Abstract

Recording and managing academic data of Sultan Agung UII Kindergarten is still done simply using Ms Word and Ms Excel. Recording and managing data like this has the disadvantage of being inefficient and prone to duplication of data so that the information presented is likely to be inaccurate. In addition, school promotion using IG social media is not effective enough to convey the school's profile and credibility. Therefore, it is necessary to support the school website for the advancement of students and the school. System development uses the Waterfall method, PHP programming language, MySQL database, and Laravel framework. Data collection is done through interviews and observations. The testing method uses black box testing and usability testing. The results of this system design are use case diagram, activity diagram, and database design. The website results in the form of a school profile and SIMAK. Based on the results of Black Box testing, it is known that all features can run well. Based on the results of Usability testing obtained a score of 86.25 in grade (value) A and get a very good rating (Excellent).

Abstract

The development of information technology encourages the modernization of government administration, including the implementation of E-Office in Mojokerto District Government. This study was conducted because of the importance of evaluating technology acceptance to ensure E-Office has a positive impact as expected. This study aims to analyze user acceptance of E-Office with the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) approach and identify variables that affect user acceptance. Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method is used to analyze the relationship between variables in the UTAUT model, namely performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, behavioral intention, and use behavior. The results showed that Behavioral Intention is the variable that most significantly affects the behavior of using the E-Office application, while Effect Expectancy, Social Influence, and Facilitating Conditions have no significant effect. Users have a high intention to use the system because they believe that the system can improve performance. This research provides strategic recommendations for improving technology acceptance in the government sector by focusing on strengthening user intentions, which is a key factor in the successful implementation of the E-Office system.

Abstract

This research analyzes the effectiveness of sending broadcast messages through the Cakraflash service at MH Thamrin University in the period from 8 July 2024 to 3 September 2024. This research was conducted because of the importance of understanding audience response in supporting digital communication strategies. The data used includes the number of messages sent, delivered, read, and replied. The chain regression analysis method was used to identify the relationship between these variables. The results showed that each stage of message delivery, from delivered to replied, significantly influenced each other. An increase in the number of messages received and read tends to increase the number of messages replied, which is an indicator of successful information delivery. The conclusions of this study provide important insights for universities to develop more effective, data-driven digital communication strategies based on audience response. Abstract

Face recognition and object detection technologies have been used and developed rapidly in various fields such as security, facilities management, and surveillance. Churches, as a place where many people gather, often face challenges in seating management and monitoring congregation attendance, which is still done traditionally or manually. This traditional approach not only requires a lot of time and effort, but is also prone to human error. Therefore, a system was designed to be able to detect the availability of chairs and identify the faces of the congregation automatically, using the YOLOv8 method and a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based on the ResNet-50 model for face detection and recognition. The test results from the 3 groups tested obtained an average accuracy of 85.26% and a detection accuracy of 95.46% with the YOLOv8 model training reaching 97% mAP50 and the ResNet50 model with an accuracy of 99.54% and a validation accuracy of 99.37%.

Abstract

The utilization of information technology supports the development of e-commerce, one of which is through the Tumbas application developed by the Mojokerto District Government. The Tumbas application, developed by the Mojokerto District Government, aims to support local MSMEs by facilitating digital transactions. This study aims to analyze the performance of the Tumbas application using the PIECES (Performance, Information, Economic, Control, Efficiency, Service) framework. Data was collected through an online questionnaire to 98 respondents who are active application users. The results showed the average performance score as follows: Performance 4.07 (Good/Satisfied), Information and Data 4.04 (Good/Satisfied), Economics 4.12 (Good/Satisfied), Control and Security 3.78 (Good/Satisfied), Efficiency 4.01 (Good/Satisfied), and Service 4.11 (Good/Satisfied). Overall, the Tumbas application is considered to have good and satisfactory performance in meeting user needs. However, there is room for improvement, especially in the aspects of control and efficiency. This research provides recommendations for the development of the Tumbas application to improve service quality and support the local economy in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Salah satu layanan internet yang menyediakan layanan Triple Play adalah Indihome yang merupakan produk PT Telkom. System klasifikasi dapat diterapkan pada layanan Indihome untuk memetakan data pelanggan, sehingga perusahaan dapat mengetahui data pelanggan sesuai dengan jenis paket berlangganan yang digunakan dan data demografis berupa wilayah dan lokasi, model ini diharapkan dapat mengidentifikasi kelompok-kelompok pelanggan yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) yang tidak hanya sederhana serta mudah diimplementasikan, namun juga efisien dalam menangani data yang tidak terstruktur dan kompleks. Data sebanyak 12.565 dalam kurun waktu tahun 2023 digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Berdasarkan penelitian, klasifikasi ini menunjukkan performa yang cukup baik dalam mengklasifikasikan pelanggan berdasarkan pola yang terdapat pada data. Hasil proses KNN menghasilkan nilai akurasi yang cukup besar yaitu 100%, hasil tersebut menyatakan sistem ini dapat memberikan rekomendasi yang tepat untuk menentukan klasifikasi pelanggan berdasarkan penggunaan layanan dan area. Dengan adanya hasil akurasi tersebut, penelitian ini bisa dijadikan sebagai rekomendasi dalam pengambilan keputusan terkait persebaran pemasaran yang akan PT. Telkom lakukan di area yang dibutuhkan, serta meningkatkan layanan Indihome di seluruh wilayah.

Abstract

Abstract The use of Internet of Things (IoT) devices is increasingly widespread in various fields, including air conditioning (AC) systems. This research aims to develop an IOT that allows users to remotely control Daikin air conditioners using Telegram on the NodeMCU ESP8266 platform, as well as integrate Passive Infrared (PIR) sensors to detect the presence of users. The system is designed to improve energy efficiency. This methodology involves IoT programming using microcontrollers, setting up communication with Telegram, and utilizing PIR sensors for motion detection. The test results show that the system can control the air conditioner via Telegram, provide notifications and allow commands to turn on and off the air conditioner based on the presence of the user detected by the PIR sensor. This implementation can increase the flexibility of air conditioning management, as well as provide comfort for users. In addition, this study also explores technical challenges such as the stability of the internet connection, system responsiveness, and ensuring that this system functions optimally. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the wider use of IoT technology in the field of household electronic device management.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the usability of the Get Hotel rewards website using the Post Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ) and Retrospective Think Aloud (RTA) methods. The usability evaluation was conducted to determine whether users find the website easy or difficult to use and whether the information provided is clear enough to prevent user difficulties. A mixed-method approach was employed, with quantitative data collect through the PSSUQ questionnaire involving 138 respondents, determined using the Lemeshow formula. Qualitative data were gathered through interviews using the RTA method, involving 10 selected respondents based on predetermined characteristics. The PSSUQ results showed average scores across four categories, SysUse at 1.82, InfoQual at 1.82, InterQual at 1,84 and Overall at 1,81, reflecting overall user satisfaction with the website. Meanwhile, the RTA method revealed several issues users encountered while using the website, along with suggestions for improving its functionality. Overall Get Hotel Rewards was deemed suitable for use and received positive feedback quantitatively. However, several aspects need improvement based on qualitative findings. According to respondents recommendations the proposed enhancements should address user challenges to improve the user experience and ensure the website meets higher usability standards in the future.

Abstract

Rice holds importance in Indonesia as a commodity driving the economy and improving societal well-being, however, its production encounters obstacles attributed to the effects of drastic climate variations. This study sought to evaluate how Support Vector Regression (SVR) k Nearest Neighbors (KNN) and Decision Tree models perform in forecasting rice yields while considering variables related to climate change. The research process included stages such, as gathering and cleaning the information before exploring and analyzing it to apply metrics and implement algorithms like Mean Absolute Error (MAE) Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) and R² Score, for evaluation purposes. The findings obtained from the study indicate that the Decision Tree technique is efficient, achieving a minimal deviation rate of 0%. This outcome implies that the model effectively grasped the core patterns within the dataset while reducing errors effectively. The KNN model displayed performance levels and suggested room, for enhancement with parameter adjustments; however, SVM Regression was deemed fitting for the datasets needs. The results emphasize the significance of choosing the algorithm for modeling in agriculture and stress the necessity, for additional research to confirm these findings in various datasets.

Abstract

The problem addressed in this research is the need to monitor the number of people entering and exiting a meeting room automatically and accurately. The objective of this study is to develop a system for monitoring the number of people in a meeting room using IoT technology to improve the efficiency of room capacity management. The method used in this research involves the application of an Arduino Uno microcontroller with HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors to detect object movement and display the results on an LCD in real-time. The test results show that the system successfully detects the number of objects entering and exiting the room accurately. The LCD display shows numbers corresponding to the changes in the number of people inside the room with labels "In" and "Out." The first test showed that when 25 objects entered and 6 objects exited, the remaining number of visitors was 19. In the second test, with 7 objects entering and no objects exiting, the number of visitors inside the room was 7. The third test showed 23 objects entering and 3 objects exiting, leaving 20 people in the room. The fourth test, with 14 objects entering and no objects exiting, showed 14 people inside the room. The fifth test, with 10 objects entering and no objects exiting, resulted in 10 people remaining in the room. Overall, the test results indicate that the system functions well in detecting the number of people in the room in real-time and can be used for efficient room capacity monitoring.
