Abstract

This study aims to implement a cooperative approach with the type of Team Games Tournament (TGT) model in SCIENCE learning in improving the learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Inpres Tidung Elementary School in Rappocini District, Makassar City. This research was carried out at SD Inpres Tidung, Rappocini Sub-District, Makassar City on September 5, 2011 until October 5, 2011. This study used a type of CAR (PTK) with the aim of knowing how to apply the Team Games Tournament (TGT) Cooperative Approach to SCIENCE learning in improving learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD Inpres Tidung, Rappocini Subdistrict, Makassar City. The research target is children in class V in the academic year 2011/2012 odd semester as many as 34 children, totaling 11 boys and girls totaling 23 people. Data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and tests are analyzed through quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results show that there is an increase in children's learning outcomes in SCIENCE learning after getting learning through the Team Games Tournament (TGT) type. Learning activities in learning have increased in terms of cohesiveness in groups, asking questions during learning, children can solve problems encountered during learning, children can answer teacher's oral questions, children submit responses when learning takes place and are shown learning outcomes with test scores child.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability to write descriptions for fifth-grade students of SD Inpres Pabbangiang Gowa Regency which includes the content of ideas, content organization, grammar, diction, and spelling. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were students of class V in Pabbangiang Inpres Elementary School, Gowa Regency, totaling 43 students. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and tests. The entire data obtained is analyzed through stages: data identification, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that the results of the pre-action test in the description writing skills of fifth-grade students of Pabbangiang Inpres Elementary School in Gowa Regency which included aspects of the content of ideas, content organization, grammar, diction, and spelling were still lacking. After an action is taken through cycles I and II by applying the semantic mapping strategy in learning to write descriptions, the students' skills increase from the category of being very good. The final results of this study indicate that the application of modeling strategies can improve students' writing skills which include aspects of content ideas, content organization, grammar, diction, and spelling.

Abstract

This research reveals the application of picture and picture learning model by determining the subject matter which become the focus of the study, namely the activity on students' speaking skill. Thus, the purpose of this study to determine the ability of students 'speaking skills in the learning process using the media images in class III MI Al-Mawasir Padang Kalua'. The implementation of research using quantitative and qualitative approach. The type of research used is classroom action research (PTK) designed through three cycles. Each cycle lasts for two meetings. Subjects in this study were third grade students MI Al-Mawasir Padang Kalua, which amounted to 18 students consisting of 10 men and 8 women. Data collection techniques conducted in this study, namely interviews, tests, and observations. This research uses qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. Qualitative data was analyzed by qualitative descriptive analysis technique, ie categorization, data presentation, and data reduction, while quantitative data was analyzed by using percentage formula. The results of this study indicate that the average value of activity in students' speaking skills increases in each cycle. In the first cycle with a mean score of 68.05, it increases in cycle II with the average value of 71.52, and increasing again in cycle III with the average value of 84.72. Thus, it can be seen that the use of modelpicture and picture can effectively improve the students' speaking skills in the class IIIMI Al-Mawasir Padang Kalua.

Abstract

This research is to find out how to improve the skill of writing simple essay through the use of drawing media series in fourth grade students of Islamic Elementary School Datok Sulaiman Palopo City. Research using qualitative and quantitative approach with Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is designed through two cycles. Research subjects, students of Islamic Elementary School Datok Sulaiman class IV that number 24 students. Data collection techniques used, namely observation, documentation, and tests. The research data obtained were analyzed by using descriptive statistic formula (percentage) to express descriptively the research result. Furthermore, to discuss and explain the results of research that is quantitative descriptive then used techniques of data reduction analysis, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the study found that in prasiklus stage, the average score of students' writing skill is 54.37 with 20% classical learning completeness. After implemented the learning by applying Media drawing series, in the first cycle, the average score of students' simple writing skill is 56.25 with 50% complete classical learning. Furthermore, the cycle IIdengan average value of simple writing skill is 76.45 with 66% complete classical learning. Thus, the skill of writing a simple essay in the fourth grade of Islamic Elementary School Datok Sulaiman Palopo by applying the series image media conducted from the first cycle to the 2 show significant results. Thus, serial image media need to be referenced by teachers in activities.

Abstract

The initial idea of this study was the low learning outcomes of students in science lessons, especially green plant material. This is because teachers are less creative in using teaching methods and models that can help students in learning. The main problem in this study is how to improve student learning outcomes in green plants through jigsaw cooperative learning in class V SD Negeri 16 Kota Parepare. This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes by using a jigsaw type cooperative learning model for grade V students of SD Negeri 16 Kota Parepare. The procedure for activities in research includes planning, action, observation and reflection. Subjects in this study were teachers and students of class V SD Negeri 16 Kota Parepare TA. 2010/2011 with a total of 22 students with details of 14 men and 8 women. Data collection techniques used are observation, test, and documentation techniques. The results showed that student learning outcomes in green plants with the use of jigsaw cooperative learning method in cycle I were categorized as poor (K) then increased in cycle II with categories of Enough (C), and in cycle III categorized as Good (B). Thus, the use of jigsaw cooperative learning method can improve the learning outcomes of grade V students of SD Negeri 16 Kota Parepare.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa pada proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media gambar yang ada pada lingkungan siswa sehingga mudah untuk berbicara. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini dilakukan 2 siklus, setiap sisklus berlangsung selama dua kali pertemuan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V di SDN 24 Temmalebba Kecamatan Bara Kota Palopo, yang berjumlah 35 siswa terdiri dari 19 orang laki-laki dan 16 orang perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu wawancara, tes dan pengamatan. Penelitian ini dapat menggunakan sebuah teknik analisis data secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu cara teknik pengolahan data dengan cara mendeskripsikan hasil data kualitatif meliputi hasil observasi dan catatan dilapangan. Sedangkan data kuantitatif dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik statistik dalam bentuk perhitungan rata-rata (mean). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata keterampilan berbicara siswa meningkat pada tiap siklusnya. Pada prasikls yang nilai rata-ratanya 2,13,meningkat pada siklus I yang nilai rata-ratanya 3,04, dan semakin meningkat pada siklus II yang nilai rata-ratanya 3,77. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu dengan menggunaan model example non example maka keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas V di SDN 24 Temmalebba Kec.Bara Kota Palopo dapat meningkat.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out the improvement of writing essay writing skills that were applied through the image media to the fifth-grade students of SDN 09 Mattekko kec. Bara City of Palopo. This study uses a quantitative and qualitative approach with a type of Classroom Action Research (CAR) designed through three cycles. The subject of the research was Mattekko 09 Elementary School Elementary School students, amounting to 24 students. Data collection techniques used are observation, documentation, and tests. Data obtained were analyzed using a descriptive statistical formula (percentage) to describe descriptively the results of the study. Furthermore, to discuss and explain the results of research that are qualitative descriptive, the data reduction analysis, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques are used. The results found that the pre-cycle stage, the average value of students was 58.54 with classical learning completeness of 20.5%. After learning to apply the picture media, in the first cycle, the average value was 67.70 with the classical completeness was 58.33%. Furthermore, in the second cycle, the average value was 74.58 with 79.16% classical learning completeness. Then, continued in the third cycle the average value is 81.45 with classical learning completeness is 95.83%. Thus, the skill of writing essays in the description of grade V students of SDN 09 Mattekko by applying picture media starting from the first cycle to the third cycle shows effective results. Therefore, the image media needs to be used as a reference by the teacher in learning to write essays in elementary schools, especially SDN 09 Mattekko, Palopo city.

Abstract

Thus, this study aims to determine the improvement of science learning outcomes that are applied through the use of Make a Macth model in third grade students of Islamic Elementary School Datok Sulaiman in Palopo City. This research uses qualitative and quantitative approach with Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is designed through two cycles. Research subjects, students of Islamic Elementary School Datok Sulaiman class III which amounted to 24 students. Data collection techniques used, namely observation, documentation, and tests. The research data obtained were analyzed by using descriptive statistic formula (percentage) to express descriptively the research result. Furthermore, to discuss and explain the results of research that is quantitative descriptive then used techniques of data reduction analysis, data presentation, and conclusion. From the research results found that in the prasiklus stage, with the average score of students' learning outcomes is 53.75 with 20% classical learning completeness. After implemented the learning by applying the Make a macth learning model, in the first cycle, the average value of science learning achievement is 63.75 with 50% classical learning completeness. Furthermore, in cycle II with the average value of increased interest in science learning is 75 with 66% complete classical learning. Thus, the improvement of science learning outcomes in class III Islamic elementary school Datok Sulaiman Palopo.

Abstract

This study aims to find out that there is an increase in the use of teaching aids so that they are motivated to study in Grade III Islamic Elementary School Datok Sulaiman Palopo, To find out student learning motivation can be improved by using teaching aids in class III Islamic Elementary School Datok Sulaiman Palopo. (PTK) which consists ofB two cycles each cycle carried out 3 meetings with the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were Grade III Islamic SD Datok Sulaiman Palopo students in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year with 28 students. Sources of data used in this study are primary data and secondary data, data collection techniques in this study are interviews, observation, questionnaires and documentation. data obtained shows that the average value in class III before the use of props in prasiklus 53.39. In the first cycle researchers have used teaching aids and the results of the average student scores are 80.53, but in this learning there are still a number of students who have not been maximal and researchers plan to make improvements and continue to cycle II. Then the average student score reaches 89.82. Based on completeness criteria (KKM) in mathematics subjects have achieved results and researchers ended this study until the second cycle.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the use of audio-visual media that can improve science learning outcomes in the third grade of SD 50 Bulu ’Datu. This research is classroom action research (PTK) with qualitative and quantitative research types consisting of two cycles each cycle 3 meetings, data collection techniques carried out by observing, testing, documentation with the stages of planning, implementation, observation, reflection. The results showed that: by using audio-visual media in science learning the learning outcomes of students increased, it can be seen in the data obtained which showed that the average value in class III in the first cycle reached 73 but there were still several students who are still lacking and the researchers proceed to cycle II, the learning outcomes of students increase with the results of the average score reaching 95 based on minimum completeness criteria (KKM) in science subjects have achieved results and researchers end this research until the second cycle.
