Abstract

Currently, the use of Internet technology is overgrowing. With the current pandemic conditions, a student or worker must carry out activities remotely using the internet network, especially the Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) network. This research describes the performance comparison of a WLAN network using 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies in the tethering process on smartphones. Determining the performance of a WLAN network that works at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies will be focusing of this study. The study of literature, the internet, and observation for data collection is the method used in this study. Quality of Service (QOS) measures the performance of the two WLAN networks with parameters including throughput, packet loss, and delay values. This network performance test was carried out using scenarios in urban and rural areas in the WLAN network tethering process with a frequency of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. This wireless LAN network comparison analysis process uses Wireshark supporting software to maximize measurement. The results of measurements using the QOS parameter are then analyzed, and whether the category of good or bad wireless LAN network performance quality uses the TIPHON standard is known.

Abstract

In a university that has an informatics profile, a computer laboratory is needed. The laboratory is also an important facility for practicing the application of the theory that has been learned. Therefore, a laboratory head is needed who has competence in managing the laboratory so that learning is more effective. However, what happened was that the head of the laboratory who was elected did not have competence because the selection system was subjective so that it could not solve the existing problems. Therefore we need a decision support system in selecting the head of the computer laboratory. The method used in making this decision is the weighted product (WP) because this method can solve multiple withdrawals and easier calculations, and the time for calculations is shorter than other decision-making methods. after ranking with existing calculations, the results obtained from the calculation of the Weighted Product (WP) method with the highest value are in alternative A2 with the name Gery Mivano, S, T with a value of 0.374910. These results can make it easier for academics to make decisions for heads of computer laboratories who have competence in solving existing laboratory problems so that practical learning in computer laboratories can be more effective. Abstract

Sentiment analysis is an activity that is used to analyze public opinion about an incident such as the Ministry of Education and Culture's internet assistance quota during the Covid-19 pandemic through one of the Twitter social media. Twitter is a microblogging platform that is used to write an opinion or opinion about an event that can be used as a source of data used. The Naïve Bayes method and Support Vector Machine (SVM) are methods with a Machine Learning approach that can be used to perform sentiment analysis on Kemdikbudristek policies regarding MoEC Quotas in the process of classifying a tweet based on its emotional level and knowing the accuracy comparison between the Naïve Bayes method and the Support Vector Machine ( SVM). The results of the sentiment analysis process using the Naïve Bayes Algorithm and Support Vector Machine (SVM) based on public opinion, in this case Twitter users regarding the Ministry of Education and Culture Quota policies, resulted in a higher level of accuracy for the Support Vector Machine (SVM) than Naïve Bayes with an accuracy of 80%, for an average -the average precision value is 80.3%, recall is 80.3% and f1-score is 80.3%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a machine learning-based application capable of detecting hand gestures and patterns in Indonesian Sign Language (BISINDO). Sign language plays a crucial role in non-verbal communication, particularly for individuals with speech impairments like the deaf. However, the challenge of comprehending sign language often inhibits interactions between the deaf and others. In an effort to address this barrier, the research leverages machine learning techniques with a focus on the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method, utilizing a dataset annotated with hand gesture landmarks. Landmark information providing detailed positions and shapes of key points on the hand, the CNN model can learn specific features essential for classification. The resulting application aims to bridge communication between the deaf and other individuals who may not understand sign language. By harnessing this technology, a significant improvement in the accuracy of hand gesture classification in sign language is anticipated, thereby strengthening the communication and interaction capabilities of the deaf within their environment.

Abstract

The puerperium is a period after childbirth or can also be interpreted as a period of recovery in which the reproductive organs will undergo changes such as pre-pregnancy conditions by taking approximately 6 weeks. Nowadays, often the main focus for mothers and babies is on pregnancy and childbirth, while during the postpartum period a mother is also susceptible to diseases such as endometritis, metritis, mastitis, breast abscess, urinary tract infection, thromboplebitis, perineal wound infection, post SC wound infection, postpartum hemorrhage and baby blues which can get worse if not handled properly. The purpose of this study is to implement the Dempster Shafer method in an expert system application and test the accuracy of the system in identifying diseases that can attack during the postpartum period and provide treatment solutions from the diagnosis results. This expert system application produces outputs or diagnoses in the form of possible diseases suffered based on complaints or symptoms experienced by patients and displays the amount of confidence value in the disease obtained from calculations using Dempster Shafer. This system is tested using accuracy testing where a comparison is made between the results of the system diagnosis and the results of the expert diagnosis. The system accuracy rate in this study reached 93%, which shows a high level of reliability in providing the right diagnosis.Keywords: Postpartum Diseases, Expert System, Dempster Shafer

Abstract

This study discusses the application of information technology-based stock management information systems at CV. Makmur Sejahtera is a trading company that focuses on air compressor trading. Currently, the company still uses a manual stock management system, which causes several problems, including delays, inaccurate stock data, and errors in recording. The waterfall method is used as a systematic approach in software development. The steps taken include needs analysis, planning, modeling, construction, and handing over the system to the user. Based on the needs analysis, the interface design is created using the Unified Modeling Language (UML), including Use Case Diagrams and Class Diagrams. The proposed information system has various features, including the management of users with different access rights, tracking stock data in real time, monitoring incoming and outgoing goods, and generating invoices. It is hoped that with the implementation of this system, CV. Makmur Sejahtera can improve efficiency and accuracy in its stock management so that it can compete better in the global market.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a prototype of the Community Health Center Online Registration Information System (SIROP) at the Aurduri Health Center, Jambi City. SIROP is a web-based system that is integrated with a database to optimize the patient registration process and improve access to health services at the puskesmas. The Aurduri Health Center as one of the health service units in Jambi City is tasked with providing basic health services to the community. However, the registration process is still manual, causing potential disruption to the efficiency and accessibility of health services. In developing this SIROP prototype, we focused on general patient registration modules, schedule management, and automatic queue numbering. Data for system development was collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires to medical staff and patients in order to understand the needs and problems that exist in the ongoing manual registration process. After the prototype was successfully developed, a performance test was carried out using the application and Blackbox testing with the help of the Catalon Study software. It is hoped that with the adoption of the SIROP prototype, patient waiting times can be reduced and medical resources can focus on better health services

Abstract

After the pandemic, the use of e-learning was not mandatory at University X, due to the return to offline lectures, so that the use of applications that had been built were not used optimally as the EDMODO application which was used previously as University X's e-learning system. This change in conditions did not only occur in X University but also elsewhere. This change in conditions has led to the need for research related to the impact of post-pandemic use on e-learning that is currently used by students and lecturers at University X. This research was conducted quantitatively using a questionnaire with a system usability scale instrument with respondents from the academic community at University X. Based on the calculations made the value of SUS e-learning at University X was 68.97. This value states that the system currently used is categorized as good enough. However, the SUS value of the e-learning system currently used is lower than the value obtained in previous studies using EDMODO as an e-learning application.

Abstract

Currently there are 38 smartphone applications for parents in monitoring the growth and development of children (toddlers) on the Google Playstore, but until now there has not been a single application recommendation that parents must install and there has been no systematic assessment of application quality during use. Of the 38 applications, a selection was made using several criteria and 11 applications met the criteria for further evaluation. This study aims to assess the quality of children's growth and development applications (falling) objectively with the method used, namely the Mobile Application Rating Scale (MARS) which has been validated with 5 subscales namely involvement, functionality, aesthetics, information, and subjective quality. The relationship between overall application quality and user ratings and the number of downloads was evaluated by three assessors, namely application users for more than one year, ordinary users who have just downloaded the application, and coders (parties from the puskesmas). The results of the research from 11 applications that meet the criteria, the average MARS score of the application is 3.5. Although there are many smartphone applications that parents can download, there are three recommended applications, namely About Children. My Prima, and Pregnant Friends. The About Children application has the highest MARS score of 4.36, this application has received a perfect rating of 5.0 since it was officially developed in 2017. The About Children application has been downloaded more than 500 thousand and was developed jointly with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Culture, and also the BKKBN.

Abstract

Assessment in the form of multiple choices is very easy to do, but not for assessment in the form of descriptions or sentences. In the SIMAT application at the University of Madura, there is a feature for student comments on course lecturers in the form of sentences. Students fill in comments at the end of each semester. Until now, the results of the assessment of student comments have never been given. Sentiment Analysis is one of the techniques in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP) that studies attitudes, feelings, judgments and people's emotions about something. By using Sentiment Analysis on student comments, it can quickly provide results whether the accumulated student ratings are positive, negative or neutral. This research has succeeded in giving sentiment analysis values to student comments and displaying them in graphical and wordcloud form. From the trial data for 1 course with 21 students who filled in comments, the resulting sentiment analysis value was positive 12, neutral 9, and negative 0 with a value of accuracy, precision, recall and f1 score of 100%.
