Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of Indonesian language learning in the class XI SMA Negeri 2 Kota Bengkulu. This research uses qualitative approach with descriptive method. Techniques used in collecting data are observation, document recording, and interview. The results showed that Indonesian teachers of class XI SMA Negeri 2 Kota Bengkulu carry out Indonesian language learning with the steps as in the Curriculum 2013, namely; 1) preliminary activities, 2) core activities, and 3) closing activities. Some suggestions the author wishes to convey are: 1) the teacher should improve the understanding of the Curriculum 2013 by attending seminars, workshops, training on Curriculum 2013 or studying books Curriculum 2013; 2) School parties should regularly conduct training or seminars of Curriculum 2013; 3) for the researcher, there is a need for further research regarding the implementation of learning for schools using the Curriculum 2013.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the author's world view in Dewi Lestari Perahu Kertas novel. This research is based on qualitative research with genetic structuralism approach. Data analysis techniques, namely the analysis of facts of humanity, collective subject analysis, analysis of the author's novel view of Perahu Kertas, make the conclusion. The results of this study are (1) socio-cultural conditions of society contained in the Perahu Kertas novel that is the social relations of the figure with the community environment; (2) the socio-cultural life of the society contained in the Perahu Kertas novel, namely the views on work, social status, and the difference between the wishes of the parents and the wishes of a child; (3) the author's world view in this research is about young scholars who must face the reality of life between seeking work for the sake of existence and maintaining dreams for idealism. The conclusion of this study refers to the author's world view contained in Perahu Kertas novel by analyzing the facts of humanity and collective subjects on the study of genetic structuralism.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the ability to read news texts on students of class VIII 1 SMP Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu. The method used in this research is descriptive method with quantitative approach. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu which amounted to 140 students from four classes with 75 male students and 76 female students. This research uses simple random sampling technique to take the chosen people correct by the researcher according to the specific characteristics of the sample, the researchers took 14% of the total population of 20 students. Technique of data collecting is done by observation technique and loud reading test. The data analysis used in this study is simple statistic. The results of this study indicate that, the average ability to read the news text of students of grade VIII 1 SMP Negeri 3 Kota Bengkulu is 55.2 (less).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the core competencies one and two Curriculum 2013 in learning Indonesian students class VIII SMPN 1 Kecamatan Pondok Kelapa Central Bengkulu District Lessons 2016/2017. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The subject of this research is one Indonesian teacher who teaches in class VIII SMPN 1 Kecamatan Pondok Kelapa, Central Bengkulu Regency. Technique of collecting data using observation and interview. Data analysis techniques used are Miles and Huberman which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Test the validity of the data using credibility test conducted by triangulation. The results showed that the teacher has implemented the core competence of one / spiritual attitude through the activity of saying and responding greetings, praying together, performing the prayers at school and keeping the environment around the school. While the two core competencies / social attitudes are integrated through group learning activities, not cheating or plagiarism, speaking honestly, working on and collecting tasks on time, obeying school rules, performing individual duties well, daring to perform in class, be responsible and accept The risks of action, respect for the elderly, not forcing opinions, helping each other to achieve mutual success, taking an active role, asking, answering, not despairing, daring to accept others politely and politely fellow.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the value of character education contained in seluma folklore. This research data is folklore obtained from the recording and written documentation.in this research used descriptive analysis method. Data collection techniques used are recoding technique record. The result showed that the values of character education contained in the folklore of seluma is very good to form human character from an early age. The value of character education contained in seluma folklore is the value of education that is very close to everyday life so it is suitable to implanted in self. In seluma folklore especially in fairy tales and legends of character  education values contained in fairy tales and legends that is, the value of courage, mutual need, self-discipline, self-respect, faimess, caring, protecting each other, and respect others, the attitude of deliberation, and the attitude of cooperation.
