Abstract

Kapal fiber bila terjadi kebocoran di laut maka kapal akan tenggelam, hal tersebut dikarenakan massa jenis fiber lebih besar daripada massa jenis air, oleh karena itu perlu dianalisis dan dihitung seberapa banyak foam polyurethane tersebut yang diperlukan untuk mengapungkan kapal sesuai dengan berat kapal yakni 5 GT. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Oktober-Desember 2017, bertempat di PT. Jelajah Samudera Internasional dan Laboratorium Fishing Boat Departemen Perikanan Tangkap Universitas Diponegoro. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis kemampuan daya apung cadangan berbahan polyurethane dan Menghitung kebutuhan jumlah dan harga foam polyurethane yang di perlukan untuk mengapungkan kapal ikan fiber 5 GT  yang dibuat di PT. Jelajah Samudra Internasional Kab. Jepara. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan dua tahap pelaksanaan, yakni penelitian di galangan dan penelitian skala laboratorium dalam spesimen kecil. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian yaitu bahwa foam polyurethane dengan berat 15 gr dapat menahan beban fiber sebesar 1 kg. Hasil uji apung didapatkan untuk mengapungkan kapal ikan fiber 5 GT dibutuhkan 45 kg foam polyurethane. Kebutuhan harga foam polyurethane yang dibutuhkan untuk satu kapal yakni sebesar Rp 2.475.000. Fiber ship are very difficult to overcome when there is a leakage in the sea and its possible for the ship to sink. Therefore, it needs to be analyzed and calculated how much polyurethane foam is needed, how many liters if its melted and how much the  volume when it becomes a polyurethane foam solid. This research was conducted in October-December 2017, held at PT. Jelajah Samudera Internasional and Laboratory Fishing Boat Department of Capture Fisheries, Diponegoro University. The purpose of this study is to analyze the capability of alternative buoyancy polyurethane then calculate and analyze the quantity that needed and foam polyurethane price to float the 5 GT fiber fishing ship that made in PT. Jelajah Samudera Internasiona, Jepara Regency. The method used is descriptive with two steps of implementation, i.e. research in the shipyard and laboratory scale in small specimens.The results from the research obtain that the polyurethane foam with 15 gr weight can hold 1 kg fiber load. The float test results revealed that to float fiber fishing ships with a size of 5 GT, needs 45 kg of polyurethane foam. The price needed to float the ship is Rp 2.475.000.

Abstract

Penelitian pengasapan ikan dengan membandingkan tungku sierra leone dengan tungku tradisional telah dilakukan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian pengasapan ikan adalah studi kasus dan eksperimental laboratories. Produk ikan asap yang dihasilkan dari tungku sierra leone dan tungku tradisional dianalisis berdasarkan parameter uji TPC, kandungan phenol dan analisa proksimat (kadar protein, kadar lemak, kadar air,kadar garam, abu, serta water activity). Selain itu juga dilakukan pengamatan organoleptik meliputi kenampakan, bau, rasa, dan konsistensi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tungku asap tradisional dengan konstruksi yang berbeda pada kualitas dan karakteristik fisik (analisis kimia proksimat dan sensorik) dari berbagai jenis bahan baku ikan yang berbeda. Dua metode pengasapan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengasapan panas (hot smoking) dengan perbedaan lama waktu pengasapan (0.5 jam dan 2 jam). Sebelum pengasapan, ikan direndam dalam garam 10% selama 30 menit. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan ada perbedaan signifikan pada penggunaan tungku tradisional yang berbeda. Hasil dari parameter sensori kedua tungku secara keseluruhan dalam batas penerimaan panelis. Penggunaan tungku tradisional dan sierra leone pada parameter mikrobiologi (TPC) pada 5 jenis ikan (Pari, Manyung, Kurisi, Lele, Bandeng) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan, begitu juga dengan parameter proksimat. Kata kunci : Alat pengasap, sistem pengasapan, kualitas, ikan asap The research of smoking fish by comparing the furnace of sierra leone with a traditional furnace has been done. The methods used in the research of smoking fish is case study and experimental laboratories. Smoked fish product which produced from the furnace of sierra leone and a traditional furnace are analyzed based on the parameter test of TPC, the content of phenols and proksimat analysis (protein content, fat content, water content, salt content, ash, and water activity). Besides that also done observation organoleptik includes appearance, smell, taste and consistency. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of use a traditional smoke furnace with different construction on quality and physical characteristics (proximate chemical analysis and sensory) from various raw materials of different spesies fish. Two methods smoking which used in this research are hot smoking with differences in the length of time smoking (0.5 hours and 2 hours). Before smoking, fish is soaked in salt 10% for 30 minutes. Findings from this research show that there is significant difference in the use of different traditional furnace. The result of the parameter sensory both furnace overall in the acceptance boundaries of panelists. Abstract

Pantai Karang Jahe (PKJ) merupakan obyek wisata yang memiliki potensi, seperti air laut yang jernih, pasir laut yang putih, terumbu karang serta hamparan pohon cemara, sehingga membuat banyak wisatawan berkunjung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui valuasi ekonomi serta persepsi wisatawan terhadap PKJ. Penelitian dilakukan di PKJ Jl. Rembang-Lasem, Punjulharjo, Kecamatan Rembang, Kabupaten Rembang Jawa Tengah pada Desember 2017. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan melakukan survey kepada 100 wisatawan. Pengumpulan data dari responden (dengan kuesioner) teknik sampling accidental sampling, sedangkan analisis valuasi ekonomi nilai biaya wisata menggunakan pendekatan Travel Cost Method. Tipologi wisatawan mayoritas pelajar/mahasiswa, datang berkelompok, tujuan berlibur, ber-pendapatan kurang dari Rp.500.000/bulan dan berasal dari wilayah Rembang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan total biaya perjalanan yang dikeluarkan wisatawan selama berwisata di PKJ pada tahun 2017 sebesar Rp.136.651.504.395,00; 2016 Rp.93.880.800.000,00; 2015 Rp. 88.050.900.000,00; dan 2014 Rp. 1.535.734.440,00. Nilai total ekonomi pariwisata dipengaruhi oleh jumlah wisatawan dan laju inflasi. Persepsi wisatawan terhadap PKJ masuk kedalam 2 kategori yaitu kurang baik dan tidak baik. Persepsi wisatawan mengenai potensi wisata kuliner, wahana wisata, pelayanan pengelola pantai PKJ yaitu tidak baik. Wisata pantai, fasilitas umum, potensi kenyamanan mendapatkan nilai kurang baik, sehingga wisatawan cukup berkeinginan untuk datang kembali The Karang Jahe Beach (KJB) is a tourist destination with many potentials such as clear sea water, white sand, coral reefs and pine trees. Those potential lead a lot of tourists visit to KJB. The aims of this research were to determine the economic valuation and the tourists perception. The research was conducted at KJB Jl. Rembang-Lasem, Punjulharjo, Rembang Sub-district, Rembang Regency, Central Java in December 2017. The research used quantitative method, with a survey conducted to 100 tourists as a respondents. Accidental sampling is used for data collection using questionnaire. The economic valuation analysis of the tour’s cost value Travel Cost Method approach. Typologies of tourists are mostly students coming from Rembang, in a group for holiday, having incomes of less than Rp.500.000/month. The results showed the total travel cost spent tourists during the trip is Rp.136.651.504.395 in 2017; Rp.93.880.800.000,00 in 2016; Rp.88.050.900.000,00 in 2015; and Rp.1.535.734.440,00 in 2014. The total value of the tourism affected by the number of tourist and rate of inflation. Tourists perception about KJB fall into two categories these are not good enough good and not good. Tourists perception about the potential of culinary tourism, tourist rides and beach management service are not good. Coastal tourism, public facilities, and comfort potential getting less attractive scores to anable tourists to return again in the future.

Abstract

South Sumatera province since 2000, began managing the fishery resources separately with the Province of Bangka Belitung. Bangka Belitung contribution in the fisheries sector of the South Sumatera province in 1999 by 72 %. Based on these conditions, then do research on fisheries development opportunities in the surrounding waters of South Sumatera. This research was conducted in February 2006 until July 2006 in two Regency namely Komiring Ogan Ilir and Banyuasin Regency.  The results showed that the leading commodities in the province of South Sumatera is shrimp, crab, marine catfish (Arius thalassinus), and wolf herring (Chirosentrus dorab). This leading commodities still have a great opportunity to be developed for their utilization rates still ranged between 58,42% – 66,77% Fishing gear priority based on the analysis of MCA (multy Critical Analysis) with considering the biological aspects, technical, social and economic is trammelnet, drift gillnet and Stationary-bamboo lift net.   Key Words: Development, Capture Fisheries , South Sumatera province

Abstract

Exploratory research to measure biological variables consisting of feed intake, feed utilization efficiency, feed conversion ratio (FCR), growth and survival of fish was done in the field, in Comal, Pemalang . The aims of the research were to assess the performance of the production as well as to assess the dynamics of the water quality and feed utilization efiiensi catfish (Clarias gariepinus, Burch) cultivated with biofloc technology.  The trial fish were reared in cement tanks at the density of 1,000 fish/m2. During maintenance periode, the fish were fed on the artificial diet containing protein of 30%, fat of 5%, fiber of 6%, mineral mix of 13%, and water of 13%. The trial feed was given by applying  ad satiation methode.  The data optain were analyzed descriptively, based on the tables, histograms, and charts provided. Water quality parameters were measured in every 2 weeks along the maintenance period. This study indicated that biofloc technology applied in the catfish (C. gariepinus) farming was able to increase the fish production, improve the feed utilization efficiency, and reduced feed conversion rate. This technology was also able to improve the water quality and increase the survivors of the trial fish. By Applying biofloc technology could support  the catfish life until the density  of 1,000 fish/m2. Keywords : catfish, biofloc, production, growth, feed, efficiency

Abstract

Pesticide usage in agriculture activities which had been wasted into water environment affect to waters and organism quality. This study tried to investigate growth and survival rate of Cyprinus carpio Linn juvenile that had been exposured by pesticide and running at November 2006 – January 2007 in Center of Fish Hatchery Ungaran, Semarang. Thus, 0.7 – 0.8 gram of fishes were tested on media that contained Regent 0.3 pesticides which has fipronil 0.3% active compound. Furthermore, this study has several steps which are determination of concentration range test, definitive test to determine LC50-96 h and sublethal toxicity test. Result of determination of concentration range test showed that fipronil pesticide has low-level limit concentration 0.1 mg/L and up-level limit concentration 10 mg/L. Definitive test showed that LC50-96 h was 0.84 mg/L. Result of sublethal toxicity test showed that pesticide which has fipronil active compound with different concentrations (0.000 mg/L; 0.084 mg/L; 0.168 mg/L; 0.252 mg/L; 0.336 mg/L) significantly affect to growth and survival rate of tested fish. In addition, water quality during this study period showed that all parameters were suitable for tested fish.  Keywords: Fipronile, Cyprinus carpio juvenile, growth, survival

Abstract

 Pengendalian penyakit bakterial yang umum dilakukan dengan pemakaian antibiotik atau  bahan kimia sudah tidak diperbolehkan lagi karena menimbulkan patogen yang resisten  terhadap bahan kimia tersebut, terlebih jika penggunaan tidak sesuai dengan anjuran yang diberikan. Dampak negatif terhadap kesehatan konsumen berupa residu antibiotik juga menjadi pertimbangan yang harus diperhatikan. Manipulasi terhadap populasi mikroba yang berada di perairan guna pencegahan sebelum terjadinya serangan bakteri yang bersifat mematikan perlu dilakukan sebagaimana konsep probiotik sebagai biokontrol. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji kandidat probiotik dalam menekan atau menghambat bakteri patogen Aeromonas hydrophila. Penelitian ini dilaksananakan dalam dua tahap. Tahap pertama adalah tahap pengujian bakteri kandidat probiotik secara in vitro menggunakan metode zona hambat dan kultur bersama pada media agar.  Tahap kedua adalah uji tentang bakteri kandidat probiotik dengan patogen pada media budidaya. Hasil terbaik penelitian tahap pertama pada  uji kultur bersama antara kandidat probiotik B. firmus dengan A. hydrophila pada skala in vitro adalah dengan penambahan probiotik  B. firmus sebanyak 108 cfu/ml. Sedangkan pada penelitian tahap kedua didapatkan hasil berturut-turut perlakuan D dengan tingkat kelangsungan hidup (SR) mencapai 90%, perlakuan C dengan SR 75%, perlakuan A dengan SR 50% dan perlakuan K dengan SR 50%.  Controlling bacterial disease with the use of antibiotics or chemicals is no longer allowed as it results in pathogens that are resistant to the chemicals, especially when not in accordance with the recommendations provided. The negative impactsof the antibiotics residues on the consumers’ health  also need to be considered. Manipulation of microbial populations present in the waters as preventation before the lethal attack of bacteria needs to be done which is in accordance with the concept of probiotics as biocontrol.The purpose of this study was to test the probiotic candidates in suppressing or inhibiting pathogenic bacteria Aeromonas hydrophila. This study was conducted in two stages. The first stage was to test a candidate probiotic bacteria in vitro using culture methods and inhibition zone on the media together. The second stage wasto test candidate probiotic bacteria to pathogens on the cultivation media. The best results in the first phase of the research is shared culture test between probiotic candidate B. FIRMUS with A. hydrophila on vitro scale is the addition of the probiotic B. FIRMUS 108 cfu / ml. While in the second phase of the research results obtained successively: treatment D with a survival rate (SR) reaches 90%, treatment C with SR 75%, treatment A with SR 50% and treatment K with SR 50%.

Abstract

Polyurethane can  be used  as alternative of  substituted material  of  synthetic cork (Styrofoam)  giving buoyancy at float vest. The research was aimed to observe the difference both materials (Polyurethane and cork) on acceptable load, so that efficiency can be estimated. The same load was given to gravity at both material that is 234.576 g, then checked the float ability. Results showed that Polyurethane indicated buoyancy of polyurethane better cork, with efficiency 3.6 %, for sample material with size of 10 cm x 7.5 cm x 5.5 cm. The Significant change of efficiency was expected can be done by determination of material (sample)  according  to  use in  field  and  different  density  of  polyurethane  when  conducting  moldings process.   Key words: The experiment of floating ability

Abstract

 Substrat mangrove terdiri atas fraksi pasir (sand), lumpur (silt), dan liat (clay). Gastropoda adalah kelompok hewan dari filum moluska yang hidup di jenis substrat dari kasar ke halus. Kelimpahan gastropoda dipengaruhi oleh substrat dasar yang merupakan habitat dari gastropoda, serta kandungan nutrien yang berbeda pada tiap fraksi akan mempengaruhi kelimpahan Gastropoda yang berada di dalamnya. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian mengenai hubungan substrat dengan kelimpahan Gastropoda, karena Gastropoda salah satu faktor penting untuk menjaga keseimbangan ekologi pesisir khususnya ekositem mangrove. Penelitian  dilakukan di Hutan Mangrove Kulonprogo Yogyakarta bertujuan untuk mengetahui tipe substrat, kelimpahan Gastropoda dan hubungan kedua variabel tersebut. Penelitian  dilakukan pada bulan April sampai dengan  Mei 2017. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif yaitu metode penelitian yang memberikan gambaran secara sistematis, faktual, akurat mengenai faktor-faktor dan sifat-sifat dari suatu daerah atau populasi. Metode pengambilan sampel substrat dan Gastropoda menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling Method pada 3 stasiun berbeda yaitu stasiun I pada bagian dekat pemukiman penduduk, stasiun II pada bagian dekat tambak, dan stasiun III pada bagian muara sungai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jenis substrat pada tiap stasiun adalah lempung dan lempung berdebu yang didominasi oleh fraksi lumpur (silt) dan pasir (sand). Jenis Gastropoda yang didapatkan berasal dari genus Littoraria, Natica, Faunus, Cerithium, Neritina, Polinices, Conus, Telescopium, dan Nerita. Meningkatnya prosentase fraksi pasir (sand) dan liat (clay) akan diikuti oleh meningkatnya kelimpahan Gastropoda, sedangkan untuk fraksi lumpur (silt) akan sebaliknya yaitu meningkatnya fraksi lumpur akan diikuti oleh menurunnya kelimpahan Gastropoda. Kata kunci: Tipe Substrat, Gastropoda, Mangrove, Kulonprogo  Mangrove substrates formed by sands, silts, and clays. Gastropods is a group of animals of the phylum of mollusks lives on the type of substrate from rough to smooth. Gastropod abundance is affected by substrate which habitat of gastropods and nutrients influencing the distribution of gastropods. Therefore, it needs a deeper research about the correlation of substrate and the amount of gastropods , because gastropods are the importants factor of mangrove ecosystem. The research helds in Kulonprogo Mangrove Forest, Yogyakarta, and the goals are to know the type of substrate, the amount of gastropods, and the correlation among them. This research held on April – Mei 2017. This research use descriptivemethod wich research method that provide a systematic, factual, accurate description of the factors and quality an area or population. The method on sampling sediments and gastropods is purposive sampling in 3 station. Station 1 near the settlement, station 2 near ponds, station 3 on the estuary. The results of this research shows that the sediments on every station are clay and dusty clay, which is dominated by silt,and sand fraction. The gastropods that obtained are Littoraria, Natica, Faunus, Cerithium, Neritina, Polinices, Conus, Telescopium, and Nerita. The percentage increasing on sands and clays fraction would be more gastropods. Otherwise on silts fraction.

Abstract

Potensi sumberdaya perikanan tangkap di Indonesia, termasuk di pantura Jawa Tengah terindikasi telah mengalami tangkap lebih (overfishing). Kondisi ini salah satunya disebabkan oleh tekanan penangkapan yang didominasi oleh perikanan tangkap skala kecil yang banyak beroperasi di perairan pantai. Oleh sebab itu, pengelolaan dan pemanfaatan sumberdaya perikanan tangkap di pantura Jawa Tengah ke depan sudah saatnya dilakukan rasionalisasi dan menentukan kebijakan yang berkaitan dengan peningkatan armada perikanan tangkap yang mampu beroperasi di lepas pantai yang masih memberikan peluang pengembangan usaha perikanan tangkap. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis seberapa tinggi potensi dan tingkat pemanfaatan sumberdaya perikanan tangkap di pantura Jawa Tengah dan peluang pengembangan usaha perikanan tangkap tersebut di masa yang akan datang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dan observasi lapangan di masing-masing kabupaten/kota pantura Jawa Tengah sebagai daerah penerima bantuan kapal >30 GT yang meliputi Kabupaten Pekalongan, Kota Pekalongan, Kabupaten Batang, Kabupaten Pati, dan Kabupaten Rembang. Analisis data untuk menduga potensi dan peluang pengembangan usaha perikanan tangkap di waktu yang akan datang dilakukan dengan menggunakan model bioekonomi dari Gordon-Schaefer (Sparre and Venema, 1999) berdasarkan data time series produksi ikan dan upaya penangkapan dari tahun 2006-2009. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan potensi sumberdaya perikanan tangkap di pantura Jawa Tengah, termasuk di beberapa kabupaten/kota pantura Jawa Tengah terindikasi telah mengalami overfishing. Pemanfaatan sumberdaya perikanan tangkap yang overfishing tersebut terbukti tidak efisien, karena dengan tingkat upaya penangkapan lebih besar dari EMSY, namun hasil tangkapannya justru lebih kecil dibandingkan CMSY, di mana dalam kurun waktu 2006 – 2009 produksi perikanan di pantura Jawa Tengah berkisar 153,698-195,636 ton. Dengan kondisi potensi sumberdaya perikanan tangkap di pantura Jawa Tengah tersebut, maka program bantuan kapal sebesar >30 GT dari pemerintah yang diperuntukan untuk mengurangi tekanan perikanan tangkap merupakan peluang pengembangan usaha perikanan tangkap. Meski demikian perlu dilakukan perbaikan, terutama dalam hal spesifikasi kapal dan perlengkapannya serta peningkatan pelabuhan perikanan yang memadai untuk fishing base dari kapal-kapal tersebut sehingga tujuan peningkatan produksi dan kelestarian sumberdaya ikan dapat dicapai untuk meningkatkan pendapatan nelayan. Kata kunci: produksi perikanan, model bioekonomi, pengelolaan perikanan tangkap skala kecil. The research on capture fisheries resources in north coastal of Central Java were to anticipate amount produce and effort of capture fisheries. Usefulness from this research expected to earn as reference of management of small scale fisheries and consideration alternative which can be taken for local government of Central Java Province. Primary data were collected from local fishers, while secondary data were collected from district and Marine and Fishery Services Central Java Province. Data series of 2006 to 2009 were also analyzed by bioeconomic analysis with surplus production model. The result indicate that condition of capture fisheries resources in North Coastal of Central Java were overfishing, included its several regency/city adjacent areas. The effort in developing fish capture has reached its boredom circumstance so this situation needs better maintenance and control toward the capturing activities. The policiy expected to minimize exploitation of fishery resources on coastal area, and the vessel can more further to off shore and oceanic area. The government as a policy maker on fisheries management for coastal fisheries must applicable precautionary approach by focusing on biology and economic aspects.
