student majors based on historical data from SMK Plus Qurrota A'yun. The main attributes used in this model include gender, practical score, report card score, and rank. The data analysis process is carried out using KDD (Knowledge Discovery in Databases) stages which include preprocessing (normalization and labeling), data transformation with SMOTE to balance the data, and dataset division (80% for training and 20% for testing). The results of the C4.5 Decision Tree model show an accuracy rate of 86.59%, with report card and practical grades as the most significant attributes in determining student majors. Evaluation of the model showed variation in performance between majors, with high precision in TSM (92.22%) and weak recall in TKJ (73.91%). Overall, the algorithm proved to be effective for providing major recommendations based on historical data, although optimization is needed for majors with lower precision and recall values.

Abstract

This study aims to classify reviews of the SIREKAP 2024 application automatically using the DistilBERT feature extraction method and the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm. The data used includes 8,538 user reviews from the Google Play Store with five Rating categories as the target variable. After undergoing 10-Fold cross-validation, the average F1-Score obtained was 36.62%, with the highest performance reaching 37.16%. The analysis indicates that data imbalance is the main obstacle in improving the model's accuracy, particularly in the minority class. The study concludes that the combination of DistilBERT and SVM yields suboptimal results and requires further optimization. Recommendations are provided to improve model accuracy and enhance the quality of the application based on user reviews.
