Abstract

Abstract: This paper aims to discuss the faith learning strategies that mainstream the national spirit as one of the human values for students. This study found its relevance because today universities are in the spotlight because their existence is actually fostering the seeds of radicalism, which certainly plays diametrically with human reason. Not only carried out by students, lecturers and professors even justified movements that could potentially create subversion movements in the Republic of Indonesia. Recognizing this phenomenon, then unraveling the tangled thread of the learning process of faith in the field of higher education becomes a necessary effort. For this reason, a learning strategy of faith is needed that can become a tool to strengthen nationalism. The learning strategies in question include: One, internalizing the spirit of nationalism and sensitivity to local culture as the buffer zone of the NKRI pillar. Two, strengthen the tradition of digital literacy in the context of Islamic education. As the main intake of millennial generation, consumption of religious information through the internet must be balanced with the ability to operate digital information. Three, strengthen religious narratives that are more tolerant and humanist in order to strengthen the spirit of national unity.Keyword: Digital Literacy, Faith, University, Nationality

Abstract

: This article explore aboute radicalism, discourse of radicalism described on PAI textbooks in senior high school (SMA) became a quaint discourse amid the diversity of the Indonesian nation. Thus, sticking existence in 2014 and then, a national issue because indicated propagate the teachings legitimize the killing of another person under the pretext purify monotheism. With this method of writing kualititif non-interactive, because using this type of literature research study, the research discovered important findings. Namely, there are three discourses that is used as a campaign idea gospel radicalism, among others; validity to fight and lay the others, crimes verbal and literal as well as encouragement to keep people on the prophetic role of the clergy. In addition, to strengthen the idea of radicalism, wacanapun built with some of the linguistic elements, among others; thematic (text structure that leads to the violent ideology), schematic (preparation discourse radicalism narrated as a whole in one specific topic), semantics (loading prejudice to sentence / the subject matter that has implications for the meaning of understanding radical), syntax (structure indicates logic constituent used in narrating teaching materials, namely using deductive reasoning causality) while rhetorically authors assert his ideas through reasoning resistance, vis a vis, black-white, bad cop and good cop.Keywords; Radicalism, textbooks, discourse

Abstract

Understanding tajwid material, especially aboutreading gharib, must be presented in an attractive manner so that students can absorb the material well. So that the application in practice is also easier and not always the same. Therefore, this study aims to provide options related to variations in delivering learning material. By using themethod Research and Development (R&D) which produces a product in the form of an E-Module, this research was passed using several stages which are commonly abbreviated as themodel ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation) and the results of this study show that on average Correspondents and validators from several experts (material, language, and media experts) stated that this E-Module-based media was feasible to use.

Abstract

Chinese Muslims have a cultural identity as a double minority. In Islam, they are a minority within their ethnic religion and remain a minority among other ethnic groups in Indonesia. This ethnic group embraces Islam mostly because of religious conversion. The aspect of religious conversion makes ethnic Chinese come to Islam. This study aims to find the expression of Muslim in Surabaya, who are using social action tools asa manifestation of their faith to gain trust from the mainstream while maintaining their cultural identity as Chinese so as not to experience alienation in their communities. This study found that Chinese Muslim’s social theology in Surabaya serves as an articulation of cosmopolitan Islam that is successfully integrated into an inclusive Chinese identity. This also confirms that being a good Muslim is not in a binary position with being a pure Chinese. Besides, the theological vision of Chinese Muslims is expressed not only by maintaining its cultural background, but also through social movements that are inspired and based on Islamic dogmatic teachings that emphasize human values.Keywords: Social Theology, Chinese Muslims, Existential Problems

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan kelayakan media komik strip dengan tema analisis sunah dan hadis yang dikembangkan berdasarkan kelayakan teoritis, yaitu hasil validasi dosen ahli, dan berdasarkan kelayakan empiris, yaitu responss siswa. Penelitian R & D ini menggunakan model 4-D (4-D models) yang terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop), dan penyebaran (disseminate). Namun penelitian ini dibatasi sampai pada tahap pengembangan (develop). Tahap define dalam implementasi pembelajaran Alquran Hadis di MA Asy-Syakur menggunakan Kurikulum 13 yang direvisi. Tahap design menghasilkan desain awal komik menjadi sebuah draf awal yang selanjutnya dilakukan pada tahap develop didapatkan hasil validasi oleh 3 dosen ahli. Langkah selanjutnya adalah uji coba terbatas kepada 15 siswa MA Asy-Syakur kelas X. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media komik strip dengan tema analisis sunah dan hadis yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan, di mana hasil persentase kelayakan berdasarkan hasil validasi dari dosen ahli sebesar 82,6 % dan hasil respons yang diberikan siswa sebesar 92,7%.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the anatomy of humor exercised consistently by one of Islamic preachers and teachers from Pesantren Tebuireng, Jombang. This article employs qualitative approach. Kyai Ishaq Latif humor in his sermon analyzed by socio-linguistic perspective. This article found that the Islamic teaching containing theology, family relationship, and social interaction was delivered by him with humor such as anecdotes, acronym., codes, limerick, and satire. Humor has been developed within certain social context. Preacher use humor to be more understood by broader audiences. This article thus suggests that the usage of humor in religious sermons will generate intimacy which enable audience accepted the message without being coerced or offended or intimidated. Humor in religious sermon shows social dialect (sociolect) of the preacher that has integrated with his audiences. The usage of humor is an alternative instrument in delivering holy messages (act sequences) to be accepted effectively by the audiences.Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui anatomi humor dalam dakwah yang dikembangkan oleh Kiai Ishaq Latif dari Pondok Pesantren Tebuireng Jombang. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, paper ini dianalisis menggunakan perspektif sosiolinguistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa metode humor Kiai Latif antara lain anekdot, akronim, alih kode, pantun dan sindirian. Selain itu, metode humor merupakan “bahasa” yang lahir dari ruang dan konteks sosial tertentu. Bahasa lelucon yang diselipkan dalam dakwah merupakan bentuk guyub tutur yang jamak berlaku di masyarakat awam. Implikasi praksis penelitian ini adalah humor yang ditunjukan oleh seorang pendakwah akan melahirkan keakraban (intimate) yang memungkinkan seseorang menerima ajaran Islam tanpa tekanan, paksaan dan intimidasi. Pada posisi tertentu, humor juga menunjukan dialek sosial (sosialek) seorang pendakwah yang lebih menyatu dengan psikologi masa. Humor diadopsi sebagai instrument untuk membawa amanat suci (act sequences) ajaran agama Islam agar tersampaikan secara efektif bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

Education runs very dynamically. Because they have to adjust to the pulse of changing times so rapidly, at least three urgent challenges must be answered by national education. The problem of advancing information technology, nationalism and socio-cultural spirit is a sexy issue that must not only be discussed but must also be answered thoroughly. In certain aspects, if education only responds to the progress of science and science, it will give birth to mechanical humans who are far from spiritual and cultural values. For this reason, in the millennial era, it is necessary to form a "brand image" of national education by initiating three competencies that must be carried out in an integrated manner with one another: namely digital competence, national competence and cultural competence. Mainstreaming the three components in the millennial era is crucial, because of the challenges ahead, plurality empties through the three segments. Thus, providing understanding and competence of the nation's generation through these three things, in addition to being a capital to face the swift waves of changing times, also in the context of building a genuine national education self-image amid world education contestation

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest Muslim majority country in the world. So it makes perfect sense if Islam in Indonesia becomes the centre of civilization on the international scene. However, this achievement is not easy because it demands moral responsibility that Islam indeed shows its moderate and tolerant face. Why is this important? Because the entire Islamic region in the Middle East country, only shows Islam in front of conflict and war. So, the claim that the future of Islamic civilization in the world is in the hands of Indonesia is not a mere figment. For this reason, Indonesian Islam must be able to maintain and simultaneously make efforts to support the preservation of Islam that is friendly to all elements of the nation. For this reason, in this paper, the author describes how strategies so that Islam can become a value base to give birth to attitudes of moderates in the frame of Multicultural Islamic education.

Abstract

The process of Islamic religious education in schools has so far been centered on teaching materials. The materials have a varied segmentation of discussion, especially in the aspects of aqidah, ritual, akhlaq, history and so on. The values of Islamic teachings contained in teaching materials are not only related to both empirical and concrete aspects of knowledge. There are also the ones dealing with the abstract and unreasonable aspects. For example in the aqidah subject matter, there are discussions about belief in God, angels, the hereafter and so on. In this paper, the writer experimented with a learning method that integrates the cooperative learning approach with the Abid al-Jabiri's epistimological foundations. On this stand, the aqidah material in educational institutions is expected to run effectively on the one hand, and not to reduce the fundamental values of Islamic teachings on the other hand.Keywords: Aqidah learning, Coperative learning, Abid al-Jabiri

Abstract

This article discusses the relationship between curriculum and teaching and its contextualisation in learning with multicultural values. This study is very relevant considering that Indonesia is a nation that consists of diverse ethnic groups and is rich in cultural and religious differences. This anthropological inevitability requires an ability that is compatible with existing cultural realities. In this context, education plays an important role in giving birth to people who do not stutter from differences. To that end, designing a curriculum with multicultural values while translating it into the learning process is an effort to continue to be actualized. The relational model between curriculum and teaching that allows in internalizing multicultural values includes: the dualistic model, the interlocking model, the concentric model and the cycle model.
