Abstract

The bond between parents and children is the main foundation in early childhood development. A warm, secure, and comfortable emotional bond will help build children’s psychological well-being. One way to build a strong bond between parents and children is through simple activities such as storytelling using kamishibai. This study aims to describe the process and experiences of parents participating in interactive storytelling workshops using kamishibai as a means of strengthening the bond between parents and children. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the use of kamishibai media greatly contributes to parents’ storytelling abilities and strengthens the emotional bond between parents and children. The use of kamishibai media creates warmer, more responsive, and communicative interactions, as well as creating moments of greater closeness between parents and children.

Abstract

Pendidikan politik merupakan salah satu upaya penting dalam membentuk karakter demokratis pada peserta didik, terutama di lingkungan sekolah sebagai ruang sosial yang berperan dalam menanamkan nilai, sikap, dan perilaku kewarganegaraan. Lebih dari sekadar penyampaian materi, pendidikan politik merupakan proses pembentukan budaya demokrasi yang mendorong siswa untuk memahami hak dan kewajiban, menghargai perbedaan, berpartisipasi dalam pengambilan keputusan, serta mampu menerapkan nilai musyawarah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam laporan mini riset ini adalah bagaimana implementasi pendidikan politik dilakukan di SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan serta sejauh mana proses tersebut berkontribusi dalam membentuk karakter demokratis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dan observasi. Landasan teori digunakan sebagai panduan agar fokus penelitian sesuai dengan fenomena yang terjadi di lapangan, sementara analisis dilakukan secara sistematis berdasarkan temuan empiris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pendidikan politik di SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan telah berjalan melalui pembelajaran PPKn, kegiatan OSIS, pemilihan ketua kelas, dan aktivitas organisasi lainnya. Nilai-nilai demokrasi seperti musyawarah, toleransi, keterbukaan, dan penghargaan terhadap pendapat terlihat dalam interaksi siswa, terutama saat mereka terlibat dalam diskusi dan pengambilan keputusan. Meskipun demikian, aspek pemahaman siswa mengenai konsep politik masih belum merata, karena pembelajaran cenderung berfokus pada teori dan belum dikemas secara kontekstual. Hambatan lain yang ditemukan meliputi keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran, kurangnya variasi metode mengajar, serta minimnya literasi politik pada sebagian siswa.

Abstract

The issues described above prompted researchers to conduct further studies on the actual condition of physical education facilities and infrastructure in public primary schools in the Rantau Pandan sub-district. This study was conducted to directly observe conditions in the field so that researchers could draw objective conclusions about the availability and suitability of physical education facilities in these schools. The main objective of this study was to obtain clear and accurate information about the facilities and infrastructure that support physical education learning activities in public elementary schools in the Rantau Pandan sub-district. This study used a quantitative descriptive approach, with a survey technique as the main method of describing the actual situation regarding the availability of sports facilities in schools. In this study, data sources were obtained from all public elementary schools in the Rantau Pandan Subdistrict, consisting of 10 elementary schools. The data collected includes information related to the number of facilities, their condition, and ownership status (owned, borrowed, or rented) of the facilities and infrastructure used for physical education activities. The results of the data analysis show that the utilisation rate of sports facilities and infrastructure in these schools is only 54% and 53.5%. This percentage indicates that the condition of the available facilities does not meet the standards of feasibility and ideal needs for physical education learning. Thus, it can be concluded that the availability of sports facilities and infrastructure in public elementary schools in the Rantau Pandan sub-district is still relatively low, with a feasibility rate of 54% and 53.5% categorised as unsuitable. These findings form an important basis for encouraging improvements in the quality of physical education facilities in the region.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi strategi pembelajaran aktif (active learning) dalam upaya meningkatkan prestasi belajar peserta didik. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada masih rendahnya tingkat partisipasi siswa dalam proses pembelajaran konvensional yang cenderung bersifat satu arah, sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya pemahaman konsep dan pencapaian akademik. Strategi pembelajaran aktif dipilih karena mampu melibatkan siswa secara langsung melalui aktivitas berpikir, berdiskusi, mengamati, memecahkan masalah, serta merefleksikan pengalaman belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi pada guru dan peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi strategi pembelajaran aktif mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih interaktif, kolaboratif, dan berpusat pada siswa. Penerapan metode seperti think pair share, diskusi kelompok, problem based learning, dan teknik demonstrasi terbukti meningkatkan motivasi, keaktifan, serta pemahaman konsep siswa secara signifikan. Selain itu, keterlibatan emosional dan sosial siswa dalam proses pembelajaran turut berkontribusi pada peningkatan prestasi belajar. Kendati demikian, penerapan strategi ini masih menghadapi kendala seperti keterbatasan waktu dan kesiapan guru dalam merancang aktivitas pembelajaran yang kreatif. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa strategi pembelajaran aktif merupakan pendekatan efektif yang dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar apabila diimplementasikan secara konsisten dan didukung oleh sarana pembelajaran yang memadai.

Abstract

Abstrak This study aims to analyze teacher strategies in reducing mathematics anxiety among elementary school students through a qualitative literature-based approach. Mathematics anxiety, characterized by fear, tension, and avoidance when dealing with mathematical tasks, has been shown to negatively affect students’ conceptual understanding, working memory, motivation, and overall academic performance. Recent studies indicate that a high proportion of elementary students in Indonesia experience moderate to high levels of math anxiety, which are influenced by low self-efficacy, negative learning experiences, teacher-centered instruction, and classroom environments that emphasize speed and correctness. This study employed a qualitative literature review by examining national and international research articles published between 2015 and 2025 that discuss the causes of math anxiety and teacher strategies for overcoming it. The analysis reveals three major groups of effective strategies: pedagogical strategies, such as contextual learning, the use of manipulatives, and game-based instruction; psychological strategies, including positive reinforcement, supportive communication, and the development of a growth mindset; and classroom management strategies, such as cooperative learning, Think Pair Share, and creating error-friendly learning environments. The findings conclude that teacher practices combining engaging pedagogy, emotional support, and positive classroom climate significantly contribute to reducing students’ math anxiety and improving their confidence in learning mathematics. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi Assemblr Edu dalam pembelajaran IPA di Sekolah Dasar melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan mengacu pada pedoman PRISMA 2020. Sebanyak 244 artikel diidentifikasi dari empat basis data utama, kemudian disaring hingga diperoleh 32 studi yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil tinjauan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Assemblr Edu dan teknologi augmented reality (AR) pada pembelajaran IPA meningkat signifikan sejak 2019, terutama dalam memvisualisasikan konsep-konsep abstrak seperti sistem pernapasan, pergerakan benda langit, struktur tumbuhan, dan perubahan wujud benda. Analisis tematik mengungkap empat temuan utama, yaitu kontribusi AR dalam memperkuat pemahaman konsep, meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan belajar siswa, memperkaya pengalaman pembelajaran melalui visualisasi 3D interaktif, serta berbagai tantangan terkait infrastruktur dan kesiapan pedagogis guru. Secara keseluruhan, Assemblr Edu terbukti efektif sebagai media pendukung pembelajaran IPA, namun keberhasilannya sangat ditentukan oleh ketersediaan perangkat, stabilitas jaringan, dan kompetensi digital guru. Penelitian lanjutan direkomendasikan untuk mengeksplorasi desain pembelajaran AR yang lebih variatif serta menguji dampaknya pada keterampilan proses sains siswa secara lebih mendalam.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the role of the teacher as a facilitator to foster 4C skills and to describe students' 4C skills through P5 learning. This type of research uses a qualitative approach. The data analysis technique used in this research is data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing and verification. The results of the research show that teachers have carried out four indicators of teachers as facilitators well, namely providing learning tools, providing learning facilities by teachers and schools, acting as partners, and not acting arbitrarily. Then students' 4C skills grow, namely creativity, communication and collaboration skills. Meanwhile, students' critical thinking skills are still not growing. However, in this case the teacher continues to make efforts to ensure that students' level of critical thinking continues to grow by conducting questions and answers to students and providing practice questions related to the material.

Abstract

Problem-solving ability is a crucial skill in mathematics learning. However, many elementary school students struggle with mathematical problem-solving, particularly on data presentation materials. This research aims to investigate the improvement of mathematical problem-solving abilities and student curiosity through the application of Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) with contextual approach support. This mixed-method research involved 44 respondents: 21 students from the experimental group (SD Negeri 2 Tunggulsari) and 23 students from the control group (SD Negeri 2 Sumur). The experimental group received learning using GDL with contextual approach, while the control group received conventional learning. Data were collected through pre-test, post-test, curiosity questionnaires, and interviews. Results showed that the experimental group achieved an average post-test score of 80.71 compared to the control group's 72.39 (t = 3.180, p = 0.003), with 86% of experimental group students achieving mastery. Additionally, student curiosity increased significantly from 47.62% to 79.52% after GDL implementation. The normalized gain score was 0.59 (moderate category), indicating that GDL with contextual approach effectively improved both mathematical problem-solving abilities and student curiosity. This research provides evidence that GDL with contextual approach is an effective alternative learning method for improving mathematics learning outcomes at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The development of the affective domain is a central objective of Islamic boarding school education, as it reflects the internalization of values, religious attitudes, and moral character among students. Dormitory educators play a strategic role in this process through consistent modeling, supervision, religious guidance, and socio-emotional support within daily residential life. This study aims to analyze the contribution of dormitory educators to the development of students’ affective domain at Diniyyah Putri Islamic Boarding School, Lampung. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed. A total of 237 students were selected using proportional stratified random sampling. The educator-role questionnaire was tested for validity and reliability, while affective-domain data were obtained from official documentation of dormitory assessments. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicate that the role of dormitory educators significantly influences students’ affective development (Sig. = 0.000). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.205) shows that 20.5% of the variance in the affective domain is explained by the educators’ role, while the remaining 79.5% is influenced by other factors beyond the scope of this study. The positive regression coefficient (B = 0.870) suggests that improvements in educator performance are associated with enhanced affective outcomes, particularly in discipline, religious attitude, responsibility, and social behavior. These findings reinforce the relevance of Social Learning Theory and the importance of educator modeling within residential education settings. The study concludes that dormitory educators serve as key agents in shaping students’ character in Islamic boarding schools. The novelty of this research lies in its quantitative empirical focus on the specific contribution of dormitory educators to affective development within a modern pesantren context. The findings provide an evidence-based foundation for strengthening character-building policies in residential Islamic education.

Abstract

Critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills are important competencies in mathematics learning. Each student has a different level of critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills, which influence their understanding and solving mathematical problems. These differences are influenced by various characteristics, one of which is learning style. This study aims to analyze students' critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills in solving mathematical problems based on their learning styles. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a purposive sampling technique, resulting in 12 eighth-grade students as research subjects, two students each representing a single learning style or a combination of two learning styles. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, tests, interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that students with visual and visual-auditory learning styles are able to fulfill all indicators of critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills. Participants with an auditory learning style mastered the basic clarification indicators and concluded in critical thinking skills, as well as presenting mathematical statements and drawing conclusions in mathematical reasoning. Kinesthetic participants performed less than optimally in the basic support indicators for critical thinking skills, but had mastered all the mathematical reasoning indicators. Auditory-kinesthetic participants mastered the basic clarification and conclusion indicators for critical thinking skills, while for mathematical reasoning skills, they mastered the indicators for presenting statements, compiling evidence or reasons, and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, visual-kinesthetic participants only mastered the basic clarification indicators for critical thinking skills and presenting mathematical statements for mathematical reasoning skills.
