Abstract

Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) with their long historical journey have proved themselves not only as learning institutions still surviving to this day, but also as such a symbol of the power of culture and socio-religious diversity. Public confidence and very high expectations in regard with the birth of generations being able to bridge the building of knowledge on one hand and the great noble characters on the other hand, have still been devoted to the religious educational institutions. By photographing the long history of pesantren, their typology of learning and their presence amid competitive educational institutions today, this article tries to offer a concept aimed at revitalizing the pesantren to purposefully respond to the demands and expectations of their stakeholders. Efforts to reform the curriculum, build human resources capacity, and develop the learning system management could be carried out in revitalizing the role of pesantren.Keywords: Pesantren, human resources, curriculum

Abstract

Education runs very dynamically. Because they have to adjust to the pulse of changing times so rapidly, at least three urgent challenges must be answered by national education. The problem of advancing information technology, nationalism and socio-cultural spirit is a sexy issue that must not only be discussed but must also be answered thoroughly. In certain aspects, if education only responds to the progress of science and science, it will give birth to mechanical humans who are far from spiritual and cultural values. For this reason, in the millennial era, it is necessary to form a "brand image" of national education by initiating three competencies that must be carried out in an integrated manner with one another: namely digital competence, national competence and cultural competence. Mainstreaming the three components in the millennial era is crucial, because of the challenges ahead, plurality empties through the three segments. Thus, providing understanding and competence of the nation's generation through these three things, in addition to being a capital to face the swift waves of changing times, also in the context of building a genuine national education self-image amid world education contestation

Abstract

Islamic education is one field of Islamic studies who received a lot of attention from scientists. This is because in addition to a very strategic role in order to enhance human resources, as well as in Islamic education there are a variety of complex problems. Ibn Taymiyyah for example, he was known as a scholar, thinker and politician. The thinking in the field of education is a response to the various problems facing the Islamic society that demands split logically through education. Philosophy of education, he said, should be built on the foundation of monotheism, the belief in the oneness of God. Monotheism which is the basis of education include; rububiyah monotheism, monotheism asthma wa uluhiyah and nature. Based on the insights of faith is then Ibn Taymiyyah describes the purpose of education, students, teachers, curriculum and so on.Keyword: Educational Thought, Relevance, Contemporary

Abstract

Human being could be considered a topic of discussion which is never completed. Therefore, this study will focus more on the concept of human in the perspective of Ibn Sina and al-Ghazali. In the perspective of Ibn Sina the essence of human being is composed of two elements, namely the body (jism) and soul (nafs). These two elements are really different from the ones found in animals and plants. The presence of soul (nafs) is its manifestation. While the body (jism) a tool for nafs. In addition, there is also a strong relationship between the jism and the nafs. Nafs will never achieve a phenomenal stage without the body. When this phenomenal stage is reached, then the nafs will rule the body. Meanwhile, according to al-Gazali the essence of human is composed of several elements, such as: al-nafs, al-ruh, al-qalb, and al-'aql. These four elements have their own function and role, but are mutually complementary parts in shaping the human personality so-called Insan Kamil. The difference of faculties possessed by human is what makes human being the noblest in the sight of Allah. The purpose of human life is to achieve happiness. Education could be considerably successful for being capable of organizing the learning process in producing quality individuals. Thus, in order to produce the quality individuals, then teachers should be able to cultivate a variety of potential possessed by each student as a human being.Keywords: Human being, education, philosophy

Abstract

one of the serious problems facing the adolescents is the rise of promiscuity potentially leading to free sex. This problem becomes more severe when the existence of schools could no longer contribute more. Thus, one of the efforts to minimize the promiscuity is by optimizing counseling programs that specifically deal with adolescent reproductive health. In this paper, the writer will describe the relevance as well as the urgency of adolescent reproductive education taking counseling media to reduce the problem of adolescent sexuality. On this stand, educational practitioners are expectedly able to define the educational gap that is now more focused on the development of science by overriding the problems experienced by students who are also teenagers.Keywords: Reproductive Education, Sexual Problems

Abstract

Waktu merupakan nikmat yang sangat berharga yang diberikan Allah kepada setiap makhluknya. Sebagai seorang pelajar yang baik, tentulah harus dapat memanfaatkannya dengan baik agar dapat membawa kebaikan pula bagi hidup kita di dunia. Artikel ini membahas tentang keutamaan waktu dan manajemen waktu belajar yang baik menurut Al-Qur’an dan Hadits dan langkah-langkah yang bisa diterapkan dalam memanajemen waktu belajar. Artikel ini termasuk dalam penelitian kepustakaan (library research), dengan metode deskriptif-analitis.Untuk memperoleh keabsahan data dan informasi, artikel ini mempergunakan Al-Qur’an dan Hadis sebagai sumber data utama. Teknik analisis data dalam artikel ini memakai metode interpretasi atau tafsir teks dengan metode maudhu’i (tematik). Dalam teori manajemen, proses manajemen waktu dapat dilakukan dengan lima langkah, POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling)

Abstract

Developing environmental system littered fully with cultural values and sense of caring for nature is a concrete manifestation of man's role as caliph. Schools as educational institutions have become a strategic place to develop, implement and disseminate the noble role of man. On this stand, there should be a management which starts from a process of planning well-structured programs and the implementation of the programs consistently. In this context, to achieve a predicate so-called Adiwiyata Mandiri, SMA Negeri 1 Lamongan, has reformed the system of school environment that is broadly performed on four aspects integratively. The four aspects are, firstly, environment oriented-school policies, secondly, environment based-curriculum, thirdly, participatory based-school activities and fourthly, environmentally friendly school infrastructure management. The management of developing the system of education milieu in SMA N 1 Lamongan has eventually brought significant impacts: (1) increasing insight of entire school community of environment, (2) increasing sense of caring for environment of school community. (3) increasing environmental health and safety. (4) improved achievement seen from the trend of increasing number of admissions at state universities. And externally (5) In 2014 the Community Satisfaction Index (HPI) was quite good. This can be explained by the logic that when environment is healthy and comfortable, the school community will be be calm and comfortable, working conditions of teachers and employees become quite excited.Keywords: Management, environmental system, education

Abstract

The process of Islamic religious education in schools has so far been centered on teaching materials. The materials have a varied segmentation of discussion, especially in the aspects of aqidah, ritual, akhlaq, history and so on. The values of Islamic teachings contained in teaching materials are not only related to both empirical and concrete aspects of knowledge. There are also the ones dealing with the abstract and unreasonable aspects. For example in the aqidah subject matter, there are discussions about belief in God, angels, the hereafter and so on. In this paper, the writer experimented with a learning method that integrates the cooperative learning approach with the Abid al-Jabiri's epistimological foundations. On this stand, the aqidah material in educational institutions is expected to run effectively on the one hand, and not to reduce the fundamental values of Islamic teachings on the other hand.Keywords: Aqidah learning, Coperative learning, Abid al-Jabiri

Abstract

The pre-Islamic Arab society is known to be the one upholding the values of racism, feudalism and patriarchy. No doubt if in the time the Arabs were considered as the ignorant society. However, the revolutionary momentum occurred following the emergence of Islam in the desert region. Islam could radically change the Arab social order reaching the point in which human values almost disappeared. This is the beginning of learning society through educational values that are in line with the teachings of Islam. This article tries to unravel how the vertices of education began to disappear in the land of Hijaz. By examining the demographic circumstances of cultures of pre-Islamic Arab society, this article also tries to take the segmentation of society as a basis of analysis of the emergence of the teachings of Islam through the establishment of learning society initiated by Muhammad (PBUH).Keywords: Arab, society, education.

Abstract

Basically education is an instrument for humans use to advance their civilization and culture. education is always running and developing in line with human life. Islamic education as an education actvity which is colored by the spirit and values of Islam will also develop during the life of members of islam comunity. Changes and developments in Islamic education seem so fast, whereas the life of today's society as if we live without division and distance as the impact of globalization. it gives the impression that the cultural differences of one society with others will be apparent. The apparent differences will be a time bomb that will explode in time, further leads to disharmony in society or cultural clashes. In the meantime Islamic education must be able to enter space building an educational model that develops multicultural values such as tolerance, fair education and education that uphold the value of equality.
