Abstract

The adoption of information technology that is being intensively carried out by companies in this decade results in companies having to do good management in order to support business needs. Information technology governance is an important aspect in companies, especially those that have adopted or invested in information technology. In the digital transformation carried out by the company, it is important for the company to pay attention so that IT governance is in line and does not conflict with the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG). One of the efforts made by companies to plan, implement, and evaluate IT governance is to get help from professionals called information technology consultants. However, the efforts made by information technology consultants must be ensured in accordance with the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG). By conducting observations, interviews and direct involvement of researchers in IT consulting projects, data was collected from the type of work done by one of the information technology consulting companies in Indonesia. Mapping was done to illustrate the suitability of the consultant's role with the five pillars of Good Corporate Governance principles. The results show that the role of IT consultants is relevant and in line with the five pillars of GCG

Abstract

The large number of varieties of hybrid corn seeds on the market and farmers' lack of understanding of the characteristics of each variety often make it difficult for farmers to make the right choice according to the conditions of their agricultural land. This is a major challenge for farmer groups in Hamlet III, Pantoan Maju Village, who experience difficulties in selecting superior hybrid corn seed varieties to increase agricultural productivity. To overcome this problem, a web-based decision support system was built that combines the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). AHP is used to calculate weights on the criteria used such as crop quality, resistance to pests, and environmental adaptability, while TOPSIS is used to rank preferences for each alternative used. This system is expected to help farmers make more objective and targeted decisions. Test results show that this system is able to provide accurate and relevant recommendations, according to the needs of local farmers. And from the test results of the combination of the two methods, a decision was made on the alternative with the highest preference value of 0.928 from the Bisi-18 corn seed variety.

Abstract

Price index is a benchmark for measuring changes in the prices of goods or services circulating within an economic system. In Indonesia, the price index is determined based on data collected by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). In the Statistics Division of the Department of Communication and Information of Kutai Kartanegara Regency (Kukar), several individuals are appointed as enumerators to record the prices from surveys. Previously, the data was manually recorded, which was inefficient and prone to errors compared to automated or digital recording methods. Moreover, inaccurate recording and reporting can impact government and public policies. Therefore, AppSheet is an ideal tool for developing a recording application with a quick development process. The steps to using AppSheet include first creating a database using Excel or Google Spreadsheet, then linking the database to AppSheet, and building the desired features. The result shows that developing a survey data recording application through AppSheet has proven to increase the efficiency of data recording based on testing that has been conducted.

Abstract

Museums play a crucial role in preserving and disseminating knowledge about history, culture, art, and science. However, digital advancements challenge museums to stay relevant and appealing to tech-savvy younger generations. One solution is quiz-based gamification, which combines game elements with educational content to create interactive learning experiences. This study aims to develop a learning strategy through quiz-based gamification in museums, focusing on improving visitor engagement and understanding. The design thinking method was used, consisting of five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. During empathize, observations and interviews showed that traditional methods often fail to engage visitors. The define stage identified a lack of motivation for active learning as the main issue. In ideate, a quiz-based concept was designed using elements like challenges, rewards, points, levels, and competition. The prototype stage involved creating an interactive quiz, while test evaluated it with visitors. Results showed increased engagement and understanding. In conclusion, quiz-based gamification effectively enhances learning outcomes, transforming museums into interactive spaces that combine education and entertainment, making them more appealing and relevant to younger generations in the digital era.

Abstract

Stroke is a serious brain dysfunction disease that occurs when blood flow to the brain suddenly stops due to blockage or rupture of blood vessels. This disease is very dangerous and life-threatening. Early detection of stroke symptoms is very important to predict and prevent long-term impacts because it can save lives. Among the early detection efforts is using the Random Forest method in machine learning to predict stroke and successfully achieving 94% accuracy. This study proposes optimization of preprocessing / data preparation with interference of missing value handlers in the stroke prediction model using KNNImputer. The result is that the Random Forest method is able to improve the accuracy performance from initially having an accuracy value of 94% to between 95% - 96%. In addition, it also reduces the standard deviation or standard deviation of the Random Forest model. However, the strategy for the sequence of work between missing value handlers and categorical feature transformations does not affect the performance of the Random Forest model.

Abstract

The increased use of PDF files as a medium for cyberattacks has created significant challenges in data security, especially in terms of detection and mitigation of malware threats designed for data theft. This research aims to analyze malware threats in PDF files using static and dynamic analysis approaches to identify patterns that characterize malicious activity that could result in sensitive information leakage. Through static analysis, this research identifies specific elements in the PDF file structure, such as metadata, signatures, as well as malicious indicators that are usually hidden within scripts and encapsulated objects. On the other hand, dynamic analysis is performed by utilizing a sandbox environment to monitor the runtime behavior of PDF files, including network activity, file system access. The results show that the combination of static and dynamic analysis is able to provide more comprehensive detection, where static analysis is effective in quickly identifying signs of malware, while dynamic analysis provides deeper insights into malware behavior patterns that are not detected by static analysis alone. This research provides a static and dynamic analysis-based framework for malware identification on PDF files, as well as providing insights into the effectiveness of these methods in the context of modern data security. The findings of this research have the potential to support the development of security systems
