ABSTRACT Developing abbreviations are not only found in the field of linguistic sciences but also in the field of economics, such as found in the communities in the WhatsApp group. This study aims to classify any abbreviation found in the information community within the WhatsApp Mirae Asset Group OE, West Sumatera. Then, the process of forming the abbreviation available in the information community stock in the WhatsApp Group Mirae Asset OE, West Sumatera. There are three stages in the study, that's the collection stage and the supply of data, the data analysis stage, and the presentation phase of data analysis. At the data supply stage used Sudaryanto. Sudaryanto used a method of gathering data using listening methods and tap techniques, It is called a basic technique. In advanced techniques, SBLC techniques (involuntary-free litigation-free) only listen to the use of language without being involved in the process of language use without getting involved. Next, followed by note technique. At the data analysis stage, the method used is the solid method of Sudaryanto. By determining tool used a referral method that has two techniques, It's a basic sorting technique of intralingual PUP, the HBB technique, and the equating technique (HBS). Data analysis methods and techniques used formal and informal methods set out by Sudaryanto. Data analysis found four types of improvisation. Which is; an abbreviation, partition, acronym, and a symbol of letters. Abbreviation found 13 data, section found 7 data, acronym found 12 data, and the symbol a letter found 9th letter of data. In the formation process, the formation of the abbreviation process abbreviated 13 data, the 7th part of the data, 12 data acronyms, and the 9th letter of data. There was a process that wasn't exposed by the previous theory, It's the merge of shortness, the principle that was described by Kridalaksana.

This research aims to explain ways to construct a structural constructive society and severalfactors to establish it in The Stars Shine Down written by Sidney Sheldon in 1992. It uses adescriptive qualitative method. The Constructive Structuralism theory by Pierre Bourdieu isused by applying four concepts: capital, fields, structure, and strategy. This research revealsthat leaders have the right to control and manage their society. Also, the holding capital canforce the lower class to obey their order. The existence of ruler depends on the amount oftheir capital and the way they compete to defend their position in society.

Abstract

Determining the sentences' syntactic structure was the research's main goal. Oneof the most important things to acquire in order to comprehend English isgrammatical structure. Understanding syntactic structure is crucial becausepoorly structured sentences might convey the wrong meaning. Syntacticstructure aids in word recognition, guarantees that sentences flow naturallytogether, and determines how words are arranged in lengthy phrases. The formsand functions of syntactic structure employed in James Ross' The Card are thetwo primary subjects of analysis in this study. This particular research isqualitative in nature. To be more precise, the writer gathered the informationthrough non-participatory observation. The majority of the findings on the formssupport Seely's (2012) postulated forms of syntactic structure. Subject, verb, object syntactic structure is the most common type. Then, the functions foundfully validate the syntactic structural functions described by Morley (2000).Nominal function is the primary function of syntactic structure.

Abstract

This research investigates a dystopian graphic novel written by Kelly Sue Deconnick. It portrays women as objects and forms of women's objectification in a male-dominated world. It utilizes Simone de Beauvoir's concepts of objectivity and subjectivity to explore the position of women as objects in several areas, including private and social life. The research was qualitative. The data was collected from the literary work itself as well as other scientific articles and literature analyses. The findings showed two forms of objectification done toward women, including isolation and oppression to punish and correct their behavior. This study highlights how these themes mirror real-world gender dynamics, fostering a critical dialogue about systemic patriarchy. The graphic novel serves as a powerful medium to question and challenge societal norms regarding women's roles and identities.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out and explain in detail how LIA teachers in West Sumatera apply flipped learning since this institution has successfully applied this learning process since 2018 (even before the Pandemic). This study also found problems faced by LIA teachers in conducting flipped learning and ways to solved the problems. An ethnographic research was conducted to study how teachers in LIA applied flipped learning since it is considered as an in-depth study of a particular group of people in their own environment. The researchers observed their routines activities, participated in their activities, and conducted in-depth interviews. Moreover, the researchers studied not only observed the teachers but also all component that supported the implementation of flipped learning in LIA. There were 3 LIA branches and there were 7 teachers observed (3 teachers are in LIA Padang, 2 teachers are in LIA Bukittinggi, and the others are from LIA Payakumbuh). From the research, it was found that Flipped learning in LIA is compulsory. All teachers need to follow the guidance and procedures that has been instructed by the TTD (Teachers Training Development). However, different teachers have different techniques in fulfilling every step of the procedures. This research explains the guidance and steps of how flipped materials implemented in LIA. It can be a great source for other teachers to find out how to apply it in their own class.
