Abstract

The cost of rejuvenating smallholder palm oil in the funding framework of the Badan Pengelola Dana Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit (BPDPKS) is currently IDR 30 million per hectare/planter, which is still less than what is needed. The objectives of this research are 1. To describe the activities of Rejuvenating People's Palm Oil Plantations in KUD Sawit Kita, 2. Identifying the components of utilization of costs for Rejuvenating People's Oil Palm Plantations in KUD Sawit Kita, 3. Analyzing and evaluating the efficiency of utilizing costs for Rejuvenating People's Oil Palm Plantations in KUD Sawit We, and 4. Formulate detailed costs for efficient rejuvenation of people's oil palm plantations for our palm oil cooperatives.  The research method uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. KUD Sawit Kita, founded in 1991, was the first institution to receive PSR fees within the BPDPKS framework in West Tanjung Jabung Regency. Activities for Rejuvenating People's Palm Oil Plantations in KUD Sawit Kita P0-P3 include clearing land, providing ready-to-plant seeds, providing basic fertilizer, building and planting ground cover crops, providing P1-P3 fertilizer, controlling pests and diseases, building and rehabilitating Soil Conservation Buildings and Water, infrastructure rehabilitation, and monitoring. Based on the research results, it was found that the costs for rejuvenating people's oil palm plantations in KUD Sawit Kita were sourced from BPDPKS and independent smallholders. Based on the Efficiency Benchmark (ETU) P0-P3 value of 0.554, the Community Oil Palm Plantation Rejuvenation activity in KUD Sawit Kita is efficient but technically the work is considered not. The formulation of costs for rejuvenating people's oil palm plantations in KUD Sawit. We ideally follow the technical recommendations of Good Agriculture Practice (GAP) which is IDR. 55,181,551,-/Ha. So the current costs for rejuvenating people's oil palm plantations, which are channeled through BPDPKS, are indeed not enough.

Abstract

Feed cost is the dominant component of production expenses in laying duck farming, accounting for approximately 60–70% of total production costs. PT Amar Farm Internasional has transitioned from using mixed feed to commercial complete feed. However, the complete feed used by the company tends to be relatively expensive in the Yogyakarta area. Therefore, the availability of more affordable feed from different brands has become a consideration in feed brand selection. This study aims: (1) to analyze the productivity of laying ducks fed with complete feed brand X and brand Y; and (2) measure the profitability of each feed brand to support the company's decision-making in feed selection. This research is an experimental study using a post-test only control group design. This research used two random groups; the treatment group received feed brand X (new feed), while the control group continued using feed brand Y (current feed). The analysis method applied was descriptive-quantitative, focusing on productivity and profitability aspects. The results indicated that feed brand X generated a higher profit compared to feed brand Y, with an average Gross Profit Margin (GPM) of 18.87% and Net Profit Margin (NPM) of 8.34% from August to December. Additionally, the average Duck Day Production (DDP) ranged from 0.32%-89.77%, the Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) was 2.73, and the total number of eggs produced was 9,905. Hence, feed brand X is recommended as a replacement for brand Y in the current cycle, and for exclusive use in future production cycles.

Abstract

Agricultural land in Indonesia is decreasing due to land conversion into housing and other public facilities.. The scarcity of agricultural land is especially felt in urban areas, so the remaining land must be utilized optimally and efficiently. Urban farming is an agricultural or plantation concept that is carried out using limited land. The principle of urban farming is any effort to utilize space or land that still exists in urban areas, such as yards, roofs or walls of houses. Urban agricultural cultivation methods can be carried out using verticulture, hydroponics, aquaponics, aeroponics, fruit plants in pots (tabulampot) or polybags, and others. The aim of this research is to study the concept of urban farming using several methods, namely: (1) polybags (2) vertical cultivation (3) wall plant bags (4) hydroponic Deep Flow Technique (DFT) in urban farming areas. The data used is data from the results of an Independent Certified Internship at the Center for Implementation of Standard Agricultural Instruments in Bengkulu which was carried out from September to January 2024. Analysis of the data used includes (1) profit (2) R/C Ratio (3) B/C Ratio (4) Break Event Point (BEP). Based on the conclusions of the analysis of pakcoy farming with an urban farming system using polybag, wall planter bag, verticulture, Hydroponic Deep Flow Tenchnique (DFT) techniques, it was stated that of the four pakcoy cultivation techniques there was one technique that was declared inefficient to carry out or not feasible because it has value. profit 20,688.89, R/C Ratio 1.35, B/C Ratio 0.35 and Break even point Product BEP 2.97 kg and Revenue BEP IDR 59,311.11 which is a smaller value.
