Abstract

The purpose of this action research was to determine the effectiveness of the method out door study in increasing student interest in vocational 2nd grade subject Entrepreneurship. The research method is a Class Action Research which consists of several cycles. In this research,instrument used is the observation for teachers, questionnaires and field notes. Observation sheet used by collaborators to observe teachers at the time of teaching. Methods of out door study succeeded in increasing student interest in the subject matter of Entrepreneurship. Out door study method makes students more enthusiastic about learning, to concentrate on the material, making the students think more developed, more comfortable learning environment, students are better able tounderstand the subject matter, students are more willing to express opinions and make students more activeKeywords: effectiveness, enterpreneurship, student interest

Abstract

This study aims to Knowing how to apply learning with Discovery Learning approach so as to improve problem solving skills, cognitive skills and abilities in students' understanding ofmathematical concepts MAN 2 Kota Bengkulu . This research is a classroom action research subjects were students of class XI IPA. The research showed that in the first cycle, the averagevalue is 84.8 students in classical learning with success percentage of 76.5 % . In the second cycle, found that niai average was 89.4 and the percentage of successful learning is 100 %.Keywords: learning, discovery learning, mathematics

Abstract

The general objective of this study was to describe the management of principal to improve professional competence of computer technology teacher. This study is qualitativedescriptive study. Subjects in this study are the principal, the vice principal of curriculum, and three teachers of computer technology teacher. Data collection techniques used in this study; observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Analysis of the data used 4 phases, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion or verification. The result of this research showed that principal have the program of management to improve professional competence of computer technology teacher, appropriate with management competence and supervision competence as a principal.Key word: management, competence, professional.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe implementation of School based quality management in public elementary school number 1 Selupu Rejang, Rejang Lebong regency. Themethod of the research is qualitative descriptive, which try to describe to research phenomenon based on the condition. Subject of the research is principal, teacher, officer, student, and schoolcommite. The data collecting through interview, observation, and documentation. Then qualitative data is used to support and complete qualitative data. The result of the research is thatimplementation of school number 1 Selupu Rejang, Rejang Lebong regency is not done well.Keywords: implementation, school based quality management.

Abstract

The purpose of this  research was to describe the correlation between work stress and achieved motivation with teacher’s perfomance at the junior high school teachers at Manna East of Bengkulu. The method of research was correlational. The data was collected by using questionnaire, the data analysis was correlation, linear regression, and double regression to examine the hypotesis. The results of this research were (1) There was significant relation between work stress and teachers perfomance; (2) There was significant relation between achieved motivation and teachers perfomance; (3) There was together relation between work stress and achieved motivation to the teachers perfomance. According to the first and the second hyphothesis, it was conversed to the third hyphotesis, it was estimated that work stress followed by achieved motivation will increase the teachers perfomance.

Abstract

This research is aimed to describe the implementation of transformational leadership in Junior High School 4 of South Bengkulu. Especially, this research describes: (1) personnels’ comprehension and meaning on transformational leadership; (2) visions of principal’s transformational leadership; (3) implementation of aspects of transformational leadership; and (4) obstacles faced in the implementation of aspects of transformational leadership.The design/method of this research is descriptively qualitative. The subject are personels of Secondary/Junior High School 4 of South Bengkulu. The techniques of collecting the data in this research were used interviews, observations, and study of documents. The data was analyzed by elaborating data, displaying data, and making conclution. The results show that (1) personnels’ comprehension and meaning on transformational leadership is good and important; (2) visions of school principal are good and qualified; (3) the implementation of transformational leadership covers all four aspects (and all four aspects of transformational leadership were implemented in all six school administration aspects, namely budget, facilities, curriculum, students, personnels, and public relation; and (4) the obstacles faced in the implementation are non-technical and technical ones.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the principal's leadership in implementing learning academic supervision Sindang SD 04 Kelingi Rejang Lebong district. The method used descriptive qualitative research. Subjects were 04 district elementary school principal sindang Kelingi Rejang Lebong. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the elementary school principal learning leadership inimplementing the academic supervision of State 04 Sindang Kelingi Rejang Lebong implement individual supervision and group supervision techniques.Keywords: principal, leadership

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship motivation and discipline against teacher performance in public elementary school Batik Nau North Bengkulu. The method used descriptivequantitative. Data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using correlation and regression techniques. The results showed that there is a positive relationship between themotivation of teachers working with teachers. There is a positive relationship between the discipline of teachers working with teachers. There is a positive relationship between motivationand discipline of teachers working together on teacher performance. motivation and discipline of work have a positive relationship to the performance of teachers.Keywords: motivation, discipline, teacher performance

Abstract

The purpose of this research were to compare about eight standard management of education. There were; 1. Curriculum; 2. Teacher and school staff’s background; 3. Financial; 4.Infrastructure; 5. School organizing; 6. The function of Pondok Pesantren principle; 7. Student’s input and output; 8. Parents’ role. The research used comparative study. Data collection techniques were interview, observation and documentation study.The subject of the research are school principle, teachers, Pondok Pesantren’s staff, and students. The result show that the student management in Pondok Pesanteren Hidayatul Qomariah is more better than Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Mubtadiin.Key words: differences, management

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the condition of computer laboratory management on, planning, organizing, actuating, evaluating and controlling. The subject of thisresearch was the principal, teachers, laboratory manager, technicians and students at the Vocational High School District 1 Putri Hijau North Bengkulu. This research used a descriptivequalitative method. The data collecting technique used interview, observation, and documentation, and analyze by reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusion. The results of this research can be concluded that the management of computer laboratory at this school was done well so far but needs to be improved especially in the  anagement of both facilities and human resources.Keywords: computer laboratory, management
