Abstract

Every participation in the activity is always proven by the presence of a certificate. Issuance of certificates requires fees for paper, printing and distribution. The emergence of the era of paper less should be able to transform the presence of the certificate. Paper less is stopped by the presence of digital documents that can be accessed independently (portable), easily and across platforms. Portable Document Format or abbreviated as PDF one of the popular documents that can be distributed via the internet. So that PDF can be used as a document base to realize e-Certificate. However, it is necessary to develop a good application to facilitate the presence of the e-Certificate, and present solutions related to the authenticity of the certificates produced.

Abstract

Accident of some countries that have high gross domestic product (GDP) significantly increasing[1]. This event cause fatal for passengers especially if there an accident on the front vehicle[3]. Therefore, the main aspects of car design are very important, one of them is  crash box. Crash boxes are designed to absorb impact energy due to collisions through progressive buckling. In the crushing box design, the tube can be given continuity in the form of a circular hole that has been carried out by previous researchers which provides a deceleration at the safety level on passenger body. In this study a numerical analysis conducted using tube with ellipse discontinuity by varying the ratio of ellipse hole in the crushing box to D/b ratio 0.0, 0.2, 0.3, 0.5. The results of this study found that the tube with D/b 0.0 has the highest peak  force than the other ratio.

Abstract

At crossroads there is often a queue of vehicles that are not evenly distributed in each branch, but the length of the green light remains (not adaptive). So prototype was made to regulate the green light based on the number of vehicles with the help of the Fuzzy Logic Algorithm. Beginning with the next fuzzification stage with the help of the rule base to the defuzzification stage which produces a long green light. The results of the study, Fuzzy Logic algorithm can set the length of green light for each branch based on the number of vehicles. If a branch has more vehicles than other branches, the length of time for the green light on the branch is longer than the other branches. The percentage of error testing with theoretical calculations is 0.05% and the percentage of success is 99.95%.

Abstract

This research carried out the sandblasting process on used aluminum propeller castings with variations in sand grains: 40 mesh, 60 mesh, and 80 mesh with variations of 30 seconds, 60 seconds and 90 seconds. The size of the grain and the varying time result in different surface hardness. The biggest hardness on sandblasting with a grain size of 40 mesh time of 90 seconds is 39.8 VHN, 60 mesh time of 30 seconds is 38.6 VHN, 80 mesh time of 30 seconds is 37.1 VHN, from the photo macro the abrasion of the largest surface material occurs at grain size 40 mesh.

Abstract

One way to reduce the level of exhaust emissions is catalytic converter addition in the exhaust gas. The alternative material for catalytic converters is zeolite stone which is local material that is widely available in Gunungkidul Regency. This study aims to determine the effect of Gunungkidul zeolite catalytic converters on the absorption of motorbike engine exhaust emission. The side effects of motorbike performance is also evaluated. The results showed that the use of zeolite Gunungkidul stone as a catalytic converter can absorb CO (9,5% - 21,6%) and HC gases (15,5% - 63,9%) quite well and can meet the quality standards of motorcycle exhaust emissions but has side effects to reduce engine performance even though the decrease is relatively small (5%).

Abstract

Along with the rapid growth of the Internet, causing problem in the allocation of IPv4 addressing. Therefore, IPv4 only have less than 4 billion addresses and will soon be exhausted. Therefore, IPv6 has been created and used hexadecimal system on it addressing and has very large address allocation that is 3,4 x 1038 addresses. But now many network infrastructures in terms of hardware and software that have not fully support IPv6. So, the devices that still using IPv4 can through IPv6-based network infrastructures, they can use tunneling technique. This makes the emergence of the idea to test the delay and throughput in streaming video system which has a heavy workload on the network. Video streaming system on Vision 1.0 application takes advantage motor stepper webcam in order to support the visibility of the image that can be captured. Then the client who connected to the server can control remotely the motor stepper webcam. On the implementation phase, Vision 1.0 is running on IPv4 and IPv6 network. Next on the testing phase, carried out delay and throughput data collections from those both network systems. From the obtained results in testing, showed no significant difference. So, in general, the performance difference is not too pronounced when the video streaming system is running on both network systems. However, from a comparison based on mean value of delay and throughput, IPv4 is still superior due to the header of the data packet does not as big asIPv6 header which of course affects the packet data frame size, then the traffic network more crowded.

Abstract

Basa Walikan can be used as one of the methods in cryptography because the Basa Walikan character exchange process is not easily understood by all people who can speak Javanese. Basa Walikan used in this research  is Basa-Walikan in Yogyakarta, which is sourced from Javanese script characters written in a two-line countdown rule. In Roman characters it becomes ha, na, ca, ra, ka, da, ta, sa, wa, la, pa, dha, ja, yes, nya, ma, ga, ba, tha, nga. The characters in Javanese script are written in 4 (four) lines. The process of character reversal in Basa Walikan uses the mechanism of the first line exchanged with the third line and the second line is swapped to the fourth line as well as the opposite. In this research software for message safety with Basa Walikan was made. From the White Box and Black Box test results it can be concluded that the encryption process and the description process are in accordance with the design of the application being made. If the word being tested is two consonants m and p that are close together, then the encryption process and the description process is done separately or by character.

Abstract

Parallel processing is a process of calculating two or more tasks simultaneously through the optimization of the computer system resource, one treatment models is a desktop system. The model allows to perform parallel processing between computers with specifications different computers. An implementation of a model network of workstations using MPI (Message Passing Interface). In this study, applied to the case of the low-pass filtering (LPF), a process in the image or the image of the shape of the filter that retrieves the data at low frequencies. filtering programs lowpass using the cosine transform MPI implemented by modifying the algorithm in the process on each node (computer). Depending on the test results, so that the processing speed of a parallel system is influenced by the number of nodes / processes and the number of frequency components that are processed. In the treatment of single larger process, the time it takes more and more and the value prop affects only the amount of high frequency data is filtered on the field. While parallel processing of more and more computers involved in the filter calculation process low-pass, plus the time required to perform the calculation.

Abstract

The Geothermal power plant at PT Geodipa Dieng has been operating for more than 10 years. It has undergone for several improvements including the replacement of turbines where to increase turbine efficiency. Before changing the turbine, the efficiency of turbine has decreased due to several factors, such as decrease in load, maintenance, usage, the lifetime etc. Therefore it needs to be analyzed the effiency of the turbine to find out whether the turbine is still feasible or not, and to find out whether it has necessary to replace the turbine again. The result of the turbine generator efficiency are obtained in one year from April 2017 to March 2018 with an average value of 70-85%. Based on the literature, the value is still at the turbine efficiency standard in general, which is 60-80%. So the turbines can still be categorized reliably and do not need to be changed.

Abstract

Radar merupakan suatu alat pendeteksi dan pengatur lalu lintas pesawat diudara. Perawatan radar sangat penting terutama pada komponen-komponennya agar dapat beroperasi dengan baik tanpa ada kendala. Kerusakan yang terjadi  pada komponen Modul RPC 2000 pada Radar SSR yang beroperasi selama 24 jam akan mengakibatkan hilangnya target pesawat pada display controller ataulayartampilan pesawat di ruang ATC. Karena tindakan perawatan saat ini cenderung corrective maintenace. Oleh karena itu tindakan perawatan berkala merupakan hal yang penting dilaksanakan oleh teknisi agar modul dapat beroperasi sesuai dengan fungsinya. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) dengan menggunakan FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), Logic Tree Analysis (LTA), Task Selection untuk pemilihan tindakan kebijakan perawatan guna mengetahui dan menganalisa mode kegagalan yang terjadi dan memilih tindakan kebijakan perawatan yang lebih efisien.Dari hasil analisis FMEA diperoleh 12 mode kegagalan yaitu pada komponen modul smps switch on/off, bearing, spool motor, resistor, kapasitor, transistor, integrated circuit. Pada Logic Tree Analysis diperolehkategori mode kegagalan yaitu kategori B (outage). Kemudianpada tahapakhirTask Selection yaitu menentukan tindakan kebijakan perawatan. Sehingga rekomendasi perawatan  preventive yang tepat adalah 4 kebijakan perawatan Condition Directed (CD) dan 8 untuk kebijakan perawatan Run To Failure.
