Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) undergoing hemodialysis (HD) experience a decrease in physical health status that affects their quality of life. CKD patients need proper self-care management, including diet management to manage and maintain their health status. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the differences in the quality of life of CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis between the various dietary management they undertake. Method: cross-sectional study design, samples of all CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis were 60 respondents. Dietary management measures are the subscale Hemodialysis Patient's Self-care Management Scale (HPSMS): dietary regulatory; food safety; and therapeutic diet implementation. Quality of life using the Kidney Disease Quality of Life (KDQOL) SF 1.3 instrument. The univariate analysis uses the central tendency and proportion, and bivariate analysis uses the Fisher-exact test. Results: the average age of 47.3 years, 53.3% of men, the median value of HD 10.5 months long, 58.3% did not work. 83.3% poor diet management, safe 83.3% poor food, 68.3% poor therapeutic diet implementation, and 81.7% poor quality of life of CKD patients. There was a significant difference in the quality of life of CKD patients between various dietary arrangements, (p=0.0001), safe food (p=0.013), and implementation of a therapeutic diet (p=0.027). Conclusion: A good diet management has the opportunity to improve the quality of life of CKD patients.

The research instrument was the Bourbanais pain scale value. Analysis of research data using the Wilcoxon test and the Mann Withney test. the pre-posttest pain scale on the warm compress group was 4.00 and 2.00. The pre-posttest pain scale score of the cold compress group was 5.00 and 2.50. Bivariate test of pre-posttest pain scale score of warm compresses and cold compresses obtained p values of 0,000 and 0,000. The posttest bivariate test between warm compresses and cold compresses showed a p-value of 0.683. There is the effect of warm compresses and cold compresses on pain in futsal players at Forza Futsal Field. Diabetic Foot Ulcer (DFU) is one of the complications often experienced by patients with diabetes mellitus (DM). This is a serious problem that leads to disability, morbidity, and mortality among diabetic patients. However, in Indonesia, studies about DFU characteristics are very limited. This study aimed to describe DFU characteristics among patients with DM. A consecutive sampling involved patients who met inclusion criteria was performed in Tugurejo Hospital; Islamic Sultan Agung Hospital, and Dr. Moewardi Hospital. Their demographic characteristics, clinical condition, and wound appearances were noted and documented. Diabetic Foot Ulcer Assessment Scale (DFUAS) that consists of 11 characteristics was used to observe the wound features. The data were quantitatively analyzed to elucidate the result. A total of 73 patients participated in this study. It was revealed that 50.7% were females and 75.3% have been diagnosed with hyperglycemia. The average age of the respondents was 53.26 years. Observation of DFU characteristics showed that depth of wound was identified more in subcutaneous/ dermis to fatty tissue (40 patients; 54.8%) than in other layers. Moreover, our findings indicated that most of the respondents were identified at a severe level of the wound (55; 75.3%). It is concluded that DFU characteristics vary among patients with DM. Early identification and intensive surveillance are important to improve the management of DFU and to avoid lower limb amputation.

The study population was all elderly with hypertension at the Penumping Public Health Center with a sample of 54 people taken by accidental sampling. Data was collected using a research instrument in the form of a Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) questionnaire and analyzed using a correlative test that is a Kendall tau analysis. Correlative test results between sex and depression level showed a correlation value of 0.294 with p-value (p) = 0.028, which means there is a significant relationship between sex and depression level. Correlative test between the duration of hypertension and the level of depression showed a correlation value of 0.382 with p-value (p) = 0.004, which means there is a significant relationship between the duration of hypertension and the level of depression. Discussion : The occurrence of the degeneration process in the elderly can cause physical changes and changes in the social environment such as a low economy, loss of family members, inability to fill roles in society and risk of disease. Mount Merapi is a high volcanic activity mountain located in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Around Merapi, there are dense settlements so that volcanic particles will be inhaled and will cause respiratory problems. The study aims to determine the lung function in the population living in the Merapi zone. The study uses a quantitative method involving 32 respondents located at 15 Km from Merapi’s slope. Data collection was carried out for one week by the cross-sectional study. Descriptive data analysis on the short-term effects of volcanic ash exposure found that 50% of respondents experienced runny nose, 92.9% dry cough, 71.4% respiratory tract irritation at two weeks after exposure. Long-term effects found that 35.7% of respondents experienced cough with phlegm, 32.1% wheezing, 50% dyspnea, 50% shortness of breath gradation 5 according to MRC scale, and 82.1% experienced PEFR value decrease. Researchers suggest to routine health screening so that early detection of lung function can be reduced especially in the Merapi eruption zone.

Labor pain is a physiological condition that most experienced by all women giving birth. Labor pain of the active phase is caused by cervical dilatation and distention of the uterine corpus. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences of acupressure effect on the combination of BL32 (Ciliao) and LI4 (Hegu) points with BL32 (Ciliao) and SP6 points (Sanyinjiao) toward the intensity of labor pain. The research design used Quasy Experiment with the approach of Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design with the Purposive Sampling technique. The population of this study was all maternity women at PMB Siti Zulaikah Jogoroto Jombang. The sample in this study was 22 respondents who include to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The pain scale instrument used was the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). The data were analyzed by using Paired T-Test and Independent T-Test with α ≤ 0.05. The results have shown that there was an effect of acupressure in both intervention groups on the intensity of labor pain with a value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05). There were no differences in the influence between the two intervention groups (4.09 ± 1.044 vs 4.82 ± 0.982; p = 0.108 (p>0.05). Acupressure on BL32 (Ciliao) and LI4 (Hegu) point combinations with BL32 points (Ciliao) and SP6 point (Sanyinjiao) effectively reduce the intensity of labor pain so it can be used as an alternative non-pharmacological intervention in reducing labor pain intensity.
