Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

The digital era has brought significant transformations to the education sector, particularly in the role of elementary school teachers as learning facilitators. Teachers are required to possess adequate digital literacy skills that align with the demands of modern learning. This is essential for enabling teachers to adapt to the characteristics of students who are part of the digital generation and to integrate technology effectively and creatively into the learning process. However, many teachers still face challenges such as low levels of digital literacy, limited infrastructure, and a lack of motivation and support from the school environment. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a literature review approach to analyze the problems faced by teachers in implementing digital learning technologies in elementary schools. The findings indicate that teacher competencies include the ability to design digital learning media, utilize social media, and use search engines to find learning resources. The main issues involve the inability to master digital applications, limited technological facilities, and heavy workloads. Therefore, training, adequate facilities, government support, as well as innovation and collaboration among teachers are needed to enhance the quality of digital learning. Overall, improving teachers’ digital competencies is crucial for creating innovative and high-quality learning processes in the context of digital-era education, ultimately contributing to the advancement of primary education quality.

Ditengah upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, keterbatasan sumber belajar yang menarik dan interaktif di sekolah dasar dianggap sebagai hambatan terbesar yang harus diatasi. Tujuan riset ini ingin mengembangkan e-modul belajar matematika berbasis Problem Based Learning pada materi bangun ruang untuk siswa kelas 5 Sekolah Dasar menggunakan Google Sites. Riset ini bermetode Research and Development (R&D) dengan bermodel pengembangan ADDIE. Untuk menganalisa datanya akan menerapkan metode kuantitatif serta kualitatif melalui lembar validasi ahli media dan materi, angket respon siswa, serta wawancara. Hasil validasi menilai kelayakan, angket murid menetapkan kepraktisan, serta hasil pre-posttest mengukurkan keefektifan. Didapati validasi ahli materi 96,6%, lalu dari ahli media 96,3%, kedua hasil validasinya memperoleh rerata 96,4% yang dianggap sangat layak. Di buktikan ada peningkatan dari kedua test yang dilaksanakan sejumlah 45,7, dengan rerata N-gain 0,717, yang dikategorikan tinggi. Persepsi murid pada e-modul mencapai 88,14%, yang tergolong sangat baik. hasilnya membuktikan jika e-modul yang dikembangkan efektif, praktis serta layak untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar murid kelas 5 sekolah dasar.Kata kunci: e-modul, problem based learning, bangun ruang.

In this study, problems were found related to the low motivation to learn mathematics of sixth grade students of SD Negeri 010 Sepaku which was seen from the results of observations and the average initial motivation questionnaire score which showed that most students still considered mathematics as a difficult, scary, and boring subject. This study aims to develop innovative learning media in the form of a Cerdasionaire game combined with the TGT model as a solution to increase students' motivation to learn mathematics. The method used in this study is the 4D Research and Development (R&D) model which includes Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and learning motivation questionnaires, then analyzed descriptively quantitatively. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the application of the TGT model assisted by the Cerdasionaire game has a positive impact on increasing motivation to learn mathematics as seen in the increase in the average motivation score from 17.80 in the pretest to 26.47 in the posttest or an increase of 48.69%. In addition, students' responses to the use of the Cerdasionaire game were in the very high category, with a percentage of 84.17%. This shows that the TGT model combined with the Cerdasionaire game is effective in creating a fun, competitive, and interactive learning atmosphere so that it can increase elementary school students' motivation to learn mathematics.

This classroom action research aims to improve students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education, particularly on the theme of social responsibility at home and in the surrounding environment, through the implementation of the Value-Reflective Learning Model (VRLM). The study was conducted in class 2C at SDN Demangan 1 Bangkalan over two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through tests, observations, interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The findings show that VRLM effectively facilitated students’ reflection on personal experiences, strengthened their moral awareness, and helped them connect Pancasila values with daily life situations. Students’ learning outcomes increased significantly, with the average score improving from 63.62 in the pre-cycle to 82.24 in Cycle I, and 95.52 in Cycle II. The percentage of students achieving mastery also rose from 24% in the pre-cycle to 93% in Cycle I, and reached 100% in Cycle II. These results indicate that VRLM not only enhances students’ cognitive understanding but also supports the internalization of social responsibility values, making learning more meaningful and learner-centered. Overall, the implementation of VRLM proved effective in improving learning quality and strengthening character education in Pancasila learning for elementary school students.

Krisis karakter senang belajar pada peserta didik sekolah dasar menjadi perhatian penting di era digital saat ini. Rendahnya minat belajar dan keterlibatan aktif anak dalam pembelajaran menunjukkan perlunya inovasi media yang dapat menumbuhkan semangat belajar yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan buku teks karakter senang belajar melalui peradaban alat komunikasi berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL) menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes dan non-tes yang dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 51 anak sekolah dasar di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, yang terbagi ke dalam kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku teks yang dikembangkan memperoleh rerata skor validasi 3,79 dengan kategori “sangat baik” serta efektif dalam menumbuhkan karakter senang belajar, dengan nilai N-Gain sebesar 70,15% (kategori tinggi). Analisis z-score menunjukkan rerata kelompok eksperimen 0,68 dan kelompok kontrol -0,71, dengan perbedaan paling signifikan pada indikator “minat terhadap hal baru” (eksperimen 1,40; kontrol -1,01) dan “alokasi waktu yang efektif” (eksperimen 0,92; kontrol -2,03). Konsistensi penilaian antar penilai yang tinggi dibuktikan dengan nilai Krippendorff’s Alpha rerata 0,717 (kategori tinggi). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PjBL melalui tema peradaban alat komunikasi mampu meningkatkan minat, komitmen, dan ketekunan anak dalam belajar secara signifikan.

Behavioral counseling therapy is one of the intervention services to reduce negative behavior of students with physical disabilities in the school environment. The purpose of this study is to determine the type of behavioral counseling provided by schools to students with physical disabilities as a form of intervention to reduce negative behavior at Aik Dewa 01 Public Elementary School; analyze the challenges faced by schools in providing physiotherapy services for students with physical disabilities; and provide a solution on how schools overcome these obstacles. This study used a qualitative method with a single case study approach. The research instrument used human instruments with data collection techniques using interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The research data analysis used the Miles and Huberman qualitative analysis model with the stages of data collection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of behavioral counseling services is carried out by professionals with a background as a physiotherapist. Meanwhile, obstacles faced in the implementation of behavioral counseling services include obstacles during the initial assessment process and during service implementation.

Embryogenesis in plants represents the developmental process that establishes the body plan and fundamental tissue organization from a single fertilized cell, the zygote. This process involves a series of tightly regulated events that include asymmetric cell division, genetic signaling, hormonal regulation, and tissue differentiation leading to the establishment of the root, shoot, and vascular systems. Recent advances in molecular biology and microscopy have provided new insights into how spatial and temporal gene expression contributes to early pattern formation. This literature study aims to examine the patterns and current problems in the development of basic structural organization during plant embryogenesis. Based on the review of recent studies, it is evident that genes such as WOX, YODA, GNOM, and MONOPTEROS play essential roles in cell fate determination and polarity establishment, while the phytohormone auxin acts as a central morphogen controlling the formation of the embryonic axis. Furthermore, epigenetic regulation, including DNA methylation and histone modification, has been shown to influence embryogenic competence in various plant species. Current challenges include limited visualization of the earliest zygotic stages, species-specific variations in developmental patterns, and the difficulty of elucidating molecular mechanisms underlying somatic embryogenesis. This review contributes to understanding the fundamental molecular and physiological mechanisms of plant development and provides valuable insights for biotechnological applications such as somatic embryo induction, genetic transformation, and large-scale plant regeneration systems.

The role of parents in children's education at the elementary level significantly influences learning success and character development. This study aims to analyze the forms of parental participation, identify existing barriers, and formulate strategies to enhance their involvement in children’s education. The research employs a literature study method by reviewing relevant sources such as books, journals, and scientific articles. The results indicate that the level of parental participation in Indonesia remains moderate, with most involvement focused on financial support rather than academic or emotional guidance. Forms of participation include assisting with learning, providing motivation, supervision, and collaboration with schools. Collaborative strategies between schools and parents through effective communication and sustainable partnership programs are essential to improving the quality of elementary education.

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by comic strip media on elementary school students’ reading comprehension skills. The research employed a pretest–posttest control group design. Class 5A served as the experimental group, while Class 5B served as the control group. Pretest and posttest data were analyzed descriptively to determine improvements in learning outcomes. The results showed that the experimental class experienced a greater increase in scores compared to the control class. The average pretest score of the experimental class was 12.44 and increased to 17.77 in the posttest, while the control class increased from 16.67 to 16.92. These findings indicate that the implementation of PBL assisted by comic strip media is more effective in improving students’ reading comprehension skills than conventional learning.

A multicultural society that communicates ethically and effectively plays an important role in maintaining social harmony. Sumbang kato, as a norm of polite speech in Minangkabau culture, makes a significant contribution to shaping courteous communication that respects diversity. However, with the increasingly developed times and the increase in cross-cultural interaction, this research aims to investigate how to internalize the value of "sumbang kato" as the basis of communication ethics in shaping the character of students at the multicultural SD IT Sabbihisma. The values of the "sumbang" words in Minangkabau culture contain teachings about politeness, respect, and balance in communication, which are in line with the principles of ethical communication. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collection methods including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving educators and students from diverse cultural backgrounds at the school. The findings of the study indicate that internalizing the values of "sumbang kato" thru the learning process, the example set by educators, and the habit of polite communication in the school environment can foster mutual respect and reduce intercultural conflict. These values not only strengthen the character of the students but also play an important role in creating harmonious communication ethics amidst the existing diversity.
