Abstract

CV ABC is one of the manufacturing industries in Central Java that produces furniture products. The resulting products have good quality so that 60-70 percent of their products are exported while the rest are marketed domestically. The current production process, the application of occupational safety and health have not been fully implemented. From company data for three years, the number of work accidents is 9, 8, and 10 times. The number of hours lost was 154 hours, 168 hours, and 224 hours. Efforts are needed to prevent work accidents that can reduce work productivity. Based on the existing problems, the company needs to identify the causes of work accidents with a fault tree analysis method approach. The factors that cause work accidents can be identified, namely the work area, production process and storage and transfer. This work accident will cause worker productivity to decrease. In 2016 the productivity value was 0.99925, in 2017 the productivity level was 0.99929. In 2017 there was an increase in productivity due to the reduced number of lost hours. In 2018 there was a decrease in the productivity level to 0.99910 due to the increase in the number of lost hours of employees becoming more. The results of the "t" test measurement showed a decrease in the frequency level in 2017 and an increase in the frequency level in 2018. Severity measurements decreased in 2017 and increased in 2018. The safe t value in 2017 has increased. In 2018 there was a decline, so productivity in 2018 decreased. From the relationship between work safety and productivity, it is clear that work accidents cause productivity to decline. In 2016 the productivity value was 0.99925, in 2017 the productivity level was 0.99929.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic made some companies must pay attention to all their business needs appropriately and measurably. Strategic use in some companies there is making the limited on the stock supply, it is expected to reduce the losses that will be experienced by business people. The Sabana franchise has problems in determining the optimal safety stock so that there is no bullwhip effect in the supply chain for these raw materials. The purpose of this study is to determine the value, causes, and proposed solutions to reduce the occurrence of the Bullwhip Effect and can optimally forecast inventory requirements using the Single Exponential Smoothing method. The results obtained from this study are the magnitude of the bullwhip effect that occurs in the supply chain Franchise Sabana, which has a value of 1.036 and the value is greater than 1. which means that there has been a Bullwhip effect on the observed supply chain. From the analysis results, it is known that the causes of the Bullwhip effect include the absence of system users and strategies in forecasting needs, unmeasured supply or inventory shortages, fluctuating price fluctuations, order sizes, and order fulfillment grace periods, and forecasting results for inventory in the next month. of 663.6 kg with a minimum stock limit of 351.7 kg and a maximum stock limit of 975.6 kg. Ways that may be effective to reduce the bullwhip effect that occurs include managing product availability properly, namely by applying forecasting on controlled sales of raw material orders and also the accuracy of information from product sales so that business owners will find it easy to calculate forecasting values for the period to come. come to be able to optimally and efficiently in financing business activities.

Abstract

Factory layout is one of the most important problems in a company, because the arrangement of facilities affects the efficiency and cost of manufacturing products. PT. Sermani Steel of Makassar City is one of the companies engaged in the manufacture or production of zinc-coated steel sheets (Zn) with a production capacity of 3000 tons/year, the problem that occurs is that the layout of related departments is far apart, causing large moving costs. The CRAFT Algorithm method is an improvement program that seeks optimum planning by making improvements in stages with the help of the WinQsb software. The CRAFT algorithm method can describe each department and calculate the Material Handling Cost (OMH) experienced by the product during the production process. Based on the results of research conducted, the cost of moving materials in the initial layout is Rp. 1,636,270,800/year after repairing the layout of the facility, the transfer fee is Rp. 1,467,309,300/year with a difference of Rp. 168,961,500 per year, material transfer costs have decreased by 10% from the initial layout.

Abstract

For companies in the service sector, especially REF Barbershop, quality improvement and service processes must be customer oriented. To improve the quality of customer service at REF Barbershop, a service quality analysis method is needed. An effective service quality analysis method is to combine the Service Quality (SERVQUAL) method which is integrated with the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method using the House Of Quality Model. The application of the SERVQUAL method to identify strengths or advantages in the service industry, while the QFD method guarantees that services will be provided according to customer needs. The QFD method using the House Of Quality Model is a collection of matrices containing customer desires and service quality characteristics which are all generated from questionnaire processing. Service design at REF Barbershop using the Service Quality method found a gap that occurred on the customer side, namely between the level of perception and the level of expectation, namely: Availability of toilets obtained a gap value of -0.880, Having good and modern equipment obtained a gap value of -0.580, Cleanliness and completeness equipment, the gap value is -0.360, Availability of queue numbers is obtained the gap value is -0.180, Employees receive consumer complaints quickly, the gap value is -0.140, friendly and courteous service to customers is obtained, the gap value is -0.080. The use of Quality Function Deployment which makes the level of customer satisfaction as the Voice of the Customer and makes the House of Quality then gets 4 Technical Responses, namely: providing training to improve employee performance and rewarding employees whose performance has increased and giving sanctions to employees who perform poorly, providing queue numbers and toilets to increase comfort, improve and schedule regular equipment quality checks, make picket schedules for facility maintenance and cleanliness. From the results of the technical response it can be useful to build and improve services at REF Barbershop.

Abstract

One of the goals of investment is to get a benefit in the form of profits and funds saved. Based on official data compiled on the IDX's official website, company shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange can be divided into 9 sectors, one of which is consumption industry. The consumption sector is a general sector used by the general public consisting of the food and beverages, the pharmaceuticals, househol, and houseware sector. Investors must choose which shares to buy or sell. Investors can analyze a stock using fundamental and intrinsic analysis. The purpose of this study is to analyze issuers that have the 10 largest market capital in the industrial consumption sector, then analyze the performance of issuers using a fundamental approach EPS, PE Ratio, Price to Sales, Return on Assets, Return on Equity, Return on Capital Employed, and Interest Coverage. The final stage is to determine the undervalued and overvalued companies using 4th quarter 2020. Based on 10 companies that have the largest market capital in the consumer industry sector (UNVR, HMSP, ICBP, KLBF, GGRM, MYOR, INDF, SIDO, MLBI, and KAEF) can be concluded that (1) The highest EPS ratio is GGRM and the lowest is KAEF, the lowest PER Ratio is GGRM and the highest is KAEF, the lowest PS Ratio is KAEF and the highest is UNVR, the highest ROA ratio is MLBI and the lowest is KAEF, the highest ROE ratio is MLBI and the lowest is KAEF , the highest ROCE ratio is MLBI and the lowest is KAEF, the highest IC ratio is HMSP and the lowest is KAEF; and (2) There are 2 issuers in the undervalued category, namely GGRM and HMSP; while included in the overvalued category is KAEF.

Abstract

Batam is known as an industrial city, in addition to an industrial city, Batam is also known as a city with beach tourism, some beaches that are often visited by tourists are beaches located in the Barelang area. Coastal tourism needs to be mapped to find out the coastal area. The purpose of this study is to make a mapping of coastal tourist areas that are often visited by tourists using a Geographic Information System based on data on the level of tourist satisfaction with the beach using the servsqual method. based on the results of the study, there are three beaches that are frequently visited by tourists, namely Mirota beach, Melayu beach and Vio-vio beach where based on the level of visitor satisfaction for Mirota beach from the five dimensions using the servsqual method are in the satisfied category, for Malay beach there is one dimension in the dissatisfied category is tangible (-1.005), while for Vio-vio beach there are 2 dimensions in the dissatisfied category, namely tangible (-1.014) and empathic (-1.077). for mapping using a geographic information system where on the map of tourist attractions the coast for the Malay coast is indicated by a red triangle, Mirota beach is indicated by a pink triangle and for Vio-vio beach is indicated by a black triangle. With the mapping of coastal tourism is expected to provide information for tourists in knowing the distribution of coastal areas that are often visited.

Abstract

Along with the rapid growth of the manufacturing industry, companies are required to create advantages in order to survive and compete with competing companies. Competition between companies requires every manufacturer to make improvements for the better. One of the industry players who are expected to make improvements is TS. aluminum. Where the improvements made focus on the production process line related to the company's productivity. The production process often arises in the form of a series of wastes such as waiting time (waiting time), work in process (WIP) and transportation that is too long. A number of these wastes can result in disruption to performance and decreased productivity. Through this research, efforts were made to reduce waste by using lean manufacturing, VSM, and FMEA. The results showed that there was a decrease in the set up time to 2135 seconds, the waiting time between cutting and filing operations to 256.8 seconds, the turning waiting time to 262.31 and the loss of transportation distance by 22 m in the finishing polishing operation which resulted in the time required reduced to 123.94 seconds. In addition, the company experienced an increase in labor productivity of 5.18, capital productivity of 28.52, productivity of raw materials 4.3, productivity of other components by 33.65 and total productivity of the company by 2.04.

Abstract

PT. BEST is a manufacturing industry that is engaged in processing palm cooking oil, one of the processed products from the production process is shortening which is margarine for processed household products. In the production process found a very high level of product defects, several factors that become obstacles that cause product defects. The high level of product defects resulted in low product quality and a decrease in the amount of production. Product quality improvement using the DMAIC Six Sigma concept approach is able to identify the factors causing product defects and improve product quality. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that cause product defects and provide suggestions for improvements to improve the quality of Shortening products. The results of the analysis show that the DPMO value is 22,090.93 with a sigma level of 3.5124 with the largest defect rate being cardboard defects of 40.83%. Proposed improvements provide training to operators to improve machine operating skills, periodic inspection of raw materials to maintain the quality of raw materials, periodic machine repairs to avoid a decrease in the quality of production.

Abstract

The study was made to determine the correlation of the factors that influence the increase in sales capacity of the Lestari cake ingredient shop which sells cakes and cake ingredients in Batam City. The company is run by a family and is engaged in the business of making bread and also marketing it. Challenges are always there, with cafes & bakeries already having brands and interests. Of course, the challenges are difficult and a problem for business people. This study uses quantitative methods to obtain the relationship between variables and to test existing hypotheses using samples obtained from the existing population. The preparation of the data was taken by means of observation, question and answer and questionnaires. The sample in the study was 98 people. The questions posed to the entire sample amounted to 20 questions. The report uses three free variables and one bound variable, so that each variable can have 5 questions asked. Of all the questions that exist, all of them are declared valid. From the results of the analysis test between Product Quality (X1), Price (X2), Promotion (X3) variables in sales capacity (Y), it can be explained that among the three independent variables, the one that has more influence on sales capacity is the product, namely 55, 60% has an effect on increasing sales capacity.

Abstract

Astra Daihatsu Motor Engine Plant is a manufacturing company that produces motor vehicle engines. In the production process, Logistic supply partner Machining is a Logistics Sub-division whose task is to carry out the distribution process of small parts. Supply is carried out by Man power to the available shelves on the production line, in the process this activity has some potential for waste or what is called Muda. If supply activities experience problems that cause delays in the supply process, then the worst possibility is that the production line can stop and make the company suffer losses. For this reason, it is necessary to make efforts to eliminate these Muda potentials which is the purpose of this research. Process small part is carried out using dolly. This can lead to the potential for Muda. Of the 8 types of Muda, there are potential for 3 types, namely muda waiting, muda transportation and muda motion. For this reason, it is necessary to increase the number of dolly, in order to avoid the potential of double handling. In addition to this dolly, the manufacturing process must follow the rules of anthropometry, which is a collection of numerical data related to the characteristics of the human body in the form of size, shape and strength, as well as the application of these data to handling design problems. In addition to anthropometric data, data are also needed that will affect the design of the dolly such as the size and shape of the box to be carried. By using the 50% percentile of anthropometric data and also box size data, the dolly design to be made is 156 cm long, dolly width 83 cm, dolly height 83 cm and dolly handle height is 96 cm.
