Abstract

Local beef cattle is still the major source of domestic beef consumption, yet their productivity and quality is relatively low. This study was aimed to investigate productivity and meat quality traits of local beef cattle through fattening using cereals based concentrate containing different energy level. Nine Ongole cattle with average initial liveweight of 254.67 ± 20.7 kg and age between I1-I2 permanent incisor teeth were used in the study. They were fattened for four months and alloted into three different energy rations; they were low (ER) 57.88% TDN, medium (ES) 63.72% TDN, and high (ET) 69.67% TDN. The three rations had simmilar protein contents, between 12.42-12.96%. Observed parameters included cattle performance (ration and nutrition dry mater intake, daily gain, and feed conversion), carcass traits (carcass weight and percentage, fat thickness, and loin eye area at the 12th rib), and meat quality traits (pH, water holding capacity, tenderness, cooking loss, marbling score, and meat color). The results showed that cattle fed with high energy (ET) ration had the highest body weight and marbling score, and more efficient in feed conversion than medium (ES) and low energy (ER) rations. Local beef cattle productivity and there meat quality could be improve through fattening using high energy cereals based concentrate.

Abstract

Desain of Agricultural Innovation Support Strategy in The National Border Area of Aceh Besar District Based on AHP-SWOT Integration. The research was conducted at Pulo Aceh Sub District, Aceh Besar District. The objective of this study is to obtain the design of development national border area at Aceh Besar District based on integration of AHP-SWOT analysis. In this study system approach was applied because of complexity problem and using expert survey.  Numbers expert were 5 with background from researcher, academics and practitioners. The result of study showed that strength aspects consisted of aviability and suitability (0.623), weakness was lack of facilities (0.54), opportunity was availability of agricultural technology innovations (0,67) and threat were migration (0.80) and the absence of institutional agricultural systems (0.2). Strategy options can be used based on priority scales to develop national border area at Aceh Besar District are (1) Optimizing agriculture land by innovation (0.31), (2) Increasing of farmers’ capacity by technically guide of farming system and (3) Providing technical guide for farmers to determine priority scale of agricultural business (0.18). Keywords: border area, agriculture innovation, AHP-SWOT ABSTRAK Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Pulo Aceh, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Tujuan studi adalah menghasilkan rancang bangun dukungan inovasi pertanian wilayah perbatasan di Kabupaten Aceh Besar berbasis integrasi AHP-SWOT. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah sistem karena kompleksitas kegiatan yang melibatkan beberapa pemangku kepentingan. Pakar yang terlibat berjumlah 5 orang dengan latar belakang peneliti, akademisi dan praktisi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kekuatan adalah ketersediaan dan kesesuaian lahan (0,623), kelemahan adalah keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana pertanian (0,54), peluang dicerminkan dari tersedianya inovasi teknologi pertanian spesifik lokasi (0,67) serta ancaman adalah migrasi penduduk (0,80) dan belum adanya kelembagaan sistem pertanian (0,2). Opsi strategi yang ditawarkan berdasarkan skala prioritas untuk pembangunan wilayah perbatasan di Kabupaten Aceh Besar adalah (1) Melakukan optimalisasi lahan pertanian dengan inovasi teknologi pertanian, bobot (0,31), (2) Melakukan Peningkatan Kapasitas petani melalui bimbingan teknis sistem usaha tani (0,22), dan (3) Melakukan bimbingan teknis kepada petani dalam menentuan skala prioritas usaha pertanian (0,18).Kata kunci: wilayah perbatasan, inovasi pertanian, AHP-SWOT

Abstract

National soybean productivity was reach 1,45 tons per hectare, while the potential yield reach 2,0-3,0 tons per hectare. The aim of this study was to analyze the factors affecting technical efficiency, and sources of technical inefficiency of soybean farming. This study used primary data that were obtained from 100 farmers purposively, those data were analyzed by production function analysis that stochastic frontier to analyzed the factors that influence the production of technical efficiency of soybean farming. The results showed that the variable land, solid fertilizer, liquid fertilizer, pesticide solid, liquid pesticides, and labor have a positive impact, while the variable seed has a negative impact on technical efficiency of soybean farming. The source of technical inefficiency such as the age of the farmer, and experience farming soybean have negative and significant impact on technical inefficiency of soybean farming. Otherwise, the formal education, old farming, the number of dependents, and the dummy variable (following the extension and land type) have a positive impact but not significant to technical inefficiency of soybean farming in Pidie Jaya, Aceh Province.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to introduce folklore and tales which shaped Jambi’s culture today. As the world is getting more and more accustomed to more sophisticated and advanced technology, our children tend to forget cultural inheritance and prefer to spend their time on mobile phones. The research methodologies that are applied in this research are, in sequential order: Literature study, observation, application design, and acceptance test, which will ultimately yield an application to serve the purpose of this research. The new application will allow a more attractive delivery of folklores and legend of Jambi people via interactive comics with a unique drawing style. The application will also be one of the many medias to preserve the folklores as well as the history behind the lore itself.

Abstract

This paper presents numerical and experimental study of the heat transfer on fins-tube heat exchanger that was employed as an air cooled condenser of the air conditioning system. In this case change of phase occurs on refrigerant side while air remain at gas phase. The proposed numerical analysis is based on the application of mass and energy balances implemented at a small control volume that is part of the condenser. The result of numerical evaluation was then compared with the experimental observation. A good agreement between experimental and numerical results was achieved and the numerical method is proposed that to be used as a tool for fins tube condenser design.

Abstract

In this case, change of phase occurred both on air and refrigerant. The proposed numerical analysis is based on the application of mass and energy balances implemented at small control volumes that were part of evaporator. The result of numerical evaluation was then compared to the experimental observation. A good agreement between experimental and numerical results was achieved and the proposed numerical method also could be used as a tool in designing fins tube heat exchanger with phase change in both fluids.

Abstract

Firms that want to survive have to compete more in formulating the strategy of offering and selling the company's products, and advanced companies are companies that are able to keep up with the times, customer behavior changes, and of course technological advancement. This research aims to know to know the influence of customer involvement and brand trust of buying interest and purchasing decisions on Eiwa instagram account. The type of research used in this study is quantitative approach. The quantitative approach bases the study of empirical rational principles. Before doing research the researcher must find the problem and hypothesis to be tested based on specified criteria and path analysis tool that is Smart PLS to know variable relation. The result of the research shows that for direct influence, customer involvement has a positive and significant effect on buying interest, brand trust has positive but not significant effect on buying interest, customer involvement has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decision, brand trust has positive and significant influence on purchasing decision product, while buying interest has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decision of Brand Eiwa product. As for indirect influence, buying interest may mediate the influence of Customer Engagement on product purchasing decisions positively and significantly while Buy Interest can not mediate the influence of Brand Trust on Brand Eiwa product purchase decision positively and significantly.

Abstract

Currently the development of banking services is growing so rapidly because banking is one part of financial institutions that play a very important role for the smooth economic activities of a country. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of Service Quality, Commitment, and Customer Confidence Against Customer Satisfaction And Loyalty At PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Makassar Area Raya. The type of research used in this study is quantitative approach. The quantitative approach bases the study of empirical rational principles. The quantitative approach bases the study of empirical rational principles. Therefore, before doing research the researcher must find the problem and hypothesis to be tested based on the criteria specified and the analytical tool used is Smart PLS 2.0. The results showed that partially, the quality of service, commitment, and customer confidence have a positive and significant impact on satisfaction. Furthermore, service quality variables, commitment, customer trust and satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. The indirect effect indicates that satisfaction can mediate the influence of service quality, commitment, and trust of customer to customer loyalty of PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Makassar Area Raya positively and significantly.

(2) know the influence of the knowledge management process on performance of employees of PT. Bank Sulselbar. (3) find out the influence of the knowledge-sharing process on performance of employees of PT. Bank Sulselbar. (4) find out the influence of innovation against the performance of the employees of PT. Bank Sulselbar. (5) find out the influence of the quality of learning against competing superiority of PT. Bank Sulselbar. (6) know how the process of management of knowledge against the competitive advantage of PT. Bank Sulselbar. (7) find out the influence of the knowledge-sharing process against competing superiority of PT. Bank Sulselbar. (8) Knowing the influence of innovation against competing superiority of PT. In this study researchers using experimental research using appropriate research methods and emphasis on the analysis of data in the form of the ordinal numbers are processed with statistical methods. Data collection methods used in this research is a Library Research, and Feel research. The technique of analysis used in this study is to test the validity, reliability testing, descriptive analysis, and path analysis. The results of this study suggest that (1) the quality of learning significant effect on performance of employees. (2) knowledge management processes significant effect on performance of employees. (3) the process of knowledge sharing effect significantly to the performance of the employee. (4) Innovation has no effect on performance of employees. (5) the quality of learning effect significantly to the competitive advantage of employees. (6) knowledge management processes significant competitive advantage against influential employees. Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of service quality and trust on the consumers' loyalty through consumer satisfaction directly and indirectly. The research was conducted at PO Borlindo by taking passengers as a research object. This research draft uses quantitative descriptive research with direct observation in the field. Research data form primary and secondary data from the company. Data is processed and analyzed by path analysis methods with IBM-SPSS. The results showed that the Service quality and trust positively affect consumer satisfaction and consumer loyalty directly. Trust had a positive effect on consumers' loyalty through consumer satisfaction. The hypothesis testing shows that the service quality variable is the variable with the lowest level of influence among other variables on consumer loyalty at PO Borlindo.
