The research aims to know (1) the meaning of marriage for adult single women and (2) the biggest fear aboutmarriage. The research used qualitative descriptive methods. The research was conducted in Makassar citywhere types and data sources used primary and secondary data. Primary data or main data is taken frominterview and secondary data or supporting documents are collected from books, dissertation, theses,journals, articles, and internet. There were 10 (ten) informants as samples were interviewed and the results ofthese interviews were analyzed using several theories. The research result indicate that (1) 80% informantswhich were interviewed by researcher said that marriage does not have to be rushed and considered thatmarriage at their present age is not a very important thing to be soon celebrated, and the rest informantsconsidered that marriage is very important considering the growing age. Some of informants also assume thatmarriage is very important but selecting the person is not an easy thing to be done because of manyconsiderations. Some of them also said that marriage is important but only see that thing as a fulfillment forsocial needs (2) 70% informants answered that their biggest fear in marriage are divorce, domestic violence,and there are also another response such us wrong choice, financial instability, rude, and unfaithfulness.Keywords: Marriage, Single Woman, Adulthood

The research aims to know (1) the role of marriage with the same ethnic for Chinese peopleand (2) the obstacles for different ethnic relations. The research used qualitative descriptivemethods. The research was conducted in Makassar city. Types and data sources usedprimary and secondary data.. There were 5 (five) informants as samples were interviewedand the results of these interviews were analyzed using several theories. The research resultindicate that (1) the same ethnic marriage for Chinese people have several role forexample, retaining custom, economy consideration of the candidate, culture and custom likediligent and work hard, considerations of business (developing business to be moreadvanced and big), heretics tradition, belief (religion). and past trauma for social friction.(2) Different ethnic relations caused pro and contra. The pro said different ethnic relationsdepend on each person who runs their relationship, agreement and approval from parentsor family also have influence to that relations. Besides, if the candidate comes fromdifferent ethnic it still can be tolerated as long as its person accept to follow the Chinesetradition. Another response also said that it is not a big deal if the candidate not come fromChinese ethnic because the family tree from grandfather and grandmother have mixed withanother ethnic.Keywords: Marriage, Ethnic, Chinese

This paper tries to describe the Marxist Feminist values that are embedded within themovie Suffragette. Suffragette is a movie created by Sara Gayron and was premiered bythe French cinema PathÃ©. Suffragette was inspired by a true story of the movement fromthe Radical Feminist group Suffragette led by Emmeline Pankhurst, in fighting for thewomenâ€™s rights for political participation. Suffragette tells the story using the perspectiveof the main character Maud Watts, a laundry service worker who joined Pankhurst inraising the issue of sexual harassment and womenâ€™s rights to vote in front of theParliament; which mainly consists of upper class Caucasian men. This paper exhibits theinequality between the upper class and the domination of masculinity towards thelabors/female labors. This research adapt on Sara Millsâ€™ Discourse Analysismethodology in order to provide description of the Marxist Feminist values which wasadopted within the character of Maud Watt, as the research subject, and the act ofresistance by Suffragettes as the object; in addition, placing the movie viewers as thereader and Sara Gavron as the writer. The values of Marxist Feminism were visiblethrough the scene which the character Maud Watts gave her testimony before the courtand within the Darby Horse Race scene which the group Suffragette performed theirprotest. The court scene showed the resistance from the female labor group, whichrepresents the rejection against the hegemonic masculinity values thatâ€™s projected by theupper class Caucasian men in parliament. In the final scene, the Darby, which wasconsidered as an activity for the elites and demonstrates masculine and competitivevalues, was chosen as a channel to demonstrate the labor class womenâ€™s resistance.Keywords : Representation, Marxist Feminism, Suffragette, Feminist Methodology, Movie.

This study aims to find out how teenagers perceive dilan film romanticism that premieredthroughout Indonesia since January 25, 2018. The method is descriptive method that aims toprovide a picture of a group of people or symptoms. The ongoing research is carried out bythe method of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation as a technique inobtaining data. The perception results shown by adolescents on Sidokapasan X Kec.Simokerto, Surabaya for the Dilan 1990 films are various, and are measured from differentperspectives. The film, titled Dilan 1990, has an influence on adolescents who are stillunstable.Keywords : Perception, Youth, Movie Theaters.

ABSTRACTIn the music industry, record labels are divided into two. The first is the independent record label better known as the indie label, and the second is the major record label known as the major label. Major labels are known as a huge record labels in the music industry, while indie labels are associated with smaller industries. Indie labels, the distribution tends to be uneven and not in official distribution stores or through communities. Indie musicians do more publications through new media, especially social media. Few of the independent musicians is Yuvi and Briliyan, who are personnel from the band Humi Dumi. Social media is used, among others, Instagram and Twitter, facebook, spotify, Youtube, and soundcloud. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze perception of the folk musicians in independent label about new media as a communication medium. This study is a qualitative study using the case study method. This type of research is descriptive research that is supported by the data collection technique through observation, interview, and documentation. The result of this study demonstrate the use of new media that include Instagram, Twitter, Soundcloud, Spotify, Youtube, and website as a medium to communicate. With new media, the interaction between Briliyan and Yuvi and fans becomes easier. With a good interaction, the awareness of the audience to independent musician will also increase.Keywords: Perception, New Media, Independent Music, Communication

Film does not only provide entertainment for the audiences but also raises a realitythat exists in society. Not all films can be enjoyed by all audiences. This is becausethe scenes in the film contain elements of violence, mysticism, sex and other elements.The film of Han Gong Ju is a film adapted from an incident of rape in the Miryangarea, South Korea. This film contains elements of violence. Violence is divided intothree, namely physical, symbolic and sexual violence. The method used in this studyis descriptive content analysis. The results in this study are the existence of elementsof violence both physical, symbolic and sexual violence. AbstractÂ Researchers have the assumption that local press Jawa Pos Radar Madura in the proclamation of the Fuad Amin Imron corruption cases tend to be predominantly controlled by news sources. Therefore, this research tries to do multiplication related anyone news sources chosen; how the relationship between news resources with entwined Fuad Amin; based on the consideration of what are the resources selected news. To discover it to researchers using a series of methods. First, the resource calculation is done in quantity as well as the number of frequencies in the news. Second, do this resource. Third, doing a reading of the news narrative built JPRM. Fourth, do an in-depth interview about the reasons the consideration of the election of the speaker. Research findings show that the neutral and pro dominant speaker is elected as news sources than news sources cons. Value judgment of news, journalists and security factor is the desire to prevent horizontal conflicts became the cornerstone of the election of the news sources. The research also found that the narrative of JPRM is that Fuad Amin's innocence, even he considered meritorious large Bangkalan.Key word: Corruption, News sources, Local press, News narration

Surabaya had a tourism industry sector that people was often known as Kenjeran Park Surabaya.Kenjeran Park was a potential tourism industry, because there was also a culinary tour thatsupportedpeople in spending holiday with their family. In 2017 in Kenjeran Park there is a newtheme park called Atlantis Land Surabaya.The researcher was interested in researching this researchbecause wanted to know the role of public relations Atlantis Land as a relatively new theme park inSurabaya to build its image and become an icon in Kenjeran Parkâ€™s.The literature review used is thepublic relations management process. This research used a qualitative approach and uses descriptivetypes of research. New media has made a significant impact on past media because new media or internet media aremore accessible and used as social media today and are used as a tool to promote goods to be soldonline.This type of research is quantitative. This research was conducted using path analysis with theStatistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program Ver. 23.00 Sample data of 100 respondents tofemale students of SMK 1 Buduran Sidoarjo.The sampling technique used purposive sampling, namelyfor female students of SMK 1 Buduran Sidoarjo because of the technique of determining the samplewith certain considerations. The researcher only conducted a study on Buduran 1 Sidoarjo VocationalHigh School students who have active Instagram users and follow lipstick seller accounts onInstagram social media.The results of this study with the independent variables of consumer attitudesand purchase interest significantly influence the dependent variable, namely endorsement. Many woman have become voilance of victims. Some not receive an affection and protected,even from the closest person of her life. East java have become second rank with the highestlevel of violance against woman in Indonesia. Some of effort in preventing of woman fromvoilance is starting from family. Therefore, this study is aimed for the role of interpersonalcommunication that is conducted by the counselor of intregrated service centre of east java.By using Theory of five general quality references in interpersonal communication fromDevito, which is empathy, openness, positiveness, support and equality, The research wasconducted by using In depth Interview and observation to see directly how the role ofinterpersonal communication by the counselor of intergrated service centre of east java withthe woman a victims of violance. The result showed that the communication betweencounselor of the integrated service centre and woman victims of violance are doing most ofempathy, positiveness , openness, support, and equality.Keywords: Role, Interpersonal Communication, Woman, Violance.
