Abstract

The rapid development of information technology and currently it’s possible to send information quickly. Speed transmission of information is certainly very dependent on the size of the capacity of such information. The large size of the capacity of information could result in the slow process of delivery. Beside that, the size of a large information capacity would require a very large storage space. The solution to this problem is to compress the information before sending in order to measure the capacity of such information becomes smaller. While reverting to forms the initial compression is to perform decompression technique. Some digital image compression techniques have been developed as block-coding, encoding and more. Digital image compression techniques continue to be developed with the aim to compress the image data as small as possible, but at the moment none of the decompression image data is lost. Huffman method is one method that is able to compress and decompress the digital image. Image compression is the process to minimize the number of bits that represents an image so that the image data capacity becomes smaller. Huffman method is a method of digital image compression is lossless compression method that is by doing the encoding in the form of bits to represent character data. Each type of characters contained in an image is calculated and sort by the fewest amount to a large amount in the form of binary trees and code for each character. The existing data will be replaced with the code bits based on a binary tree. Data that has been turned into a bit of code stored as a result of compression.

Abstract

SISFO Akademik STIKOM Dinamika Bangsa Jambi was builded with supported by not good database design. It’s caused by the information need was responsed by building database incidentially without data model which can be used as a guide. The results are as like the lost of historical data, hard to make important information and difficult to integrating it with another information system. To fix those problems then needed to do a study to build a data model which can describe the academy domain activities which result of the analysis of it’s business process. In the building of the data model for SISFO Akademik STIKOM Dinamika Bangsa Jambi is parted in first two steps which are the conceptual and the logical step. For the data model result representation, ER diagram is used. So that with the data model, SISFO Akademik STIKOM Dinamika Bangsa Jambi could supported by a better integrated and better integrity database.

Abstract

Timbangan badan adalah salah satu peralatan yang digunakan dalam dunia kesehatan, timbangan badan yang terdapat dibeberapa pos pelayan terpadu dan puskesmas masih banyak yang menggunakan timbangan tradisional. Oleh karena itu diperlukan timbangan badan elektronik bersuara, karena nilai ketelitian timbangan elektronik bersuara ini lebih akurat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian perpustakaan, metode penelitian lapangan, dan metode penelitian laboratorium. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan membuat timbangan badan bersuara yang sederhana dengan menggunakan sensor Loadcell yang akan mendeteksi nilai berat badan manusia. Sebagai pengolah nilai berat dari sensor Loadcell digunakan Modul Arduino. Mikrokontroller ATmega328 yang terdapat dalam Modul Arduino akan mengolah data dari nilai tekanan sensor Loadcell untuk di tampilkan ke LCD dan suara ke Speker. Bahasa pemograman yang digunakan adalah bahasa C yang terdapat pada software Arduino. Dengan alat ini diharapkan penimbangan berat badan manusia lebih akurat dan lebih mudah. Sedangkan hasil pengujian dari rangkaian secara keseluruhan yaitu menampilkan berat yang terukur pada LCD dan menginformasikan berat yang terukur melalui Speker. Secara keseluruhan disimpulkan bahwa rancang bangun timbangan badan bersuara yang telah di buat sudah dapat bekerja dengan baik sesuai dengan yang di rancang.

Abstract

Tunarungu merupakan kelainan fisik yang dialami individu berupa ketidak mampuan mendengar baik sebagian maupun seluruhnya dimana penyandang tunarungu akan mengalami gangguan komunikasi secara lisan dengan orang-orang disekitarnya sehingga untuk mengatasinya penyandang tunarungu memanfaatkan bahasa isyarat untuk berkomunikasi.Akan tetapi berdasarkan hasil survey sekitar 87% dari 69 penyandang tunarungu menyatakan masih kesulitan berkomunikasi dengan orang disekitar mereka dikarenakan ketidak mampuan orang disekitar mereka menggunakan dan memahami bahasa isyarat yang mereka gunakan. Guna memecahkan masalah tersebut, penulis merancang sebuah aplikasi yang memanfaatkan Speech Recognition agar dapat membantu penyandang tunarungu untuk berkomunikasi dengan orang sekitar atau sebaliknya.Penelitian ini berhasil menghasilkan aplikasi “Deaf Communicator” yang dapat membantu komunikasi antara penyandang tunarungu dan sebaliknya.

Abstract

Sistem pelayanan penasehat akademis pada institusi STMIK Amik Riau masih dilakukan secara konvensional. Dosen tidak mengetahui data-data mahasiswa bimbingannya secara detail karena tidak ada data rekaman jejak konsultasi yang dikelola dengan baik. Untuk memudahkan pemantauan terhadap mahasiswa bimbingannya dibutuhkan sisem informasi penasehat akademis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sistem informasi penasehat akademis yang dapat terintegrasi denga sistem yang telah ada sebelumnya. Pada penelitian dilakukan metode pengumpulan data dan identifikasi masalah, perancangan global, perancangan antarmuka, perancangan database, perancangan classdiagram, implementasi program dengan Framework Model View Controller menggunakan CodeIgniter. Penelitian ini telah berhasil menerapkan teknologi pemograman MVC menggunakan framework codeigniter pada aplikasi sistem penasehat akademis (SIMPA) yang dapat terintegrasi dengan sistem yang telah berjalan dilingkungan STMIK Amik Riau.

Abstract

Selama ini proses penentuan topik skripsi mahasiswa dilakukan secara manual. Yakni baik dosen yangmemberi masukan atau ide yang diperoleh dari berbagai makalah penelitian. Dalam arti kata, proses yangtelah berjalan masih tradisional dan manual tanpa menggunakan sistem yang terkomputerisasi.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian sebelumnya, terdapat korelasi antara nilai mahasiswa pada matakuliahtertentu dengan topik skripsi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut peneliti mencoba membangun sebuah sistemyang mampu membantu mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Komputer (STIKOM) untuk menentukan topikskripsi yang akan diambil. Sistem yang dibangun dalam penelitian ini merupakan sistem yangmemberikan penentuan topik skripsi mahasiswa berdasarkan nilai mata kuliah yang telah dicapaimahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ini berupa sistem penentuan topik skripsi mahasiswa menggunakan EMClustering dengan Algoritma Naïve Bayes yang mampu memberi contoh referensi topik skripsi.

Abstract

Mirabella Batik Jambi is a business engaged in the sale of Jambi typical batik with various types of materials such as atbm, silk, semi silk, sanwos and cotton. The system runs now where consumers still have to come directly to the store to purchase the product. Constraints faced by the store today is difficult to market or sell its products outside the city or region and can only market it in jambi region alone, the lack of new product information updates, and it affects the lack of maximum income store. The purpose of this study to design ansystem e-commerce to support the sales process that can make reservations online and provide information up todate.The method used is a method of analysis that is done by literature study, data collection (observation).Development methodmethod waterfall and emphasis UML. Types of e-commerce that is used is Business to Customer (B2C). This research resulted in anapplication e-commerce for Mirabella Batik Jambi stores to facilitate costumer to see the product in detail and make a reservation without having to come to the store simply by accessing the web site e-commerce store Mirabella Batik Jambi

Abstract

Information quality of an information system required three aspects: the input, process, and output. If one of the three aspects is not executed properly then the resulting information will be distorted and will not be in accordance with academic needs so that there will be various losses both from the aspect of prospective students concerned and academics who manage the data of new students. STIKOM Dinamika Bangsa Jambi is one of the campuses that move in computer science education in jambi. In the past, the new student admissions activities are still offline and fill out the forms provided by the committee. Currently, STIKOM Dinamika Bangsa Jambi has created a new student admissions information system and is online in supporting and simplify prospective students in registering themselves as students at STIKOM Dinamika Bangsa Jambi. Therefore, this study aims to measure the maturity level of information systems of new admissions STIKOM Dinamika Bangsa Jambi using Monitor, Evaluate and Assess (MEA01) domain with interview method and questionnaire of Process Capability Model (PCM), so it can be known the current condition (as is) with the expected conditions (to be) by prospective new students who want to register as well as the internal STIKOM Dinamika Bangsa Jambi namely Front Office and Biro Administrasi Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan (BAAK).

Abstract

Bengkel HMS motor is a bussiness that sells spare parts, oil and serve the service of motor service. In stock replenishment parts repair shop is buying spare parts, oil from supplier.Namun, in the activity of all transactions are still recorded manually. In the transaction service or customer acceptance only rely on paper transaction proof, so that on service service process still often happened error of transaction and stock data. Based on that, hence this research formulate problem to build an information system application which function as recording, monitoring, until processing data of HMS Motor Workshop. The first stage of literature study on information system, uml modeling, oop, code igniter and mysql. The next stage is the process of collecting data. This process is done by collecting workshop transaction data, transaction processing manually. As for system modeling method used using UML (Unified Modeling Language). After the design is completed next is the construction of an information system application that serves as the recording, monitoring, until data processing on repair services that exist in the Workshop HMS Motor.Proses include the design of user interface, coding and testing. To evaluate output results, the system will be tested using blackboxtesting testing. And the last is the stage of preparing reports after the research activities produce a system result, evaluation and analysis.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to introduce folklore and tales which shaped Jambi’s culture today. As the world is getting more and more accustomed to more sophisticated and advanced technology, our children tend to forget cultural inheritance and prefer to spend their time on mobile phones. The research methodologies that are applied in this research are, in sequential order: Literature study, observation, application design, and acceptance test, which will ultimately yield an application to serve the purpose of this research. The new application will allow a more attractive delivery of folklores and legend of Jambi people via interactive comics with a unique drawing style. The application will also be one of the many medias to preserve the folklores as well as the history behind the lore itself.
